thinking about how every druck couple fell in love differently but it works so well for each respective couple.

(didn't watch one or two so can't speak on their behalf. season five, i watched quite a bit but stopped so this is just how i perceived it from what i DID see.)

season 3 — free-falling, intoxicating, consuming. they fell fast and were whipped from the first glance. just the idea of being loved by matteo was enough to keep david from fleeing.

season 4 — quick but cautious. they obviously felt something even at the first glance but they were careful until it was certain that it was meant to be.

season 5 — cautious but also dangerous. nora didn't want to let anyone else in her bubble but josh was willing to let himself be hurt if it meant being in her life. as time progressed it became less dangerous and more comfortable. the home that nora never had.

season 6 — slowly but wholly. it's clear they had feelings for each other before season six even started but it was slow, not quite calculated but hesitant. fatou fell for the ice queen persona and kieu my was scared that's all fatou wanted. once the layers slowly began to peel back, it was clear that it wasn't ice queen kieu my that fatou fell for.

rewatching s4 of druck, i realized that i forgot how amazing mohammed and amira was. the season has many flaws but mohammed is one of the most interesting, kind, charming, fun love interest ever. his chemistry with amira is amazing; their playful banter, little games, angsty boxing, the fact that they communicate... chef's kisses

I keep trying to rank the main DRUCK ships but it’s hard. I think I will have to rank them by my emotional involvement in each ship, not by how well written, how healthy each ship is and stuff. Hmmm.

Davenzi Still my favorite ship. I was so invested in Matteo’s and Davenzi’s relationship. Watching their season live was just so special and exciting for me.

Spiderwitz Nora and Josh are just so wonderful. Separately and together. I love their dynamic.

Kieutou Their season isn’t over yet so their position might change. I do love Fatou and Kieu My has great potential to become one of my favorite characters as well. Curious to see the rest of their season play out.

Winterberg It’s them that got me to DRUCK in the first place so they will always have a special place in my heart. While it’s sad they didn’t end up together onscreen I do think it made sense for them to break up.

Mazzouk Their chemistry is off the charts. From all 6 ships I still think they had the best chemistry. Sadly, the writing, limited episode count and not being able to see them as a couple post Amira’s season resulted in me not being as emotionally involved as I could have been.

Hanna/Jonas They have lovely chemistry and I was rooting for them to get back together. I do think the writing for their reunion in season 4 could have been better though. Especially considering why Hanna ended it in the first place in season 1. Also Stefan suddenly being a thing after season 3 felt odd. So my joy over Hanna and Jonas getting back together wasn’t as big as I had hoped.

I am not 100% set on this ranking. Who knows what it would look like if you asked me again in a month. XD
