Once again Egmont listed this as a Blot lead story, and whilst I agreed last time I don't think I do this time around. Just like the last one the Blot is very little in it, but in this one we don't really see it from his point of view either. The last one would often have little bits of "narration" by the Blot, which made it feel like he was the lead. This one only did it once at the start of part 2 (and it honestly felt really out of place!).

Another Oceana crime song: She asked me to send the Oceana series. Probably enough for a musical in Vegas if she could get sober and my kids could be kindly negotiated home. I'm not that ambitious. Oceana can sing and dance well but she needs to be committed to Divine service for me To work with her. I work work work.... Writers like me don't fall from the sky. I cultivated my craft always- not for buck- to sculpt myself as an artist. I know I need the buck but am just not willing to hook. Even marriage ideally is entered with dignity and awareness. Any venture needs sacred respect to catch me. xo

So much has happened. Yesterday we went to The Row to support Hatty at Maum. We got in line for pizza at Bianco b/c a line was already forming before the restaurant opened. After taking turns entertaining the girls we got in. We were like, there’s no way it lives up to the hype. I mean come on, its pizza. But wow it really lived up to the hype. I didn’t watch the Netflix documentary but Jason described the legend and I knew enough to assume that this was like God’s gift to man in pizza form or something crazy like that. So I had high expectations too. But seirously I was blown away by how delicious it was. We liked the New York style thin pizzas the best. And I was shocked but I may have liked the Salami the best (which is usually not my thing). But upon further consideration I think I would love to just eat the regular old Margherita. Everything else was good (the lemon, the sicilian, the green one, etc.) but the tomato sauce was so good. and the crunch was so satisfying on the thin pizza that’s what I’d want to eat over and over again.
We couldn’t get into Maum b/c the line was too long so we dropped off a box of pizza for Hatty and bounced. Jason mentioned that his friends were playing pickelball and asked if we wanted to stop by. I said yeah let’s do it. We kind of waffled on whether to go or not because we weren’t sure if the timing would even work out but we did. We go and its actually a ton of fun. Jen was there so she and I played, while trying to avoid hitting the kids lol. But Dani wanted water so I took her to the car to get her water but when I get back Jen runs up and she’s like Jason got hurt. I was like .. no. because Pete had just gotten injured a few weeks prior. I walk over and Jason is like I think I tore my achilees. I feel the back of his heel on his normal leg, and it feels normal but I feel the heel on his other leg and its just mushy. No bone/tendon. We immediately go to my mom’s (after a miscommunication w/ my mom) and then realize she’s at our house so we go home and my mom watches the girls while we go to the ER. Man I felt pretty dirty after being at the hospital b/c there was a homeless guy there that smelled so bad. and there were people who were yelling out in pain. it was just a weird vibe. they warned us it could take a long time so I went to get everyone homestate, dropped it off for jason and then went home to relieve my mom. also jason’s phone died so he wanted to keep my phone to stave off his boredom but also so I could contact him. I felt so naked driving around w/o my phone in the minivan b/c I couldn’t look directions up. I just had to trust my memory (which it was easy to do given we know the Kaiser Sunset so well but still).
I get home, relieve my mom, put the girls to sleep, and then wait. Eventually I go back to get Jason and he’s waiting with crutches. He has to basically jump on one leg up all of our stairs (our house is so not ADA compliant) and he’s sleeping on the couch right now because it would be too hard for him to sleep in either of the girls’ rooms without waking them up with his crutches. At first I thought I should sleep on the couch b/c I didn’t see how he could go get dani but he said he could just use the crutches to go into her room and then throw her on the bed lol. But we realized he can just take her out of the crib and then she can walk on her own.
Today I took the girls to church and jason stayed home and oh my god it was not fun. I couldn’t focus on any convo because dani was just a menace at the table. I was terrified whenever she grabbed one of the ceramic plates, sure she was going to throw it down on the ground and send shards flying. But lunch was actually super delicious. I’m already craving the tomato and egg with hand cut noodles. I might try to make tomato and egg this week.
After we went to get boba and then ofc dani poops. so we walk over to a courtyard area with a bathroom but I have to carry dani the whole time. In total after we got there, I changed dani’s diaper 2x (thank god for trudy providing us with wipes and diapers) and I took naya (and wes haha) to the bathroom 3x. The whole time was just a brief intermission between going to the bathroom.
I felt spent by the time we got home but had to do some work. I’m scared that there’s going to be a lot of work this week since people are really going to be back from vacation now. But just got to face it head on.
Also I really hope the ortho calls soon so Jason can go in and ask for the surgery. We both want him to get it because it seems like the recovery time is shorter and recovery is more assured. Johnny or Paul was saying today that they know someone who tore their ACL like 3x. Tore it once and then every time they tried to take their boot off it would just re-tear again. I don’t want that for Jason. It seems like if you just do natural healing, you just have to hope your tendon re-attaches together and it eventually heals, which could take like a full year. What a weird thing to happen. Stiill doesn’t feel fully real.

Questo signore nato a Liverpool suonava la batteria e si unì con dei suoi coetanei formando un gruppo di imitatori di Elvis Presley ed avendo anche un discreto successo personale perché era considerato quello che ci sapeva fare con le ragazze, poi nel 1962 di punto in bianco li lasciò perché decise che avrebbe avuto più successo da solo che in quel gruppo.
Li lasciò anche in un momento complicato perché avevano già prenotato a Londra la sala d'incisone per registrare il loro primo 45 giri, costringendoli a chiamare in tutta fretta un altro batterista (sempre di Liverpool) per coprire il vuoto lasciato.
I tre compagni si chiamavano : John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison e il batterista preso al volo era Ringo Starr, il complesso invece si chiamava The Beatles.
Ecco oggi rendiamo omaggio a colui che lasciò i Beatles 5 minuti prima di diventare quello che poi sono diventati e per questo è passato alla storia.

What about the right to do what we want with our bodies when we are not at work. Think of the administrative costs that could be saved if we just removed drug testing. Our experience and work ethic should mean more that what we do with our free time. This is not a problem at all companies. There are places in this country where it is near impossible anywhere in your area to get hired without a drug screening. One joint on a random Saturday night could keep someone from a great opportunity. A person in pain who reaches for an edible might miss out on the job that saves their lives.

The Oscars were held on April 25. It was a bit of a yawner and why would a show set themselves up for an awkward end?? There was a commercial from P&G right before the broadcast that stated, “ Widen the screen so we can widen our view.” Nice sentiment. Mank had so many noms and only 2 wins. People looking their best to me were Leslie Odom Jr., Glenn Close, Riz Ahmed, LaKeith Stanfield, Colman Domingo, John Batiste, Mia Neal, Questlove (gold crocs and a mask!), Desmond Roe, Travon Free, Trish Summerville, Marlee Matlin, The Lucas Brothers, Andra Day, Carey Mulligan, Amanda Seyfried, Nicolette Robinson, Regina King and Margot Robbie. Laura Dern looked like Big Bird, there were just too many feathers. Tiara Thomas had feathers but they looked great. Angela Bassett had some power sleeves and Tyer Perry looked like a little boy. Hooray for Emerald Fennell for her win for original screenplay but not sure about the dress. And Viola Davis?? Dana Murray?? Ashley Fox?? Hmm?? Winners seemed to have trouble getting to the stage. They often refused the steps or the walkway and sort of climbed up the side. I did love the intimate setting and it did remind me of the old clips of years before. Sound of metal and Ma Rainey both won. Tyler Perry and for the first time, an organization, the motion picture and television fund, took home the humanitarian award. I was thrilled to see My Octopus Teacher win for Doc. I loved Crip Camp too, that was a hard category. The acting winners went in all directions. Many critics complained that the films were real downers . Nomadland won best picture. Michael Moore put it best I think. Of the films this year, he said, “They force you to look backward with 2021 eyes.”

Attenzione, essendo una review personale ci saranno spoiler. Non leggere se li odi, io li amo <3
Che dire? Io sto ancora piangendo per questo episodio e la foto principale esprime tutto il mio disappunto. Korn ha sbagliato. Lo scrivo in grassetto perché non voglio essere fraintesa da nessuno. Ha tradito e di molto oserei dire. Si fosse fermato a un bacio, forse forse le cose non sarebbero andate così male, ma finire a letto con un altro, cacchiarola diventa difficile passarci sopra. Nonostante questo io non riesco a essere arrabbiata con lui. Insomma, ne ha passate tante o no? prima di tutto, ha un fidanzato demente, che pensa solo a sé stesso, ai giochini sul telefono, manco si mette via le cose da lavare e non ha nemmeno soldi nel portafoglio. Il padre sempre sull'attenti, pronto a scoprire se effettivamente tra Korn e Knock ci sia una relazione, perché se così fosse apriti cielo, tu non esisti più per me e io per te. Al lavoro le cose vanno bene, ma i colleghi non sono i migliori. Comprendiamolo dunque se ha sbagliato, se si è lasciato andare. Ricordiamoci poi di Pete, il capo appiccicoso che non si sa bene se vuole Korn o Knock... e secondo me questo melodramma in cui il suo fidanzato è “morto” mi sa molto di bugia colossale!
Quindi, dopo tutto questo, io non me la sento di giudicare male Korn. Ha sempre fatto del suo meglio per far andare bene le cose, mentre Knock ha solo continuato a rompere sul’essere sincero con i loro genitori, quando in realtà gli unici genitori in grado di comprendere sono solo quelli Knock. Avrebbe dovuto avere l’accortezza di capire il disagio di Korn, quanto le parole di suo padre fossero brutali per lui, invece lo ha sempre e solo attaccato.
Detto questo, la scena spezza il cuore. Max e Tul sono talmente bravi che faccio fatica a non pensare a loro come una vera coppia (immaginare è ancora gratis). Quando Knock ha detto “lasciamoci” mi si è rotto qualcosa dentro. La scena è struggente e, nonostante Knock abbia tutta la ragione dalla sua, fatico comunque a credere che si possano davvero lasciare.
Passando oltre, Yihwa è stata baciata da P Art e ovviamente non ha detto no. Ora, ovviamente qualcuno penserà che non sono dalla parte di Yihwa perché è una ragazza. Invece non è questo il motivo XD adoro Yihwa, anche se in questa stagione ha perso un po’ della sua forza combattiva della stagione precedente. La storia con Cho è decisamente piatta, come se stessero insieme da dieci anni. Non posso scusare Yihwa perché, a differenza di Korn che deve vedersela con un Knock svogliato, Cho è più che presente, sempre dolce e premuroso, che ok magari lavora un sacco, ma non le ha mai mancato di rispetto. Yihwa non ha i problemi di Korn e, anche se in realtà non si è capito se effettivamente è andata a letto con P Art o meno, con Cho ha sempre chiesto del tempo per “quello”. Penso sia difficile scusare una persona dopo tutto questo, giusto? Poi penso che ci si debba trovare in queste situazioni, ma a primo impatto le prove non sono a favore di Yihwa.
Arriviamo poi a Farm e Bright. Mi sembrava di rivedere la scena del stagione precedente, loro due nella vasca da bagno, ma stavolta Bright nei panni di Farm. Ho però visto un certo cambiamento nel volto di Farm quando Bright ha cancellato l’app, facendogli così intendere che ha deciso di mettere la testa a posto e stare solo con lui. Il problema è che c’è Rit di mezzo e nel teaser dell’episodio 9 ho visto una scena che non mi è piaciuta per nulla. Spero seriamente che non facciano cretinate con lui.
Cosa non ho tollerato:
- la presenza di WanWan e le cattiverie gratuite dette a caso. Lei è il personaggio fastidio femminile che non dovrebbe esistere sulla terra. È loro fan perché amministra la pagina facebook della loro ship, ma allo stesso tempo spera che Knock diventi suo? C’è qualquadra che non cosa.
Cosa non tollero in generale:
- che il tradimento sia alla base di questa stagione. Tutti noi volevamo un continuo, ma non così, non con dei tradimenti inutili che fanno sembrare i personaggi dei perfetti imbecilli. Credo sia stupido, anche se molti pensano che la vita reale a volte è così. Certo, lo è, ovviamente, ma dopo una stagione, o due se contiamo anche Bad Romance, a farci amare dei personaggi, a farli crescere e maturare, fa ridere pensare che poi debbano rovinarsi in questo modo, quando dovrebbero essere in grado di fare scelte intelligenti. L’idea di far tradire Korn è stata messa solo per rendere il personaggio più umano, o così mi è sembrato di capire, ma c’era bisogno? non aveva già abbastanza problemi? inoltre che motivo avrebbe una persona così innamorata di tradire e fare addirittura del sesso, solo perché il fidanzato te lo nega. Non è da Korn, è assurdo solo pensarlo. Knock sì, da lui si poteva anche pensare.
Lo stesso ovviamente vale per Yihwa. Io non ho visto Bad Romance quindi non posso giudicare molto, ma la vedevo come una ragazza seria che sa cosa vuole già in Together With Me The Series, come può essere impazzita di punto in bianco?
Insomma, inutile perderci troppe parole, ormai mancano pochi episodi e non so ancora come andranno le cose. Il lieto fine hanno detto che ci sarà, ma davvero possiamo definirlo così?
