Queen Linoan commission from tamafry!

Her design was a lot easier to come up with than any of the king designs as instead of trying to come up with something on my own, I found a dress that felt perfect for her quite quickly. I’m still going back and forth a bit on ideas for her crown but her regular headpiece does look nice with this.

Favorite thing about them: That out of many of the young leaders she still leads Tahra in her own right against occupation. Even when she flees it is a bargain that Tahra returns to her there.

Least favorite thing: That there isn’t space to actually TALK about her place as another descendant of Heim/likely having Naga holy blood. That’s a big thing! I know due to Thracia’s focus/perspective it doesn’t come up unless you do something in particular, but I wish more time was spent on it.

Favorite line: Either her compromise with Areone, or even her final line with Dean: “I would give up Tahra before losing you… So please, stay with me, Dean…”

I know the game reads it as romantic starcrossed lovers, but her begging for Dean to stay also reads to me as her being scared of trying to actually rule and take care of Tahra after so much has been driven into her that she wasn’t able to stand firm against the (genuinely unbeatable) onslaught against her. Her being Leif’s age and already under that pressure shows in a time of likely abandonment by someone who has stood by her makes her break.

broTP: Safy and Areone: I could see the latter since they end up not marrying getting a strong, actual friendship. Maybe Dean too down the line once some time has passed and they are able to work out feelings. I need to read Petra’s fic to see if I’d be swayed to Linoan/Areone.

OTP: Safffyyyyy. She stays by her side ;;

noTP: marrying for politics with anyone. It feels like despite her duty Linoan marrying someone only for political reasons feels like an arranged marriage with Bad consequences (kind of like Nyna’s to Hardin), even though I’m usually cool with arranged marriage plots.

Random headcanon: in a Bad End AU I have she ends up marrying Seliph to have another chance at defeating Loptous with someone who can wield the Naga tome. Neither are happy about this~

Unpopular opinion: Not sure?? I think if anyone has a negative reading of her response to Dean I just don’t agree, since I think it shows more sides of her character.

Song I associate with them: Don’t have one atm!

Leif’s coronation, commissioned from the wonderful minorudonguri

I did so much research I ended up not using for this scene but researching is almost as much fun as writing.

This was one of the lovely scenes and probably the happiest chapter overall. Leif finally finishes his arc of accepting his worth, becoming King of Northern Thracia and for the first time being able to believe he deserves it. For the first time in over a decade and a half, Leonster and all the people of Northern Thracia have happiness and hope, a king they want and respect, and the future feels bright. All because of him.
