Productivity for Work from Home Moms _ Stop multitasking. Studies show that it slows your progress down. _ Get more sleep. While the deadlines might be irritating, get some extra sleep. Yes it seems impossible, but your body will thank you and your brain will function better. _ Delegate extra chores. This doesn't have to mean hiring someone. Have your groceries delivered. Order from a food service company. _ Be self aware. What are you good at? What do you struggle with? Pick time management systems that work WITH you, not against you. _ Don't create an incredibly long to do list. Having too many tasks that you're trying to complete will simply slow you down. What a powerful scripture this is. Having worked in the youth industry for all this years and being a mother for my independent children, I wish I had an understanding of this scripture many years ago the way I do now. We see how we a mothering other people's children because they want from the world what they did not get from their homes. Love, attention, the list goes on. We as parents we left those vacuums to be filled by other people, particularly teachers. Working mom tip _ Teach independence _ Feel like there's never enough time in the day to get it all done? Clean the bedrooms and bathrooms. Do the dishes. Dry the laundry. _ It can feel like a monumental achievement just to keep the floor clean for the day. _ This is where teaching independence comes in. Make sure your children and spouse know when you need help. Even younger kids can help pick up their toys and put their dishes on the counter. _ Have chores that are listed for everyone to do. Your spouse can help with the laundry. Have the older kids do dishes and vacuum. The little ones can pick up the floor and sweep. _ Yes it's going to be work but believe me, it's worth it to have a family that works cohesively.
