Is such an important phrase to me, because I remember being interested in plants and wanting to know how to identify them, or even what morphological features to look out for. And sure, one can learn the language to describe plants: Alternate or opposite leaves, learn all the parts of a flower, glabrous, tomentose or whatever. But like, you eventually just get to a skill level of "That's in the pea family" because it looks like everything else in the pea family. "Does that one have square stems" you ask, because you know it does because it's fucking mint. I've come through the other side of "you can tell by the way it is" and this video has been with me the entire time. It's fucking hilarious because of how true it is.

I also have been thinking about how an individuals hobbies are a really strong force against the influx of machine-learning produced media. I know that I can see a plant and go "that's not real" in the same way a fabric artist can see a crocheted octopus and refute it. Developing these skills is how we will, as a community, lessen the harm to the people being exploited by the people using machine-learning to create these products.

ok something that's been happening to me with tumblr recently that I'm wondering if it's happening to anyone else:

Up until, say, yesterday, if I clicked the Publish button, it would post without tags. Now, the cursor changes when hovering as if it's a functioning button, but I can't actually press it. I can only press Add tags.

The only way to post without tags now is to save the post as a draft and post it from the drafts folder, where the Post without tags? pop up does come up.

I thought it might be because I recently installed AdGuard, but when I disabled it to check, it didn't fix anything. Maybe just having it downloaded at all causes it.

Is there anyone else on here who uses AdGuard who has this glitch? Or who uses Safari without AdGuard and also just got the glitch recently?
