Beloved

The Fool is a jester in a court for most of the first trilogy and wears a black and white motley. He's witty, sarcastic and weird (he has a scepter with a dead rat on it named Ratsy). She's sometimes a woman named Amber and says that all the "plumbing" is not important.They're very private and we learn their real name (Beloved) 4 books into the series. They can see possible futures and wants to change the course of the world to make it better. He manipulates people and even his best friend Fitz in order to do that, but he feels very guilty about it. He's the most character ever and I love him.

Cicero

The reason why Cicero was forced to retire from assassinations, was because he was appointed as The Keeper of The Night Mother's corpse.Who is a religious figure within the assassin's guild, The Dark Brotherhood.

The Dark Brotherhood was falling, and Cicero ended up alone with two other living people. During said years, Cicero was desperate to hear The Night Mother's voice, but only ended up with laughter instead.Cicero recognised the laughter as the jester's, and accept it as his friend and gift from The Night Mother. Is still hesitant though, and wants to hear The Night Mother's voice

After the final member aside from Cicero dies, he fully embraces the laughter and becomes a jester himself.

CR Non-Endgame Ships Poll

Hello and welcome to the project that’s been occupying me all week! A showdown of sorts between 32 Critical Role ships that were not together by the end of their respective campaign! Some notes;

I’ve gone with the phrasing “non-endgame” as some of the relationships featured were together in canon at some point (ex. Blumendrei) or one half/both were canonically attracted to the other/had a crush (ex Widofjord). These are here alongside relationships that are purely fanon (ex. Verinwulf)

Since C3 and present-day EXU are still ongoing, open stories, no ships featuring those characters are included. Anything’s possible. Since EXU: Calamity is a closed story, it gets featured.

All relationships featured here are m/m, f/f, or poly. I have a running list for m/f ships and may do a bracket for them in the future depending on how this one goes. I am not ignoring them.

Each poll will feature art of the characters in question, included with permission from their artists. Links to the original posts will be included and I highly encourage giving them some love if you vote!

Let’s not do ship hate y’all, this is for fun. Please. Campaign for your favorites but keep it civil.

Some ideas for future live show (or not live show) oneshots:

Darrington Brigade follow up. I know they had merch made and were intending to do more Darrington Brigade stuff pre-pandemic shutdown, so I'd love to at least see a part two of this eventually.

Kingsley Tealeaf's pirate crew. I want to see Kingsley lead his own crew to take over Darktow and eventually lift the Mighty Nein's banishment.

Mighty Nein Fjord/Jester wedding. Because that obviously needs to happen now. Maybe once the world calms down from the solstice and all of that is finally dealt with.

Luc Brenatto and the Wildemount Wildlings. In whatever way it makes sense, I just want to see teenage Luc having to be the responsible one and trying to protect the campers the way the Mighty Nein protected him.

Grog/Yasha/Ashton high level barbarian showdown. They can each bring a team member. I know there's seven players so the math doesn't work out, but I'm sure Matt can figure out a way to make this work.

Vox Machina vs Mighty Nein part two. Level 20. The characters that we didn't see the first time with Sam helming Veth and Tary. I'd also take a VMxMNxBH three sided battle to the death with similar switching mechanics for added chaos.

A crossover oneshot where they play a mix of characters from across the three campaigns. Post campaign three, presumably when the solstice is dealt with and peace restored to the best of their ability, some small hiccup happens and the available/relevant members of Vox Machina, the Mighty Nein, and Bell's Hells are called to deal with it.

Chip keeps telling Gill lies about the overworld is is Shocked when it turns out bad. In the second episode they manage to blow up their pirate ship. There are no brain cells among them. They’re pirates but Gill thinks they’re good guys and it takes til episode 20 something for chip to go “omg are we the bad guys?” Chip wants to find a pirate with a big bounty NOT to get the money but “maybe she can teach us to be good pirates”. Chip stripped naked to distract guards, and then was shocked when he was naked???

Lup & Taako

they are technically smart or at least skilled magic wielders BUT they have such dumbass energy it’s unreal. Taako is dating the grim reaper and their first meeting was his future bc trying to reap his soul bc of his death crimes. Lup is dating a guy named Barry Bluejeans. they are ridiculous and if you left them alone in a room together something would end up broken, stolen, or transmogrified

i am desperate to know where essek would have fit in the nein's contingency plans for beau and caleb in aeor. the general idea was to remove the worst conflicts of interest (veth assigned to beau, with yasha on caleb duty) but would it really have made sense to assign essek to beau, who the majority of the remaining party (veth, jester, fjord) was already focused on? caduceus seemed confident that he could neutralize caleb in one spell, but at that point our glass canon was still a level 14-15 wizard and between yasha and caduceus, counterspell wasn't an option. i'm obsessed with the idea of an alternate universe where a wizard v. wizard showdown happens as essek tries to buy time for yasha and caduceus to implement their plan
