Selfship Stuff

Overhaul? Yes. But I try to be a bit more careful with f/os nowadays so a lot are pending. I mainly focus on Ensemble Stars and Hypnosis Mic tho, so expect me to gush about them the most. I mostly post about Fling Posse at the moment. I love all of my f/os though!

"Shipped with s/i" means that I ship them with my s/i but I do not consider them f/os! I just enjoy the ship dynamics. Thus these ships are not personal to me by any means and I would not rank them as my partners due to a lack of feelings for them.

There are also a few f/os who are a bit complicated due to past circumstances (I rather not talk about it). Once I recovered and sorted my feelings I add them to the other rows especially Romani Archaman, I love him so much and want to decleare him my boyfriend again you have no idea... However long that will be. I love them though and plan to add and gush about them eventually once I moved on from the situation! I just don't know when that will be...

Iffy sharing Fling Posse (Ramuda, Gentaro, Dice), Henry (FE) and Blaze romantically (except with my friends). I will not block you but I might block your tag (if possible) or not follow back and/or interact with your posts (related to that f/o) if possible. yep, the app that's been going for 6 years strong is finally shutting down. the staff made 4 tweets about it which you can find here (one, two, three, four), but basically they say,

"hesokuri wars is shutting down and a new game is being made. the game will shut down on October 2nd, 2022 at 15:00 (JST). thank you for playing the game. we're renewing all the previous events and adding new event(s?) for the ending of the game. the new game will be called "osomatsu-san's main battle poko ball"* and will be made this winter. tweets about it will come from this same account."

With the annual play “Takizawa Kabuki ZERO 2022” being on stage starting in April, we asked Snow Man about the fighting spirit they don’t usually get to show.

Raul

My fighting power: 2 stars

In the first place, I think I don’t have that much fighting spirit and thoughts of “I want to win”. There is no right way to perform in this kind of work, and there is no 1st or 2nd place. I think it would be nice if we could stay true to ourselves.

I would do my best in this part in “Takizawa Kabuki ZERO 2022”!

At any rate, “Takizawa Kabuki” is a challenge of stamina. That’s why I want to win this mental and physical fight. One of my problems is that I become cold and blunt to other people once my mental state weakens and I lose my composure. Everyone is really working hard so I would be happy if you could warmly look after us and send us cheers of encouragement.

My fighting power: 5 stars

Not just 5 stars, but probably about 7 stars. I do think that it would be over for me if I lose my fighting spirit. I also aim to pause and think, and not get too heated up during things like discussions.

I would do my best in this part in “Takizawa Kabuki ZERO 2022”!

I thought “this season has come again”. Takizawa Kabuki is an important place for us so we intend to face the challenge of presenting something new while firmly keeping the core of the work. Like how the senpais before us did, I want to make a performance that will make even the kouhais we’re sharing the stage with feel something while watching us.

My individual fighting ability isn’t much, but I reach the maximum because SnowMan compensates for my lack of it. With these 9 members, it feels like we can show our fans a new landscape.

Last year, I was very frustrated that some performances were canceled because of the corona pandemic. I’m praying that we can finish all the performances this time without incident. I hate losing. Red, my member color, might be imbued with fighting spirit. But lately, I’ve started to think that it depends on what you perceive as winning or losing. I try to see the good side.

I like the world of “Takizawa Kabuki”, and I spent a long time learning in that place. We treasure the fact that we are inheriting Takizawa Kabuki from Takizawa (Hideaki)-kun in its ZERO form, and I will do my best so that feeling is conveyed to the audience. I am also most excited because I would probably learn something new this time too!

Like last year, my birthday this year also falls on the day after the last performance for Takizawa Kabuki. That’s why I plan to work as hard as I can to enjoy my last stage as a 28-year old. It’s a totally different performance from the movie “Osomatsu-san”, so I want people to watch the movie in theaters and enjoy the gap between the two.

It’s because I want to enjoy everything. My fighting spirit comes from my ability to have fun. I want to keep improving my ability to enjoy and, in turn, make others enjoy too. 23 is a number that came to my mind through inspiration.

I think there are more people who think “Takizawa Kabuki? Is that SnowMan’s?”, and on the other hand, there are people who came to know SnowMan through Takizawa Kabuki and are anticipating the next stage play. I will give my best effort so that everyone from both groups can feel immersed in the worldview of the story.

During today’s shoot, I realized that I don’t have much fighting spirit (laughs). I think I might have 3 or 4 stars before but I changed as the years passed. I am basically a pacifist, so I might not really like categorizing things into winning or losing.

I would do my best in this part in “Takizawa Kabuki ZERO 2022”!

I want to show my growth and dignity as someone who has been doing Takizawa Kabuki since his Jr. days and has now inherited the show. It has been 3years since we debuted. I have to make them think “they look magnificent on stage”. And, even though we are in times like this, I want everyone who bought tickets to safely enjoy the show until the end.

It’s because I am never satisfied with the current state of things, and I’m always thinking of wanting to try something new. Even without putting my feelings into words, the fighting spirit I kept to myself is enough. I think I am greedy regarding work.

I would do my best in this part in “Takizawa Kabuki ZERO 2022”!

I have my fighting spirit born from the fact that we are inheriting a traditional stage, and it has always been my intention to work my hardest. I like the henmen performance (t/n: face/ mask change, a performance from classical Chinese theater) so I’d like to do that again if possible. I can do whatever facial expression I want inside the mask. I really like that I can go on stage without my face being seen! (laughs).

My fighting power: 5 stars

My fighting style isn’t the power type, but the type that has a good feel for when to retreat and when to attack. Like someone who hasn’t done anything but somehow wins. Actually, things just naturally go well.

I would do my best in this part in “Takizawa Kabuki ZERO 2022”!

We’re being allowed to be the main again this year so I will put all my strength to do the performance. It’s just that doing fukkin taiko is already getting tough that’s why I’ve thought of doing things like trying to ask Takizawa-kun to not include me in that segment (laughs). Please look forward to the gap between SnowMan’s live stages and this performance!

Hi everyone!

So, I have a question for anyone willing to answer, particularly those who are also interested in video games (that have multiple adaptations into other products), anime and Japanese music. 

I have a friend in Japan who I frequently collaborate with and he works in overseas marketing for an entertainment company. He recently asked me if I could find out if there are any “concerts, 2.5 stage plays,” things of that nature that his company would be able to bring overseas that “many people might be waiting for.”

To give an example, 2.5 Stage Plays involve things like the Bleach musical, Prince of Tennis musical, Paradox Live, Sailor Moon stage plays/musical, Osomatsu-san Stage Play, Sakura Wars the Stage Play, the upcoming Fruits Basket stage play... things like that.

Concerts may include seiyuu like Gakuto Kajiwara, Hatano Wataru, or bands/singers like Ai Otsuka, EXO, Namie Amuro, i☆Ris, LiSA.

Per my friend: “Nothing is off limits or limited to just his company, everything is possible, except for companies who already have been doing global live streaming, like Johnny’s! Content with a big global fandom but belong to small company might have potential.”

It’s pouring rain when the rest of the sextuplets come to walk Karamatsu home from the train station, and he doesn’t want to go out in it.

Today’s drama club meeting wasn’t a very good one. The teacher leading it got focused on the two lead actors for the play which the club is showing tomorrow night, because they were both fighting and at each other’s throats. Most of the others ignored Karamatsu in favor of being on their phones or reading magazines or running lines while the teacher was busy with the leads.

Finally, in a twist that puts the cherry on the horrible meeting sundae, despite the fact that he’s playing a small part, Karamatsu messed up his own lines every single time. The others were so irritated with him, he wished the floor would just swallow him up.

Usually he’s so good with acting. It’s something he’s passionate about and enjoys and takes pride in. Today… it’s not that he’s nervous about the production. It’s that he just feels awful.

He’s been tired since he woke up, he’s warm and clammy at the same time, his throat is scratchy, he keeps coughing and sneezing, and any part of his body that doesn’t have a specific complaint is simply achy. Mommy noticed that he wasn’t feeling well when she sent them all to school, but he begged her not to keep him home, and since he didn’t have a fever this morning, she let him go.

There’s… definitely a fever running through him now, though. He thought for sure his brothers would notice and maybe ask him if there was anything they could do; instead, he’s been behaving so normally as far as they’re concerned, with his quiet nature and tendency to cry over small things, that not a single one of them has picked up on it.

On top of everything else, he forgot his umbrella. It was supposed to be sunny today, so he had to walk from school to the train without one, and now when he gets out of the station, he has to go out into the rain with barely any protection.

Although he’s crying by the time he reaches his brothers, it blends in pretty well with the rain.

Thankfully, all his brothers are carrying umbrellas, so he huddles under Osomatsu’s and presses himself against his older brother’s side. Osomatsu immediately accommodates him, pulling Karamatsu in to get dry. “Hey, bro! Geez, you’re shaking like a leaf. Sorry you didn’t have your umbrella!” He chuckles and tousles Karamatsu’s hair. “That’s what you get for picking a nerd hobby that’s right after school so you don’t have time to go home and get anything.”

“Don’t listen to him, Kara ― your hobby is just fine,” Choromatsu hums. He’s busy trying to entertain Totty, who’s doing his damnedest to attach himself to Choromatsu’s hip. “Now, guys, it’s raining out here, so can we please go home and get some tea? If we stay out here much longer, we’re gonna catch colds, and I do not want to be sick for graduation.”

Jyushimatsu scoffs. “That’s still two weeks away. We’d be fine, dumbass.”

Choromatsu’s face turns bright red. “W-well, if you’re fine getting sick regardless, you can go jump in the puddles for all I care!”

A smile briefly flashes across the second youngest’s face. “Really??” And just like that, he’s back to looking constantly angry. “Naaah… that shit’s for babies!”

They all begin to walk, and Ichimatsu shakes his head. “Ah, Karamatsu-nii-san… some of my friends wanted to come see that play tomorrow. What time does it start, again?”

“U-uh.” Karamatsu sniffles a few times, nuzzling against Osomatsu’s shoulder. “7 P.M. for the first one. Then there’s another showing at… at 8:30. I… don’t know if I’m… going to go, though.”

“What??” Choromatsu frowns as the six of them stop for the crosswalk. “You’ve never had stage fright before. You’ll be fine once you get up on the stage.”

“I don’t know, Choro…”

“Oh, come on, Kara-nii-san. Don’t cry like that… you made a commitment! You don’t wanna let your club down, right?”

Karamatsu reaches up to try and wipe the tears away. Not only is it kind of ineffective because his rain-soaked bangs keep dripping down his face, his hand keeps brushing against parts of his acne as he tries, which is painful. “Y-yeah, but…”

Osomatsu gives his little brother a squeeze that he thinks is supposed to be reassuring. It’s a bit rough, though. “No ‘but’s unless you’re grabbing a girl’s butt, Kara! You got this! You’ve done this shit before and totally nailed it. You usually don’t have too many lines, anyway, so it’s not that bad, is it?”

God, he should have a little more backbone. He should be able to say things decisively and not just fall silent when his brothers push him like this. Actually, if he just managed to say outright that he’s sick, they wouldn’t even be saying anything like this stuff. Right now they just think it’s pre-curtain jitters, which happens, which they can usually shake him out of because they know he loves acting.

Funnily enough, even though he doesn’t have much of a spine himself, this crappy cold of his evidently thinks this is the perfect time to speak up. The congestion he’s been fighting blossoms into something insistent that he can’t ignore, and he quickly ducks his face down between his hands.

“― Hh’DSHH! Hah’DTchh! Hd’TCHHuu! Ahh’DTSCHhhoo!”

A volley of coughs rides on the tail end of the last sneeze, so much that he can barely get a breath in. Each one makes his all-over soreness sharpen for a second, unbearable pinpricks of pain across his whole body. The coughs make something in his chest crackle and it hurtsand suddenly he’d pulled into a protective hug.

Part of him wishes he could just pull away. The part of him that wants to lean into the contact wins out, allowing him to nestle into his older brother’s chest as he continues to cough.

“Shit, Karamatsu!” Osomatsu starts rubbing his little brother’s back in an attempt to help break up the fit. “The fuck, man? That sounds nasty. You coming down with something?”

Karamatsu can feel the others hovering closer, murmuring in concern among themselves. The coughs finally taper off and he scrubs at his eyes, no matter how much it hurts, even as more tears start to bubble up. “Y-yeah… I woke up sick…”

“What??” Choromatsu sounds almost like he’s been betrayed or something. “You should have stayed home! Ah… wait… wait, you walked all the way to the station from school in the rain when you already have a cold? That’s a great way to end up with a sinus infection or pneumonia! Shit, we gotta get you home…”

“Sorry…” Karamatsu manages to croak out, followed by more sniffles. Thanks to the cold air and the sneezing, his nose has started running again. “U-uh… does anyone have tissues…? I used all mine already…”

Ichimatsu starts to dig around in his pockets. “Yeah, I think I have some.”

As he hands over a small pack to his older brother, Osomatsu gives a protective squeeze. “Hey, Choro, don’t blame Karamatsu for all this. He should have said something, sure, but it’s not all on him here. We should have noticed something was up. Right? We’re his brothers.”

Karamatsu lets out a small whine of protest, pressing a tissue over his nose. It would have been nice for them to notice, but… it’s not like it’s their job. They don’t owe it to him to pay attention to him. “I-it’s not your fault…”

Before anyone else can say a word, Totty lets go of Choromatsu and darts over to circle his arms around Karamatsu’s waist. He’s sort of wedging himself between Karamatsu and Osomatsu, pretty clearly wanting to be with both of them. “Ah! We love you, Karamatsu-nii-chan!! We’ll take good care of you!”

“… Yeah,” Choromatsu chuckles. He reaches over to pat Karamatsu’s back. “I’m sorry we weren’t paying enough attention to notice you weren’t feeling well. But we’re gonna get you home and tucked into bed. And I’m sure Mom will call the drama club teacher to tell her you can’t perform tomorrow night.”

Jyushimatsu hums, and he appears to be trying very hard not to smile wide like he wants to do. “We’re probably all gonna catch it, right?”

Ichimatsu chuckles softly. “Yeah, that’s what usually happens.”

“So… we can go stomp in puddles, right? Since we’re gonna get sick anyway?”

“No, no, no,” Choromatsu immediately speaks up, “no stomping in puddles! We have to get Kara home!”

Of course, it’s too late. Jyushimatsu has run off ahead of them all, launching himself into every puddle he can find, his face switching between an irritated scowl and a borderline maniacal grin.

Totty’s still clinging to Karamatsu, snuggling against his shoulder. “We’ll all get to be sick together! That means we get to stay home from school for a couple days. We can sleep and watch movies and have a big cuddle puddle.”

Choromatsu sighs. “As long as we don’t miss the commencement ceremony, that’s okay. I guess the last few weeks of our senior year don’t matter too much with regard to schoolwork, anyway. Especially since we’re already adults.”

Another few coughs are muffled against Osomatsu’s chest, prompting everyone to give a brief stroke to Karamatsu’s back or hair. “Well, before we catch it,” Osomatsu says, “we’ve gotta get this geek home and throw his ass in bed. He’s really warm… feels like his skin’s gonna burn his clothes up. C’mon, Kara. We’ll get you wrapped up in a blanket, then maybe I can help Mom make some kayu to make you feel better.”

“Mm…” Well. That does sound pretty good. “… W-with umeboshi on top?”

“Yeah, sure! Whatever you want! And Choro can make some tea, Totty can pick out a movie, Ichi can get a cold cloth for your forehead, and Jyushi…” Osomatsu blinks and peers out where their fifth eldest is… way ahead of them. “What can Jyushi do?”

Choromatsu blows out a slow, frustrated breath. “… Stay out of the way??”

Totty giggles. “He can be the bodyguard! We’ll station him outside the room, and if any of Ichimatsu-nii-chan’s friends come by to try and take Ichimatsu-nii-chan away, Jyushi-nii-chan will scare them off!”

“Hey, yeah! That’s a good idea, Totty!”

“What? Why do you want to scare my friends away?”

“Because Karamatsu-nii-chan’s sick! They can’t drag you off somewhere when your big brother needs you! That’d be mean.”

“A-ah, hahahah… he’d be fine without me, but… I can just say no! We don’t need Jyushi to scare them away.”

“We miiiiiiight! At least, it would be funny!”

Karamatsu offers a tiny laugh, which quickly turns into another couple of coughs. He puts a weak arm around Totty and wonders how he’s going to keep his eyes open for the rest of the walk home. He thinks they’re not too far away, though.

“Thanks, guys… this… this might not be such a bad day after all…”

Ah, another lazy afternoon! Days like this put you in a good mood, the sort of afternoon you'll think of nostalgically when reminiscing good times in the years going forward. The sun filters through your sheer curtains and you're nice and comfortable.

Lying on the bed on your phones and sharing a cozy quiet time together is a common occurrence when Todomatsu comes to visit your home, with music drifting through the speakers of your smart device through Spotify with idle chatter over what you see on your screens.

“Dear, can you scoot over a bit?” Todomatsu asks pleasantly, and you take time to note the positions you’re in. Todomatsu is close to being squished against the wall, and you have your leg tucked between his own legs and your upper body cradling him. He must not be comfortable, as you think to move away your mind instantly recants what he said. You take a moment and debate if it'd be better for you to be the little spoon instead.

“Dear?” You ask, feeling all of the heat in the world flash into your body. “I didn’t say dear!” Todomatsu instantly stiffens, before gently unwrapping himself from your person.

“You’re too warm!” He grumbles, rolling away, “The heat is getting to you.”

“Ah, you’re concerned for me huh? My sweetheart,” You tease lightly with a cheesy grin, “Oh, you don’t want to start this game.” Todomatsu warns; clearly embarrassed by this situation.

The two of you are in an awkward stage in your relationship, not exactly dating but it’s not platonic anymore either. You can’t be friends with benefits unless you’ve had the benefits...But the way the two of you hold hands, how when alone your bodies are magnetized together and the way you meld together like one entity. You cling to him and he clings to you.

But you’re too scared to ask what are you? How can you take it to the next level with this unspoken promise of silence?

“I think I do, my beloved.” You over exaggerate to hide the fact that you love calling him that.

“You won’t win this game, honey-bunny~!” Despite how adorable Todomatsu’s voice is, you watch his face flash crinkle up with embarrassment once the words leave his mouth. You laugh at the sight of his face twisting up in anxiety before he shoves one of your pillows in your face.

Suddenly he’s towering over you, hitting your face with the pillow as softly as possible. Todomatsu always reacts this way when he's shy, you think blissfully.

“No fair!” You giggle as he continues to assault you. “Darling, you should never hit your loved ones!”

“Loved ones? Where?” He asks with his deadpan voice, lightly smacking you in the face with the pillow. When you hear this, you decide to tease him even more. You instantly stop laughing, and look into his big brown eyes with crocodile tears welling up. The pillow drops and Todomatsu freezes.

“You don’t love me?” You ask, voice warbling and you know you're phoning it in and acting poorly. “Totty, you’re my sunshine...please don’t tell me my feelings are unrequited?” Todomatsu’s face once again warps into something embarrassed, this time he’s holding his small hands to cover his delicately flushed features.

"Arrgh...!" You hear Todomatsu groan loudly in his hands before he murmurs something under his breath.

“Hm?” You ask, keeping the act up. “Cu...cute…” Todomatsu is nearly shaking, before he dives to embrace you.

That's unexpected!

With surprise, you instantly reach up to hug him back, inhaling his shampoo, something undeniably girly and fresh detergent. “You’re so cute!!” He holds you tighter as he almost shouts into the curve of your neck.

Todomatsu pulls away slightly to nuzzle the dip of your collarbone, and you freeze again. “Of course…” His voice muffled by the fabric of your sweater, it’s harder to hear him with the way his voice is so soft.

You’re trying hard not to be weird and just smell him but the way he’s perfumed with medley cheap strawberry scents has your head spinning in a good way. Todomatsu is so close, so cute and in your arms at the moment. Dizzy as ever you speak without comprehending anything but him.

“Of course?” You ask, voice dreamy as ever. “Of course I love you.” Todomatsu is pouting, face pressed closely to your chest as if he’s listening to your heart beat. When it speeds up at his words, Todomatsu tilts his head up to see your blushing face.

“Is this okay?” Once again the nervousness has returned to his features, your mind however is like you’ve been dunked underwater.

You were joking! Just kidding around, being a wise guy y’know? Now you’re here, with Todomatsu closing his eyes with his lips pursed.

This would be your first kiss; suddenly your hands become sweaty, and tremble while maintaining a strong grip on Todomatsu’s frame. This is happening huh? He’s expecting for you to kiss him and you’re freaking out!

You confessed first right, you’ll have to take this secret to your dying day. After ninety years of marriage, and hopefully less than six children, and a dog and a house, and...and…

Now Todomatsu’s eyebrows are twitching expectantly and you still haven’t kissed him. You take a subtle but deep breath and kiss him.

Todomatsu’s lips are soft, and you feel like you’ve just fallen through a hole - on the other side you’ll be an entirely new person with new experiences. You're not sure if you'll be an adult afterwards, or maybe still just you with a small amount of new knowledge.

One of the newest bits of information you learn is kissing feels blissful. His lips taste exactly like he smells, something tells you he’s gotten an inexpensive set of the perfume, body wash and lipgloss.

If you weren’t in love before, those ambiguous feelings sure feel certain at the moment.

Your lips linger, and when Todomatsu pulls back he licks his. You shiver, and look away.

“I told you wouldn’t win, angel.” And how could you against this charming devil? You sheepishly kiss him again, and again turning your not-friends with benefits into something else. Something much sweeter.
