I’m addicted to this new Turkish soap drama on Netflix called As The Crow Flies, which Netflix describes as being about “a young news intern’s ambition and how it turns deadly”.  Asli (pictured above) becomes obsessed with beautiful journalist Lale Kiran and does everything she can to insert herself into Lale’s world. It sort of feels like an All About Eve type of story, and Asli is devious as hell lol. I absolutely love Lale, the journalist Asli is stalking.  Lale is beautiful, accomplished and the show does a great job of showing it isn’t just Lale’s beauty that got her to the top of her career, it’s her wisdom and her fearless integrity when it comes to true journalism. 

This show has all the elements needed for a soapy drama- trickery, deceit, wealth, sexy affairs and EVERYBODY is good-looking lol. The series also delves into social media and how it can be manipulated and abused as a news source. The opening scene pulled me right in and I had to force myself to go to sleep at 3 AM watching it.

Highly recommend if you love scandal/soap dramas like me, and Turkish dramas are fast becoming my favorite to watch.

We had a good time goofing around in Divinity’s Reach the other day! Bria showed off her Canach cosplay (she’s very proud of it!) and it kinda evolved into a costume party and the take-over of some poor lady’s booth.

“Lale! Look what I got!” 

There was pure excitement in Bria’s voice as she plopped down in a chair next to her friend and triumphantly held up a small bag that seemed to be filled with... something. Judging by the shape of the bag, lots of smaller pieces. Pebbles, maybe? 

It wasn’t like she gave the other sylvari much time to guess what the contents could be, however. The next moment she already turned the bag upside down and dropped them onto the table in front of them, revealing a very large amount of Zhaitaffy. It formed a little pile between them, the colourful wrappers practically begging for the sweet, delicious candy inside to be eaten.

“Did you know there’s a big party in Hoelbrak where you can smash paper dragons and get free candy? Alrik showed me how it’s done, it’s great!”

Bria reached out and grabbed a piece, unwrapped the paper and plopped the taffy in her mouth, chewing happily on it before holding another one out to Lale with a bright smile.

“I know you’ve been busy doing important things with Kiran today, so I brought enough to share with the both of you. Here! Dig in!”
