As the former Emissary, Elidibus knows it's his duty to help defend Etheirys from life-threatening events. Thus, he decides to take up a protective role to keep him, his wife, and others safe around him. Listelle has swapped to Bard to take foes on from a distance.

Alea Iacta Est - Chapter 15: Dread

“There is a missive from Werlyt.  It says there has been movement from the VIIth Legion.”

When Tataru announced it, Kaida knew without doubt what that meant.  The next Weapon would be nigh upon them and there was hardly any time to delay.  A ferry to Terncliff would need to be booked, one to bring as many of them as possible. With things calming down in Norvrandt and all of the missing returned to their corporeal forms, there had been enough of a lull where Kaida had gotten comfortable enough to sleep in and even have a mug or two of ale before sunset.  It was incredibly lazy of her to do—noticeably so (G’raha and Tataru had commented on it) but beneath her eyes hung lingering shadows that spoke well enough for themselves.  Kaida Asagiri did not often feel burn out but she did lately, her mind both hazed in a layer of molasses-like fog and constantly flitting about in an unfocused manner.  It was hell, the Raen thought, but it was the result of the too many things that had happened lately.

Kaida drank deep of the mug she had secured from F’lhaminn, setting her mug down with a clunk and a sigh.  She stood up, knowing that eyes were on her as she did.

“Off to pack,” the Raen announced half-heartedly to her peers.  “I suggest you do the same.”

She had a set of quarters in the Rising Stones—they all did.  Kaida blinked and the next thing she knew, she was in the doorway, staring at her room.  A numbness had taken to her arms and legs, pinning her to the spot.  There was a rise in anxiety from chest to throat, bubbling and frothing like a geyser.  She realized a bit too late that it was vomit and another blink later saw her bent over, the ale from just a few minutes ago emerging in a fashion that looked not entirely unlike how it had gone down.

“I am tempted to forbid you from going anywhere,” Aurelia’s voice came from behind and Kaida winced as she rubbed away some of the lingering droplets from her lips.

“Must have not settled well—the ale, I mean,” Kaida tried to evade but she felt the disapproval radiate from behind.  She turned and saw the others standing there—the disapproval slowly melting into awkwardness.

Listelle stared at her with concerned abundant in her mismatched eyes. Ruhania tapped her chin in thought and scrutiny.  Aurelia had a distinct frown about her lips.  

“Don’t look at me like that,” Kaida finally said after a moment, feeling so hollow that her words seemed to echo out, as if they belonged to another.  “I will clean it.”

She set about her work with a mop and a bucket a few minutes later, full of thought and yet so empty feeling.  She tried to dissect why she was feeling this way because she knew it was most certainly not the ale.  And after some debate, the Raen came to the conclusion she had likely known all along but did not want to admit—the thought of going back to Werlyt mortified her.  That sad town on the cliffside, the feeling of melancholy in the air, knowing what could very well happen if they were too slow once more…

The Raen thought she was going to be sick again, grabbing at the base of her neck. But that was when her fingers skimmed over something cool to the touch—something she had forgotten she had been wearing.  Kaida clasped the crystal Gaius had given her and she prayed silently that her fears would be assuaged.  She would be enough this time.

“Are you praying to a mop bucket?”

Her eyes opened and she looked over her shoulder to see a familiar face.

“Ah- E-Eirian!” Kaida rose to her feet quickly and turned, nearly knocking the bucket over with her tail.  “You’re back from Bozja, I see!”

The viera blinked at her, olive eyes moving from the mess on the ground to the Raen. Their pensive expression made Kaida’s face warm all the more.  She made sure the crystal was tucked under her shirt.

“A momentary respite,” Eirian replied.  “You seem…” There was a drawn-out pause.  “… up to something.”

Due to being brought up in the Black Shroud, Listelle is on more personal terms with the Sylphs! Being a conjurer at first, then became a white mage in the future. Being around these beings gives her a sense of peace. Even if they like to cause trouble here and there. Their glamours almost fool her from time to time.

💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

Listelle's current glasses are from Hesperos after her last pair were broken by him. She considered this a worthy reward as they never break. Ever.

She has a decent singing voice, but only people close to her know of it.

The very black highlights in her hair are from Emet-Selch! She was succumbing to the poisonous Light during ShB, which started to turn her hair white slowly. It was his way of rewarding her for being able to overpower through the nasty Light was tearing her soul apart. These highlights will never go away until her last breath. She's tried to get rid of them, but alas..they still stay.~

Ruhania was the offspring of two Xaela part of a cult named the Paragons of Clarity. She was supposed to be the vessel for their patron voidsent, but it failed. Despite being discarded at a young age and surviving, her connection to the void still stayed. Until after Post-Endwalker did she meet the voidsent trying to track her down: Zyra Frullar. They are 'best friends' now, since they have a connection that can never be severed. This has turned Ruhania into a full-fledged Reaper due to her situation now.

She only uses one grimoire to swap between Scholar and Summoner skill sets. Able to summon Bahamut or Phoenix while healing, or having Aine (her faerie) out healing while throwing out destructive spells (her and her Egis like Titan, Ifrit, Garuda). It's not a perfect set up, as she can still mess up. She has dubbed her new weapon a "duo-grimoire" for the fact she mix-match her spells without having to rely on one job stone.

Throwing books at people when she's irritated is a common reaction.

Chrysise likes to give out divine readings in her spare time. They usually are accurate, but not always! It's a hobby she takes seriously.

She has a thing for Sidurgu, but only Rielle really knows about it. Both of them haven't confessed to each other as of yet. Both have cold feet when it comes to matters of the heart.

While being a WoL, her Echo works differently than the standard 'see the past'. Instead, she can see future events play out in front of her. Thing is, her future visions aren't set in stone. Any random variable can change the outcome. Be it a person, mob, or other event-changing variables. The main part of incident will still take place, but it can be different, despite what she sees originally.

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

Elidibus is the most important person in her life. They have been through hell and back. If anything happened to him, she'd be completely devastated. So far, they're doing alright and tackling an important situation currently.

🍔 HAMBURGER — is your oc good at cooking? are they good at baking? which one do they prefer?

Listelle is good at cooking and has a hard time letting others take over. Elidibus has tried to cook for her when she's gotten ill. Didn't end well most of the time, but she dos her best to lets others do the work. Her background is botany is a boon when making meals on the road!

When creation magics go wrong

Elidi trying to teach Listelle about creation magic. Nothing could go wrong with a simple spell as changing flower colors, right?

WRONG.

Turns out the spell backfired, due the differences in Sundered souls vs Unsundered souls. It was a bit too much for Listelle to handle, and now she ended up a Miqo'te. Elidi isn't too concerned--she's still his Little Star anyway.

Adjusting to having no scales to fuzzy ears and a tail? Hahaha, good luck. It'll wear off...eventually.

I just wanted an excuse to fantasia myself, and thought up this decent excuse why Listy is Miqo'te ICly. It works for me, because I missed being a cat girl. I posted this on twitter awhile ago, but I forgot to do it here.

Listelle x Elidibus Headcanons!

General Headcanons.

It's been a long time since I posted anything, but I worked hard on this! I hope you like the general details I came up with for the duo.

Warning for spoilers for 5.3 up to 6.1 under the read more tab.

The ship name, "In The Starlight", comes from the song called Starlight, which is by Ayon. The lyrics spoke to me about how their dynamic and relationship changed over the course of the expansions. Listelle was the light and bright star in the darkness for Elidibus. Lost with barely any memory of who he truly was, this WoL gave him some sort of light in that everlasting darkness around him.

They fit the partial trope of Star-Crossed Lovers. This is because, before the Sundering, it was too late for Ephine (Listelle's unsundered self) and Themis (Elidibus prior, but has no memory of this) to truly be together. It was only when summoning Zodiark to stop the FInal Days, did Ephine and Themis confess their love for each other. The Sundering spared Themis, but Ephine wasn't so lucky. It took a long, long time, but the main fragment of her soul became Listelle on the Source. Elidibus, by now, had lost most of his memories by then. The universe decided to give them another chance.

Elidibus calls Listelle his "Little Star". This is due to her being a brightly-lit beacon in the darkness he had been experiencing for many years. Even in her unsundered past self, Ephine had been a bright sun for Themis to look up to.

Eli and Listelle understand the concept of one's 'duty'. Elidibus had his duty, as Emissary, to make sure the Rejoinings to the Source went according to plan. Listelle, being a Warrior of Light, understood that she was a force against the Ancients and other 'evil' factors. Both had heavy weights, which brought them together, despite being enemies and arguing constantly. Even if priorities have changed now, Eli has reminded Listelle again and again, that she isn't alone with the burden of duty.

They kept their relationship a secret for majority of the MSQ. It's not exactly a great look that you date someone that wanted to destroy the world previously. Both held a lot of meetings in secret with Listelle almost being caught by fellow WoLs or Scions. They fought and argued a lot prior and up to 5.3. He didn't want to hurt her, but also wanted to fulfill his duty to the Convocation. Bring back dead loved ones, friends, etc. He was fueled with these beliefs, because of being Zodiark's Heart. It wasn't until Elidibus's defeat, and pulling him from the Crystal Tower on the First, was he free from those. They finally came forward after Fandaniel's threat to bring the Final Days in 5.4/5.5. At first, it wasn't taken great. There was some convincing that Eli was on their side now. Their relationship is only known to a few WoLs and most of the core Scions.

The blue-luminescent butterfly, Morpho, is a gift created by Elidibus that he gave Listelle a bit after base Stormblood was finished. Originally, he was using it to spy on her (because she went to important meetings at times), but was very minor. It became an important symbol between both of them. These days, Eli uses the Morpho to talk to her through it, or keep an eye on her, if she's not listening to his words. Mostly when Listelle has hurt herself and needs to rest.

Listelle does sing, but usually behind closed doors. Whenever Eli finds out about it, he'll secretly listen to her play the harp and sing along. However, half of the time she can sense him nearby, due to his aetherial signature. She finds her singing embarrassing, but is usually encouraged to sing for him only.

Listelle is the better cook out of the duo. Creation magics don't add the same flavor and love as hand-made meals. She learned this the hard way anytime Eli tried to make her food. Dun dun dunnn.

Eli and Listelle do spar to keep her combat abilities up to date. With her being a healer most of the time, he inflicts himself with questionable wounds (not enough to actually do serious consequences) to make her focus. With her taking up being a Bard more so after Endwalker, they duel and spar away from people. It's to help get her reflexes and aiming at enemies faster.

Eli makes sure that Listelle rests or doesn't push herself too hard. After what happened at Ultima Thule, he has been hovering over her a lot more. Even if it's annoying to the Raen, she has come to accept he's only looking out for her. She still stubborn to the point that Elidibus has to throw her over his shoulder, in order to her her to cooperate. It's quite a funny show… which happens a lot more than one thinks.

Listelle is a botanist, who travels all over Etheirys (and even the First) to learn more about flora and fauna. This has been a boon, when she has to camp out in the wilderness. Eli has helped her locate plants, trees, and other vegetation to catalog. Her unsundered self was heavy into nature creation magics, so it's not a surprise the hobby carried over to Listelle.
