Tsukasa & Nene (Project Sekai)
a/n: @thatonetickleblog PAYTON IT WAS REALLY HARD KEEPING IT A SECRET FROM YOU, BUT GUESS WHOS UR SQUEALING SANTA! i was really happy that i got you, especially we have similar interests and i originally planned to get this done for christmas but things came up… anyways, i kinda struggled characterizing nene so sorry if she’s ooc, BUT I HOPE U ENJOY PAYTON ILYSM
summary: when nene and tsukasa are left alone to practice for a show, things end up turning in a way neither of them expected.
word count: 1.2k
——
Nene stood awkwardly as Tsukasa prattled on and on about their next show. He was clearly and very vocal about his excitement. Of course, she was excited too, but… did he have to be. so loud?!
The two were at Tsukasa’s house. Rui realized he forgot an important prop and went to go get it, Emu deciding to tag along. This left Nene and Tsukasa all alone, which Nene didn’t mind, but she wasn’t used to dealing with the other’s seemingly infinite amount of energy.
“So what do you think, Nene?!” Tsukasa shouted, after a few minutes. Nene flinched at being addressed all of a sudden.
“It’s.. an idea, alright..” She started, but trailed off. “But…”
“But..?” This caught Tsukasa’s attention as he slowed down his movements, intent on listening to her completely.
“I think if we reveal who the culprit was at the end… it might leave the audience feeling unsatisfied? It kinda.. takes out the magical feel to it…” She mumbled, feeling shy. “I-I mean, it’s a good idea but the kind of story we are acting feels like an open ending would fit better.”
Tsukasa was silent for a few moments and Nene wondered if he didn’t like what he said.
“Hah!” Tsukasa yelled out, suddenly, hitting his fist to his palm. “You’re right, Nene!”
Tsukasa pulled out a pencil and began marking on the script. Nene, on the other hand, watched. She didn’t respond to his words, but she could feel happiness swelling up in her chest. She was afraid he wouldn’t like her changing the script, but she forgot what kind of person Tsukasa was.
“There we go! How’s that?” Tsukasa exclaimed, handing her the script. She read over it and skimmed through the notes, before giving an approving nod.
“It’s good.” She said, giving it back to the other.
“Great! Let’s practice!”
“N-now?! Shouldn’t we wait until Emu and Rui come back?” She asked, though she stood up anyway.
“We’ll practice when they are here too, but no harm in getting a head start!” Tsukasa explained, standing alongside her. He stretched his arms up for a moment, but pointed at a certain scene. “Let’s start here!”
“Okay..”
——
And so, they practiced. Since Tsukasa was the star of the show this time, that meant there were more scenes were Nene wasn’t as present or kinda just… stood there awkwardly. She didn’t mind, though. She didn’t want a lead spot like Tsukasa, anyway. Still, the role she was in, as the main character’s magical fairy guide, was a bit more out there than her previous roles.
“Hi-yah!” Tsukasa shouted, thrusting his palm out to the side and…
“Ow!” Nene gasped, holding her nose.
“Nene! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to do that!” Tsukasa all but lept at her, concern painted on his face.
“You..” Nene said, voice a bit nasally from covering her nose.
“How can I make it up to you?!”
“You idiot!” Nene let her impulses get the best of her as she pounced on Tsukasa, feeling a sudden desire for payback. She wasn’t exactly sure what fo do, thouugh, until she landed on top of him. Tsukasa, clearly not prepared for this uncharacteristic action, toppled over, landing on the sofa. A small squeal slipped from his mouth and it didn’t take a genius to figure out why. Nene looked down, her hands gripping each side of Tsukasa’s ribs.
“NenEHEHEHE?!” He blurted, but was interrupted by his own laughter. Nene didn’t really know exactly what she was doing, but now that she started, she felt she couldn’t stop.
“You need to be more careful wifh your actions.” She pouted, annoyed, but kneaded her small hands into the other’s sides.
“Whahahat ahahahare y-you dohohohoing?!” Tsukasa screeched, shocked and embarrassed. Nene felt embarrassed too, but she pushed that feeling away.
“Payback..” She said, simply, not trusting herself to say any more. It was hard to admit, but Tsukasa actually.. looked quite cute like this. She was used to his boastful smiles and laughter, but this.. felt more genuine, like a side of Tsukasa she rarely got to see.
“Pahahahay bahahack?! I sahahahaid I wahahahas s-sohohorry!”
“Maybe you shouldn’t have been so reckless!” Nene spat, pinching in between each of the bones in his ribs. His ribs seemed like a sensitive area, but they couldn’t ellicit anything more than giggles and Nene had the urge to incite laughter out of the blond.
Instead, she began squeezing at his sides, light and barely there, but enough for yet another squeal to pass Tsukasa’s lips.
“NOHOHOHO N-nohohot thEHehere!”
Oh. This seemed like a good spot. Nene decided to linger there for a couple seconds, testingly trying different areas of his sides, different pressures, anything to see what gave her the most reactions.
“You’re so sensitive. It’s fitting for you…” She muttered, pressing at his sides like they were buttons on a controller.
“W-whAHAHAt is thAHAHAHAt s-sUHPOSehehed tohoho mean?!” Tsukasa cackled. “Just pihick sohohomewhere else!”
“If you say so.” And so, somewhere else became his stomach, including his belly button. She scribbled over his ticklish skin, though she could tell the clothing he was wearing offered some protection, but still drove him mad nonetheless.
“EhEHEHEHEh..!” Tsukasa shrieked, giggling and laughing. He seemed to squirm a lot, but didn’t put up much of a fight. Nene decided to store that in her mind for later, but then she thought about how stupid it would be to do that, so she erased it from her mind. (She would still remember.)
“Everywhere is just so.. sensitive, isn’t it?” Tsukasa blushed at that. It was true. Tsukasa was one of the most ticklish people she knew, even among her troupe, which were embarrassingly ticklish themselves. She was sure it was her and Tsukasa who held the record. Though, it was only Rui who knew about this fact compared to everyone being aware of Tsukasa’s ticklishness, through the fours’ countless tickle fights. Nene usually stayed out of those, though.
“Stohohohop..!” Tsukasa mumbled, through his laughter, holding his hands up to his face.
“…” Nene dipped her finger into his bellybutton. At least, as far as it could go through his clothes, and vibrated her fingers.
“AHHHAHHAAHA!”” Tsukasa laughed and laughed and Nene smiled along with him, resisting the urge to laugh to show him just how much she was enjoying this. But, she could indulge herself in a smile at the very least, she thought to herself.
“Ah, looks like you two had fun without us, huh?” Rui’s smirk could be heard in his voice and just like a cat, Nene jumped from her current position to almost all across on the other side of the room, her blush matching Tsukasa’s for being caught. Tsukasa stayed where he was, residual giggles leaving his mouth.
“Nene, you tickled Tsukasa?! No fair!” Emu pouted, though she seemed happy that they seemed to have a good time.
“Shut up..” Nene muttered, quietly, crossing her arms.
“Yeah, she got me pretty good…” Tsukasa sighed, the laughter and tingles finally leaving his system.
“I wanna tickle Tsukasa too!” Emu exclaimed, wiggling her fingers. Tsukasa only responded with a gulp.
“It has been a while, hasn’t it?” Rui pondered, almost as if he was feeling nostalgic.
“It’s only been two days!” Tsukasa squawked, panic and anticipation in his face, but before he could say any more, Emu was already tickling him, Rui following shortly after.
Idiots, Nene thought, as she smiled and decided to join in.

The lovers were all gathered up over at the Tenma's household, hosting a movie marathon for valentine's day. They were all cuddled up on the couch, Shizuku and Nene on each extreme while Tsukasa was snuggled up against Shizuku. And Rui well... he was currently bugging Nene by laying his lanky body on top of her.
"Ugh... Rui get off!" Nene complained with a spraweled Rui all over her lap, trying to push him off but the bastard wouldn't budge.
"You can't make me~" he taunted her like some cocky toddler, sticking his tongue out playfully. Nene could only grumble at him.
"Oh yeah? Wanna bet on that?" suddenly, Nene's frustrated expression was overtaken by a teasy smirk, 'causing Rui to feel a wee bit nervous. But he still managed to keep up with his confident demeanor.
"I bet you 10 kisses that you can't get me to move~" he slyly smirked up at her, feeling like he had the upper hand.
Nene looked a bit flushed, before grinning down at him devilishly "You're on". With that, she quickly shot her hands down to his stomach, playfully scribbling wherever her fingers could reach.
"Gyah! W-wait! Nene not thahahat!" as expected, Rui quickly felt into a hysterical giggle fit. Trying his hardest to remain still on her lap, but he couldn't help twitch and squirm at each ticklish touch.
"Please, you saw this coming a mile away" Nene smirked as she snuck her hands under his shirt, making Rui flop around like a fish out of water.
"Nahahaha! I-I'm sahaharry!" he tried to plead at her, his cheeks already burning red, but Nene didn't buy that apology.
"Hmm... I dunno... Should I really stop?~" she then softly wiggled a finger inside his navel, causing him to shriek and weakly kick his legs out.
"WAH- HAHAHAHAHA! WAIT- OKAY! OKAHAHAY!".
"Okay what?".
"I-I'LL STAHAHAP B-BOTHERING YOHOHOU!".
"Mm..." Nene got lost in thought for a moment, observing her flustered boyfriend. His head was all thrown back, eyes squeezed shut, flushed cheeks to oblivion, and who could forget about that blinding smile? As much fun as this was, she didn't want to kill him so after a bit she finally showed some mercy. Opting to softly rub at his tummy to comfort him.
Rui instantly sucked in as much air as he could, curling up all tired from the tickles. Once he recovered, he looked up at her, a sly smirk on his face. "You didn't get me to move, so now you owe me 10 kisses~" he did the kissy face up at her, causing Nene to let out a flustered groan, hiding her face behind her hands. Rui being the tease he is only chuckled in reply, wrapping his arms around his grumpy girlfriend and softly kissing the front of her hands.
"Aww, how cute~!" Shizuku cooed from her side of the couch, watching the playful scene between her partners always brought a smile to her face. She squeezed Tsukasa tightly in her embrace, the blonde happily nuzzling against her chest. "...Makes me wanna tickle you too~" Shizuku giggled innocently as her fingers began to walk up Tsukasa's sides.
"S-Shizuku, w-wahahait!" Tsukasa started to frantically giggle, his cheeks slowly turning into a cute, pink color.
"It's so cute how ticklish you are~" Shizuku smiled as her fingers softly danced under his arms, making Tsukasa squeal and thrash around on her lap.
"NAHAHA! N-NOT THEHEHERE!" he instantly tried clamping his arms down as tight as he could, but nothing could get Shizuku to relent on her tickly torment.
"Ahh coochi coochi coo, Tsukasa-kun~" Shizuku playfully teased into his ear, making Tsukasa somehow squeal even louder. "Aww, I forgot how ticklish your ears are~" Shizuku giggled against his ear, making Tsukasa giggle all bashfully.
"S-stahahap thahahat!" he let out a playful whine as he covered his reddened face behind his hands.
"Oh alright, but only because I love you~" Shizuku placed a soft kiss at the side of his neck, earning a cute squeak from her boyfriend. She giggled at his reaction as she went back to holding him lovingly. The blonde quickly taking in deep breaths.
After that whole tickling session, both boyfriends were completely exhausted. Each of them having falled asleep on one of their girlfriends laps, the movie long forgotten.

First Ruikasa fic ever! Inspired because @ticklish-n-stuff makes amazing fics and because I love Ruikasa angst/comfort and idiots falling in love or idiots realizing they're in love!

The Ruikasa happens near the end!
Tumblr media
Rui sighed for the bazillionth time that day, plopping right back down on the bed after having gone over to his door and grabbed the doorknob. He had ended up not opening the door, noticing his fingers were ever so slightly trembling.
As he stared up at his ceiling in the dim light, his little inventions piled up everywhere around him, the purple-haired boy could not help but be frustrated at himself.
He knew what time it was. If he didn't leave now, he would be late for rehearsal. And he was usually the first one there.
If the others had specific questions about the tech... Rui wouldn't be there for them. But he couldn't confront Tsukasa. At least, not before figuring out what was going on with himself first.
Why had that one joke Tsukasa made yesterday affected Rui so much, when he'd completely brushed off much worse insults by complete strangers at school? Rui Kamishiro of all people was sulking in his room because of some stupid joke? This whole situation has got to be some stupid joke. And Rui had tried laughing at it, laughing it off. But it sounded far too bitter, and the feeling that came along with it was far too uncomfortable.
"Rui! If you don't want to take it seriously, then leave!"
At least, Rui thought it was supposed to be a joke, as the words echoed through his mind again.
Maybe Tsukasa had just had a bad day, or maybe it was a really bad attempt at a joke, but the intention hardly mattered when a single quiet sob broke the silence. It surprised Rui enough to stop and think yet again. No tears ended up coming out, but he was only increasing in frustration. Why had one line affected him so much when he felt fine the previous day?
Admittedly, Rui already knew the troupe could probably manage going on without his ideas. It's something his classmates had made abundantly clear from a young age. No one really needed his ideas. Sure they might be different or funny or ambitious, but everyone in his past could always make something just as good without them... they'd all said.
That night, Rui couldn't sleep no matter how long he tried for. He tried everything short of sleeping pills, since he didn't have any. In the end, he ended up pulling an all-nighter working on his next mechanical project to take his mind off of whatever was going on. It worked for the night, but...
Rui remembered he had to go to school still. He might not pay attention because he can learn it on his own and get the homework done relatively quickly, but attendance was attendance.
Even at school, his classmates observed Rui being a different kind of strange. Instead of scribbling ideas and mumbling to himself, he was oddly spacey, staring outside at the sky and taking several minutes longer to realize that class had ended.
Not to mention, he timed his pathing to completely avoid Tsukasa, not even taking the opportunity to get into any messes or trouble. Even the teachers, who knew the way Rui was, were getting a little concerned. One even approached him in the hall and asked if everything was okay because "You haven't done a single disruptive thing, and you look kind of down."
Rui seemed to be rather caught off guard by that sudden concern from a teacher, even laughing a little bit at that.
"I appreciate the concern," he did not, "Yeah, I'm fine, just haven't been getting as much sleep as usual." He explains it away, going on his way before the teacher could respond.
Rui continued to avoid going to a couple more rehearsals without any better reason than 'I have to work on the tech for the show' over text, and it was strange for the rest of WxS.
To Tsukasa, it was strange because Rui was always so invested in the rehearsals. Yet, now he's working a lot more on his machines than anything.
To Emu, it was strange to not have someone to bounce fun ideas off of. Someone to understand her noises and back her up that it's a good idea.
To Nene, it was strange because she knew that Rui wasn't the type to miss rehearsals. She knew he was the type to take shows very seriously in every aspect. And Nene's concern was the most concerning. If she was concerned with Rui not showing up without an actually good reason, there was something wrong.
Nene tried not to worry anyone, but after a couple more days of this completely avoidant behavior, she said to Emu and Tsukasa, "I'm sure it's nothing too serious, but just in case it is, I think it's best if I go talk to him first."
The others nodded. Out of all of them, Nene knew Rui for the longest and probably knew him best.
Once Nene got back to her own place, she figured she might need backup, because nothing she's seen Rui go through had made the boy hole himself up in his room and avoid everyone. So she called the only sociable person in her and Rui's childhood friend group (and in fact the last member of said childhood friend group), Mizuki.
Mizuki had met Rui on the roof of the middle school he went to. They were just as odd as he was, society had decided, so they became friends with Rui. While he and Nene were still friends, Nene had to go to a different middle school.
Rui's mannerisms had basically settled in by middle school, so Nene and Mizuki were the two most qualified to read Rui's expressions.
"Nene-chan!" Mizuki's voice chirped through the speaker, "We haven't talked in a while! How have you been?"
"I'm okay," Nene responded, "But, I need your help with something."
"Not even a 'how are you' back??" Mizuki joked with a giggle, then got back on topic, "What's up, Nene-chan?" They knew Nene wasn't much for conversation.
"Rui's been acting really weird lately and I might need you to come help and see what's wrong… you know how stubborn he is…" Nene did sound pretty concerned.
"Eh?! What's he doing??"
"He's just been avoiding us, especially Tsukasa, and he's been avoiding talking to us beyond greetings and pleasantries…"
"..." Mizuki was silent for a while, and Nene wondered for a second if they'd disconnected… until they spoke again, "... especially Tsukasa-kun?"
Nene nods… then realizes Mizuki can't hear a nod, "... yeah."
"He's in his place, you said?"
"Yeah, I'm headed over now."
"Alright, I'll be there as soon as possible!"
Nene hummed in affirmation, hanging up the phone, then headed out to head to her neighbor Rui.
-
Rui was working on machinery again, concentrating ability lessened due to the lack of sleep, but still working on machinery. At least it was getting done.
When he heard a knock at the door, Rui jumped for a moment. He had sat there for a moment before he heard a familiar voice come through the closed door, "Rui!" That was the loudest he'd ever heard Nene be, "Open the door, Rui… I need to talk to you."
Rui hesitated. He knew what she would want to talk about.
“… I’m coming!” He called back, nonetheless. He knew he could trust Nene to keep quiet with what he told her, so he put the parts of his machinery he was dealing with down onto his workbench in a specific order so he would know what was where later, and then finally opened the door.
The first thing he was greeted by was Nene’s concerned gaze. Rui realized he probably looked pretty tired too, but he still smiles at his childhood friend, “To what do I owe the pleasure, Nene-chan?”
“You know what I’m here for, Rui. Why have you been avoiding anything to do with Tsukasa lately?” The question causes Rui to pause, trying to determine how he should explain it to Nene, and she took that as wanting to come up with an excuse, “And don’t you dare say it’s nothing.”
It seemed that the long pause was the perfect length of time for Mizuki to arrive.
Since Rui was facing out the door still, he noticed them first, “Eh? Mizuki?” Nene glanced back at the newest arrival, to which Mizuki responded with a smile and a giggle, “Yup! That’s my name! Don’t overuse it! Let’s all go inside to talk!” They gently nudged until the three of them were inside Rui’s messy room.
Mizuki went straight over to Rui’s bed and sat on it and Nene followed suit. Now they were both staring at him expectantly.
“Well this is just like old times~” Rui chuckles, attempting to change the topic. He couldn’t necessarily just shove these two out, and he figured if anyone should know, it should be the two people he trusted most not to judge him.
“Rui,” Mizuki spoke first, rather sternly, “you’re making them worry for you, what’s going on recently?” Nene nods in agreement.
“… well…” Rui hesitates, a slight red coloration tinting his cheeks. This was hardly noticeable at the moment, but he was avoiding looking either of the other two in the eyes.
“… it’s… not exactly nothing, but it is ridiculous and highly unusual…”
“If it’s bothering you, we won’t judge,” Nene spoke up this time, “and I won’t laugh, though I can’t say the same about Mizu.”
“Hey!” Mizuki gently elbowed Nene with a giggle, “I’ll try not to~” they joked to lighten the mood.
Rui relaxed a little, chuckling just a bit, but ultimately said nothing yet.
All it took was a glance at Rui’s hands that were clenched in fists for Mizuki to realize the two of them needed to help him relax more so he would speak more freely. They looked at Nene and mouthed one single word. Nene nodded, understanding what they must do.
“Rui,” Mizuki got his attention first before reaching out, grabbing Rui’s wrist, and pulling him onto them after turning him so that his back was against Mizuki’s front, arms held to his sides by the beat hug Mizuki pulled him into, their legs wrapping around his legs.
“Eh?! What are you-?”
“Now, Nene~!”
Nene had instantly jumped up off of her place on the bed and got in front of Rui, devious fingers moving his shirt up and wiggling her fingers up and down his abdomen.
“Pfft-!” Rui wriggled around in Mizuki’s grasp, but his ticklish nature caused him to noodle his limbs as he squirmed, shaking his head as if it would help him hold back his laughter. It worked at first… until Nene moved to his sides.
“Nahaha- Mihizuhuhu! Nenehehe! Why ahare you dohoing thihihihihs-…?” Rui’s struggles renewed in their intensity as the ticklish sensation spread through his sides.
“Well, we need you to relax, Rui~,” Mizuki explained, “You know you don’t like to speak your mind when you’re so tense~”
Nene sees how Rui’s bright smile was plastered on his face as she tickled him, cheeks flushed at the prospect of being so helpless as he was being tickled.
While this was torture to him, Rui still had just barely enough mental capacity to not throw his head straight back so he avoided bonking Mizuki in the face when Nene's hands moved up his sides, as far as Mizuki's arms across his chest allowed.
But he really cracked when Nene wriggled her hands into Rui's armpits by moving her hands out and to the other side of Mizuki's arms.
"GYAHAHAHAHAHAHA- NEHEHE AHAHAHAHA STAHAHAHAHAP PLEHEHEHEHEHE-" Rui just about died, his laughter fading out into a silent laughter with tears in the corners of his eyes.
Only then did Nene stop tickling him, smiling down at her very ticklish friend.
Mizuki giggled, letting go of Rui and watching as Rui slid down to the ground in a fit of residual giggles. The two of them smiled at Rui, sitting back into his bed and letting Rui catch his breath.
After he could breathe properly again, Rui chuckled a bit, "... thanks, guys."
"Our pleasure, Rui~" Mizuki smiled.
"Now will you tell us?" Nene adds, also smiling.
"Fihine, yes," Rui stayed sitting on the floor with his back against the side of the bed and both friends messing with his hair, "... it's just that, Tsukasa-kun said something the other day, and I really couldn't figure out why it affected me so much…" he conceded.
Mizuki and Nene hummed in thought in unison.
"And besides that, how do you feel about Tsukasa-kun besides that?" Mizuki knew what questions to ask, Nene thinks.
"Well… he's just so bright and engaging, and just about everything he does is like a show in and of itself… and it…" Rui paused for a moment, "... it makes my heart feel like it's gonna beat out of my chest when he smiles at me…" Rui pauses again.
When Nene looks down at him, she sees his face is bright red.
Mizuki looks at him as well, "... ne, Rui…" he looks up at them, "... have you ever thought that maybe it's because you're falling in love with him?"
Rui froze, tensing for a few moments.
"Eh-?!" He was definitely blushing more somehow. He was literally a tomato.
-
The next day, they had rehearsal again. This time, Rui went to Wonderstage. Nene met him just outside and she was also just getting there.
"Ne, Nene," Rui got her attention, "I thought about it last night and… would you mind pretending to finish a last minute errand with Emu for maybe the first half hour?"
She smiled knowingly at him and nodded.
When Rui and Nene showed up at the stage, Tsukasa and Emu were there early.
Nene ran on ahead and asked Emu for help running an errand, and said to Tsukasa, "You stay here." Very subtle.
When Tsukasa saw Rui, the brightest smile came across his face and he basically tackle hugged the taller boy, though he made sure not to tackle him too hard. And Rui hugged him back, stumbling back a couple steps with a giggle.
"RUI! Why'd you avoid me so much?? Did I do anything wrong??" Tsukasa's expression almost immediately turned to a frown as he looked up at Rui, still hugging him.
"Well… just a little… but thanks to that, I figured something out. So it's not a big deal, Tsukasa-kun~" Rui explained.
"Tell me what I did, Rui, so I don't repeat that mistake! A world future star cannot be hurting the troupe he leads!" Tsukasa insisted, finally letting go and pulling back.
Rui chuckled after a short pause, "Will you allow me to tell you my realization first, Tsukasa-kun?" It was a genuine question.
Tsukasa tilted his head a little (like a curious puppy, Rui thought) and confusedly said, "... oh, okay."
"... I took several days off…" Rui took a breath, avoiding eye contact, "... I was thinking a lot about something, and Nene and Mizuki helped me realize that I'm in love with you, my star. Your smile, your hair, your style… even how you hated bugs, but you still tolerated me telling you all about them… I… I'm in love with you, Tsukasa Tenma."
The final confession caused his voice to tremble as he felt the tears in the corners of his eyes.
The silence was deafening in the moments that it took Tsukasa to take in all of what Rui had just said.
It took so long that Rui looked back at him with a concerned, "Tsukasa-ku-... mph-!"
But he was cut off when Tsukasa rushed up to him and pulled him down into a kiss.
Was this really happening? Tsukasa Tenma, the brightest and most accepting person he knew, was kissing Rui Kamishiro?
It felt like an eternity, and when Tsukasa finally pulled back, Rui had to catch his breath again. There were tears streaming down Tsukasa's face.
"Sorry, Rui, I-... I never knew you felt the same way…! I fell in love at some point and I didn't know when and… and I didn't say anything because I thought it might weird you out and I didn't want to lose my precious director because of uncontrollable emotions and-... and-"
Rui giggled and pulled him back into a hug to stop him from his rant, and of course, Tsukasa reciprocated.
-
They didn't realize how long they'd been standing there hugging until Tsukasa finally pulled back again and asked, "... so… what was it that I did…?"
Rui hesitated for a moment before responding, "... it was just… your remark about me not being serious… it… it really shouldn't have bothered me as much as it did so…" he fades off, looking away from Tsukasa again.
The blond looked like he finally understood.
"Ah! I never got to apologize to you for that! I felt really bad after saying it, but I never got the chance be-... but it's still my bad. I'm sorry, Rui."
Rui chuckled, "It's alright, Tsukasa-kun~ after all, it's how I figured out my feelings for you, my precious star~"
Tsukasa blushes… and they kiss again.

Ship - Featherary Day 4
Fandom: Project Sekai
Lees: Nene Kusanagi, Tsukasa Tenma
Lers: Tsukasa Tenma, Nene Kusanagi
Romantic NeneKasa
Warnings: Tickles
Summary: After his girlfriend's cruel and unusual methods of torture (read: ignoring him), Tsukasa has no choice but to win back her attention. There's no way this could possibly backfire.
----
"Neneeeee," Tsukasa called, barging into Nene's room. The aforementioned girl sat at her PC, headphones over both ears and some shooter game Tsukasa didn't recognize flashing away on the monitor in front of her. "I'm booooooooored-"
Nene gave no indication that she had even heard him as she continued to vigorously click away at her game. Maybe she just had her volume up too high to notice? Tsukasa, however, used to this behavior, had a sneaking suspicion that that wasn't right. She was probably just plain ignoring him. Maybe he needed a different tone.
"My looove? Sunshine?" He walked up right next to the desk and struck his most dramatic and romantic pose right next to her, raising his already blaring voice to twice its normal level. She was sure to see him now. He was a world future star after all! He could easily shine brighter than some measly screens. "Dearest? Light of my life?"
Still, he received not even a nod or hum of acknowledgement. She remained as still as ever, still blatantly disregarding her boyfriend.
Tsukasa pouted at his girlfriend's cruel betrayal. How could she not want to pay attention to him? He had wanted nothing more than to hug and spoil her with affection (and maybe receive some himself if he was being honest) after a long day of not giving her his love and this is what he gets instead. That wouldn't do at all, it was downright criminal. He had to win back her heart one way or another.
If she wouldn't give him her notice, he would just have to take it himself.
He was left with no choice but to pull back her chair, ignore her frustrated grumbles of protest, and seat himself right on her lap, leaning forward to plant a kiss right onto her cheek. That would show her where her attention should lie right now.
To his dismay, she only huffed, moved her chair forward, and continued to play her game. Still no acknowledgement for the boy.
That was the final straw. It was time for extreme measures. He began to place gentle kisses all over Nene’s ticklish neck, causing the girl to immediately burst into squeaking giggles.
“Hehe! Quit it!” Nene muffled her happy giggles with her hand, not wanting to give her boyfriend the satisfaction of her reaction. She, at long last, paused her game in a weak effort to free her hands and push Tsukasa's head away with the one hand she had free.
Tsukasa paid no mind to her words, if she could ignore him, he could ignore her just as easily! Besides, he knew she didn’t really mean it. If she actually wanted him to stop she’d put up a much harder fight.
Nene was trapped in her chair, Tsukasa's weight keeping her down. She had nowhere to hide as he moved from kisses to a combination of kisses and quick raspberries, causing her giggles to become more high pitched with every cruel touch of her boyfriend’s lips.
“Tsukahahahsa!”
Tsukasa paused his attack, pulling his head back to look his girlfriend in her deep violet eyes, gently cupping her flushed face in his hands. “Oh Nene, my love, it's been far too long since I last heard your dulcet tone. Oh how I've longed for your company. My name upon your lips is a sound so beautiful tha- HEHEHE!”
Nene used his distraction against him, interrupting his monologue to sneak her own hands to the back of his ribs, scribbling away at the sensitive bones. “You talk too much.” She pretended to be annoyed at his antics but they both knew, in reality, she adored the kind words.
Not as much, however, as she adored his laughter and the sweet taste of revenge. “AHAHA! WAHAIT! THIHIS WASN’T HOW THIHIS WAS SUPPOSED TO GOHO!” Tsukasa protested. He squirmed in her arms but she held him tight, holding him in place.
“Don't act like you don't love it.” Nene said monotone as ever. “Consider this your punishment for distracting me. Though it's probably not all that much of a punishment, huh?”
Tsukasa went red. It was at that point he realized there was only one way out of this. Nene was a merciless tickler who knew all of his worst spots. If he let her go on any longer, he didn't even want to imagine the state he'd be in by the end. It was a desperate move but he was helpless to do anything else. He mustered up all the breath he could through his fit of laughter and blew the biggest raspberry right where Nene's neck met her shoulder. At the same time, his hands slipped under her arms and began to scribble quickly, but still gently, knowing that's what got to her the most.
As was made glaringly obvious immediately after though, his brilliant plan was not as brilliant as he had originally thought. While the sudden tickles did make Nene burst, again, into laughter, they did not weaken her enough for her to stop tickling him. She faltered for only a moment before falling into a vengeful fervor, her assault on his ribs multiplying tenfold. “Yohou thihink yohou’re sooo smahrt, huh?” With the dexterity she’d spent her whole life developing through video games, she prodded, wiggled, and dug her fingers deep into the bones as she spoke through her laughter. “Pft- haha! Wehehll fohor someone so smarhart, yohou sehem to be a little dehensless right now!”
“THEHE GREHEAT TSUKAHASA TEHENMA IHIS NEHEVER DEFENSELESS!” He protested, trying his best to keep up his own attack. She moved her hands to the very top of his ribs, where they met his underarms and massaged her wiggling fingers firmly into the area, sending Tsukasa into utter hysterics. His arms stopped working beyond the ability to wrap around Nene and hold her tightly for support and his mouth halted its raspberries to bury his burning face in her neck . “NAHAHHAHA WAHAIT! NAHAT THERE! PLHEHEASE! IHIM SAHAHRY-”
“That depends. Are you going to apologize for interrupting my game?” Nene said with a smirk.
“YEAHAHAHAH! YEHEHES! I WIHILL! I’M SAHARHEY-!”
The tickling steadily came to a close as Nene held the weak and giggly actor in her lap. She kissed his cheek with a satisfied glint in her eyes and teased fondly. “The great Tsukasa Tenma, defenseless only to tickles.”
“Hehehe- Not true.” Tsukasa giggled, panting to catch his breath. “Dehehefenseless only to hihis lovelehey girlfriend-”
“Oh shut up.” Nene’s harsh words were a stark contrast to the blush reappearing on her cheeks and the shy smile on her face.
“Onlehey whehen it stohops making you bluhush like that.~” He poked her pink cheek, emphasizing his point.
“You’re one to talk about blushing. Your face almost matches the tips of your hair.” She ran a comforting hand through the mostly blond mop leaning on her shoulder. “Did you get the attention you wanted?”
“Hehe, could use aha lihittle more-” He gave a goading squeeze to her side, just to see her reaction.
Nene squeaked and jumped a little in her seat, before saying with an abrupt tone, “I promise you do not want to start that again.”
“Yeah, you're rihight. Maybehe later though.” He pulled her somehow closer and began to settle into a comfortable position. “Rihight now, all I want is this.”
That sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Nene spoke up softly. “Hey, Tsukasa?”
“Yhes, Nene?”
“...I’m glad you interrupted my game”
“Awww, you love me~”
“Yeah… I do”

As the evening orange and pinkish hue of the sun going down struck down, a young male had watched it set gloomily. Events of his past flashed before him, making his eye's water as he wondered what he ever did wrong to deserve such cruel treatment? Let alone how badly treated his friend, Mizuki, was from her own school mates.
His mind kept flashing these memories, before being snapped back into reality as a worried Emu shook his shoulder worringly, "-ui, Rui, are you okay? Can you hear us?!" She worringly yelled, being settled as Tsukasa told her about his sudden realization. "Thank gosh, we were so worries, in fact, I was more worried!" She puffed her cheeks out childishly, "Y-You!? I was more worried then you were!" Tsukasa muttered, earning a gasp from the pink haired girl, before she could yell more, Nene had held her hand into her's, "Please, let's not forget the reason we are here." She reminded, Rui chuckling as he earned an apology from the two.
"What'd you need?" Rui asked curiously, smiling a bit as Emu gave him her usual 'special hugs'. "Rui.. you were crying." Tsukasa reprimanded, rubbing his back soothingly, "We came in a hurry because you seemed so panicked, you don't have to tell us, but, let us help you in any way possible."
The three gave him the most sweetest and genuine smiles, I mean, how could he not let them help? Their so sweet and willing, so, he trusted them. "Well, I have a request if you're.. willing to... at least." He said, averting his eye's as he said so, earning the curious gazes of three little munchkins. "Go ahead, we don't judge!" Emu said enthusiastically, eye's sparkling in joy as she enjoyed making those she loved happy. "I know, it's just that, it's really really silly." He laughed a bit, rubbing the back of his head shyly.
This had got Tsukasa to realize, "Oh? You want the kitchi-kitchi-cure?" He couldn't help but tease him, the two other's smiling as Rui blushed and turned his head away, earning the three's loud and coordinated awes, when he went to turn away, Nene had gently placed his back against her chest, holding his arm's, Tsukasa and Emu giving him the wildest of grins, finger's inching closer towards his already quivering torso. "Oh my, already anticipating this, hm?~" Emu couldn't help bit chuckle after the long whine she heard from him afterwards, "Alright, alright, we won't tease you any further."
That was obviously a lie, they didn't stop, if anything, it continued.
Finger's descended, a pair of thumbs rubbing at each pair of ribs and the other tracing random numbers and shapes onto his side's, these two places were mainly his giggle spots, and to know he trusted them with much more. "Who's the most ticklish on this land?~" Tsukasa cooed, "Yohohou, twahat!" Was how the purple haired male replied, giggling harder as he heard the 'offended' gasp leave the ginger, "How dare you! As a matter of fact, I'm not the one who's crazy ticklish riiight~"
And as the suspense settled in, Rui gaffawed, scrunching his shoulder's up defensively and letting out a surprised snort as offending finger's skittered under his chin, as if he was petting a cat, "Here~!" He grinned, using his free hand to scribble around his neck, "GYAHAH! YOHOU BUHULL-EHEK!?" He snorted once again, throwing his head back as he moved to tickle behind his neck and back under his chin each time they went back to being exposed.
"Ooo, what about.. here?~" Emu holding his leg out and squeezing his knee, earning the most sweetest squeal to release from him, "Aww! Does Rui love his kitchi-kitchi-cures?~" Nene decided to tease, scribbling at his highest set of ribs, wanting a piece of the action. "I-IHI- YOHOU KNOHOW I DOHOHO!" He whiner, sinking into the warming embrace of gentle yet such mean tickles. "I mean, of you can't handle i-" "IHIHI CAHAN, PLEHEASE!" Rui called, Tsukasa and the other's laughing in aww, Tsukasa ruffling his hair in praise, earning a wider smile in his laughs. "CUHUHUT!" He called, the three immediately stopping, "I'll get you some water!" Emu said happily, zooming away like the little road runner she was. Tsukasa and Nene on the other hand stayed and helped calm him down, hugging him and giving him back pats.
"Did we go too far?" Nene asked worringly, Rui shaking his head, "No, you stopped when I asked, also, uhm." He then muttered, Tsukasa narrowing a bro, "Repeat please?" He asked, "Agh, could we also do that.. more often?" He looked at him hopefully, Tsukasa and Nene aweing, before Rui flushed as Miku smiled, "That was so cute, don't worry, just sending it to Kaito!" She said with a smile, lacing a grin behind it.
"Miku, start running!" Tsukasa said, Rui getting up to chase after her. Another day filled with success!

Fic Under The Cut!
┗━•❃°•°❀°•°❃•━┛
It was Valentine's Day, a day of love, appreciation, and happiness. Everyone at Kamiyama High School in Class 2-A was tasked with writing a letter to who they loved and appreciated the most, and what they loved or liked about them.
As they were promptly shared with the class, everybody was waiting patiently for their name to be said by the other students. This also included Nene, who had been waiting the entire class to hear her name. Despite her kindness towards the other students, her name was not called by anybody.
Nene listened to the pleasantly embarrassed laughs and appreciative coos from the recipients. They hid their faces in their hands, smiled wobbly smiles, and put their hands on their hearts with tearful faces.
Nene awaited her turn for the burst of surprise, giddiness, gratitude at hearing her name from someone else’s mouth. It never came.
Maybe she shouldn’t have expected anything. She was kind, sure, but she was no one’s best friend. She shouldn’t mind. She understood. Maybe she didn’t want that extra attention anyway.
Still, in her lonely desk in the corner, Nene felt her heart sag.
After the bell rang to mark the end of class, Nene was nowhere to be seen. She had run out of school at the end of the day, not caring who saw her as she waited until the right moment alone to enter the Wonderland SEKAI.
Miku and KAITO, who had been working together on a show idea for Tsukasa and the others, noticed Nene enter. Something, however, was off about the grayish-green haired girl. The two vocaloids realized that Nene wasn't feeling her best, but before they could ask about it, she'd run off to hide.
Nene didn’t know how long she’d spent curled up backstage of the theatre, before she heard a bright and bubbly but concerned voice through the curtain.
“Nene-chan? Nene-chan, please come out!”
Slowly, she peeled her head from the wall.
“NENE! WHERE ARE YOU HIDING!”
Ah, and that earth-quaking volume…
“Perhaps she’s behind the stage?”
And the most familiar voice of all.
Wiping her eyes with her sleeve, Nene called pitifully, “I’m here…”
Her sore eyes beheld a ball of pink bouncing into the lightless hollow. She gasped and was at Nene’s side in a flash.
“Nene! What’s wrong? My sadness senses were tingling, and then Miku went ‘Brrrrrrrllllll— brrrrrrrlllll—’ which meant someone was lost in Sekai!!” Emu threw herself around Nene, who could only hiccup in protest.
Nene felt so bad about burdening the others with her bad mood, but nothing could really come out. Finally, in tears, she'd speak in a quavering tone, her voice breaking and cracking. "S-Sorry....I-I'm sorry...I-I didn't mean to w-worry anybody...I-I just..."
"Nene-chan..." Emu held her tightly, rubbing her weeping partner's back gently as she let Nene express her current emotions to the three of them. Nene would sniffle, squeezing her eyes shut when she felt Rui gently stroke her hair with his fingers.
“Nene,” Rui called lowly, voice soothing and gentle as milk. At that one word, a dam broke within Nene’s chest.
Sobbing, Nene buried her face in Emu’s pink sweater. “It’s really not that big of a deal. I-I think… I’m just being dramatic.”
“Nonsense!” Tsukasa, who had been quietly panicking as soon as he saw her crying, nestled into her other side. His star-like warmth was like a plush, constellation-patterned blanket. “You’re never dramatic! Even I would be upset if no one thought of writing for me.”
“You can be honest with us, Nene.” Rui pulled his fingers through her hair again, a massaging tug on her scalp. Emu rubbed her cheek against her head.
Nene let Tsukasa pull her legs into his lap. “Maybe there’s just nothing to say about me… Nothing to-” Nene swallowed. She didn’t want to voice her thoughts, but she’d promised to be honest. “Nothing to love…”
Nene buried her face into Emu's shoulder once more out of shame, scared of what her partners would think. To her surprise, however, they showed her nothing but absolute kindness, Emu leaning her head slightly to kiss Nene's cheeks, Tsukasa rubbing her back, and Rui knelt down to hold her hand and massage her shoulders.
"Nene, you don't have to deal with this alone, y'know that, right?" Rui would ask softly, his fingertips gently tapping and drumming on her shoulders. "Yeah, Nene-chan! You know that whoever said that there wasn't anything to love or write about you is wrong, right? They're just jealous of you!" Emu pouted softly as she planted many tiny kisses all over Nene's forehead, nose, and cheeks.
Nene would reluctantly nod to their questions, still feeling down in the dumps about today. She didn't know what to do in order to feel better, so she'd just listen to her partners soothe her hurting pains, and comfort her.
Rui hummed, sensing that Nene still didn’t quite believe them. “There’s plenty of things to love about you, that we love about you.” Rui leaned over to nuzzle into her cheek.
His feather-like breaths and kisses pushed Nene to squirm away and giggle. As she shoved at Rui’s head, he chuckled.
“For example, your cute little laugh.” Rui grinned like a cat. “And your peculiarly ticklish cheeks.”
“Ruhuhuhihi!” Nene whined, finding refuge in Emu’s shoulder. “Stahahap, you meheheanie!”
“I didn’t know your cheeks were ticklish!” Emu’s eyes sparkled in a truly terrifying way. “I’m gonna getcha~! Let’s see that smile we love-love-love so much!”
Emu peppered noisy smooches all over Nene’s skin, even blowing a small raspberry on her blushing cheeks. Nene squealed and ducked away. “AhaEHEmuhuhu!”
“Oho? You didn’t know, Emu?” Rui raised an amused brow. “It’s her deepest, darkest secret. Oops!”
“RuihiHIHIhiiii! You traHAhaitor!” Nene managed to land a considerable slap on Rui’s face, and he gasped in offense.
Rui sniffled performatively. “Nene! My dearest friend, how could you?”
“Ah! I see my inventive partners have come up with an answer to our sad Nene plight.” announced Tsukasa, who noticed the drying tears on Nene’s well-kissed cheeks. “Look at that radiant smile! A wonderful muse!”
"Nohohohoo i-it's nohohohohohot!" Nene giggled nervously, covering her face in embarrassment as she tried to move away from her partners. This caused Emu to persist and continue her tickly antics, her fingers gently stroking Nene's cheek in a tingly way.
"Awwweeee~ Nene-chan is so cuteee, it's so wonderhoy~!" Emu exclaimed happily, continuing to stroke Nene's cheeks. The grayish-green haired girl would finally manage to turn away completely, hiding her face with her hands.
“Well, we can’t allow that!” Tsukasa took advantage of Nene’s legs in his lap and skittered his nails over her knees. Nene shrieked and jumped but couldn’t escape his hold. Cheering, Emu bound Nene in a hug and squeezed her like a balloon.
“EHEHEMUhuhu! I caHAHA- TsuKAHASA!”
“You’re so fluffy-fluffy toasty-toasty, Neneeee, I just wanna squeesh you forever!” With exuberance, Emu kneaded Nene’s sides, watching her squirm back and forth and try to kick her legs.
“LEHEhehet mehehe goho! You dAHAdohorks!”
Rui muffled a snicker and teased at the back of Nene’s neck; now she was twisting every which way like a faulty folding chair.
Rui simpered. “Go for her iliac crest!”
“Her what?”
"What's an eye-lii-ack crest?" Mused Emu, who was very curious to know what Rui was talking about. Nene knew exactly where this was going as she flailed her arms about in protest. She'd have no choice but to squeak and hiccup as she spoke through giggle-induced words.
"Nohoho-No! R-Ruhuhuhuhuii! D-Don't tehehell thehehehemmm!"
Tsukasa and Emu couldn't help but wonder what was about to happen, both of them listening intently to Rui. They'd wait for an explanation, curious what has Nene giggling so nervously.
Rui shrugged and decided that showing was better than telling. Slowly, his hands descended, curling into claws, as Nene hugged her knees as close as she could to her chest in defense.
“Dohon’t- Rui! D-Don’t! NohoHOHAHA!”
Rui’s thumbs massaged the top of Nene’s hip. She exploded from her ball and grabbed onto the nearest thing — Tsukasa — to stabilize herself against the ticklish shocks traversing her nerves.
“You remembered what it was, Nene! Such a clever pupil. Isn’t she amazing?” Rui sounded tearfully proud. Desperately, Nene shook her head.
“YOUHUHAHAHA nahaHEHERD! RuhuhuHIHIHI!”
With Rui gently but cruelly digging into one of her worst spots, Tsukasa boldly drawing on and under her knees, and Emu pinching sporadically around her middle, Nene’s face began to ache from how wide she was laughing. Her stomach pretzeled, warm from the giddiness of love and fluster.
"Guysss! We should go over more things we love about Nene-chan! I'll start! I love how red your cheeks and nose get! I love how you hide your cute little smile~! Who's next!
"I also love how softspoken you are when you tease, it's so unexpected to me, but I love those moments nonetheless." Tsukasa would chirp in, gently squeezing her calves every now and then. "And as for me, I love it when you giggle so hard that your nose scrunches up and you end up snorting, and I especially love how cute and tiny your dimples are. Such an adorable sight, is it not~?"
"NohoHOHOHOAhahaha! N-NOHOHOHOhohohot adohohoHOHOHOHORAblehehehehe! IHIHIHIhihit tihihiHIHIHI- NAHAhahahahahahaha!" Nene couldn't finish her words out of embarrassment. She hated saying that she was ticklish. But, unfortunately for her, Rui caught onto this, and teased lovingly out loud to catch Nene off guard.
"Oh? It what, Nene? What are you trying to say? What t-word are you referring to?"
Nene completely combusted, trying to prevent this from happening. "NOHOHOHohohoho! D-DohohohoHOHOHON'T YOHOHOHOUHUhuhuhu dahahaHEHEHEHEARE STAHAhahahart thihihihis!"
"Are you saying touchy~? Or teasy~? Or even tastyyyy~?" Rui grinned widely, knowing exactly what his ass was doing. He was trying to trick Nene, and it was clear that Emu and Tsukasa were both in on this.
"DUHUHUhuhumbahahAHAHAHASS! IHIHIHIhihit tihihiHIHIHIHICKLES!"
Nene immediately tried to cover her mouth, realizing what she had gotten herself into. "W-WahahahaHAHAIHIHIHIT NOHOHOhohoho! DohohoHOHOAHAHAHAN'T!"
“Ticklish, you say~?” Rui’s grin was chilling. “Is that so? Well well well… isn’t that just prrrrecious?”
Suddenly, all the tickling stopped. Nene could only feel the phantom tingles of what had just passed and the force of her lungs heaving in air. But she couldn’t trust it. She knew what was about to happen.
Sweet breath fluttered over her ear. “Aww, you should have told us, Nene~,” Emu whispered. Nene muffled a squeak. Rarely was Emu a menacing presence, but this time, Nene’s heart only pounded in dread.
A finger brushed a slick strand of hair behind her other ear. Nene shivered. “She seems nervous. Isn’t the suspense just killing you?” She never thought she’d fear Tsukasa’s quiet voice.
Someone else was pulling her in. Something warm teased at her neck.
“Doho- don’t. Guys! Plehease! Nonono—“
Shrilling in ticklish laughter, Nene wriggled about to try and get away as Rui planted tickly kisses all over her neck. Giggling along, Emu would scribble her nimble fingers under Nene's armpits as the light tickles got to the poor girl.
All Nene could get out was an "EhehehEHEHEEK! NOHOHOHohohoho!" as she squirmed and flailed about. She was so ticklish, but would never admit to it.
Nene squealed, thrashed, blushed, cried for mercy, and slapped aggressively at Rui’s shoulder and elbowed Emu as best she could.
“WaHAhaHAHAIT NAhaHAT ThEEEEREheHAHA! NoooohOOOOO!”
The sounds of Rui’s lips trembled up to her ear in waves and she crushed Emu’s fingers beneath her upper arm. Tears washed over her eyes and her laughter became so screechy that even Tsukasa was concerned.
He rested his chin and a kiss on Emu’s shoulder and pinched Rui’s cheek. Both of them received the memo and slowed their attack. Rui smoothed the sides of Nene’s shirt. Emu fixed her hair and moved aside to let Nene fall into Tsukasa’s lap. Nene hiccuped on a breath and covered her face, giggles interspersed.
“I’m sorry… to get so sappy on you guys,” Nene slurred.
Smiling, Rui purred, “Nene, we love you when you’re happy. We love you when you’re sad too.” He coaxed her hands away to reveal her pink nose and pursed lips.
Tsukasa cupped her face with a grin that was difficult to take seriously, but cute. “Yes! Your crying face is charming!”
“But when you smile, you’re even more charming! Cuz we know you’re happy.” Emu’s chipper face popped in from the side of her vision.
“Forget it. You guys are sappier than the ending theme of a video game.” And together, they laughed.

A face hidden in her hands, a tearful face, a burst of surprise, giddiness, gratitude.

Day 1: Anticipation (NeneKasa)
Tumblr media
“Nohohoo-“ the blond burst in giggles as Nene began sliding her fingers across his sides. “Aww, what’s wrong Tsukasa? Can’t take a light touch? So much for the “brave” prince pegasus~” she snickered, deeply enjoying her boyfriend’s reactions.
The two of them were practicing for the upcoming play together, when suddenly Nene wanted him to test out a new function of robo-nene. Little did poor Tsukasa know, this was a plot. Now, he was stuck here, his arms held up by the robot’s metallic hands, leaving his sensitive sides exposed. But the worst part was that Nene wasn’t even tickling him, but simply gliding her arms around him. It was driving him insane.
“Cohohome ohohahan, we hahave to gehet bahack to prahactice- PFFT!!” Tsukasa almost jumped up at Nene suddenly squeezing his sides. She went right back to barely gliding her hands around them, her eyes adoringly looking at the giggly mess in front of her.
“Who would have thought? Our ever confident troupe leader turning out to have such an adorable weakness~?”
“Juhuhust tihihicke me ahalready!”
“What’s that? You want to be tickled, Tsukasa-kun? I supose your wish is my command then.”
“Thahats’s nohohot what i MEHEHEANT HAHAHA!” he broke down in laughter as Nene began mercilessly scribbling at his sides, occasionally switching to his tummy. The fabric on his soft yellow jacket made it tickle much more, despite his blouse semi “shielding” him.
“Oh i don’t think that’s quite enough…” Nene giggled as she stood up, going to the back of the robot.
“A-Are you gonna finally let me out…?”
“We’ll see. The answer’s no by the way. Now let’s see, where did Rui tell me it was…?”
Nene pressed a random button at the back of the robot, causing a bunch of gloved robotic arms to come out. They weren’t moving yet but Tsukasa could tell where this was going.
“You ready? Like actually?”
“Erm, yes! Ready as i’ll ever be!” a great surge of bravery went through Tsukasa.
“Just say red if it get’s too much, ‘kay?”
The arms all began wiggling on Tsukasa’s sensitive spots. One for each of his armpits, sides and tummy and two of them wiggling around his neck. “EHEHEHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!” the blond began wiggling around like a worm.
“REHEHHAHAHA REHEHED!!”
“Oof, that was fast~.” Nene smiled as the hands finally stoped tickling Tsukasa and his arms were released.
“Want me to bring you some water?”
“Yes…huff…please…”
But what Nene didin’t know was that as she was getting some water, Tsukasa was planning his revenge.

Pom Poms
(Tsukasa & Emu & Rui & Nene)
this was literally already posted here on a crack request with among us LOL but i made a separate post in case y’all missed it 😭
“guys!!! look!!!” emu shouted gleefully at her new discovery. nene and rui stopped what they were doing and walked up to her, both wondering what caught her attention. that’s when the two of them met her eyes, who stared at tsukasa in awe.
the blond, on the other hand, was flustered out of his mind. as if one wasn’t enough, now emu had brought the other two into this and now they were gonna know he was…
“HAH?!” he uncovered his eyes with his hands and emu brushed the pom poms against his side. it was a devilishly sensitive feeling and it drove him crazy every time she did that.
“he’s ticklish!!!” emu beams, only an expression of pure glee on her face and she did the exact same thing over and over again.
“stohohohop ihihit!!” tsukasa cried, as she dropped the pom pins suddenly to just tickle him. he groaned again when rui and nene had collectively decided to join.
it seemed that he was in for a lot of fun and for a lot of tickles.

Summary: Alternate Title: 4 times Rui tickled Tsukasa on accident + 1 time he did it on purpose.
After Rui tickles Tsukasa while Wonderlands x Showtime is prepping for a new show, Tsukasa can't seem to get him out of his head...
Warnings: Tickling.
Kamishiro Rui x Tenma Tsukasa from Project SEKAI (Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!)
Word Count: 4.3k
1
“Tsukasaaaa! This is so neat!” Emu bellowed. “I love how Prince Pegasus is all like, pchoo! Pow! Bop! at The Manticore!”
“You said this is a story you made up for your little sister?” Nene asked.
“Indeed!” Tsukasa proclaimed. Recently, Wonderlands x Showtime had toyed around with performing more completely original works at the Wonder Stage. Of course, their shows always had a personal touch (this was nearly impossible to avoid with Tsukasa’s flair for the dramatic, Rui’s inventive streak, and the sheer scope of Emu’s imagination. Tsukasa sometimes wondered how Nene did it). But they were always based on something. Cinderella but with robots. A theoretical continuation of Sleeping Beauty. King Midas with audience participation. Okay, that last one was a lie, if only because Rui couldn’t make a machine to magically transmute carbon to gold. But it was definitely on brand.
“Saki and I used to play dragons when we were little. But when she got sick, she wasn’t able to play the way she used to. She talked a lot about missing the adventures of Prince Pegasus, my character, so I wrote down new adventures to read to her when I visited her in the hospital!”
Tsukasa was, admittedly, a little apprehensive about performing this. The Chronicles of Prince Pegasus were fun, even enthralling, when it was just him and Saki. But what would his troupemates think? An audience? If he allowed himself to think much more about it, he might just back out.
“Obviously this is a rewritten version, adapted for the stage and adjusted to be even more harrowing!” The others were still reading. Tsukasa couldn’t stand the silence. “But! I would love to hear your thoughts!”
“It’s really interesting, Tsukasa,” Rui said. It was the first time he had spoken since they began reading the script. “I’d like to make a few tweaks to streamline the story and to give us some wiggle room for a bit more improvisation, but I really like the premise. A classic, yet exciting hero’s journey.”
The others nodded in agreement. Phew. This might go okay after all. No, of course it will! “Tweaks? To a star’s original fiction?! How could you, Rui?!” Tsukasa joked.
Rui gently elbowed Tsukasa in the ribs, to which he yelped and jumped almost a foot in the air. It didn’t quite startle him (after all, someone as brave as him wouldn’t crumble beneath such a light touch!), but it… tickled? “I know. I’m the worst,” Rui said. “Now, let’s discuss casting. I think…”
Huh… weird. Tsukasa hadn’t anticipated that such a light touch would make him react in such a way. And why was his face a bit warmer?
Surely it’s just the summer heat.
2
Tsukasa cursed the fact that he was 5’7. Not because he didn’t feel masculine enough or because it somehow took away from his dramatic breadth; rather that Rui put everything too damn high up for him to reach. He was thankful, really. When the troupe actually began production on this show a few weeks ago, Tsukasa found it so surreal. He’d starred in plays, sure, but he’d never written one that got performed! This was the opportunity of a lifetime! Still, how on Earth was he supposed to get into character if he didn’t have Prince Pegasus’ sword?! His cape?! After all, the sword was arguably the focal point of the showdown scene they’d be rehearsing today. Getting up to the blasted things might as well have been a show in and of itself. Tenma Tsukasa, desperately balancing on that treacherous swivel chair—in vain. Tenma Tsukasa, clawing his way up the mountain that was the shelves backstage—only to lose his grip. Tenma Tsukasa Found Dead in Phoenix Wonderland was hardly an appealing show title. This was clearly a losing battle.
“Hey, Rui? Can you give me a hand?”
There he came, his knight in shining sweatpants. “At your service.”
“Thank goodness! I can’t seem to reach the props we need for the next scene. Can you reach?”
Rui stared up at the top shelf where Prince Pegasus’ trusty sword and cape lay. He cocked his head to the left, then to the right. Incredulous. Tsukasa knew Rui was strategic to a fault, but this was excessive. “Hm. Now how did those get all the way up there?”
“You tell me! You’re the prop master!” How strange, he thought! Perhaps this was an exercise in dramatic irony?
Rui began to chew his knuckle. “I am, aren’t I?” Okay, maybe not. That nervous tick was something Rui only did when he was actually nervous—or confused. Think, Tsukasa. Think! There must be something to be done about this predicament! Rui was doing… something. Surveying the scene, perhaps? What more was there to survey? Ground, climb, props. Beginning, middle, end. “To be honest, I don’t know how I got those up there in the first place. I can’t even reach that high. Maybe someone else moved them?”
“Who? Robo-Nene?”
“Maybe.”
“Ugh. You’re impossible,” Tsukasa groaned (with a surprising undertone of affection, he realized). “Wait, what about the ladder? Where is it?”
Rui shook his head. “Emu gave it to one of the contractors for the new splash pad they’re working on in the kids’ area.”
“Great, so what do we do now?”
Rui went back to chewing on his knuckles. Interesting technique… Tsukasa wondered if it might help him think of something.
…mm, nope. No dice. His mouth kind of just tasted like salt now.
“Oh, how about I lift you up?” Rui suggested. “The top shelf is about eight feet off the ground. I should be able to get you up high enough to reach.”
Tsukasa internally kicked himself for not thinking of that sooner. But of course, as the brave troupe leader he was, he had to inspire confidence in his dear director. “Aha! Brilliant plan, Rui! Yes, let’s conquer this conundrum once and for all!”
Rui chuckled. “That’s our star.” Those words made Tsukasa’s stomach flutter in a way that almost… pleasant? He decided he’d unpack that later. Rui carefully positioned himself behind Tsukasa, hovering his hands just over Tsukasa’s waist. “Okay, ready?”
“Ready!”
1, 2, and 3. Tsukasa was in the air… and suddenly fighting for his composure. Much to his chagrin, unlike the harnesses he’d used to fly in past shows, the sensation of Rui’s hands on his waist was incredibly ticklish. The fact that his fingers just wouldn’t stay still certainly didn’t help. What on Earth was this pattern? It all happened at once—his stomach fluttered. His core muscles tensed. His lips pursed in an absolutely desperate attempt to suppress a yelp. If he moved, he might give himself away. Curse my body for this betrayal!
“Tsukasa? Are you—”
“I’mfinehahathanks!!” Definitely not convincing. Still, there was time to save this. Tsukasa clambered for the props, and once they were safe in his hands, he landed safely on the ground, heart still pounding in his chest and blood rushing to his face. Turning completely away from Rui would be suspicious, but he had to cut his losses somehow.
“Th-Thanks for your help,” Tsukasa said, fastening the royal blue cape around his neck. Ah! Wait! He could pass it off with his costume! Tsukasa did a dramatic half-turn, the cape unceremoniously tangling behind him. Turns out the stale air of the shop was not exactly conducive to flowy capes.
“Of course,” Rui replied. Tsukasa imagined Rui grinning from ear-to-ear. Normally it came across as smug, but… part of him wanted to turn around, just to see if it looked different.
A beat. Neither moved and neither spoke.
“All right, want to start rehearsing the scene in fifteen?” Rui asked.
“Yeah, sounds good.”
Rui made his way back onto the Wonder Stage. Something told Tsukasa that this would stay etched into his brain for the foreseeable future.
3
Rui.
Rui, Rui, Rui.
“Our star.”
There was a pit in Tsukasa’s stomach. It had been days since the prop incident, as he called it. He’d been thinking about Rui for much longer than he usually did. His sly, grinning face; his voice; his praise; his stupid jokes—and his hands on his waist. Tsukasa longed for Rui’s touch, and he longed for that touch in particular.
He didn’t get it.
Tsukasa had never had a real crush before. Wait—was it even a crush? Can one develop crushes that quickly? He was at least a little prepared for the butterflies and the racing thoughts. But tickling? Did people fantasize about their crushes tickling them? Was this normal? Then again, maybe it wasn’t actually about the tickling, right? No, surely he just wanted Rui’s attention. That made enough sense. But then again again, why was he so fixated on that moment in particular? Not all the other times Rui had touched him? Why was he so fixated on Rui’s fingers dancing across his skin? Of nails gliding across his stomach and hands lovingly squeezing his sides? Of gentle kisses to his cheeks? Of laughing without a care in the world as Rui showered him with compliment after compliment?
No one could ever know about this. Not the troupe, not Saki, not Toya, and especially not Rui. But Tsukasa was an actor. Surely he could put on a brave face.
Or not. Dress rehearsals were actually kind of a disaster. Sure, Prince Pegasus was victorious even without his sword, he rescued his sister, yadda yadda yadda. Tsukasa could go through the motions. But he kept finding his eyes drifting to Rui. And for the most part, Rui hadn’t noticed (thank God), until the final scene.
“Pegasus! Remember, you’re talking to your sister, not the audience!”
Damn it.
“Right! Sorry!”
So the scene dragged on. They ran through it twice. Then three times. Tsukasa’s mind was foggy with heat, frustration, and Rui. Rui’s attention. Rui watching him. Rui judging him. Rui’s disappointment in his lackluster performance. Rui’s disgust when he inevitably learned what Tsukasa had been thinking lately. The urge to cry pricked the corner of his eye.
“...and scene!” shouted Rui. “That was perfect.”
Reprieve. Tsukasa wasn’t absolutely convinced, but it would do for now.
Rui’s show notes went in one ear and out the other. There was no way for them not to. While Nene and Emu listened intently, Tsukasa just pondered whatever… that was. This was bad. Very, very bad. Tsukasa had struggled with roles before, but never for this reason. Never because he was so utterly enamored by a guy that he couldn’t focus. What did this mean for him? If he couldn’t surmount a little crush to play a simple fucking role, how could he possibly convey the hero’s journey? Tomorrow Prince Pegasus would appear just as pathetic as Tsukasa was. He needed to will this away, or at least shove it down long enough to—
“Tsukasa.”
Oh no.
“R-Rui! My friend! What can your star do for you?” Jesus, did he really just say that?
Rui frowned. Tsukasa drew in a sharp breath. He saw this coming from miles away, but his stomach churned all the same. “You seemed distracted today. That isn’t like you. I was worried, and… I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
Exhale.
…that’s it? That’s all he had to say? In just ten seconds, Tsukasa had gone through all five stages of grief and prepared a (quite beautiful, he thought) monologue explaining his “poor” performance. But Rui, ever the wildcard, threw that plan out the window. Of course, any actor can handle a little improv! Right…?
“Oh, yes! I was just…” Think, Tsukasa. Think. “…uh, the heat! Yes, that’s it. I was simply dizzy with the summer heat!” If Rui’s expression was anything to go off of, that wasn’t very convincing at all. So much for improv.
Rui’s contorted face quickly softened to a concerned one. Absolutely none of this was going to plan. “Tsukasa, are you nervous?”
Of course I am, Rui. How can I be calm when your stupid, pretty face is right in front of me? How can I be calm when all I can think about is you ti—
No. But Rui saw right through him. Lying was absolutely not an option. He could, however, conjure a different motivation—it just had to be in character. “Maybe a little. It’s just… are you sure we’re ready to perform tomorrow? I know all of our characters came easily to us, especially mine, of course, but this might be our quickest turnaround yet!” …yeah! Something like that.
Rui seemed to contemplate this answer for a moment (or, at least, that was Tsukasa’s best guess. Rui’s facial expressions were not known for their readability.) He smiled, laying a hand on Tsukasa’s shoulder. “You know I would never put on a show that I didn’t think we could perform. As your director, I have the utmost confidence in you and the others.” Then, he lay his other hand on Tsukasa’s free shoulder, just as tenderly as the first. “And I know our star won’t let us down.”
This wasn’t out of the ordinary. Rui was usually sincere, but felt recontextualized. Tsukasa knew something about Rui, or maybe himself, that he didn’t before. Impulses took over, and before he knew it, Tsukasa found his face buried into the nape of Rui’s neck and his arms wrapped tightly around his body. This was so incredibly selfish. But then Rui’s arms found their way to Tsukasa’s back. It wasn’t as if the two had never hugged before, but it might as well have been. Rui had taken on a different role in Tsukasa’s mind: of an eccentric and colorful casanova.
His soliloquy was suddenly interrupted by the sensation of Rui’s fingertips stroking the length of his back. This was getting ridiculous—could he catch a break today?! Each new spot Rui touched set Tsukasa’s nerves ablaze. Rui’s nimble fingers traveled all the way down to the small of Tsukasa’s back, then slowly back up again, tracing his spine to the valley between his shoulder blades. The higher Rui went, the harder it was for Tsukasa to stifle the giggles bubbling up from his diaphragm. He prayed to God, the universe, anyone who might hear him, that this moment would last a little while longer. But, with one final squeeze, Rui let go.
Tsukasa now prayed that golden hour would obscure the blush on his face. “Um—thanks for… that, Rui.”
Rui smiled (if he even stopped smiling in the first place?). “Of course. I’ll see you tomorrow.” And, in true cheesy-romance-movie fashion, Tsukasa stared as Rui disappeared beyond the sunlight-bathed horizon.
This wasn’t going away, was it?
4
Tsukasa loved the way the Wonder Stage transformed Rui him and his friends. He’d learned this term once, social facilitation, and that described it perfectly: the crowd was the extra push the troupe needed to be the best they could be. Somehow, all the fears he’d had from the previous day had washed away. Emu’s acting demonstrated a surprising level of depth. Nene found confidence on the stage she didn’t have elsewhere.
And Rui? The Wonder Stage brought him out in his purest form.
Rui had long since moved past his days of typecasting, especially with how well-received Thorpe was—but no one would dare say he was a bad typecaster. When Rui assigned himself a role, he played it well. Case in point, today’s villain, The Manticore.
Suspense hung in the air as the audience watched Prince Pegasus approach The Manticore. “You,” Prince Pegasus snarled (so far, so good). He sauntered over to his nemesis, hand on his sword’s hilt. “You have a lot of nerve, kidnapping my sister and thinking I wouldn’t track you down.” This wasn’t going badly after all! Rui had no idea how right he was yesterday—that even if Tsukasa was plagued by this… preoccupation… he was still more than capable. It was all such a rush.
Rui chuckled. Or was it The Manticore? Really, they may have been one and the same. Like Rui, The Manticore was charming, cunning, eccentric, and a little bit too handsome for comfort. But no matter! Like any good story, the Prince would surely emerge victorious; he would defeat his nemesis with courage and wit alone.
And then it happened; something unscripted. Rui placed a finger beneath Tsukasa’s chin, tilting it upward. Tsukasa’s cheeks burned. And as if matters couldn’t get any worse, Rui’s finger then pivoted inward, mimicking a lion’s claw. It tickled. And it drove Tsukasa crazy. This, of all times?! Rui had to know. He was testing him. His resolve. His talent. Tsukasa’s composure teetered on that claw for entirely too long.
“My Prince,” The Manticore (Rui???) cooed. “The choice is yours. The sword, or your sister.”
Tsukasa swallowed hard. But an actor can handle a little improv. Prince Pegasus bowed, offering his sword. “As you wish.”
+1
“Woooow!!!” Emu cheered. “That was so awesome! That must’ve been our biggest crowd yet!”
Nene nodded. “I could really feel the tension between Prince Pegasus and The Manticore.
Tension was right. The amount of restraint it took not to kiss Rui then and there was kind of unbearable. But… Emu was right, too. It was an incredible show with an incredible turnout. So much so, in fact, that the four were already planning a rerun and new ways to make it even more incredible. (Emu and Rui’s idea of this was pyrotechnics. Tsukasa figured he could talk some sense into them another time). For now, they could ride the high of another successful show.
A few rides and a meal later, Emu and Nene began making their way home, leaving Tsukasa alone with Rui. This wasn’t unusual—the girls usually needed to get home a bit earlier—but something felt different. Not just Tsukasa’s little crush, that was hardly new. No, Rui seemed distant. Maybe a bit aloof. That pit in his stomach returned. After the stunt Rui pulled during the show, Tsukasa was convinced he had surely caught on to the thoughts plaguing his mind. And, seeing how Tsukasa just barely pushed through the scene, Rui had surely decided that Tsukasa was far too odd to be close to anymore.
…but that didn’t make sense. Rui was weird, sure. His directing methods were sometimes questionable and his inventions bordered on insane. But Rui wasn’t malicious. He was far too sincere to ever test Tsukasa like that. Plus! Rui hadn’t been distant this morning before the show!
And then it clicked. Tsukasa had made himself the villain in his own story! It wasn’t him, but his inner demons! Okay, that was probably a little heavy-handed for a tickle-crush on a boy. But his point stood! What a complex narrative!
Even with this realization, that pit remained. He wasn’t exactly certain, but there was only one way to find out. He had to know how the story would end, no matter how afraid he was. And so, putting on the bravest face he could muster, Tsukasa sauntered over to Rui.
“Hey, Rui.”
“Hmm?”
“What was… that? By the way?”
Rui chuckled. That damn chuckle. “Ah, did you like that little detail in the showdown scene? I thought a bit of improv would really add to—”
“—was it really just for the show?”
Rui’s face dropped. It was more satisfying that Tsukasa was willing to admit. “…what do you mean?”
“The way you tilted my chin,” Tsukasa said. “It was a brilliant choice! Very much in character! But… it felt like you.” If Tsukasa kept talking, he was certain his heart would burst out of his throat. “And… call me crazy, but I hope it wasn’t just for the show.”
The two stood, face-to-face, staring. Neither spoke. Neither moved. And for once, throughout this entire ordeal, Tsukasa saw Rui’s composure break. His hand covered his mouth, and his face turned a deep shade of crimson. Bashfulness looked good on him, Tsukasa thought. Rui’s piercing, yellow eyes met Tsukasa’s. It was familiar. It was the exact “cunning” way Rui had looked at him before.
Oh, wow.
“Tsukasa…” Rui mumbled. The corners of his lips quirked upward, and he laughed. Really laughed. An honest, breathless belly laugh that Tsukasa had never seen from him before. He was completely and utterly enamored by it. “I—I didn’t expect you to read me so candidly.” Rui stepped forward, taking Tsukasa’s trembling hands into his own. “You’re right. A small part of me hoped you’d notice.”
Tsukasa found himself laughing, too. “It took me longer than you know.”
This was comfortable. The both of them, equally shy and equally embarrassed. After all, if all the world was a stage, wasn’t there also a backstage? A green room? An honest moment between actors?
“Rui, can I kiss you?” Tsukasa spat the words out before he could even think about them. And, just as quickly, Rui leaned in, pressing his lips firmly against Tsukasa’s. It was awkward, and decidedly weirder than a stage kiss. But it was nice for the walls to come down. The masks were off. The audience was gone. There was only Tsukasa and Rui…
…and the familiar tickling sensation of Rui’s fingers along the contour of Tsukasa’s jaw. Tsukasa felt his lips part hopelessly into a big, goofy smile. “Wh–What are you doing?”
“Tickling you,” Rui answered. “You’re not the only perceptive one around here, my star.”
What was it called when the pit and the butterflies happened at the same time? Butterfly mosh pit?
“You noticed—AH!”
Rui’s fingers traveled down to Tsukasa’s neck, his nails dragging along either side. “Not at first, but I did notice that you never tried to stop me.” They darted wildly between the underside of his jaw and the crook of his collarbone, never staying in one place for too long. Even trying to trap Rui’s hand between his cheek and his shoulder didn’t work—his fingers could still wiggle away at his neck.
“YoHOU—! You jeheherk!!!” Tsukasa sputtered.
“Me? A jerk?” Rui feigned his best offended voice. “I thought you wanted me to do this!” Rui now had Tsukasa wrapped in his arms, trapping him between his wriggling fingers. This time, he pressed a little harder as he drilled his fingers ever-so-slightly into Tsukasa’s ribs. Tsukasa’s laugh shot up in pitch to an octave he didn’t know he could reach—and it grew even more frantic when Rui’s hands wandered to his sides instead. He couldn’t figure out what tickled more. Squeezing? Spidering? His brain was, frankly, too fuzzy to even think about it.
“I—! D-Don’t—ahaha!!—dohon’t make me say it!”
“Say what? Say that you want me to tickle you?”
“You know what!!”
“Do I? Surely I wouldn’t ask if I knew.” Heavens, Tsukasa wasn’t prepared for how much Rui would tease him. Each sentence seemed to be punctuated by even more tickles. No matter how Tsukasa squirmed or twisted, there was always another hand waiting for him, ready to poke at his side or claw under his arms. He could certainly say it was hell, but he’d surely be lying. The fact that Rui was giggling along with him somehow made the sensation even stronger. So, instead of trying to pull Rui’s hands away, Tsukasa simply opted to cover his own face. This seemingly only encouraged Rui to speed up. “Why are you hiding your face? Can’t I hear you giggle?”
“I—ehehe!! I’m embarrassed!”
Rui gasped. “Tsukasa? Embarrassed? What a fascinating turn of events!” Rui’s hands shot straight up to Tsukasa’s wrists as Rui just barely let his fingers graze Tsukasa’s forearms. His arms?! How was that even a spot that could be ticklish?!
Rui’s hands suddenly paused. It was quiet for a moment—much too quiet. The anticipation still wracked Tsukasa’s body. Though he didn’t quite understand why he was still twitching and giggling, he wasn’t exactly complaining. Still… he couldn’t possibly watch. As his hands rose to his eyes, Rui finally spoke.
“Hm… I wonder what happens if I—” Oh no. Tsukasa realized Rui’s were hovering over—
“DON’T YOU DARE—!” Too little, too late. Tsukasa shrieked as Rui’s fingers danced and scribbled all across his tummy.
“Oh! What an interesting discovery! I simply must know more about this spot…” At this point, Tsukasa had fully collapsed against Rui’s body. If not for being in Rui’s arms, he would have absolutely fallen to the ground. But, far too tired to fight back, Tsukasa couldn’t help but laugh away as Rui methodically mapped every bit of his torso. Knowing Rui, he’d have a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of his tickle spots after today.
And for once, Tsukasa really did feel like a star. Maybe not in the way a world-class Broadway actor would be, or a celebrity on the silver screen, but like the apple of Rui’s eye. Attention without performance felt so utterly foreign to Tsukasa—but he could get used to it, he thought.
Even as Rui lightened his touch and slowed his fingers, Tsukasa still found himself awfully ticklish at the moment. Even the slightest, unintentional movement of Rui’s hand sent him into another fit of giggles. Only after Rui removed his hands completely was Tsukasa able to really catch his breath. Though heaving, he gazed at Rui, who was wearing the dumbest grin he had ever seen. Had he not been so worn out, he would have laughed all over again. “I—I think you enjoyed doing that as much as I… um. You know.”
Rui chuckled. “I do know. As for whether I enjoyed it… open to audience interpretation,” he said with a wink.
Tsukasa sighed fondly. He gingerly took Rui’s hand in his. “Walk me home?”
“Of course, my star.”

Tickle game
As I was struggling to fall back asleep like always, I had the sudden realization that I haven't written a poly WxS fic in over a month. I need to fix that like NOW. Anyways, you just know they'd come up with any excuse to tickle the ever living shit out of Tsukasa LMAO.
Tickle prompts
“Let’s play a game!”
“Pretty please?”

Tsukasa x Rui x Emu x Nene (poly wxs)
Lee: Tsukasa
Lers: Rui, Emu, Nene
Warnings: Tickles!
___________________________________________
As Tsukasa was happily working on the new costumes for their next show, he was suddenly dragged downstairs by an hyperactive Emu "Tsukasa, let's play a game!".
"Can't you see that I was busy- WAH!" he got interrupted mid sentence as Emu launched him over to the couch. Before he even had the chance of getting up, he screamed bloody murder as Rui pounced on him, pinning his arms up in the process.
"Emu I've got him, now get him!" cheered out the eccentric guy as Emu sat on the blonde's waist. Tsukasa looked at their exchange in confusion, until he saw Emu's wiggly fingers approach his torso.
"Wahait! Emu dohohon't!" he wasn't able to hold back the nervous giggles that started bubbling up in his chest. That's how ticklish he was.
"But I wanna play the tickle game with you. Pretty please???" she mustered up the best puppy eyes she could. Tsukasa tried to look away but she was too powerful for this world.
With a groan, he replied "F-fine, but just for a bihiHIT! NAHAHAHA!". He instantly fell into his obnoxious laughter as Emu lost no time attacking his tummy.
"Yay! Coochi coochi coo~!" cheered out the pink girl as her ticklish boyfriend squealed at the teases.
"Aww, isn't he so cute~" cooed out Rui as Emu nodded in agreement. Using one hand to keep his lover's wrists pinned, Rui used his other one to skitter along Tsukasa's neck and ears.
"PFFT! AHAHAHAHA! RUI YOU JEHEHERK!" Tsukasa shook his head around as he squeezed his eyes shut. His face progressively getting redder. The ticklers giggled along their boyfriend, enjoying the cute and funny reactions they got out of him
Suddenly, they were interrupted as Nene walked in on them. "Hey guy what are you doing-" she stopped mid sentence to observe the scene in front of her. Tsukasa was gasping for air as if he had just ran a marathon, while Emu and Rui had the most guilty looking faces on the planet.
"Uhh... this isn't what it looks like!" blurted out Rui, trying to put on a convincing smile, while Emu nodded profusely.
"You guys, we're supposed to be working on our next show".
"But... I wanted to play the tickle game..." Emu looked down with a saddened expression, it was unbearable to witness.
Not wanting to make her girlfriend upset, Nene said "Oh alright, but on one condition". The other two perked their heads up, listening intently. "You let me join in on the fun~" a teasy smirk overtook her lips as the other two smiled in excitement.
"What?! No! This isn't faHAHAIR!" Tsukasa bucked so hard when Nene squeezed his kneecap that Emu almost fell off of him.
"Don't act as if you don't like it~" teased Rui as he went back to scribbling along his neck. While Emu went back to tickling all over his tummy and sides, and Nene remained down tickling his knees.
"GYAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tsukasa's laugh somehow managed to get louder, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole street heard him. He would complain but... Rui was right, he did enjoy it. So why not allow himself to be subjected to his partners tickle torture for a bit. Work can wait a while longer.

To Save a Director's Smile
Fandom: Project Sekai
Lee: Rui Kamishiro
Lers: Tsukasa Tenma, Nene Kusanagi, Emu Otori
Written platonic but it's ambiguous enough to be open to interpretation.
Word Ct: 1.5k
Warnings: Tickles, Maybe some slightly guilt tripp-y lauguage? It's entirely a joke though and it's understood as a joke by everyone involved.
This is heavily inspired by that one side story where Tsukasa doesn't let Rui do an idea and he gets all pouty and drags Emu and Nene into it.
----
“I’m just saying it won’t work! It’s just unrealistic for what we have to work with,” huffed Tsukasa after yet another one of Rui’s overambitious ideas for a stunt in their newest show. After all, it was his duty as troupe leader to keep everyone reigned in. (And had absolutely nothing to do with the fact Rui’s idea was certain to include some new stunt with Tsukasa as the victim)
“And I’m saying with enough work, we can make it happen! As a troupe, we should be working to improve and push ourselves to be better. How do you expect to become a world star with that kind of attitude?” Rui countered.
“I can’t be any kind of star at all if one of your crazy ideas kills me!” Tsukasa all but yelled.
“Aw,” Rui began, taking on an exaggerated pout, “I just thought you’d want to try something new.”
Tsukasa gave a deep sigh. “Rui. I’m not playing this game with you.”
“What game? I’m being completely serious here. And frankly, I’m offended and heartbroken you would take my sadness with such jest.” His ruse was only betrayed by the mischievous glint in his eyes as he stared down the troupe leader.
“You do this all the time. I know you’re messing with me. You’re just pretending so you can have your way.” Tsukasa ran a frustrated hand through his own hair.
“This level of betrayal? From my beloved leader? I would never do such a thing” Rui gasped. He began to shed (admittedly very convincing) fake tears to truly express his levels of distress at the situation. “Won’t you please please please let me do the stunt? I assure you it would make the whole show. And it would wipe away these tears rolling down my poor, poor, downcast, despairing, and otherwise inconsolable saddened face. I may never smile again without it.”
“Hmm,” Tsukasa began, a slight teasy lilt in his voice that Rui, due in no small part to his own dramatics, failed to notice. “I know it does make you very sad.”
Rui glanced up expectantly, his pouty facade beginning to morph into smugness. He just knew his dear troupe leader couldn’t hold out on him that long.
Tsukasa made a step towards him. “And I just can’t stand seeing you so down.”
Another step. “What a shame it would be if I never got to see that radiant smile again.”
Another step. “After all, our director knows best.”
At last, Rui had won. He didn’t even have to convince the others to join in his sorrow.
Wait.
It couldn’t be this easy, could it? Tsukasa never went down without at least a half-hearted fight, especially when it came to Rui’s stunts. The flattery? And the immediate compliance? Combined with the quickly closing distance between the two, it didn’t make sense.
Another step. Tsukasa was now less than an arm's length from Rui, staring directly in his still teary eyes. “And we all care about you so much.”
“So why don’t we just help you smile again?”
Rui didn’t even have time to process the words before he felt two strong arms swiftly pulling him into a firm, confining hug and two hands spidering up and down his ribs, sending the former into a fit of surprised, giddy laughter.
“AHAHAHATSUKASAA” Rui yelled, squirming fruitlessly in the other man’s arms.
“See? Now you’re laughing that pretty laugh! It wasn’t so hard to get you all cheery again!” Tsukasa said brightly.
“NAHAHA, NOT CHEEEHERY!” The taller of the two only barely managed to gasp out through his screeching and ever reddening face. “EMHUHU, NEHENE, HEHELP ME!”
The girls spectating exchanged twin smiles containing nothing but adoration for their poor, trapped director.
“You know, Emu, I think Rui has a point,” Nene chimed in, “He said it himself, he’s not cheery yet, we should go help him to make sure he feels all better.”
“NOHOHO, NOHOT WHAHAT I MEAHNT,” protested Rui, squirming, growing more furious but equally futile in an attempt to escape his oncoming demise.
Emu let out a small gasp, “I think you’re right, Nene! It would be so mean of us to leave him there suffering! We have to help him smile!”
“DOHON’T YOHOU TWO DARHEHERE” Rui screamed. “STAYHEY BAHACK”
Nene shook her head and clicked her tongue. She began her slow walk towards Rui, Emu excitedly bouncing at her side. Each tap of their shoes on the stage steadily getting closer to him as he knew what was going to happen when they got to him was, in Rui’s opinion, the cruelest form of torture   “Poor helpless Rui.” Nene began, having to significantly raise her volume for anyone, much less the source of the noise, to even hear her. “Begging for help but when he gets it, he can’t accept it. So trapped and ticklish and he can’t even do anything about it.” She stood right in front of him, Tsukasa slowing down only so that Rui could hear her over his own laughter. She hovered her hands over all of his worst spots. His ribs, his arms, his hips, and his neck, as if carefully deciding where to strike first. “Hmm, maybe I should go easy on you. After all, the only reason you’re still standing is because Tsukasa is holding you up. We both know you’d be curled up shrieking on the floor without him. I don’t think he could continue to keep you still with much more of your thrashing. But then again, I don’t really mind you taking him to the floor with you.”
 “Hey!” Tsukasa reprimanded.
Ignoring him, Nene continued. “Maybe I’ll gooo.. No… maybeee.. No, not there either.” With each new consideration, she hovered her hands over a new spot, sending the already laughing boy into near hysterics.
“Neneeeee,” Emu whined. “Why can we just tickle him alreadyy-”
“Hmmmm,” Nene drew the hum out for a long time, considering her options. “Okay,” She latched her hands onto Rui’s hips and started rapidly squeezing them. Emu quickly joined in by spidering her hands at his neck, making good use of her nails on the sensitive spot.
“Ahh kitchi kitchi coo! Ahh tickle tickley tickle!” Emu teased.
If Rui thought he had it bad before, he was not prepared for the addition of four new hands combined with Emu’s playful words and Nene’s cruel teases. He could barely even make out words anymore, opting for screeches of laughter, occasionally interrupted by calls that sounded vaguely like his troupe member’s names.
True to Nene’s word, he very quickly lost the ability to stand and with Tsukasa’s gentle assistance, crumpled to the ground in ticklish agony. He instinctively squirmed and wiggled, not truly trying to get away and letting himself get lost in his laughter and the feeling of six hands targeting his worst spots. He couldn’t think about anything except just how bad it tickled.
“As fun as this has been, my dear troupe, I think he’s had enough,” Tsukasa pointed out, taking note of Rui’s (now legitimately) teary eyes and very flushed face. Emu and Nene nodded and removed their hands while Tsukasa gradually slowed down to light scribbles and then to gentle rubbing to help what were sure to be horrible tingles.
“AhEhetheh,” Rui tried to make out words but couldn’t get far enough past the fuzzy, ticklish feeling in his brain to say anything intelligible. He curled into himself and just kept giggling himself silly.
“Awwwww! Rui, you’re so cute and giggly! I love your squealies!” Rui somehow blushed even darker at Emu’s complement
“He doesn’t need to be any more flustered, right now Emu.” Nene cut in, “Let’s give him a second and then you can say whatever you want to him.”
“Nohohohoooo,” Rui protested, “Thahahat’s gonahahaha eheehehehehe,” He couldn’t even finish his sentence without the phantom tickles running rampant all over him and impairing his speech.
Tsukasa gently ran his hand through Rui’s messy, purple hair, smiling in adoration as he leaned into the comforting touch. “Shhh, just breathe for now. We’ll listen once you’ve calmed down a bit.”
Nene handed him a cold bottle of water. Rui wasted no time in using Tsukasa to pull himself into a sitting position, and down half of the bottle in one drink.
“Thahank yohohou” Rui weakly giggled. “I lihiked thahaht a lohoht.”
“Well that’s good because I like tickling you a lot!” Emu chirped.
“Yeah, it is kinda fun to be able to get you to shut up.” Nene smiled, no real malice in her words.
“Of course, Rui. Anything to make our director smile.” Tsukasa added.
“Anyhehthing?” Rui asked, the same mischievous glint returning to his eyes.
“Don’t push it,” Tsukasa said with a poke to Rui’s ribs, sending him into yet another giggle fit from the still hypersensitive skin.
“Okahahy, okahay” Rui conceded. “I won't. For now.”
----
I'm gonna be honest, this was meant to be a warm up drabble for my Squealing Santa writing. However it got so out of hand, it became my first tickle fic. Hooray!
