This is a completely stupid question about elf lore and I apologize for how stupid and out of nowhere it is.

Do elves have appendixes?

According to available lore, when it comes to organs, elven physiology/biology - aside from their skulls/eyes/ears - seems to be very similar to that of humans. Nothing in DnD or FR lore suggests anything concrete officially in regards to whether or not elves differ in the case of organs. Any material suggesting otherwise is homebrew or fan lore. So whether or not elves have appendixes is totally up to player interpretation!

I would reason that elves evolved beyond the need for an appendix (or whatever they would have called the organ), being an ultimately optional organ to have in the body (in relation to being able to function) since their evolution is leagues ahead of humans - but then again, an in tact appendix has been linked to a longer lifespan, so since elves live an extraordinarily long time, perhaps the complete opposite is true in that their appendixes are *more* vital to their bodily functions than that of humans and other mammals, and could even be larger/differently shaped. Could go either way!
