Sometimes you wonder why the cute boy, who you sometimes catch watching you stretch before practice, never tries to talk to you. It’s not that you’re assuming anything. It just happens that he looks your way a lot. And yes, you do notice it. Maybe he thinks he’s subtle but he really isn’t.
You haven’t been in the dance club for very long. While you’ve been trying different styles since you were little, your first year of university was a whirlwind, living away for the first time, getting used to classes, going to MTs and festivals, joining the organisations that your sunbaes recommended. It left you little time, if any, to look for a studio where you could practise your beloved hobby.
Luckily, one of your sunbaes introduced you to the dance club, open to all majors and exactly the thing you were looking for.
“Okay everyone, from the top.”
You’ve been grouped up with Seo Won, Kim Dayeon, Cha Woongki and Seo Youngeun for a cover of (G)I-DLE’s Tomboy, one of the performances that regularly made up the repertoire for the club’s end of the semester showcase. The last time this song was performed had been legendary, led by now graduate students Shen Xiaoting, Zhang Hao and senior Sung Hanbin when they were in their first and second years. So yes, you had very large shoes to fill.
From the other side of the room, Seunghwan is definitely not watching the way you move your hips. Someone smacks the back of his head. He spins around only to see Chen Jianyu walking casually to his spot, the graduate student shrugging in response.
“I know you like them but can we do less staring at their ass and more practising please hyung.”
“I’m not staring at their ass.”
Seunghwan hisses at Lee Jeonghyeon who just looks back at him, unimpressed.
“Sure hyung.”
Mun Junghyun chimes in because Seunghwan gets zero respect from any of his dongsaengs these days. As if on cue, Junhyeon decides to chime in at that very moment.
“So should we do it like this? Or…” He demonstrates a bit of choreography before realising what kind of conversation he walked into.
“Oh was Seunghwan-hyung staring at- mmmph.” Seunghwan hurriedly shoves a hand over the other’s mouth because Junhyeon has no sense of volume control about 80% of the time, now being one of those times.
“Junhyeon-ah.”
“Mhmmph?”
“Do me a favour and please shut up.”
“Hmmmhmph.”
With that, Seunghwan finally lets go because Junhyeon can’t speak in muffled gibberish forever and also they actually needed to practise. Junhyeon stares at him but doesn’t say anything. It’s finally quiet. Actually, it’s a little too quiet.
Seunghwan realises that the music from your group’s speaker cut out and he’s confronted by the magnificently judgemental stare of Cha Woongki while he calmly sips his water. Seo Won looks a little too entertained and the girls give him knowing looks. Luckily for him, you’re busy monitoring your practice on someone’s phone.
“That was great, hyung.” Junghyun decides to say because of course he does.
“Very subtle.” Jeonghyeon adds. Seunghwan swears they’re the devils.
“Is he confessing now or are we starting practice?” Jianyu asks because even the eldest won’t give Seunghwan a break.
“The new choreo please, Junhyeon-ah.”
Seunghwan is tired.

“And for the record, you know Lee Seunghwan was totally staring at your ass earlier.”
“Oh, is that his name?”
Woongki takes your face in his hands and proceeds to squish your cheeks.
“Oh my poor clueless baby.”
“We’re the same age?” You’re vaguely alarmed and a little confused, eyes flying to Seo Won, your lovely sunbae just shaking his head.
“He’s definitely into you.” Dayeon pipes up.
“He’s never even talked to me though?”
“Seunghwan-sunbae’s just shy.” Youngeun justifies.
“Well I think he’s being a pussy.” Woongki declares, all of you gasp, including the ahjumma who’s about to take your orders. Dayeon offers her an apologetic look and asks for extra rice for the stew you ordered.
“Don’t call him names when we aren’t even sure if he likes me.”
“Oh he definitely likes you babe, he just needs to grow some balls and confess, Won-hyung and I have money on him cracking by the interim check.”
“Sunbae!” Seo Won’s unfazed, calmly thanking the ahjumma who’s brought steaming bowls of kimchi jjigae and rice to the table.
“I bet on the pre-final performance.” Dayeon says, grabbing some rice.
“Oh same.”
“I- wait how many people bet on this??”
“I dunno, like the whole dance club?”
“Eh???”

Seunghwan can’t believe he’s doing this.
“I can’t believe he’s finally doing it.”
“He is?”
“Yep.” Three voices say at the exact same time. Seunghwan throws a dirty look at his traitorous group members. Seriously, he needs better friends.
Junhyeon pats him on the shoulder ceremoniously, looking way too solemn for this.
“You can do it, hyung, I believe in you.”
The younger boys sounds so sincere that Seunghwan’s almost touched.
“Don’t fuck it up, hyung.”
Nevermind.
It’s the interim check. Nothing too serious. Just the whole club getting together to check everyone else’s performances out and give tips. Definitely. And because Junhyeon loudly volunteers them to go first, they’re going first. Fuck.
Here’s something Seunghwan learned from letting Junhyeon lead their choreography. He’s actually pretty fucking good. They’re in sync, all their moves are sharp and on beat and he even gives everyone a small part in the centre where they can show off their strengths. Then, they get to the freestyle part.
So here’s another thing Seunghwan learned from letting Junhyeon lead their choreography. He’s also pretty fucking good at incorporating the stupidest ideas and getting everyone to agree to them. Case in point, what Seunghwan is about to do now as he puts on the stupid meme shades that Junhyeon had convinced the whole group to wear.
He’s front and centre, grooving to the beat and looking at where you’re sitting near the front with the other dancers covering Tomboy. Seunghwan takes a deep breath and with his whole chest, yells out your name and then says:
“GO OUT WITH ME!!”
The whole club goes wild, hooting and then cheering when you stare at him with wide eyes before nodding. Seunghwan swears his cheek muscles are going to collapse from how hard he’s smiling. They wrap up the dance without a hitch and immediately his members are descending upon him, yelling their congratulations.
On your part, well you get a grand total of thirty seconds to comprehend what just happened before Woongki announces your group is going next and bodily dragging you with him. You suddenly remember what you had agreed to do for the interim check.
“I mean he confessed already so-”
“You’re doing it, babe.” Woongki cuts in, leaving no room for protests.
Seunghwan thought he wasn’t prepared to confess today. What he really wasn’t prepared for was you sauntering over to him during your freestyle section (the infamous la la part), hips swaying as you proceed to drop it low while everyone freaks out, him included.
After that, Seunghwan can no longer say that he wasn’t staring at your ass. Woongki and Seo Won make a shit ton of money from the betting pool that had been going. And you? Well the cute boy, who you sometimes catch watching you stretch before practice, did more than just talk to you. And that’s the story of how Lee Seunghwan eventually became your boyfriend.

As a Robin roleplayer, I think I'm getting a little tired of chrobin... yes I ship it but it's annoying how everyone assumes that I want it 100% of the time in multifandom groups when most of the appeal of multifandom rp to me is the unhinged crossover crackships. Also, I can genuinely have it in groups that only allow Fire Emblem characters, provided that the Chrom mun is willing.

throughout my childhood and adult life i've lived in five different states, all up and down the east coast! despite this though i have never visited a state outside of the east united states.
archery is a big hobby of mine, even if i don't have nearly as much time to do it right now. i started out using a child's fiberglass compound when i was a kid, but grew out of it within a couple years and now use a wooden recurve bow. it's for this reason that actors holding bows incorrectly in movies makes me go on unhinged rants, sorry anyone who's friends with me.

i'm like. a huge nerd, traditionally speaking. i am a fountain of useful or useless information about comic books and stars wars. i've been following both marvel and dc comics since i was in middle school, and in high school i added star wars to my list of nerd obsessions. the batfam and young avengers are beloved to me, and my favorite star wars characters are ezra bridger, ahsoka tano, and cal kestis!

Rare-pairs... oh my god I have so many of those that I'm drawing a blank right now. I think the one that comes to mind is strangely Da.igo Doji.ma and Goro Maji.ma from the Yakuza games lmao, maybe even Ichiban and Zhao from the same games, idk I just vibe with them. But Daiji.ma was my shit for the longest time. And also probably Kuroiwa and Yagami from the Yakuza spin-off, Judgment. OH! And also Soma and the professor dude or like... his subordinate Akutsu (but I guess that last one wasn't a rarepair) from the sequel of the spin-off. Does Maevelight count as rarepair? Cause they'd be my top rarepair as of now (and maybe Zack and Cloud if they count as rarepair) I'm wondering if I'll like Home.lander and Fire.cracker but that probably won't be a rarepair lmao.
My first OC, I am unsure if I can pinpoint... I think it was this servant girl called Lilian I made for a canon character, when I used to try and run from my male/male ships to be "normal" lmfao! My first OC here though was my AI, AIROS. My sweet bean, my lovely android who is trying to learn about the world without knowing he is a spyware watching over the people. I had a lot of verses for him... maybe I could add one for the boys, but he'd be too much of a good boy to be able to survive in that world... Though it'd be a good chance to give him a real-life FC I guess.
I have so many favorite canons that change with what I'm currently obsessed with. Like, before the boys it was Adler and I immediately 'hated' him as a mechanism of defense because I actually loved him a lot lmfao, his characterization was top notch in-game, so much that everyone really wants him to appear in the sequel despite the wrongdoings he did to the protagonist. Anyway, since right now I am obsessed with the boys and clearly But.cher is my favorite – it's safe to say I'm pretty satisfied with most of his portrayal in canon, as of Season 3. There is a leak that has me just a little doubtful about what they're trying to do with him going forward, but I'm hoping it's explained in a way I can get behind, they've done well, so far. Otherwise, I feel like they did a very nice, deeply flawed character that I adore. It hits all the spots I love in a character and, honestly, I feel it was tailor-made for me to love, at least the show rendition of him. I don't like the comics one at all. Aside from that, I think Raiden from Met.al Gear has been practically my sleeping agent all-time favorite or so, and I absolutely love what they did with his character (not me vibing with a "mood swings" type of character trying to do good, but also being unhinged). I miss him and his struggles a whole lot, wish they would've continued his games.
I describe rp as "I portray a character from a series or invent one and make up scenarios with friends on the internet who portray other characters. We keep the scenes going back and forth." Despite this, I don't think my mother gets it at all. My friends didn't get it at the start, until I made them rp with me via notebooks when we were in middle school, it turned into an obsession for all of us... Good times lmao.

I have been avoiding this head canon like the PLAGUE because I wanted to not seem like I was doing mun bleed or inserting myself into Steve at all, but since apparently it's a popular hc, I'm just going to make it official.
Steven Alexander Harrington is Italian.
There, I said it. No, to me, this doesn't mean he was born in Italy (Hawkins his entire life bb), or that he has an accent or speaks the language (he can barely speak English, are you kidding me haha). It just means little things that are picked up on. Such as the fact that he's already fairly tan, but in Summer that boy can get so dark with his olive skin that he's like a freaking God. Italians (stereotypically, but again, I'm going off my own Italian mun bleed here) are also PRETTY DAMN HAIRY PEOPLE sooooo. Talks a lot with his hands to try and get his point across.
I also think that Italian is probably his favorite food to cook. If you write with me, you know my Steve is a great cook. Let's just say that like, his grandma is Italian or something and he has fond memories of her teaching him back when he was still close to his family. His absolute go to are different types of pasta dishes. Like tonight when I was cooking mushroom cavatappi with a creamy garlic alfredo? And dancing to Lady Gaga unhinged? Very Steve of me.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: yea to a degree, at least the big ones have parts of me in them, but i think we all do that to some level. most of them have 1 or 2 qualities that i project a little bit on? i'd say axel is the most similar to me because we think very similarly ( i created him when i was young and i've written him so much over the years ) but at the same time i write very like... intense characters, also very unhinged characters, and in reality i am a very nervous and cautious guy. so while axel and i have a lot of the same relatability factors, i would.... not do what axel does, he's a little nut. muse / mun separation is also super super important to me, i also try really hard to make my muses distinct from one another but that's easier said than done

4. multiple people threads
pretty fun, i've seen those! i think how they can work is the muns take turns replying to the thread in the same order every time minus plotted moments (at least on tumblr)?
there's big fun potential with said threads though, i could be down for something like that if some details are plotted (even if i would probably be slow as usual with them the fear of me slowing down multiple other muns tho oh n o) and whenever i see one in our general vicinity nowadays it's exciting!
20. violent threads
this is interesting! basically i'm a canon typical violence(tm) writer, trying to fit the mood of whatever moment/verse the thread is in! like my "angst has to be meaningful" philosophy ways, any violence would have serve some purpose, even if it's a little purpose, as long as it's not there just for the sake of it.
and now i just remembered how i made jude get shot and ambiguously die in my bad!end drabble DKJFLKJK he hates me just to show how dire things have gotten for him (i guess that means that verse is rated M now. it's a tad darker than x2... and that's ok because he's a badass in it).
speaking of that M rating! i can similarly see myself writing typical horror violence stuff for jude, because that could be fun not for him (e.g. tone/intensity levels similar to games like fatal frame, higurashi, the last of us) but i probably wouldn't get into the extreme details of said violent stuff unless it was super necessary or something. some stuff is better left to the imagination for sure.
in terms of violence during fight scenes, canon typical violence stuff is again my benchmark! i've done the my muse and your muse vs npc fight scenes which is fun, but i don't really have experience with the 1v1 my muse vs your muse in the parking lot type but i'd only feel inclined if the details were plotted beforehand (e.g. knowing the conclusion/set direction of the thread) and if the fight in said thread/scene held some narrative weight.
basically i'm way more interested in the emotional tone/importance of an action scene (plus the impact of it later) rather than just writing it to focus on the technical details of the fight of who would win etc. to me, the latter is just a vehicle to make the whole thing come togetherー it's important, but incomplete without the whole 'why' part. because then it'd feel a lot less like writing out a smash bros match rather than just playing it (i think that's my weirdest metaphor yet LMAOO) personal preference strikes again though!

i've somewhat(?) properly gushed about him here and related it to writing so if your name is Lin you're no stranger to me saying things about Jude UMM i'll just talk about his hair LMAOO
the beautiful and subtle asymmetry of his hair in x1 especially that slightly longer piece of hair off to the side of his head here. is it underrated or does everyone love that part, i have no idea sldjflsdkf but he really doesn't sport the super generic flat mc hair, it's just a little wavy/longer at the back! the non-wild/cute and round hair look suits his quieter personality here too T_T plus he's so cute bYE
his extremely amazing hair in x2. described aptly. this coupled with his new outfit = i now have an entirely different concept of "one year timeskip" i remember thinking at first "WAIT THAT'S HIM? NO WAY... idk... let me think about this..." but now he makes me faint so. who won here. it suits him bc he's even more mature, and his character design changed so much but in the best way i think. i'm so glad this version of him exists LMAOO good job x2 for all your faults and amazing moments

i/you/we think the first answer to that question's pretty much the opposite of intact & wet. my/your/our internal, younger voice adds unhelpfully. ...that is to say, cut & dry. ( wade's been teaching me/you/us about the vast, wonderful world of verbal expressions human use. this is one of them. )

hmmm...i'll go in general since for this blog, they are kinda?? tied together by similar themes:
while a lot of them have frankly, traumatizing histories, i am able to balance their personalities out with lighter hcs...hcs that might seem shallow or silly in comparison to the core stuff, but rather help me make them feel more fleshed out?? or maybe i just think without the lightness, it makes him feel more like punching bags than actual ppl-
a lot times i kinda like, schedule informally when i'm going to do whose replies, but on occasion, if i see a reply or something in RL, one of them will PIPE UP AND NOT SHUT UP...that's how the inspiration gets sparked :'D
a lot of them are all going thru a bastardization arc : ] ( mana's becoming a bully, lam's getting grumpier, patrick's a little shit, myungdae's a coward and lies compulsively, felicity's getting kinda scary, and also i'm pretty sure alfred's becoming more and more unhinged in my head and i love him for it ) - they'll do the things i would never in rl JFKLSDJFLKSDJF
17. What makes you insecure about your own writing?
in my prose writing, i have a tendency to veer, ironically, into short choppy sentences and i think part of the reason is that unlike with roleplay, there is another person to bounce off of...ie material to respond to :'D whereas with prose i have to make the entirety of the base and that includes the point of the convo....full conversations in my own prose is probably my worst enemy bc i have to?? fill in the spaces between dialogue?? and if i don't have enough internal thought/analysis, then i'm going to rely on physical action ( necessary or not ) and we don't want to go there :'D
but another thing also!! i always worry that i'm not digging deep enough into the topics i write about ( esp. the heavier stuff )...like there's a core statement that needs to be made or more exploration needed, but i dunno where to go from there :( this was always a struggle of mine back when i was a lit major :'D
22. Are there any red roleplay flags for you that make you back off immedately?
hmmm....there are things i see in a blog that do make me uncomfy, but these days, it's been more of the vibes of the mun that help me determine if this is someone that i want on my dash :/
that being said, if it feels like someone is constantly looking for angst ( ie reblogging angsty memes specifically where their muse is being taken care of ) in their threads, i get uneasy bc yeah!! i do write a lot of dark hcs, but that doesn't mean i want to actually write that all the time :// that and it can veer into forced caretaker-caretakee dynamics and those are never fun in my opinion...
oh! also if you have dnis with multiple blog urls, ur on thin ice :/ i mean it's okay to have an unspoken dni; i certainly don't blame ppl for having them bc i'm sure many of us have had unpleasant experiences and therefore need to set our boundaries. just i don't feel comfortable when someone goes out of their way to list it in like, their rules....i really don't need to know new writing partners' personal beef with other ppl and if something goes wrong, i don't want to have their issues with me to be aired out in public...if i'm really interacting with someone that makes you uncomfortable, i'd rather talk it out in the dms ://
