All star line-up for MEA2018 includes SXSW’s Hugh Forrest Founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas, SXSW is best known for its conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. The event, an essential destination for global professionals, features sessions, showcases, screenings, exhibitions, and a variety of networking opportunities. SXSW proves that the most unexpected discoveries happen when diverse topics and people come together.  MEA2018 will be able to tap into the experiences of Hugh Forrest to learn the ‘hows’ of this incredible event. Hugh Forrest, chief programming officer for SXSW, to talk at MEA2018. Dr Fiona Kerr combines her role as an Industry Professor (Neural and Systems Complexity) at the University of Adelaide with public speaking and consulting both here and overseas. Bringing together neuroscience, systems engineering, psychology and anthropology, she advises and presents on a range of topics regarding the neuroscience of both human-human and human-technology interaction. Kerr’s research areas include the neuroscience of creativity and collaboration, complex problem solving, trust and even building new brain through human interaction and synchronization, as well as the use of artificial intelligence and the impact of humans interfacing with technologies. She consults on how leaders can build creative, flourishing organisations, and has spent time with fascinating organisations such as Cirque du Soleil. Forrest and Kerr will join an all-star line-up for the plenary sessions including Dr Catherine Ball, Dr Steve Brown, Andy Dexterity, Rob Pyne and Anders Sorman-Nilson. “We are very excited to welcome Hugh and Fiona to the Conference program,” said MEA CEO Robyn Johnson. “Hugh will be discussing the SXSW event and the issues it will be addressing in its next iteration. Fiona’s multi-disciplinary work touches on creativity and connectivity in an age of technology – her presentation will highlight areas all events professionals need to be aware of.” Visit the website to learn more.
