All the posts here have descriptions, either in the main post body or in alt text. Why even follow me or reblog from me when you’re going to remove that. Do you hate disabled people so much?

guys. guys please listen. i am gently cupping your face as i say this.

the scarf is not "hijab". hijab is not a headscarf. hijab is modesty. it means to cover. the hijab is to cover your body. not just women wear hijab. men have their own hijab too. hijab is the concept of modesty, it does not just refer to a random scarf on your head.

do not call a headscarf a "hijab" for non muslim women who wear them, especially if they are not living a modest lifestyle. hijab is for every person who is muslim, whether it's for a man or a woman or whatever else. it does not refer to the scarf. the scarf is just a small part of what "hijab" is. hijab a concept, not an object.

Question for people who are more tumblr-savvy: If I block someone on my main, will they also be blocked from this blog? I always block all fet-ish blogs who interact here, but I’m worried it might not be enough. I’m on mobile 99% of the time, and as far as I know, it’s not possible to specifically block from a side blog on mobile.

After I’ve blocked someone, their notification (like/reblog/etc.) disappears from hijab-described’s notification center, but im not sure if it’s simply “invisible” to me and they might still be able to interact and I simply don’t see it.

Does anyone know the answer? If not, I might write a message to tumblr support to ask, but I don’t want to bother them and I don’t know how long a reply would take to arrive.
