I think Grace being okay with committing massive idolatry in order to spread her ideals of chastity is very telling of her relationship with religion. Something something fundamentalist Christianity is actually more about strictly controlling both your own and other people's behavior than it is about your relationship to the divine

okay but as horrifying as that was to experience its good to know I was right on the money with finn and his sex books. being on the surface was literally the first time in his 150 years of life that he had the chance to explore himself and his romantic/sexual preferences without consequence. for 150 years he was forced to abide by the undersea's VERY STRICT laws by punishment of death. but he can't get in trouble for any undersea laws he violates on the surface -- and even if the oversea had those same laws (they don't) who gives a shit? finn's already a pirate! he breaks the law every day! of course he'd take that opportunity, to FINALLY understand more about himself. to FINALLY understand why he's felt the way he has for so long. of course he would.

mr davidson is like, 50< in my mind. he might be balding, in which case we dont really have a hairstyle for him. but i stumbled upon this one and i just felt like itd fit him a lot

cj and miah are brothers but they keep getting mistaken for each other because of the hair. they both dont wanna change their hair (the entire jeff blim family likes to look pretty, w/ the exception of miah and hidgens), so theyll just have to make do. less messy than miah because he isnt in a hurry thank god

Recently Rewatched Black Friday (Starkid) with one of my very close friends, and the WHOLE time I was talking (Extending the musical to around 4 hours oops) and now I can't stop thinking about doing a Black Friday Rewrite....

There are so so so many things that could have been very good, but it just. Falls short. And don't get me wrong, I like the musical, but some of it justtttt... Feels like a chore to get through to get to the good bits. And that is something that should Never happen, because the musical itself is SO good when it's Good.

I might post about it more if I feel so inclined, it's just a shame that it wasn't as good as it could have been.

Also Robert Manion (Who I have no fucking respect for, may he fucking burn as he deserves) was SEVERELY miscast as Ethan, something I thought even before the Proven Allegations came out.
