What is this? An actual post from me? An ART post at that? Witchcraft.

SO I LOVE THIS FIC which was written by my best friend @starfishes-and-watercolors, meaning I Had to Create Something for it! "Cat Gloves & Star Ties" is the official AU name and I wanted to put in a little nod to the fic title~

Their outfits came from the drawings she showed me of what she imagined them wearing later on, and I have to say I much prefer the simplicity over the canon outfits I would've had to draw otherwise fhdujkfghdugfhd

To people telling me that Motti is actually Johannes's sister. Believe me I definitely prefer this to the idea of her having some weird crush on him. Johannes being unable to find any other partner for the tag team tournament and being forced to ask his annoying little sister is a really funny idea. However, I don't get where that idea comes from. The wiki (a fan made resource) states it as absolute fact but it's never stated in the show (at least not in the English dub) and the show, seemingly regardless of dub, implies more that she has a crush on him.

To be clear, this makes me uncomfortable because it feels like the episode is trying to romanticise this girl who looks to be younger than ten. I don't actually have a problem with her having a ONE-SIDED crush on him. Kids get crushes on adults or teens all the time, mainly celebrities or fictional characters, and it's a totally innocent, childish thing. As long as the adult/teen in question is... You know, appropriate about it. On-screen, Johannes only ever shows annoyance with her, thinking of her as a nuisance, snapping at her when she gets in the way, and only partnering with her in the first place as a last resort, which yes, does have a sibling vibe. Johannes does act like an older brother, Motti though doesn't act like a younger sister, besides maybe the part about needing a bribe to do anything helpful/nice. That's definitely something my sister would do.

The rest though... Who looks at their siblings like this? O.o

That's just weird, even if it was for a joke, it makes me uncomfortable, especially the frame I won't show that puts the two of them in frame of roses staring at each other. That literally has to be in Motti's imagination considering the out there imagery itself and Johannes immediately snapping at her.

Which honestly, thank you. That entire fifteen second stretch beforehand was really uncomfortable and I'm glad my new problematic fave doesn't have pedophilia on his track record.

So if they are siblings, then this is REALLY creepy and no thank you.

Why don't you ship it?

I just. idk how to describe it i just think selen would try to take advantage of the other two, but Motti's known another certain kitty blader long enough to recognize when she's being used and instead of doing something she would just act oblivious for funsies. It's actually pretty funny once you think about it. It's like Hatergirl x Lovergirl Extreme. Madoka is like caught in the crossfire and I think it'd be so chaotic. Plus im just. not the biggest fan of motti but she's still fun to think about.

What would have made you like it?

I could see it work if only it's a purely chaotic clusterfuck. One minute motti and selen are battling each other over the last pizza slice (it goes about as fair as you expect it) and the next minute they're all on the couch watching anime or something.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

It's honestly pretty cute! I'm more neutrally inclined towards it but i love a good crackship so i cant really dislike it

I mean,, kinda? not very seriously but i like it a lot :D Just cause the gasher bladers need appreciation (NOT THIS ONE) and their dynamic is very fun to think about! just so much silly :3 I saw you madoka/motti pairing and raised you "okay but add some more chaos what about selen too :3)

What are your favorite things about the ship?

How casual and unbothered it is, just vibing with this one <3 and i feel like the 3 of them would be really supportive and cute with each other

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

uuuh i mean... we're like the two gasher gals truthers here and i'm not that passionate about them unfortunately (just shipping in general) but uuhhh i really don't know on this one, i think the two little menaces would enable madoka to get silly too :3

when it's Johannes everyone talks bad, BUT WHEN IT WAS PLUTO THROWING SHARP OF BEYBLADE IN THE ARENA AND BREAKING UP THE SOIL OF THE FOUR BLADERS, NO ONE CARES

I love Johannes, I don't care about anything, but even so, he's nice, his ironic personality is something that makes us laugh in the midst of despair

AND YOU, I HATE YOU, IF IT WASN'T YOU JOHANNES WAS ON THE GOOD SIDE OF THE FORCE, YOU MONSTER, no one should like you, it should be a crime, you could have died in Ryuga's place, I would smile would be something happy to see

And Motti, I can't hate you, but you didn't do much to be loved, you're nice, I think you're someone Johannes would put up with,but that's a story for another post.
