Walking through the forest I noticed several things, parts of the scorpions that were covered in moss and leaves, like it was abandoned and nature took over, which it did. I noticed and arrow with a particular colored feathers, I smirked knowing who it is from. “Let’s head out!” Quaritch said, I stood up huffing as I head over to the chopper to notice a child? “What the hell?!” I blurt out “even I said the same thing,” Lyle spoke, I was shocked to see young human boy out in the forest, he was scared out of his mind and I don’t blame him. Once the squad was back they inhumanly testing on him like he was some kind of animal and it was disgustin, he even had a nose bleed, it made my blood boil.

“God! The rda gets even more fucking sick testing on a damn child,” i grunted in anger, Quaritch comes back with a annoyed grumble “couldn’t even get the boy to talk,wonder what the kids knows,” quaritch says “really?! That’s what the fuck you’re worried about what the fuck he fuckin knows when they’re over here testing on him! He’s damn child you idiot!” I argued, he just stood there with his arms crossed not seeming to care, of course he didn’t he will never change. I walked breathing into my mask, “kid? Come out” I said gently, I peaked under the table that he was hiding under.

“Can i talk to you?” I ask.

He glances at me with fear but curiosity, he was hesitan, “my name is Gwen, may I ask yours?” I ask, “spider” he answered, “cool name spider,” I smirked, he glances at me a few times nervously before standing up, he had blue stripes over his body which told me a lot, he was with and raised by sully. “Are you okay?” I ask he nods looking down “I know those jackasses did some horrible shit to you, I won’t let them touch you, you’re only a child and they could careless of that they only want answers out of you,” I said “I wouldn’t say answers,” quaritch said and when he came spider went into hiding again.

I huff in annoyance “great your ugly ass scared him,” I roll my eyes “aye I only walked,” he said “that’s enough to scare anybody,” I said nonchalantly, “come out spider,” I said, he stood up glancing between us, “I’ll tell you what, if you tell us what we need.. you’re free but if not I will have to give you up to the lab coats,” Quaritch said, “more like the jackasses that want to be scientist,” I said “why do I feel like I know you?” Spider says to me confused as he stares trying to figure out the feeling.

“You ain’t the only one who said that,” I said standing up.

“Come on,” I said to him he instantly follows and shocked Quaritch on how spider listened to me so easily, he couldn’t even get him to speak to him nor move front he table. Later that night I stood with spider as he taught me the na’vi language, I loved their language it was really cool and fluorescent. Spider smiled as I spoke a sentence in na’vi “did I get it right?” I ask “almost there,” he smirked I chuckle, he gasps looking at my arm “that tattoo!” He points to my gun tattoo I have on my arm “what about it?” I ask confused, “I seen that before on somebody else, wait!” He springs up running to the screen “hey-wait don’t touch anything,” I got up “do they have any logs, of any of you guys?” He asks “old logs when I was human yea?” I answered raising a brow, “gwen-gwen-there look!” He points “yea that’s my gun tattoo I have it’s my first tattoo I got had another tattoo with a butterfly tattoo on my back see,” I show him, “woah-cool” he gasps.

“Hold on I think I can find it,” he says searching through the logs, till he comes across a specific log, “when I grew up they always showed me these videos of you,” he said, it was a video of me pregnant. My eyes widen slowly as I watch the video. “I can’t believe it! 9 months pregnant about to it to give birth any moment!” I squealed, I rub my belly “I still haven’t thought of a name, but I thought of a cool nickname..spider, I just hope it’s a boy,” I said, my eyes fill with tears “spider? Wait that means you’re my" I paused “son… yea, your my mom” he begins to smile “I… I was pregnant? That’s one of the memories I don’t remember,” I said covering my mouth trying to hold on my tears, spider frowns “why?” He asks “because I died,” I said I couldn’t believe it, I look for my biography in hopes to find the exact reason of my death because I cannot go farther then that.

Reason for death: Birth

“Oh my god!” I blurted out, “you died.. giving birth to me?” He looks at me I nodded, “oh, and you’ve been out here by yourself and I was gone,” I tear up “I wasn’t alone, they took care of me,” he says “but I missed half of my baby boys life,” I said, “but it’s not your fault,” he said, I sighed “if only” I sat down, “if only what?” He asks walking to me “if only I would’ve been able to hold you, I would be happy with that,” I said, “if you were.. able to go back you your avatar body, would you go back?” He asks I shake my head. “I’m better in this one then that, a new me, still with a bit of old but I feel new, not messed up with all that bullshit,” I said, “but I just now got something even more better out of being back to life, I got you now, I know Jake sully raised you or Atleast helped,” I said he nods, “he raised you good, just thankful he was able to take you in because I don’t know where you would be and that’s scary,” I sighed.

“I’m right here, with you I’m safe, that’s all that matters,” he says.

I smiled softly “alright let’s get some rack,” I shake his head standing up. The next day had a three squad of my old friend, Allen, ellice, and raven, they never changed always my goofy people with to much humor, they were the first and only ones to tell that spider is my son, they were shocked but happy, they instantly took spider in as their nephew. “Boy you are strong, these lab rats don’t care about shit,” raven said “sure don’t” I said shaking my head, I put my crop top on, “alright come on,” I said. “Hey um you think they’ll let you out of here?” He asks “I could why?” I ask, “I wanna show you something on the mountains,” he says “the hallelujah mountains?” I ask raising a brow he nodded, “I’ll see, I have to report to the so call boss,” I huff.

“Corporal” Carmella said, “what you need?” I ask, “we need to get some indication on the na’vi and where Jake sully is,” she said my face instantly went into annoyance, “hope you like choppers,” I said to spider “fox, let’s load out,” I said, Quaritch and the others were looking over in confusion, “woah where you think you’re going?” Lyle questions with a cocky smirk, “going for a hunt,” I said, raven and the rest came out with their guns. “Oh what change your mind?” Quaritch rose a brow, “don’t worry about it, let’s go,” I said as we leave, spider puts his mask on and we head to the chopper, I noticed the boys heading in their chopper as well.

“Let’s go!” I said, and we took off, “are you really hunting Jake?” Spider asks nervously I smirk “tuhh! No” I said bluntly, “you’d figure everybody here would learn their lesson on stop fucking with these people but no,” ellice said with a smirk, “plus, we got these awesome bodies in tryna keep it,” raven said “damn right, can’t do shit in our human bodies,” I said they laughed, “so we’re playing their game for a while,” I said, “that’s smart,” spider smirks a little “and you gotta play song with it too, you’re the key to what they want,” I said.

“Play along and we can make sure they don’t touch you,” Allen spoke.

Once we landed pulled my crossbow out, “what is that?” He asks pointing at my crossbow “a crossbow, kinda similar to the og bow but this one you can just shoot, I don’t have my old bow I used to have,” I said, “alright listen up we have to go in na’vi,” Quaritch says, I almost snickered, once he started speaking na’vi I knew how this was gonna go “go full na’vi huh, how the hell you’re gonna go na’vi with that on and two face fingers and three your na’vi language is a pain to everybody’s ears,” I said, the girls laughed. Spider even laughed “what she said?” Lyle asks spider, “your na’vi language is a pain to everybody’s ears,” spider said, I shake my head with a grin “well we got out ourselves interpreters,” Quaritch said.

“Spider come on,” I said spider follows, as we go through the forest, I looked around, “can I show you the mountains now?” He asks “not yet,” I said, we all looked up to see the prolemuris swinging around “prolemuris, AYE!” I jumped when one landed on me, “you’re animal whisperer now Gwen,” Allen cackles “oh shut up, come on get,” I said the prolemuris leaps off of my to the tree to follow the rest of the group. “How can you find them in this big forest?” Spider asks, “we’re just scoping out some small areas nothing to big,” raven said, “you can just get an ikran,” he said i stopped “ikran? Those flying things?” I ask he nods “it’s on the hallelujah mountains isn’t it?” He nodded.

“Alright let’s go,” I said, but we didn’t realize we left Quaritch squad by themselves, “wait a minute where’s the rest of them?” One of them asks looking around “corporal? Where you at?” Quaritch asks on comms I gasp “I think we left them,” I said.

The the slowly rising ringing in her ear as she slightly wakes up, groaning she sees blurry figures in front of her, she gasps instantly jolting him hissing before she was grabbed “amiya! Hey hey calm down,” one of the guys said “you’re okay, calm down,” somebody else said “who the fuck are? What are you- what’s going on?” She questioned glaring at them “you died and now you’re brought back as one of those savages,” one of the marines said I raise a brow looking down I notice my hands were blue, not… white? I’m an avatar?! How did this happen, I thought… I died? “How did-I died-what the fuck!” I freak out.

“Well why don’t you asks these scientists they’re the main ones who thought you back,” one said with his arms crossed. “Besides you have other things to worry about, you’re back and that’s what matters,” one of them said, I huff, after changing I wore s green crop top with a army cargo pants, my hair was out. Al I could do was stare at my new self, being an avatar… it feels weird, having a tail and cat ears, it’s actually cool, I cannot see what the others fucking crying like weak bitches see, I was brought to the main area where the other avatar people that were brought back as well were.

I stood off in the corner not wanting to be around them, “we have been brought back as our former enemy,” a familiar voice spoke, soon a man walks into view leaving me wide eyed, “we’ll find them and destroy them and everything they know,” quaritch said menacingly, I couldn’t believe my eyes it was him he was back too!!! I stood off in the back watching everyone and didn’t feel comfortable nor didn’t want to be around them so I leave walking down the hall, “lost young lad?” He questions making me stop in my tracks, i looked forward before turning my head “why would I be?” I ask sarcastically, “I feel like I know you, you look very familiar,” he says, “we’ll keep feeling maybe you’ll actually see,” i sassed and attempted to leave to leave till he grabs my arm yanking me back “you smart talking me girl?!” He hissed “yea and what about it… don’t talk to me like I’m one of your bitches in that room, they maybe sucking your dick every damn day but I sure as hell ain’t one of em, so I suggest you let me go before I snap your jaw off your skull killing you again and making sure you don’t come back the next time!” I threatened harshly, the boys ooed snickering around as quaritch only gave me a smirk and let me go.

But I elbowed him in the stomach making him wince grunting in pain, I walked away angrily.

The next few days I was watching videos of the old me, I couldn’t believe I was brought back to life because of this sick humanity, storing my memory just to make a puppet! It angered me so much, I looked out looking around the forest, noises came from above and the men aimed their guns at the prolemuris “scared of prolemuris?” I smirked shaking my head, they side eyed me but I could careless because it wasn’t my fault they were really a bunch of pussies that claim their the top dawgs. I walk forward and look around, i come across a old shack or something, I went over there and looked around and went inside my eyes go wide realizing this is the school. The school they shot innocent children, “what is this place?” One asked “you should fuckin know what it is,” I said with a snappy tone.

“Watch the attitude,” he said, “or fuckin what?!” I walked up to him he aimed his gun at me but I continued walking forward “if you can’t fight me fist to fist like a real man then you shouldn’t be existing, all y’all know is shoot, so scared to loose a fight so y’all shoot,” I said …

Chapter 6

In the morning spider was looking around, he walks into his aunties quarters “hey have y’all seen mom?” He asks “naw kid, she didn’t come in the room at all last night,” Raven answered putting her gun her hoister, he leaves looking for her. Searching through the lab she was now where to be found neither Quaritch, so he walks over to his room, he quietly opens the door and walks in, once he peeled behind the wall he sees his mother and father both in the bed asleep, he started to smile a little. Quaritch begins to wake up and his eyes were upon me till he glances up he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him but once he looks back again he flinches from seeing spider standing by the wall, “how long have you been standing there?” He asks, “I just came in, I was looking for mom but I guess found her,” spider smirks.

He huffs shaking his head “learn how to knock,” he said, he leans up before slapping my hip “alright wake up,” he said tiredly “shut up” she mumbles shifting in her sleep “don’t tell me to shut up woman get up,” he shakes her head she opens her eyes groaning before pausing “spider-what the hell are you doing?” She asks “nothing I was looking for you,” he smirks as he leaves, I huff then glance at quaritch who chuckled “what’s funny?” I question as I get up, “I wasn’t laughin,” he said, I got dressed but Quaritch pulls me back by my tail making my eyes go wide “get back here you little kitty cat,” he says, “ughh don’t call me that it’s so cringey,” I scoff, I walk away “oh you’ll like it,” he smirked, I leave out heading to the lab, “gwen, been looking for you, we got some intel on sully,” Raven said “what?” What’s going on?” I ask she grabs my wrist taking me to the corner “they’ve relocated far from the forest,” she informs, “good, they it’s best for them,” I sighed, “how are we gonna deal with the rda? The more we rebel the more suspicious they get and they can put us down?” She asks worriedly “I don’t know but.. I gotta get spider out of this,” I huff “gotta figure something out sooner or later,” I shake my head looking down.

I walked outside to see Quaritch teaching spider how to play basketball, “so.. you didn’t come back in the quarters last night, you and Quaritch had some fun?” Allen asks i chocked on my water “hell no! What the fuck Allen,” the girls snickered, I roll my eyes “we didn’t do shit, so y’all can stop the you’re little foolery,” I said, I sat down and laid my head on raven’s lap, “make sure to beat that asshole’s ass spider!” Ellice shouts I smirk with a snicker “ why don’t you get you’re ass up and play since you’re all talk,” he said, “ohhh I don’t wanna do ya old man,” we laughed.

As they play I just sat and watch spider and quaritch interact with each other, this is one of the first times I’ve seen Quaritch act like a person and not a puppet. He was being him, smiling and everything, i would wish this for him then anything else but I can only convince him for so long till it’s his finals decision on what he wants, me and the girls jumped when the boys sprayed water on us “you fucking asshole!” I scoff, they laughed, later on groan wincing in pain that was in my chest, I could hardly breath, “you alright?” Allen asks “yea god this chest pain is killing me,” I huff, “probably needs some meds,” she said, I walk to the lab wincing, “what’s wrong?” Spider asks “nothing just having chest pain randomly,” I answered.

I huff taking some pills before sitting down at the table by spider “so how you feelin?” I ask, “fine, dad taught me how to make a 3 pointer,” he smiled “nice, how do you feel, about your dad?” I ask nervously, “he’s… good, I mean I wouldn’t think he would, accept me he would disown me… after being kinda alone i just wished you both were here,” he says “I know, you’re dad could’ve been here longer then me if he wasn’t a hard ass, I don’t know how to get through his big head,” I said “do you ever think if you and dad could get.. back. Together?” He asks hesitant of the answer because he knows how much I was very overprotective of him against his dad, I didn’t want him to be just like him nor end up the rda’s puppet, but them getting together again, that was our of the question…. Is It? I only dreamed of us being together, being happy and living a free life on Pandora away from the rda and their bullshit, but that’s only a dream to be honest.

“I don’t know, don’t think so, the way he is, it’s..mm” I bit my lip, it’s hard to talk about it even more. He looks down saddened “but I wouldn’t mind being friends with him I just can’t be with him,” I said, he nodded. After dinner I stood in a certain room to look at my old logs, it hurts to see how I was when I first got there but I love for when I changed, it was a lot better. “Reminiscing on the past?” Quaritch comes in “spider’s asleep?” I ask he nods “yea knocked out figured playing basketball wore him out,” he said, “surprised you ain’t knocked out old man,” I said “yea whatever i ain’t old,” he sat down, “you really never gave up that hairstyle,” he says, “what about it? That’s my go too,” I said, he grins “mhm, I be telling everytime to just let your damn hair down for once,” he said “and I did once,” he chuckles.

“You want to go fly around for a little?” He asks.

“Why?” I ask “what just to have some fun,” he smirks getting up, is Jake my head silently laughing as I get up. Flying through the sky it feels so beautiful and refreshing to see the forest at night and how it glows, earth was never like that even before it was destroyed by buildings and wars and pollution.

I giggle watching Quaritch chase after me “imma get you somehow,” he smirks “I’ll like to see you try,” I chuckle.

🎶“lately I’ve been-I’ve been loosing sleep… dreaming about the things that we could be… but baby I’ve been-I’ve been prayin hard.. said no more counting dollars.. we’ll be counting stars…”🎶

I fly down laughing he lifts me up making me squeal with laughter, “stawwp” I giggle he smiled carrying me inside over his shoulder, “miles put me down right now,” I said, “nope” he smirks, we ended up in his room apparently and now he puts me down I run to leave but he grabs my tail “aye let my tail go,” I jumped he pulls me back “get back here you little rascal,” he said, I scoff he wraps his arms around my waist sighing in content. “Why am I in your room?” I ask cocking a brow, “what scared Ian gone bite ya,” he smirked I shake my head at his foolishness. “Even an avatar you are still sooo fine,” I chuckle “don’t think this is a way for you to get your way with me Quaritch,” I said “back to Quaritch? Whaaat nooo,” he fake pouts, I roll my eyes “I’m serious, you look just like you, that’s sexy bomb ass women I married,” he said pecking my lips teasingly, I stared at him not sure if I should take the bait, but you only live twice? I guess, I kiss back leaving him shocked, his grip tightened pulling me closer to his chest.

We were half way up the vines, with Quaritch still lost, “we’ll get them later, let’s get these ikrans,” I said, “shiit don’t gotta tell me twice,” raven smirks, once we reach the top we looked around “why we’re really high up,” Allen said, “their over there but the thing is you must choose one and it will choose you but it will try to kill you,” spider explains, “how wonderful,” I said peak and see all these different ikran’s just chilling till they spotted me but didn’t try to attack. One particular black ikran turns it body hissing at me, I hiss back, it preyed around about ready to pounce, I dodge to the right leaped on to its back, “come on Gwen!” Raven shouts, “you gotta make the bond!” Spider shouted.

I grunted trying to hold its head down, it’s screeched and begins to fly “oh shit!” I quickly grabbed the que and made the bond but the ikran took off, “fuck!” I yelled, “fucking fly straight!” I yelled and it did just that, my eyes snap wide, “yes-YESSS!” I cheered, “where is she?” Allen looks over trying to find me, “fucking hell” Raven nervously says but they all jumped when I rose up with my ikran’s “LETS FUCKING GOOO!” I yelled “ayyyyeee look at you!” Ellice smirks, “y’all better come on before take off without y’all,” I chuckle. Once they all got their ikran’s I press my comm button “almost forgot we still gotta get them,” I roll my eyes as I landed spider can get on.

“Where are they?” Ellice asks.

“Dipshit squad where y’all at?” Raven asks. “Oh just trying to figure where the hell y’all went?!” Lyle raged, “Ohhh don’t start crying like a baby head to the hallelujah mountains unless ya scared,” I said, “whatever,” we all laughed as we flew around, “this is so much fun! God to really be one of them,” Raven said “I know right I don’t know what the hell the rda is fucking thinking,” I said. we spotted Quaritch and his squad climbing up the vines “wait is that them?” Lyle asks, “let’s gooooo!” I shouted flying above them “good luck, you’re gonna need it,” I smirked Quaritch just smirks shaking his head. Once we met up again they got their ikran’s too, “come on spider, let’s go,” I said, he climbs on and I take off.

“So… what your life like before you came here?” Spider asks, “ehh I would say boring, there’s nothing back on earth, it’s dead,” I said “dead? What do you mean?” He asks, quaritch walks along the halls till he reaches her room, he ends up peaking looking inside, “earth is dead because of us, we destroyed it with all these wars, inflation, racism, colonization, the animals extinct, no trees, no plants no nothing, just bricks, oils, and just death, it’s not like Pandora,” I sighed, “why did they never took care of it?” He asks “because the rda and the fucking government is selfish, I was out there fighting an old man gawdamn battles none of the presidents, leaders or anybody like them never got their ass up on the front line, it’s always us, they trained us to be cold hearted killing machines, trained to only follow orders and not break them, they… if I was givin an order to kill a child I would have to execute the order, don’t ask just do, that’s darkest part about that it can fuck you up mentally but I woken up and realized I fucked become a navy seals black operative,” I said, spider frowns, “I was a black op and those are the big dawgs not like a marine, they deal with the big shit,and… I kinda liked I was the boss, get to tell orders and be the badass I wanted to be but not everything is greener on the other side,” I sighed.

“Are you..still like that?” Spider asks fiddling with his fingers “hell no, once I found I was pregnant with you it changed me hella a lot more then I was already changing, that life ain’t safe for a child to be in, war and stuff no, I did not want this for you, but I couldn’t do anything else because I died giving birth to you,” I said “I’m sorry,” he says with his head down, “why are you apologizing?” I ask “it’s my fault you died,” he said I nudge his chin to make him look up at me, “it wasn’t your fault, I gave you life, that’s all that matters..but in return I’ve became reborn into a new life that’s actually amazing being an avatar is cool you can’t do the stuff they do in this body, riding and ikran seeing the beauty of pandora it was everything,” I smiled, he smiles a little.

“Get some sleep,” I said he sighed laying down, “tomorrow we’ll ride the ikran’s how’s that?” He nods “get some sleep,” I stood up and turn the light off, but I felt someone was next to me so nearly punched him in the face but he blocked my swing “woah there, calm down,” Quaritch says, “what the fuck are you doing here?” I question “I need to talk to you,” he said “for what?” I raise a brow glaring at him, he huffed looking around “just come,” he said walking somewhere, I follow him to a secluded area.

“Is that your son?” He asks.

“You’ve been easedropping?!” I snarled “I wasn’t trying to, but the way you were talking says a lot and I noticed how he was so able to easily trust you and be around you, I’d say that’s a mother and son bond,” he said, “it’s none of your business,” I said “it ain’t I was just curious, that’s all I was asking, I can see why you’re so protective of him but you know the reason why we’re brought back in the first place,” he says, “I know why I’m here, I’m here to live not die again! I’m not a fucking puppet! I’m not finna go around and just follow stupid orders because what will they do in the end huh?! They will turn pandora into the same way they did earth! And you think that’s okay, because you are damn puppet,” he grabs my jaw snarling “I’m not a puppet, I would say I’m a man from hell,” he said.

“You’re nothing else but that, nothing else but somebody’s bitch,” I jerk from him.

“Oh so you’re like him huh? You’re like sully who turned his back on his own kin!” He grabbed my arm i wince from his grip, “all kin ain’t good kin and I see why he switched sides!” I glared at him “leave her alone!” Spider said, we looked back to see spider glaring at Quaritch, “aww, me and your.. mom were just having a talk,” he said with a cocky tone, I punched him in the face, he yells holding his nose. “Go back in the room spider I’m fine,” I huff, “stay away from him!” I warned and walked away.

Two days later me and my squad chilled in our resting room not doing much, spider hasn’t come in the room yet and I was now getting worried, “I be right back,” I said “alright” they said, I look around for him, he wasn’t in his room and not the bay. “Fuck” I mumble running out I stopped when I see Quaritch talking to spider, they weren’t doing much but Quaritch showed him his fingers and how he has five hands trying to explain to them how their avatars are created, it seems spider was not in any danger nor did he feel uncomfortable around like he was three days ago but he seems a bit curious now.

I huff as I watched them carefully, “so, have you ever thought about a different life if you were able to choose to do something else?” Spider asks him “well.. not really this is all I know, it’s what I do,” he answers “but Jake was in the same place as you but he was able to change be good,” he tilts his head, Quaritch knew he didn’t have a good answer for that because he knows what he is and always been doing is wrong he just doesn’t want to face it. “ it’s not that easy as it looks kid,” he nudged his head. He ends up looking at me and smirked “well mama bear is here,” he said, “come” I said spider pouts but follows, I stare at Quaritch before leaving. “So what all did y’all talk about?” I ask, “nothing just his past, and how they were able to make you guy’s avatars,” he said shrugging.

I do lift ups, to try and take away my boredom, wasn’t helping but atleast getting exercise. “Heyyy spider how you holding up nephew?” Raven asks shaking his head like she always does “fine, bored,” he huffs sitting on the bunk bed, “I’m bored too, don’t feel like going anywhere though,” I said doing my lift ups, “mom… can you please tell me what happened last night?” He asks I sighed “spider what did I tell you,” I said sternly “I know I knowww, I really wanna know, Quaritch seemed out of it,” spider said “he’s always out of it,” Raven spoke passing by, I shake my head with a smirk “no seriously, like he’s sad, something hurt him,” he explains, “marines liek him don’t get sad he’s probably on his little man period,” Raven said I snorted “men have man periods?” Spider asks “nooo, don’t listen to that bitch, she’s just joking,” I laughed as I drop down, “okay look… I ended up telling Quaritch he’s your father,” Raven spins around “WHAT?!” She shouts.

“He ended up finding anyways but, fuck,” I huff “he’s my dad? Why..didn’t you tell me?” He asked, “I didn’t because I wanted to protect you, I don’t trust him that he’ll turn you into of them, I don’t want that for your spider,” I try to explain but spider shakes his head in disbelief “why would you just keep that from me?! I deserve to know who my father is,” he argued “spider I only did it-spider,” I called as he storms out I go to follow but Raven grabs my arm “let him cool down, Gwen.. but are you serious? Quaritch is his dad?” I nodded “we were married Raven,” her jaw dropped “I must’ve completely forgo-ohhhh shit! Ohhh shit! You’re right y’all were married! Oh my god! And you were pregnant with him!” She gasps in shock I sighed nodding.

I tear up feeling heartbroken and disappointed with myself, “Awww gwen,” she comforts me as I cried, “I just want him to be safe,” I said, “I know he’s only a kid, his mind doesn’t fully understand, you just gotta give him time,” she said, later on I was freaking out because I don’t know where spider was. He was gone almost all day, I spot him in the lab with Quaritch, I stopped in my tracks, as I watched them spider was smiling and talking and what surprised me was how Quaritch was smiling, I never seen that from him before except when I was pregnant that was the last time I have ever seen him be “human” I sighed turning around leaving but Quaritch already saw me.

I walk into my quarters “found spider?” Ellice asks.

“Mhm” I said laying in my bed, “where is he at?” Raven asks “where you think?” I cock a brow huffing, “that’s kid for ya as soon as they hear the truth about their other parents they run right to them like it’s nothin,” she said, shaking my head I put my hand over my eyes falling asleep. A few minutes later spider walks “hey kiddo,” Allen said “hey” he said with a sad tone, “your mom’s asleep,” Ellice tells him, we walks over sighing. “Your mother never wanted this for you, she wanted you out of this, it’s only a matter of time shit hits the fan,” Ellice said climbing on the top bunk, spider taps my shoulder “mom” he calls, I yawn waking up surprised to see spider sitting next to me.

“I need to talk to you,” he says.

“What is it?” I ask stretching my tired body, “can you come with me?” He asks I get up, I follow him out to a different room, “where are we going spider?” I ask, he walks inside and when I follow him my face dropped into a annoyed glare “surprise surprise” Quaritch says with a smirk, “really spider?” I look at him, he nervously smiled, “I want to make an..agreement with you,” he said “sounds like you were struggling to say deal,” I cock a brow while crossing my arms he huffs. “If it’s fine, I would like to coparent,” he said, my mouth hung open in shock, spider snickered, “coparent? You coparent?” I pointed “yes..a child needs both their parents and I guess we need to make up for the time that has been lost,” he says, I really couldn’t put together was this fool said, I was very surprised and confused. He acted like he didn’t want nothing to do with spider nor did he really care.

“Hmph” I look at spider “please?” Spider begs, “see even he wants too,” Quaritch says trying to convince me to say yes, I huff grunting in aggravation “I’m going to fucking regret this, fuck…. Fine” I huff, spider and Quaritch smirked at each other “don’t make me regret this, or I’ll shove your tail up your ass,” I said, “but you will not taking him anywhere outside of the forest which fucking means you will not be using him to track sully,” I said, “alright, that’s cool with me,” he said, I huff shaking my head. After the next few days things have been going pretty well, I’m ashamed to say it. Spider has been hanging out with his dad a lot, they would talk about his favorite things, he loves football and basketball. I yawn tiredly, as I walk into the lab to go and get spider, “how did you and mom meet?” He asks “welll.. we both met at a friends football watch party, he introduced me to her and I just couldn’t take my eyes off of her, she’s the most beautiful person I ever met, so I decided to talk to her and she was kind of shy and laid back, she didn’t bother anybody or really speak to people unless they come up to her,” he says with a faint smile as he begins to dream of the moment we first me. I cross my arms leaning on the wall with a soft smile “as we talked I decided to ask for her number and what not she surprisingly said yes so fast forward I asked her out on a date, took her to a very dance restaurant and we got to know each other,” he spoke, “you had feelings for her even when you first met?” Spider asks, “yea, and I never believed in love at first sight but it definitely was just that, I found she was in the military same was eye but she was two ranks above me and boy she was beast, she was thee boss, and that’s what I loved about her she never backed down from a fight and she shocked me so much by that, from somebody who was shy around me sure as hell was fierce with others,” he chuckles.

“Maybe because she liked you,” spider said, “mhm, she did she loved me like crazy, we got married both in the military till the rda came and offered us the job, we took that and here we landed on Pandora… fast forward throughout the time she seemed so intro he nature, the-the creatures and all that, I just couldn’t see that, I never understood why she cared to protect these people, but she told me one day she was pregnant and boy I was shocked I couldn’t believe it, I was hoping for a boy, she thought it was a girl, but during that time it out a strain on us because she wanted you safe she wanted to walk away from the rda and the military shit, because of the pregnancy and don’t get me wrong I wanted to as well but I couldn’t just.. Walk away and leave it’ll be to dangerous for her to go back and our world is already fucked up,” he sighed staring down at the ground, spider frowns “I was very fucked up back then, I wanted both my wife and my child safe but it just kept holding me back like a drug,” he swallows thickly as spider crawls over towards him, “do you..blame yourself?” He asks, “when I found out your mother died, I-I just went rogue I took my anger out even more, I do blame myself actually,” he said.

I walk in from behind the wall, Quaritch looks up “time to go kid, mama’s here,” he said, “aww I wanna hear the rest of it,” spider pouts, I guess a little story wouldn’t hurt,” I said crossing my arms, Quaritch raises a suspicious brow at me, “mom, did you really get tangled in the parachute when you landed?” Spider asks my eyes go wide “you told him that?!” Quaritch snickered I huff “no I didn’t.. it was the wind,” I huff.

Spider laughed “alright time to go to bed, let’s go,” I said he pouts but gets up huffing and puffing, “you remember everything?” I ask Quaritch, he sighed nodding “I uhh… I looked at more videos, ended up finding more and it, yea,” he stares down the ground, I sighed walking over to him “so, what are you thinking?” I ask, he huffs shaking his head, “come on tell me,” I sat down, “I was.. really fucked up, and selfish, I was so stuck on doing my job,” he tries to explain, “and you see why now? They’re treating you like a damn puppet, that’s y’all are only here for,” I said sighing, I stood up and he quickly follows grabbing my wrist to stop me, he turns me around “I never wanted it to be this way,” he said, “you make it hard for me to believe you, you’re after jake and his family! His kids! You tried to hurt his kids! And you expect somebody to fucking believe could change and do better,” I said, “and what if i do change, what benefits me?” He questions “a son, go after him if you want you will not see your son I will make you not see the light of day,” I threatened he sighed.

I begin to walk away “one chance” he said I stopped, “…just…one chance okay, it’s only a matter of time before Carmella shuts us all down,” he said, “I go by actions, not words,” I said then left.

Chapter 3

I stirred in my sleep from a bad nightmare, whimpering in my sleep spider slowly stirred waking up, I lean up shouting as spider jump from being frightened, “mom? Mom hey it’s okay,” he stood up, I gasp trying to catch my breath “it’s okay you’re fine, it was just a bad dream,” he says, “more like a nightmare,” I huff putting my head in my hands, “what was it about?” He asks “some really deep stuff, it’s scary to almost forget you were in the military till your ptsd comes back and bites you in the ass,” I said.

I sighed laying back down, “what do you think our life could be outside of this? Why don’t we just go and be with Jake and the rest?” He asks “the rest?” I raise a brow “Jake a family, they all live in the forest,” he said, “wow I’d sing even know that, that’s crazy,” I cocks a brow, “I don’t know, I can’t just leave they would be hunting us too, we just gotta figure out how we’re gonna get out of here,” I said.

Next day carries on and I was doing some combat training with Raven, spider sat down watching as I tumble Raven down wrapping my legs around her neck, Quaritch walked in wide eyed, “what are you doing kid?” Quaritch asks spider “just watching,” he said, “Jesus Christ you didn’t have to put me down like that,” I laughed pushing her, “you cheated,” Raven said “I didn’t cheat I just beat your ass,” I said, as we tackle again I wrap my ankle over her and push her down. “Aye aye not you tryna jump me,” I laughed as Allen lifts me up, “I wonder if my mom remembers everything, all of her past,” spider says, “probably it depends on what triggers it,” Quaritch says as he watched me.

I went to grab my bow that I got made for me, “when did you get that?” Ellice asks, “earlier, you know had to get my baby back,” I smirked grabbing an arrow, I place it correctly pulling back on the string. I shoot at the target wall almost making a bullseye “traaash!” Raven yells out “hey I almost made a bullseye and it’s been literally years since I’ve used a bow,” I shake my head, I look to my left to check on spider and see him talking to Quaritch but Quaritch was staring at me, his unconsciously glued to mine. I try to look away but my eyes seem to not look back but it got cut short when Raven pushes me, “move you jerk,” I push her back smirking.

As I leave spider’s room I head towards mine till I heard a certain somebody call “Corporal” I stopped, Quaritch was leaning on the wall almost as seemingly on purpose. He stares at me, “what?” I said nonchalantly, “it’s awfully lot of things going around about you and they ain’t good,” he said, “you telling me this why?” I question, “I heard you were alongside them and sully, so let me guess.. they got a spy lurking around these parts,” he says leaning off the wall “I’m not know spy, I fight for myself,” I said “what about your son? You just found out that he’s yours and you didn’t even know,” he says, “don’t speak on him, you don’t know everything so stop trying to act like you do,” I said warning him, he cocks a brow “who’s the daddy? Wonder if he’s alive, he must’ve knocked you up for you to have a child on this planet,” he said, I glare at him and walked up to him.

“And you did a pretty good job at,” I said.

I walked away to leave him in his thoughts as he was frozen by what I said he couldn’t tell if I was just making a remark or was I being for real, I walked down the hall sighing, but I realize what I just done I may have exposed him to being spider’s father and if he thinks about it to hard he’ll realize it. “Fuck!” I mumble in annoyance, I made my way close to the quarter but was pulled into a dark room, I tried to pry myself off and fight whoever it was but he had my arms pinned as he shuts the door, I was going to shout but he covered my mouth the lights turn on and it was Quaritch “tell me you’re lying! Tell me I was mistaken by what the hell you said!” He said almost has he wants to me to but knows he wants the answers out, his heart raced anxious and worry but also fear.

“Tell me that kid isn’t mine! Is it?!” I stood quiet as tears falling my face, “you better tell me right now,” he said his jaw clenching tightly, “spider’s your son,” I admitted his grip loosens, his whole heart flipped upside down, “there’s no way…no..I cannot be,” he freaks out “he is.. your son,” I said “when we’re you pregnant?” He asks “before I even died and before you sit up there destroy their hometree and the tree of voices just to piss then off,” I said, “I don’t think you deserve to know everything, after everything you have done,” I said shaking my head, I got to walk but he grabs my wrist “n-no, I need to know!” He says, I sighed I go to the screen and look for my files, “its obvious they wiped some of you memories because of they didn’t you would remember everything,” I said, I pull up my log from the time I was 6 months pregnant, Quaritch stood walking close to the screen.

“Well, here’s a baby bump update, the progress is going good,” I smiled showing my belly off, “I can’t wait to know the gender in fact we just got it today and if this asshole is here, he can read it,” I said looking to look for him “can you look for mikes please?” I asked they nodded, “yesss?” He answers “sit down I told you we were supposed to find out the gender of the baby” I said looking up “oh yea yea yea” he pulls a chair over.

Quaritch eyes widen watching the video in disbelief.

“You read it,” I give him the paper, “I don’t think I’m ready, I’m hoping for a girl,” he says, “now your thoughts is on a girl you said boy,” I chuckled “I don’t know,” he chuckles as he reads, “okay… so it’s a boy!” I squealed excitedly, “ayyyyee, I can teach him some good ole Basketball,” Quaritch smirks, “I’m so happy,” I smiled as Quaritch smiled proudly before pulling me in a kiss.

Once the video ends, “wha-ho-I-oh my god” he felt so lightheaded after watching that video but that wasn’t the only one he needed to see.

“I am Gwen.. Stefani Quaritch,” I said, “I would say I’m surprised to even be here but I guess this is what my job turned into, being on Pandora to be the scientists bodyguards or whatever,” I sighed.

“I was your wife,” I said, he looks at me, “no.. I don’t remember having a wife,” he said “of course you don’t,” I said “but don’t believe me, look at the back of right ear, there will be a infinity tattoo, We both got it after we gotta married I have on my left ear see,” I pull my ear forward to show him, he looks for a mirror or something to try and see. There it was the infinity tattoo, he gulped, “when I was pregnant with spider, I was happy, finally like I could leave and pull away from this rda bullshit! To be free! And I thought you would too, but that was cut short when I died,” I said with tears. He walks up to me “h-how did you die?” He asks.

“I died giving birth to spider… I died giving life,” I said.

His eyes widen, “and you were going to this stupid selfish war against these people and I died alone! Alone miles!” I shoved him, “mom” I gasp looking to see spider, “spider what are you doing up?” I ask, “couldn’t sleep, what’s going on?” He asks looking at us, “n-nothing everything is fine,” I huff wiping my eyes “go back to bed please,” I said, he sighed listening and starts to leave “ I would’ve never left if I knew you were giving birth,” he said “lies! You would’ve still went to war after he came, you don’t care! You were to busy trying to reck havoc to these poor people who want to be alone! We could’ve lived a good live away from this shit miles!” I cried, “I wanted you to change to finally open your eyes stop being stuck on being a marine! This isn’t safe of a child,” I argued, he sighed, “this is all that I know,” he says “being a puppet is all that you know huh? Really? Wow” I shake my head disappointed, “this is all that you think you know! If you are not going to step up and be a damn man to face your demons then you need to stay the hell away from him, you’re not going to turn my son into a heartless killer,” I said leaving him in raining of thoughts, his ears goes down. He didn’t know what to do, now that he knows the truth what is he going to do, change or stay the same?

Chapter 7

Quaritch slowly woke up with his arms wrapped around gwen, he sighs staring down at her sleeping state, he cannot lie, he wants her back he really wants her back that’s why he’s trying to chang but something is holding him back like a drug. He kiss the top of her before getting out of bed and dressed, he stretched cracking some of his bones before leaving. “Aye Quaritch they’re at it again,” Lyle said “what are you talking about?” Quaritch raised a brow “they’re testing on the kid,” he said and that’s when Quaritch jaw clenched in anger, he couldn’t believe she was doing it again! Testing on his son.

He sprints in to see him in that machine again, he nearly was going to have seizure from that with blood running down his nose, he slams the button “what the fuck are you doing?!” He exclaims, “we need answers I’m not waiting for you to play daddy,” she said not caring at all, “take him out” Quaritch said “excuse me?” She questions “take.him.out!” Quaritch growled, “I’m afraid not,” she said, Quaritch tilts his head with chest pumping hardly before grabs at the machine pulling one of the systems off making the scientists sprint up “hey!” They yelled, “get him out of each and every one of you are gonna be eating alive,” he threatens coldly, Lyle, z-dog, ha and mansk pull out their guns.

One of them ends up pressing the button releasing but he was so weak he couldn’t stand up so Quaritch caught him Lyle while walks over to carry the boy, “why do you care about the boy so much he’s not even your son,” that made his fists ball up, “that’s because you erased my memories of my wife and my son, that’s why,” her eyes widen so did the others, “you think I didn’t know? Huh… I see why sully switched sides because even your own people be so twisted,” Quaritch said leaving.

“Wait he’s your son?”?z-dog asks in shock “mhm there’s videos to prove he is,” Quaritch spiel, “I mean… he does look like him,” mansk shrugs, gwen was awake now and she was walking through the hallway to look for spider, “spider?!” She gasps “what the hell happened?” She asks “Carmella was testing on the boy trying to get him to spill the beans on sully,” Lyle answered. “I’m gonna fuck that bitch up!” She grunted “this I want to see,” mansk smirked along with a-dog and ja but Quaritch grabs her waist stopping “woah there, I handled it, she won’t be doing that again,” he said “I don’t care Imma handle her, I’m sick of her,” she tries to get out of his grip but he only tightened it telling she was not going to literally kill Carmella. “I handled it okay, I’m gonna get him check alright he’ll be fine,” Quaritch says, gwen huffs crossing her arms ,“she got one more time,” Gwen said, spider got checked and he’s thankfully okay and just needs to rest for the day it was to the point gwen had him in his aunties quarters so he can have multiple eyes on him. They were pissed off themselves when they were told what happened, “I want him out of here! It’s getting to damn dangerous! I’m not finna test on my son like he’s a animals! It’s disgusting and inhuman!” She argues, “I know I know, where are we gonna take him? We can’t just leave,” Quaritch said, “I’m gonna find a way! I’m sick of sticking here, I’m not finna loose my son,” she says “our son, we’ll figure something out okay,”he comforts her.

She looks up at him, she was worried for her son, the way he was easily taken from them just to try and get a word out of him by torturing him like that scares her, “I’m going to go I need some air,” she said leaving, she walks to the quarters “everything alright?” Allen asks “no they did it again! You still got location on the others who stood back?” I ask “yea why?” She tilts her head “I need to talk to them… I.. spider can’t stay here it’s getting worser Carmella is only going to torture him more if he doesn’t tell her shit,” gwen huffs. “You want me to come with you?” Allen asks, “I don’t know, they’re probably not going to trust us,” gwen says hesitantly “well, what if we bring spider?” She sighed “alright let’s go,” Allen and gwen walked inside spider’s room to wake him up “what’s going on?” He asks “we’re going to see some old friends, I bet you know them,” gwen smirks, “who?” He asks rubbing his eyes “you’ll see but don’t tell anyone,” he nods he follows and they were able to sneak out, and fly on their ikran’s with Allen leading the way.

“Hey max! Check this out!” Norm jogs over to max kneeling down to show him something, “wait! They’re here!” One shouted norm grabs his gun along with the others when they spot us, gwen flies down hoping down “spider?” Norm calls in disbelief “norm!” Spider sprints to him smiling, “gwen?” Max stares at her trying to figure her out, “yea” they gasp, “what? I-it-it really worked?!” He says nervously she nods “yea on few of us,” Allen said, “how did you come back, I thought you died from giving birth?” Samantha asks “yea I did, but they store our memories for this specific reason to bring us back.. as their damn puppets,” gwen said, “are you alone?” Norm asks we both nodded “yea it’s just them,” spider said, “I’m trying to figure out how I can get spider out of this if not me and the rest, they were literally testing on him just to try and get a word out on where Jake sully is… and I’m not gonna let that happen,” I said, “he can stay with us, he’s been staying with us ever since jake and the omaticaya sent them back to earth,” max said, “we can’t let him stay right now we have to think this through, it’s not easy because the rest will be after him too and they’ll suspicious of us and put us down for good,” Allen said.

“If Jake ever gives you word on anything let him know he got his on recoms in their for him and we’ll try to give out every word we get,” gwen says sternly, max and norm nodded, “you knows it going to take sometimes for them to trust you, I know Jake probably would trust since he was trying to reach out to you for help against them but you ended passing away before he could,” norm says, gwen sighs “yea I know.. Jake knows I’m not them, nothing like them but he knows i was Quaritch’s wife even though I am I couldn’t even get him to change when I myself wanted him too,” she said, “let’s go spider, we gotta head back before they start looking for us,” she sighed.

A day later norm and max was already heading to the metkayina clan to find out what’s going on with kiri, “Jake umm there’s something we found and need to know,” norm says “what?” He asks scared, “you remember gwen?” Max asks his eyebrows twitches in confusion “gwen?” Jake says quietly “uhh no I don’t remember,” he said, “so umm it comes to find out that… spider’s mother is alive,” he raises a brow “she was alive this whole time? Where the hell was she?!” Jake asks getting angry because there’s no way his mother could be alive and didn’t bother to look for son?! “No no, the thing is gwen was brought back to life by the rda,” max explains “gwen who is gwen I don’t… oh shit, gwen?! Wait gwen!” Max nods “quaritch’s wife; she’s his mother,” Jake eyes widen, “gwen is brought back to life? How?” He asks “they have a memory card so that way they can be made and brought back to life with their memories,” max explains, “it’s creepy but she came to us yesterday because she’s trying to figure a way out for her and spider,” norm said, “she’s one of them?” Jake huffs shaking his head “if she was she wouldn’t be coming to us she already they were trying to test on the kid to try and get him to talk basically, torture him.. Jake you know she isn’t, you even tried to reach out to her before she died,” norms says.

“How did she die?” Jake asks.

“Giving birth to spider,” Jake eyes slowly widen, the guilt and sadness he felt “damn man, that’s fucked up, man!” He shakes his head sighing, “she said you got recoms on the inside that’s willing to give you their next move,” Jake puts out a smirk “yea she’s Quaritch wife alright she’s known for recom missions, whatever she can give send it to me, I’ll try to figure out how I can get her and spider out,” they nodded.

I took a flight with my crew because we were bored, Quaritch stood back with spider and the rest but knowing her she didn’t want any of his group near spider and if Quaritch wants to prove himself he’ll have to abide by it. “You think he’s gonna change?” Raven asks “I don’t know.. one chance is all he got,” I said sternly, we flew back as spider runs out, “aww you went on a flight without me,” he says I drop down “you were with you’re dad, should’ve asked him,” I said “come on kid before I change my mind,” Quaritch says playfully, “yess!” Spider cheers running to his dad, the girls smirked as they leave heading into the bass “come on mom, we’ll race ya,” he says, “I just got back boy,” I whine, “aww it looks like somebody’s scared to get their ass beat,” quaritch teases I grin,”you sure about?” I question walking back, I got on my ikran and fly off.

Quaritch flies behind me trying to keep up, I smirk till I look back he was gone, I looked around, somehow they ended up in front of me, “haha” spider teases “don’t taunt me spider,” I said with a chuckle as I fly over them, of course we fly back with Quaritch and spider winning, “yes haha we beat youuuu!” Spider teased, I chuckle “yea yeaa, I let you guys beat me, realistically I would’ve won,” I said, “yea okay,” Quaritch laughs. Later on nightfalls, spider was fast asleep next to me, I sighed thinking of a way to get him out of this, he doesn’t need to be in this mess, it’s to dangerous. A knock came to the door making me look up “he’s asleep?” Quaritch asks “mhm, fast asleep,” I said as I move a strand of hair from his face, “a good kid, he’s very curious and adventurous,” he says, “mhm, he got the adventurous trait from you, you always wanted to go on adventures,” I said, I slowly get out of the bed pulling the covers over him.

“I feel like he got the free spirit from you,” he says as we leave the room, “never really considered myself that but I’m my own person and make my own rules,” I said, he chuckles “yea you don’t let down for shit,” he sighs, “what do you need?” I ask “what?” He asks confused “I said what do you need?” I look at him “I don’t need nothin well..something,” he shrugs slightly, I raise a brow “what?” He grins, “I don’t think you wanna know,” he said “I don’t got time for these guessing game Quaritch,” I huff “why you always gotta call me Quaritch?” He cocks a brow “because I can and that’s what I’ll call you,” I roll my eyes we ended up near his room, he chuckles deeply, “mm, gotta lotta attitude hunny,” he said, I cross my eyes sassing him, he put on a menacing smirk has his thick fingers snake their way to my neck wrapping around my throat making my breath hitch in shock. His lips went to my ear “You must not forget who got you pregnant because I tore up that little kitty of yours,” he said sending shivers down my spine, he chuckled “ouuu you like that huh” he taunts like the jerk he is, I didn’t realize i was in his room up against his wall now because of how he had me in a daze, “shut up you jerk,” I said about to move but he presses up against me even more, “I can feel your heartbeat beating out of your chest sweetheart, something’s got you nervous or excited?” He taunted slowly as his hand tickled my hips.

“I..” I couldn’t come up with words the way this man was doing to me, “miles” i whispered “miles huh? You changin up on my babygirl?” He smirks, his lips tickling my neck but he pulls away, “still got that effect on you, after all these years,” he nudged my chin, I huff “get some sleep, I told spider that you would be joining us playing basketball tomorrow,” he said “basketball? Whaaat?” I grin, “what?” He ask I shake my head when I put my hand on the doorknob I was jerked back bumping into his chest “that ain’t the bed,” he said, my eyes go wide “oh hell no!” I scoff but he lifts me up and puts me on the bed bed leaving me flustered, “oh shut your pie hole,” he said as he takes off his boots, he begins taking his shirt off and I just averted my eyes. “Like what ya see babygirl?” I roll my eyes, “kinda like this new body, I wouldn’t think they would make my muscles this detailed,” he said while flexing his his arms, I couldn’t help the urge to stare at his arms, god help me right now! Quaritch jaw clenched as he stared down at me, what was going to be his decision? Spider looks between us nervously feeling silence getting intense. I stepped back slightly shaking my head and walked away, “do..you want to stay?” Spider asks hesitantly, “it’s better then being controlled,” spider shrugs. Quaritch turns to him “only if she wants me to kid,” he sighed walking around “but,she does.. or she wouldn’t be acting like this, nor let them keep you here.. alive,” spider said, Quaritch looks outside the window before looking at spider “she’s confrontational, that’s what she does,” he said spider smacks his lips before scoffing “can you stop being such a stubborn ass for once, you got a chance at building a new life, outside of killing innocent people and doing so much damage..if you think being controlled and killing makes you better then you only making yourself look weak,” he said before leaving.

As the shower ran I took off my shirt, I sighed throwing it away since it had some rips in it. “Hey spider, what are you doing?” I ask, “nothing just looking,” he said, “alright, gwen I need you to go scout, take spider with you,” Quaritch says, my heart sank “what now?” He sighed “yes come on,” he said as he grabs my wrist taking me outside, “take him and go dotn you dare look back,” he said in my ear “miles-please just come, I don’t want to leave you, please,” I begged he shakes his head “I can’t, someone’s gotta keep y’all from both getting killed, now go,” he said as spider walks outside “what’s going on?” He asks, miles pulls me into a passionate kiss, it felt like it was going to be the last one and it’s hurting me, tears fall down from my eyes as I kiss back. He pulls away staring into my eyes, “go please…I love you.. I never got to tell you that before, We’ll see each other again,” he whispered, I cried “I love you too,” I said, “mom, dad?” Spider looks at us, “spider come on,” I said grabbing his hand “where are we going?” He asks, “to scout” i said.

“Scout?” He asks confusingly looking between us “go kid,” he said, I mounted my ikran and helped spider on, spider looks at my father with a worried look. “Take care of our son,” he said I flew away “wait no! Dad!” He shouted in panic “where are we going?! We can’t leave him!” Spider looks back “to the camp you’re safe there spider I’ll come back for dad,” I said “no! No we have to help him!” He argued “no! I’ll come back to get him,” I said sternly, spider squirmed but I held him still “hey! Stop, I’m bringing you to the camp then I’ll come back to get him spider! I just need you out of this,” I said.

He gulps, once we made it to the camp norm raise their brows.

I hopped down “it’s about to go down, watch him please.. and if I don’t make it back, please protect him,” I said, norm nods, I looked at spider “mom please!” Spider begs grabbing her hand “spider go now,” I said, he gulped before walking over to them. I walk back to my ikran and mounted her, I glance at spider. My heart pounded as I watched his face full of sad and worry, but it was only best to get him out of here before everything went south.

I flew up and flew back but by the time I got there the ships were crashed and on fire. My heart sunk, “where is he?” I blurted out anxiously, I pull out my gun and landed down on the dock. I carefully look around notice the arrows impaled into the soldiers bodies, it was them! I knew exactly who it was, I run out till I hear shouting, I frown when I see Quaritch holding a little girl hostage with a knife to her throat. I run out “MILES!” I snarled he jumped “you fucking serious! Are you out of your gawdamn MIND!” I yelled “I told you to go!” He argued “gwen?!?” Jake blurts out wide eyed “and I came back for you! You’re fucking sick! To think you would actually change from being a gawdamn puppet! You-" I gasped when my hair was yanked back with knife to my throat “neytiri’s Jake shouted.

“Don’t hurt her! No!” Jake tries to tell neytiri but she still kept the knife to my throat, “release! Or I CUT!” She snarled, I gulped nervously as I stared at Quaritch his eyes frown as he glances upon me, “RELEASE!” Neytiri threatens making a small cut on my chest, I Yelp in pain “LET GO!” Quaritch yelled releasing her, I was released. “Neytiri get them out of here,” Jake said. “Quaritch you back off!“ I said walking up to him, “stand down!” I grabbed his throat aiming the gun at his head “or I’ll fucking kill you!” I said with tears in my eyes, he huffs dropping his knife “okay,okay okay I’ll stop,” he breathes out. “Where’s spider? Where’s our kid?” He asks “he’s safe” I said, I turned around looking at Jake, they watched me as I grabbed Quaritch “go, before the other come, it’s only a matter of time before they shut me down,” I said to Jake, he sighed “look…I made a deal, you remember it? Huh? That if you helped us the first time? I’d promise you I’ll protect you and your child,” he said.

I frown “I can remember a little, can’t remember much that’s how they made us so we don’t know,” I said, “and it seems max and norm already gave you my word,” I said he nods sighing, “like I said I keep my words Jake,” I said lastly before I grabbed quaritch and pulled him with me, “g-gwen” I glare at him “don’t say a word to me! I can’t believe you! You’re blessed that you’re living right now!” I cried, he sighs. When we got back they were in shock that Quaritch is even back, they didn’t even want the man there but I convinced them that I’ll make him change he will have no choice.

Spider runs out “mom!” I sighed in relief as he hugs me “are you okay? What happened?” He asks observing my wound, “I’m fine, everything’s okay,” I said “where’s dad?” He asks nervously hopping to not get the answers he’s thinking about, “he’s in there,” I said nudging my head towards the healing bay. He looks at me “did..he hurt anybody?” I shake my head “luckily,no” he released a breath of relief he didn’t know he was holding, “is this it? Is it over?” He asked, I shake my head “not until the rda is dead,” I said, I stand up “but for now we’re safe,” I said to him. He looks over towards the healing bay before walking over there, I sighed watching him.

“How did they bring you back?” Max asks.

“They use a memory drive to put back like our old memories or whatever into the avatar bodies we always had it till we die so we can come back,” I try to explain “that’s unbelievable! They bring them back again! Just to hunt Jake!” Norm exclaimed, “I could only hold off with my team for so long,” I frown when I realized I haven’t heard from my team! They may have been lost Ik the sudden fight. Soon the sound of ikran’s made me look up, people started coming outside grabbing their guns just in case.

I gasp “wait!” I shouted I run out, only Raven and Alice came, where’s Ellice? “Oh thank god y’all alive? Where’s Ellice?” I ask, they shake their heads “Ellice didn’t make it” Raven said saddened, I huff. “Where’s spider?” She asks “he’s with Quaritch, in the healing bay he’s fine,” I said “quaritch? That fucker still alive?! Gweeen” allice complains, “look, just… I’ll deal with him okay,” I sighed, “mom, can you come here?” Spider asks biting his lip, “I’m coming,” I said, I look at Raven and allice before walking over to the healing bay. Spider runs towards Quaritch who was laid out on the bed, I cross my arms “what?” I asked aggressively, he leans up “imma-imma go” he said, i cock a brow “oh? Good fuckin luck!” I said, he stood up sighing “I’m not going to argue with you gwen you know how this is going to go,” he said, “if you go… you will never see your son ever again because I’ll kill you along with the rest of the rda!” I threatened harshly “so you choose. To be a fucking PUPPET! Or to act like a actual person and start a new life! A good one, me and spider are the only ones here! Who can believe you can change! You started calling me your wife again, you-you started acting a person and not some killer! But you don’t want to face the truth cuz your scared miles!” I said with tears flowing down my eyes, he bite down on his cheek staring at the ground, “what is it gonna be?” I question.

He looks up in fear… he has to choose but what will his answer be?

I groan waking up from my sleep, I feel his lips touching on my neck, “miles” I huff, “morning” he chuckles leaning up to pepper me with kisses, i smile a little I lean up stretching my arms. “Miles if you don’t back up,” I push him giggling, he holds me tightly not letting me go “miles!” I squealed, “not until I have my kiss,” he said I roll my eyes he grabs my neck pulling me back to kiss my lips, I try to get but hiss feeling the pain in my leg from my injury and also I was sore and we know who it was because of. “The boss wants us to umm.. go on a search,” he said, “if it’s after jake I don’t want to hear that bullshit,” I said standing up but I grab onto the dresser for stability, “how are we gonna do this huh? How are we gonna just.. run away?” He questions “easy run away unless you have a tracker on you,” I said “it’s not that easy gwen,” he says, “naw shit! I got brought back to life! When I didn’t want to be the only reason why I don’t kill myself is because of spider other that I have nothing else to live for and I’m not gone be somebody’s bitch,” he huffs “you won’t change! I know you won’t! You’re so stuck on following some gawdamn orders instead opening your eyes and see you can start a new life! Without being up under somebody’s control!” I argue tearing up, he walks up behind me he turned me around and can see the hurt in my eyes, it pains me the the doesn’t that what I hate about him, he doesn’t listen and ignores the warnings and signs that put in front of him, he doesn’t want to face his own demons.

He wipes my tears “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to do,” he said, “change, just change! Open your eyes miles and realize you have something to live for! You have a son who the rda is treating like a damn animal they literally were testing on him, they can kill him without caring that he’s a kid that right there says a lot, they’re destroying this beautiful planet because we couldn’t take care of it! I don’t want that for this planet I don’t car what you think, going after Jake ain’t worth shit,” I said, “where would we go?” He asks “far from here,” I said, “fly out towards the sun?” He grins “and don’t your back away from it,” I said.

He helps me walk as we reached the main area, mansk and Lyle snickering and smirking even spider had a cheeky smirk on his face. “You made a home run?” Mansk asks, Quaritch smirked knowing exactly what he was talking about, it took me a second to realize what he meant and I cringed “aye I see Quaritch puttin in that work!” Lyle said as him and Quaritch fist bump “shut the fuck up, with your bald headed ass,” I said mansk snorts into laughter while Lyle side eyes me.

I go and get my bandages changed with a new one, “mom, look I made the ninja star,” I turn around confused till I seen a paper folded into a star “how did you make that? That’s cool,” I ask “dad taught me,” I looked at him in disbelief, “I use to remember he would make me these, it always been something he would,” I said softly, Quaritch walks in “we’re relocating somewhere in the far coast,” he said, I raise a brow “why?” I ask “what don’t like sightseeing?” He smirked, I roll my eyes getting up my squad walks in with their gear, “hurt ya leg that bad gwen?” Raven looks at my leg “ughh I don’t even wanna talk about it,” I huff, we flew out flowing Quaritch, to these ships that were on the water.

Something tells me they were not for good reasons. As we landed i wince from the ache in my leg I hop down with the help of raven and Ellice. “Oi are you the asshole who’s supposed to be steering my ship?” The man question Quaritch “that would be me” he said, we walked inside, I sat down as they discussed talking about the different water tribes. They were still looking for sully! It’s irritating me even more right now, Quaritch knows he can feel my hard glare on his back, that’s why he hasn’t turned around to look at me.

I limp outside “gwen where you going?” Raven asks.

“Can’t go far,” I said as I leave to the dock, I sighed looking at the beautiful waters, it’s so clear even this deep, never seen anything like it. I feel a hand on my back making me stiffen “miles! Don’t touch me! I know what the fuck you are doing,” i said “gwen just listen-no! I don’t wanna hear your bullshit,” I argued. I scoff “I can’t believe I just felt for it, thinking you would changed trying to give you the benefit of a doubt but you just keep digging yourself a bigger hole!” Quaritch shakes his head glancing down a bit, “just listen to me, Carmella threatened she will test on him if we don’t get this done! Do you want that for our son?” I shake my head “she’ll be a dead bitch if she touches him,” I said harshly, “look let’s just get this done, and we can move on,” he said “move on? What?! Kill Jake sully and his kids and move on like karma won’t come your fucking way, are you a dumbass,” i shake my head.

He sighed “she will put us down gwen! Then what?!” Her jaw clenched “we know how they run we use what they have against them,” i said, “alright, then what are you planning?” He asks crossing his arms, she leans on the railing “gwen, I know spider shouldn’t be in this there’s only so much I can do,” he said, “no, you just don’t want to do more,” I said sternly. He sighed “tomorrow they’re planning on hunting these wail things to try and lure him out.. I’ll give you an order tomorrow and you take spider, far away from here,” he said, I look at him confusingly “miles? You’re still going after sully? Why don’t you just leave and we all can go and be on our own?” I ask, “not how it works gwen, I’m giving you both the opportunity to walk away from this,” he said.

I sighed walking away from him.
