I think following the one-two combo of Vyra AND Bthemetz both:

1. opposing Numidium (thus, in Kagrenac's mind, opposing Kagrenac) 2. making that opposition public 3. refusing to stay after Kagrenac defeats them (humiliating them, arguably) *despite* concessions made to them (which Kagrenac somehow thinks will make them stay) Kagrenac absolutely has some degree of 'Why does everyone I love betray me and then abandon me'. And it absolutely does not help with any pre-existing issues with paranoia/mistrust.
