In contrast to last year, this year we’ve collectively been nervously watching what that fucking horse is going to do next, hoping that that horse-catcher is about to tie to noose around both the horse and whichever twat let it in in the hospital in the first place.

So it was with music. Mainstream acts were left in the lurch allowing newcomers to come in and make a name for themselves, reflected in who got featured in last year’s list. This year however big name bands have reminded us that they can show the newbies a thing or two about how hold a tune

Given just how good 2018 has been for music, I left this year’s Follow Forever as late as I could just to jam everything in. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for sticking around, filling out my dash with things I actually care about and just y’know... reminding me that I value the friendships I made online as I do in cursed Meatspace

I’m following a few more people this year so a brief explanation - every year I pick out songs that either I associate most closely with you (assoc), or songs that I feel you would like that you may not have heard before (rec) and I always ensure that they’re songs released in the same period as the post. it’s gonna make playing with dps mains that much more aggravating the genji that gets like 2 kills a match is gonna be screaming into his mic about the lack of rez when I bring back the Lucio or Zen that has Gold Eliminations and Damage

Jay’s Follow Forever 2016/17: Real Fuckin’ Late Edition

It’s been quite an adventure since that last time I did one of these in June of last year.

Since then the world has become a bit more interesting then I felt was strictly necessary, something which was reflected when I put this together. Finding good, new music has been harder this time around, mostly because I’ve found myself being personally and professionally much, much busier. I’ve actually felt myself descending into an almost cabin-feverish fugue state, allayed only by my holiday last month and more importantly, you lot talking, chatting enthusiastically diving into endless new favourite things, with each other and myself.
