I just finished the whole pinning process of a really cool looking butterfly and just kinda held it in my hands for a bit marveling at it its so cool

#acro posts #the butterfly is a kallima inachus butterfly or probably better known as a dead leaf butterfly #their wings look like dead leaves while closed and its really cool #the outside color of the wings are what youd expect from a dead leaf lol #but the inside is orange and dark brown with a shimmery blue that seen at certain angles! #the inside also has a couple eye spots which ive always thought looked cool #the head of the butterfly is also kinda oddly pointy?? all my other butterflies had more normal looking head but this one has a fuckin snou #sorry kinda talked more about it than i planned lol #listen listen its a wild looking butterfly i cant restrain myself from going off about it
