[Open Starter]

I have been itching to write some Bat!Quillen content and I finally had the brain to get a starter done! All are welcome to interact! This is what his bat form looks like: https://www.tumblr.com/liltaventures/733730205628317696/no-thoughts-just-quillen-as-a-fluffy-vampire-bat

A soft hum emitted from Quillen’s throat and he looked around the camp silently watching as his companions enjoyed a well deserved day of rest. They had successfully made their way to the mountain pass and were utterly exhausted. The ravenette made his way back into his tent and reflected on the journey so far.

After spending almost two tendays together Quillen has finally been able to trust his companions with knowing about his dhampirism.

At first the conversation had went as well as one would expect. A few members of camp had been quick to become defensive and even outright ask if he’d fed off of any of them without their knowledge, their permission. To their surprise the dhampir hadn’t and instead had gotten his fill from the wildlife around them.

Foxes, deer, boars, and many other creatures had been able to help satiate his sanguine hunger. He was grateful that his companions wanted him to stay at camp and truthfully he would have been crushed if he had to leave.

Quillen yawned and stretched his arms above his head relishing in the relief he felt from his muscles relaxing. “A small nap couldn’t hurt.” He said to himself. The half-elf got comfortable on his bedroll and slowly fell asleep.

A few hours passed and during his slumber the dhampir had shifted into a vampire bat. Soft fur covered his body and even thicker soft fur wrapped around his neck like a small scarf. As he slowly woke up he looked at his living quarters in confusion.

‘Why does everything look so…big?’ He wondered. As he went to sit up his mind began to race. ‘I’m..I’m a bat?! I had no idea I could change forms!’ He slowly began to panic and thrash about when he realized that he was tangled in some loose strings and strands from his mangled bedding.

Quillen called out for help only to panic more when he couldn’t speak. Instead loud squeaks and chirping left his mouth. The dhampir continued to squeak hoping that someone would hear him and come to his aid. ‘Fuck, why did this have to happen now…’ He cursed inwardly. Wriggling his small body Quillen tried desperately to free himself but his efforts were fruitless. He only hoped that someone would hear him soon.
