Jung Ji Ho's awkward expressions will always be my favorite.
He was literally trying his best to convince everyone that he's fine so Choi Sang Eun wouldn't have to cook for him and make a mess in the kitchen.

imagine divorcing a man who
- cooks like a michelin chef 3 days a week
- delivers food to your office without you asking
- kisses like the devil
(if i was his ex-wife i would want him back too)

I love Jiho, he might be awkward and might not know how to interact or talk to people, but he’s so sweet in his own way and so kind and reliable and respectful. He has a lot of good things going for him that would make him a dream husband and it’s pretty obvious that Sangeun is attached and attracted to him. I have no idea how they’re going to include a love triangle in this because so far Haejin has struck me as an irritating and entitled brat, and it really pissed me off how he just shoved her into that situation without her consent. While Jiho did something similar in the concert (when he called her his wife), he did it when he was flustered and put on the spot, so it looks like he did the first thing he could think of. And Sangeun happily played along!
I mean I absolutely love seeing Go Kyung Pyo in this role and he does awkward-slash-endearing-slash-jealous so very well but I don’t think I’d want the already interesting dynamic and chemistry between Jiho and Sangeun messed up by a second lead who inspires no second lead syndrome at all. Right now I just want to see Jiho and Sangeun happy, and I think they’re really good together. No need for unnecessary love triangle drama when the other guy feels like a plot device to insert comedy and conflict.

the only flaw with jung ji ho is that he doesn’t exist in real life (or at least in my life)
he’s so patient and understanding. he’s not petty or jealous. he goes out of his way to respect sang eun. and is never rude or mean towards her. even though him and hae jin are in marriage contracts with her, he’s doesn’t push for more. and then once him and sang eun have come to announce their feelings for one another, he’s even more perfect in that he wants to know so much about her - cus petty haejin gets under his skini with nonsense and bullshit - him writing  400+ quesions about everything he wants to know about his gf is truly so cute. like  he cooks, he brings you lunch, he cleans, he really does it all. like ok, yes his social skills aren’t the greatest, but he’s working on it and that’s okay in my eyes.
tl;dr he’s perfect and he deserves the world.

Do you remember the first Monday you came to my house? That day, I wanted to cancel our contract. When I got home after signing the contract, I was worried I was being too hasty and unreasonable. I waited while having those thoughts. But you came and said you were really hungry. You wanted to have dinner together because you didn't eat anything. You asked what should we eat. You asked me so brightly and I was flabbergasted. The food we had together that day was scrumptious. I thought for sure it would be uncomfortable and awkward. But strangely I felt very comfortable. So, I couldn't take back our contract.

i really love the slow burn romance of the main couple but it’s disappointing that the creators are STILL trying to push the love triangle angle AND the ex returning plot device. we already have haejin (who i’m starting to feel sorry for, seeing how his affection os definitely one sided and stems from his own trauma and envy), now we have the ex-wife in the picture, too. i get that these two (plus madame yoo) are tied to the main leads’ past and traumas that made their characters what they are now, but it feels a little heavy-handed and disruptive to the development of their relationship in a very plot device-y and inorganic way.
tbh haejin and sangeun could very easily be good friends who can relate to each other, but sangeun ends up being an object of affection for haejin to latch onto, and she’s weirdly passive about it (vs how she is with jiho). the ex-wife didn’t need to literally come back, their story could have been used to bring the leads closer through an honest conversation about their pasts, but they really literally brought her back into the picture, red suit and nails and all.
the two leads already have enough on their plate to work with, so having the sources of their trauma (or at least, in haejin’s case, him being related to it) actually pop up in their lives to add conflict to their already very very slow burn relationship is really frustrating. pity because minyoung and kyungpyo have the acting chops to explore their characters’ relationship without all that and i think they’re already doing exactly this, which is probably why the added stuff seems to be annoying viewers. I still really like the show but I think with episode 8 they’re going too far in stretching these elements of the plot when halfway through the show it’s already too late to insert credibility to the love triangle, let alone add another to make it a square.

If that kiss ACTUALLY HAPPENED… they better not just keep it as just a “mistake” because dude wasn’t drunk and knew exactly what he was doing!! That is what makes him even more disgusting and it’s not attractive or okay. He will never recover from it for me if there isn’t acknowledgment and an apology. He’s so sick for that🤢
