Agents of Shield Rewatch 4x09 Broken Promises

Omg I had totally forgotten they used Mahler’s 5th on here

Hilariously I have posted that this movement would be Fitzsimmons if they were a song

Fun fact: Mahler is said to have written this as a love song for his wife, which I totally believe because it reeks of love

Anyway it’s use here is an interesting choice to say the least

Also shoutout to all the Virtue/Moir fans out there cause I know that’s where some people’s minds go when they hear this

Robot!May seems super interested in the Darkhold. Of course.

Also they are going to erase Aida’s hard drive which YES DO IT NOW STAT

Mack, for one, does not welcome our potential robot overlords

Senator Nadeer’s actress, Parminder Nagra, was also a mean FBI agent on Elementary. She’s really good at being mean, but I hope she gets to play nice some roles.

Jemma’s southern accent...bahahaha

Southern accents are notoriously badly done on tv (and FYI not everyone from Texas has an accent or even the same one but that’s a rant for another day), but Jemma is still adorable

Also THIS SUCKS. Fitz trusted Radcliffe. THEY WERE FRIENDS. And here he is acting a fool and BETRAYING FITZ.

Which honestly I should have expected but

Yeah, this gets a -500/10 on the Aida Shenanigans scale because really?? Oh yeah, and a 50000/10 on the RADCLIFFE NO scale because really??? NO. Also Vijay gets my Cool Inhuman Award for this episode. You deserved better that being betrayed by your sister. But also he gets the Listen to Jemma Simmons Award. LISTEN TO JEMMA.

I mean they gave me this episode’s song in the beginning, so please enjoy the Adagietto from Symphony No. 5 by Gustav Mahler. This is legitimately one of my favorite songs in the history of the world, so sit back, close your eyes, and think of someone/something you love.
