no drama, but then I see under their search results:

they have associations with 6ix9ine ? he’s controversial 

and I got a lil worried so then I opened the Nelk youtube page and find some unsettling shit

And now I’m thinking oh god is Jamie’s an incel alpha male? but then I remember that picture of him is ancient because we’ve got the Erie otters logo on the backdrop 

Jamie played for the otters in 2018 (5 years ago omfg) 

so then I thought if he was watching this channel around at that time, these videos aren’t that old. so what did the Nelk channel look like at that time?

May, I can't with the hypocrisy of Max's fans. They are mad Kelly supports Bolsonaro when Max unfollowed islamophobic Geert Wilders just for good PR after Nelson's racism, liked a post of Trump dancing with supporters on that racist/misogynist "Nelkboys" page he follows on IG, says controversial shit since ever to the point he offended a COUNTRY once. He'd definitely vote for Bolso if he were brazilian and they are acting like he doesn't know where he's putting his mediocre dick on.

I mean, if there's one semi-smart thing about Max is that he never outright made a comment on his political views (I think). Sure, we can take a guess by his social media activity and whatnot... But I couldn't imagine sharing my life with someone who has wildly different socio-political views from me, especially when said partner is out there campaigning for a candidate that has (more than once) made homophobic/ racist comments etc.

So as much as Max fans want to defend him, even if he isn't an outright supporter, he must be ok with her views on some level which is very Yikes™ 😳

Week 6

When growing an online community it is important to connect to the people. Aliinging goals that fit into the community well will help gain any social media account a copious amount of followers. Creating a mission statement that benefits both the business and the community is a great way to grow a community online. Community collaboration will provide insight without being filtered through an intermediary. The six F’s on attitudes towards social media separate organizations based on their comfortability with social media. When thinking of the organization I am working with this semester they would fall under “Formulating”. After reading over Hootsuite and their opinion on the best way to grow an online community I recognized that the answer was a right infant of me the entire time. The best way in their eyes to grow an online community would be to get the community engaged with posts on social media. Great examples of this would be the Nelkboys who have scaled their YouTube Prank channel into a multimillion-dollar clothing line named “Fullsend”. Another example would be Bob Does Sports who posts videos of terrible golf accompanied by drinking any type of alcohol. Along with these entertaining videos they sell golf shirts with their brand “Breezy” across the right lapel. Engagement from viewers will be enough to set any social media account on the fast track to a strong and loyal community.
