Tough times: Lately I’ve been going through some difficult times which have made me question my existence. Astrologers would say it’s the alignment of the planets, Buddhists would say I am not zen and Christians will say it is the will of God.These tough times have made me see how easy it is to give up on life, give up on hope and end it all. Saying tough times make you stronger is easy going through tough times is another. How does bankruptcy make you stronger if you can’t feed yourself? How does homelessness make you stronger when you don’t have an escape place? How does separation/divorce/heartbreak make you stronger when you cannot find strength to face tomorrow? Waking up in the morning and wondering why you’re alive during tough times is the hardest, going through a day where you have to pretend you’re fine is even harder. Depression does not just appear it creeps in when even you don’t know. Avoiding people, sweeping pain under a rug, brushing difficulties aside to help others and BAM 💥 depressed! When going through hell go through they say how do you find the strength to pull all the baggage through hell, how do you renew your energy to face everything? This what I have tried so far: A piece of paper and a pen. Does it makes sense or it doesn’t? I write what I feel about a particular thing and decide which side it goes. Does it make sense to cry now YES! I cry. Does this step help me towards recovery from bankruptcy NO! What does? Does this “friend” make me feel worth it NO! Our they go. So far so good. My foot is in front of the other.
