Something Tells me These Two are Doubly Lapissed...

Right off the bat, as someone who dislikes Lapis Lazuli I’m so happy to have two more Lapises for me to hate. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Sorry, had to get that out of my system along. That along with my terrible title probably isn’t the best way to open my post, but oh well.

But all jokes aside, let’s talk about the two Lapis Lazulis and why they might be villains.

First off I wanna say that I’m actually very interested in what these Lapis’ could do for the show in terms of villain potential. The Lapis Lazuli we know has incredible destructive potential and has continued to show that from her appearance in season 1 all the way through Season 5.

So to have not just one but two of them being villains in Steven Universe Future is incredibly exciting. I mean, they could be incredibly dangerous both to our protagonists and the very world they live in. And oh... imagine if they decided to fuse!? The possibilities are endless and I just can’t believe I’m saying I’m excited about anyone named Lapis Lazuli in 2019.

But now the question comes as why...

Well, considering that from the looks of things, they’re entirely new characters that’s gonna be a little harder to predict.

The first of which is simple, they have beef with Lapis or some other gem in the squad. Nothing too major, but definitely the easiest way to go about it.

But then again, my personal opinion is that they’re more angry that they’re out of a job above all else. And I don’t mean that they believe in Old Homeworld’s ideals like Jasper or Aquamarine. But I mean, that they’re just angry that because Homeworld doesn’t colonize anymore because Steven’s pretty much abolished that. And since Lapis’ need to terraform and these two can’t fill out their purpose in life, they decide to take that out on Steven and the earth making them incredibly dangerous foes.

But those are just my theories regarding them.

I mean I love me some beefy gals but personally spinels backstory hit me slot harder than anything else in the entire show, I was full out bawling my eyes out during her sad song. No one in my life would understand my love for this Lil pink gremlin and I love your blog so I just wanted to vent lol. I have a feeling I'm about to be in the same boat as you next season, spinels voice actor is pretty pricey so I'm sure Ill be thirsty for her content. Lol.

Urgh I know right? And don't get me wrong. I was just very surprised xD

And don't worry. I know how it is. So if you feel angry about Spinel not being there come here. I will not be like the lapiss stans. I'll be here and understand. Because in the end. We both know how it is to lose your Fav and others telling ya to be silent.

1: which episode originally got you hooked? which episode did you start to realize things were going completely fucking pear shaped?

mod b: i REALLY loved the look of the pilot. it was so weird and cool! it was the perfect blend of anime and 80’s cartoons influence. but for the actual show, i think it was “frybo” that told me this show would be something special… but then episodes like “GEM HARVEST” came along. there were iffy episodes before, but none of them pissed me off more like “gem harvest”… fuck uncle andy.mod s: kind of a weird answer, but i haven’t heard of SU before. i just sort of plopped on the couch and watched “Cat fingers” and i was like “… huh. okay? that was pretty cute.” but i didn’t bother getting into the show (because I’m lazy like that). but i always ALWAYS had an understanding of what the show was.then my little sister sent me “On the Run” and that was the episode that got me to watch everything coming after it. i saw Jailbreak not too long after and got very attached to the series afterwards, watching it in pieces from episode 1.… then Sardonyx week happened. and i already hated pearl. so you can guess how THAT week turned out for me. it’s hard to pinpoint an episode because that entire week was garbage - total garbage. that’s when I realized SU can have harsh downfalls.the final nail in the coffin was Bismuth.

3: who’s your favorite and least favorite character?

mod b: my favorite is honestly a toss up of amethyst and smoky quartz. amethyst was always the most relatable to me. i love her playful but caring personality, i love her design (tho i miss when she had cat eyes!), i love SO much about her. and smoky quartz is one of my FAVORITE fusions. peridot used to be up there, but… you know. my least favorite is… surprisingly not blue diamond, despite how much i’ve written on how much her writing sucks lol. but no, my least favorite used to be pearl, but now it’s lapis. just.. why is she even around???

mod s: my favorite is Amethyst. Amethyst forever, Amethyst for always. Garnet and Bismuth come close (and Peridot used to be on equal fave with Amethyst until Lapis mutilated her and left her to get eaten by stupid fan fiction diarrhea wolves). Amethyst is the best. Best story, best voice acting, best personality, best potential.pole and lapiss can get shattered for all i care (and pray for)PS: Blue diamond bloody sucks too but i’m still holding onto the hope she’ll get her tyrannical crybaby ass shattered too because she’s a bad guy. DON’T FAIL ME.

mod b: aw dammit there are so many… but i will try to cherry pick just a few

add in anytime pearl is an emotionally manipulative ho, any of lapis’ recent dumb dialogue, all of blue diamond’s dialogue in the “out of this world” event, anytime the crew tries to attempt “dark” humor, and pretty much everything from “gem harvest”
