Luther s3 e3
Sorry to disappoint, but this random whumpee is a not a MC of a show, but a victim in this Luther episode. This brief scene after they were attacked and he was brutally assaulted by a gang was just too pretty not to share.
I love the aesthetics of this scene and the comfort she provides to his motionless form by gently stroking his hair, careful not to touch his face where he is injured.
btw, he also makes whumpy noises in this scene, for those who like that ;)

Having never seen a single episode of the TV series, I went into this movie completely blind.
Saying that; I really enjoyed this movie and now want to watch the TV series from the beginning.

I hate the show Luther for killing off Justin Ripley. Like why the fuck.

i think fundamentally that the message of Luther: The Fallen Sun, and Luther in general, is that there should be fewer rules in place and people must be allowed to be who they are "naturally", so that people have less to be ashamed of or fearful of people discovering and are so less at risk of manipulation.
And that the "good guys" are always unfettered by pesky things such as red tape and accountability and can do _whatever it takes_ (violence, murder, lying, etc) to catch the "bad guys". Because it is when the "good guys" encounter obstruction by the system that people die - if they were only allowed to do whatever they want/need, it would be better
------------------
I do think the show has tried to address this at times, asking the audience often if Luther's methods justify his results - but, fundamentally, he's always (iirc) right in the end and is ultimately rewarded
