It was really only a matter of time before something like this happened. After months of a casual fling with Eddie Brock – quick meetups in your office at work had evolved into hours spent between the sheets of your bed, which had turned into nights of him crawling into his bed beside you. The frequency that flowers came to your office signed with his name had increased, his visits to bring you lunch nearing every day – the other people who worked at the paper with you had their assumptions. And yet, despite the obviously growing intensity between the two of you, there had never been an official name put on whatever was transpiring.
But tonight, the two of you had escalated things by going to a very public press fundraiser together. It was the kind of event Eddie hated – everyone in their fancy suits and dresses, signing checks not to be good people but to make others think they were so, the sticks shoved firmly up their asses as they ate overly-expensive and shitty food. While most of the people present got an idea of the situation when you arrived arm-in-arm with him, the irresistible allure of every dip and curve in your body in your sleek black dress had pulled in attention you didn’t want – or need.
It was Eddie’s final thread snapping that had changed the evening. While you were speaking with one of your old colleagues, his eyes had lingered downward far too long for his taste, and he had put the man in his place with a raised voice. Veins protruding in his temples and neck, Eddie had openly chastised the man for being so indecent toward you, and in doing so confirmed what most of the people in the room already knew – he was hopelessly in love with you. You’d watched on, cheeks pink as you bit into your bottom lip, watching him loudly stake a claim over you that you had to wonder exactly when he’d began to feel entitled to it – not that you had any arguments to present.
It wasn’t a surprise when the two of you were escorted out and refused a car service home due to the scene he’d caused, and so you found yourselves walking through the park to return to whichever apartment was closest. The chilled air was helping to simmer the anger that was boiling in him, and yet he was still walking with an intensity that quickened his step, his breaths coming out in frustrated huffs. Once you were fully removed from the lights and sounds of the ongoing party behind you, one of your hands found its way to grip his shoulder, steadying his movements for a moment. Slipping your hands around his middle you pressed yourself to his back in a gentle hug, your cheek leaning against the leather of his jacket that was warm thanks to the heat he was giving off.
“I’ve never seen you like that over me, Eddie,” you purred, using a quiet voice to soothe him into the relaxation you knew you could bring him to. His large hands came to rest over yours on his stomach, a deep breath releasing from his chest with another huff.
“I’m sorry to embarrass you like that, baby,” he relented, his hands giving yours a light squeeze. His voice was hoarse, rough from the shouting he’d been doing not long before, and yet you knew him well enough to hear the hidden worry his voice carried – he didn’t want you to be angry for hastening the end of your first real night out together. “I didn’t mean to yell, I just…couldn’t handle the way he was looking at you. I didn’t fucking like how anyone there was looking at you, like I wasn’t even there. Like I wasn’t right fucking there.”
“You weren’t the one in the wrong, and I don’t think there’s any question about who I was there with now, Eddie,” you cooed quietly, sympathetic to his rising anger, knowing you could truly subside it whenever you wished. “And you don’t need to be sorry to me. I…will never complain about seeing you that way…for me.”
And at the same time you were coaxing him into a calm lull, the symbiote attached to him was in his mind, its words infused with something primal.
She likes when we show possession of her, Eddie. We can smell it on her.
Eddie turned himself then, his arms wrapping to hold you against him firmly as his eyes searched for yours in the pale moonlight. His mind less clouded in anger now, he took in the red hue to your cheeks, the way your bottom lip had already begun to swell due to your repeated biting, the way your eyes had begun to darken – this was a look he was familiar with, a look he coveted. His lips curved upward into a smirk, a look you also knew – a look that meant he’d finally relaxed enough to catch on. The hoarse gavel to his voice did nothing to satiate the flaming heat in your own stomach.
“Seeing me what way for you?” he inquired, the answer already running through his mind. His hands found your lower back, pushing you forward into him so you could relish in his heat. One of his hands slid to grasp your chin between his thumb and forefinger, tilting your face up toward his as he bent downward to lightly rub his nose against yours. “You like seeing me get possessive over you, pretty girl? Does it get you all hot and bothered to see me lose my mind over you?”
Pulling your lip between your teeth again you could only bring yourself to nod, quiet breaths increasing in pace embarrassingly quickly as he leveraged his proximity to you by allowing his lips to brush against yours. He loved to see how flustered you were for him – even Venom continued to mentally remark how you looked for them – but you knew what he truly wanted from you. Miraculously, you found your voice, nothing for than a quiet murmur against his lips.
“You look sexy when you’re angry like that, yeah…but what really made me hot was you getting so possessive over me,” you whispered, lips brushing his with feather-light movements as you spoke. His hold on your chin became firmer, his hand at your back slipping to grasp your hip. “Almost like you think I’m yours or somethin’.”
The taunt was intentional, he knew that, and responded in kind by slotting his lips against yours, beginning to pull you with him as he stepped backward repeatedly to disappear into the trees. Returning his kiss, you quickly found your tongue entering a dance with his, his hand sliding to cup your cheek into its warmth. When he felt there were enough trees between the two of you and the path, he pulled away from your kiss carefully, shrugging his jacket free of his shoulders as he went.
“You are mine, I guess maybe I need to do a better job at showing you that,” he teased, his lips connecting with yours again as he began to cover your back and shoulders with his jacket. Backing you into a tree he leaned down closer to you, testing how sturdy the thick trunk appeared to be. “But I know you like it, because Venom says it can smell how fucking wet you are because of it. I didn’t know you wanted to be mine so bad, you could’ve asked nicely, you know?”
“Eddie, Jesus, you talk so fucking much sometimes,” you whimpered, your complaint pulling a laugh from him as he began to trail kisses across your jaw. Your fingers bunched into his shirt on his chest, pulling him closer as you sought to rub your core against his thigh for any amount of friction you could get. His hands began to pull at your dress, bunching it up until he held most of the skirt at your hips, shifting his leg between yours to knock them apart.
“Try to keep quiet, pretty girl,” he whispered when his lips reached your ear, sucking into the delicate skin beneath your ear immediately after before he began to sink to his knees in front of you. “I’d hate to have one of those stuck-up assholes ruin our fun.”
Before you could question his intent, he leaned forward, running his soft lips along the inside of your thigh, inhaling deeply as each of his instincts screamed for him to. Keeping one hand on the fabric of your dress he reached the other to push your delicate underwear to the side, immediately diving into your wet folds with his tongue to test for himself how wet you were. Groaning on at the familiar honey-sweetness of your arousal his hand slipped to lift one of your legs over his shoulder, lapping against you as though it was all that had been on his mind for hours.
A quiet moan slipped from your lips, your head leaning back to the tree as your eyes rolled back – a good thing considering the mere sight of him on his knees for you was enough to make you scream. As his lips sucked against your swollen clit he slipped his hand back to your ass, squeezing firmly before running his tongue downward again. Fucking his tongue into you he released another groan before pulling away, placing kisses along the insides of your thighs.
“You taste so good,” he cooed, his murmured words of appreciation striking into you deeply, pulling another quiet moan from you. “All that fancy fucking food at that dinner tonight and not a single thing tasted this good.”
We want a taste, Eddie.
The low rumbling voice, no matter how familiar it had become in the last several months, always sent a shiver down your spine. Even the symbiote was conscious of the situation and desperate not to ruin it, quieting its voice to much lower volumes than normal – though only for the benefit of the humans, as if it were left to the alien, it would cherish your moans bouncing off the trees. Eddie licked another desperate line between your folds, flicking his tongue against his clit as he savored every drop of you he could. His voice was husky when he finally found it.
“I’m not the one to ask, V,” he explained, his hand pushing against your backside to encourage your core to his face where his tongue waited again. “I’m not so sure if she’s ready for that.”A cold, slick and slightly barbed tongue licked a surprisingly solemn stripe along the inside of your thigh, chasing the path Eddie had taken minutes ago now. Goosebumps raised across your skin, a soft gasp falling from your lips as your eyes shot open to confirm the sight for yourself. Venom, careful not to anger Eddie, stilled its movements on your thigh as Eddie fucked his tongue into your warm channel again. Your fingers found Eddie’s hair, tangling into the soft locks to steady yourself as you nodded your head weakly, struggling to find words appropriate for the situation you found yourself in.
“You…you’re both part of one another,” you replied, words shaking as you fought to consent through the waves of pleasure crashing through your body. Eddie could feel Venom reaching out to every inch of his body, soaking in the desire every part of them felt. As you managed to nod your head you found words within yourself again. “I don’t want to keep myself from any part of you. Go…ahead, V.”
Eddie’s mouth fell open in brief shock before he reached to connect it with your clit again, sucking against the swollen nib gently as the tongue on your thigh reached higher now. The cool, wet muscle eagerly reached for your dripping hole, experimentally swirling the tip around your entrance. When they were rewarded with the sweetest moan they’d ever heard a groan rumbled in Eddie’s chest, his own tongue flicking against your clit as Venom’s tongue slipped into your cunt, far deeper than any human could hope to reach. As Venom began to swirl its tongue inside you Eddie continued his attention on your clit, reaching his hand that didn’t grasp fabric at your waist to force his pants down, freeing his straining cock with a rough slap against his stomach.
The pressure built in your stomach impossibly full as your legs began to shake, Eddie’s teeth nibbling your clit gently as Venom continued familiarizing its own tongue with the taste of you. It wasn’t long before you had to throw your head back again, a tidal wave of pleasure washing through your body as your orgasm gushed through you, the majority finding its way to Eddie’s mouth – he wouldn’t be the one to waste a drop.
Once content with how clean he’d ensured your folds were, Eddie began to raise himself back up, pressing greedy kisses to any part of your torso that was exposed to him. As Venom’s tongue withdrew from you Eddie hoisted you up, immediately burying his cock to the hilt as he pinned you against himself and the tree, shuddering with a groan as he buried his face in your neck. His strong exterior always melted in those first moments he felt your warmth welcome him in again, and with his face hidden in your neck and eyes squeezed shut he was oblivious to the sleek black tendril that wound itself around your middle, securing you to the tree further so Eddie didn’t have to focus on his hold. You welcomed him home with a moan, as you always did, which encouraged him to give a beginning thrust, grunting into your skin as he began to nibble on the tender skin beneath your ear.
“You’re so fucking wet, baby, my god,” he groaned into your ear, picking up the pace of his thrusts into you. With a particularly perfect thrust the head of his cock knocked against your cervix, eliciting a loud moan from your chest. Another tendril took advantage of your open lips, slipping into your mouth with nodded approval from Eddie. “We told you we gotta stay quiet, baby. Don’t worry, Venom’ll help – be a good girl and suck, love seeing those pretty lips workin’.”
Your moans were muffled by Venom, your glazed over eyes finding Eddie’s as he raised his head to look at you, to confirm that you were following his suggestion. Holding his eye contact and feeling the way your walls clenched him at these new sensations, you began to work your mouth over the perfectly sized appendage. A low, appreciative growl rumbled through the air from the symbiote, Eddie’s thrusts becoming more desperate as he connected his mouth with your neck again, sucking an obvious mark into your skin.
Between grunts he spoke praises, thanking you for how good you were being with your mouth and complimenting how fucking hot you looked for them. Within minutes his thrusts were becoming sloppy, and he took a deep breath to steady himself, unwilling to finish before you could again. Knowing Eddie’s predicament, Venom’s tongue slid carefully up your thigh again before flicking against your clit, mirroring the action it had watched Eddie do many times. Your hips bucked forward into Eddie’s roughly, a deep moan sounding in your chest even passed your stuffed mouth, your eyes rolling back before closing. Eddie reached a hand to cup the side of your face, coaxing you to look at him again with soft words as he began to time his thrusts with the flicks of Venom’s tongue.
“That’s right, pretty girl – keep those eyes on me,” he pleaded, his words broken up between heavy breaths. Though you pushed yourself to remain fixated on his eyes, both of you broke the loving gaze when you felt additional tendrils on your legs, working up your bodies slowly – almost inquisitively. “Venom…wants to make sure we’re both nice and full. You gonna let us?”
You could barely nod, eyes finding Eddie’s again to communicate your consent the best you could with a look. Even if your mouth wasn’t full, you wouldn’t have been able to find the words to describe just how it felt when an intentionally wet tendril prodded at the tight ring of muscle at your backside – nor how it made you feel to see the same was happening to Eddie. Venom worked the tendrils into each of your asses like it had planned to do so for a long time now, like it knew exactly how it needed to enter both of you to make it feel as good as possible.
Venom’s thrusts matched Eddie’s perfectly, its tongue swirling around your clit in a sinful synchrony that had your thighs shaking within minutes. Your hands reached for Eddie’s shoulders, nails digging into his skin even past the t-shirt covering him. Eddie’s breaths were ragged, and yet as you’d mentioned before – he just couldn’t bring himself not to speak to you.
“Gonna let me fill you up, perfect girl?” he questioned, his hands finding your hips as he began to relentlessly ram his cock up into you. He took a moment to look down between the two of you, watching how his cock disappeared into your tight walls with each thrust before fixing his gaze on your face again, groaning when you nodded your approval. If it were any other time, he’d want you to be able to speak – but he couldn’t chance the scream he knew you wanted to let rip through you. “Gonna fill you up so much I’m leaking out of you for days,” he promised, followed quickly by another, “and then I’m going to fill you up some more when we get home.”
Your thighs already shaking, you wrapped them around him tighter as you rocked against him, part of your moan slipping past the tendril in your mouth as your eyes rolled back. Your walls clenching around him pulled Eddie’s own release from him, his thick, hot load shooting deep into you as a low groan sounded in his chest along with a string of compliments.
When your shared euphoria had subsided, Venom departed from where it filled you so you could lean forward to claim Eddie’s lips in a kiss, your hands still clutching to his shoulders and body shaking as the pleasure continued to surge through you. Eddie returned your kiss hungrily, slowly pulling himself from you and steadying you back on the ground with his hands on your hips gently. When both of you were redressed, he pulled you back in for another kiss, his lips moving against yours as he spoke a final promise into the night.
“That’s the only kind of sharing you’ll get from me.”

okay. so the thing with fridging--the thing with fridging! is that i feel like it's become shorthand for any woman's death or perhaps any character's death that was used to further another character's story and that's. a bit off what the *idea* was when gail simone first made her her women in refrigerators website/list. which, is still available and free to peruse at your own leisure here.
so when gail simone created the women in refrigerators website/idea, it was not actually meant to condemn any of the deaths or disabilities or awful things that had *happened* to those women. it's purpose, first and foremost, was a question:
Tumblr media
(from the front page of gail simone's website, linked above)
i'll put the rest under a cut for length
all women in refrigerators was, at its heart, was gail noticing that female characters she loved often met rather awful ends at a rather high frequency. & the point of women in refrigerators was not that these awful things shouldn't have happened to these characters, even gail was aware that it a medium like comic book people were going to have terrible things happen to them for the drama of the story, see:
Tumblr media
--it was a question on whether 1) other people thoght she was looking too much into it & seeing something that wasn't there (she originally posted the list on a comic book sites and the response she got was, i guess rather...vitriolic at the very idea she would raise questions about whether women were treated worse than in comic books) and 2) whether other people agreed there was even a problem to begin with. it was a conversation, not a shaming, not a callout. gail's letter she sent to the creators are there. their responses discussing the issue & whether they thought there was one was all there! women in refrigerators was not meant to be condemning of those stories that had a women die for the sake of a man, it was a basic starting question much like a bechdel test is just a basic starting question--not meant to be some gotcha, just the starting point of a much greater conversation.
and not every creator agreed with her premise! there were absolutely arguments about how bad things also happen to male characters. characters like jason todd and uncle ben *in particular* were used to defend the fact that women in refrigerators wasn't some big conspiracy against women in comics, that the bad things that happened to them were just conceits of the genre. others agreed with gail that there was a problem there (ie/women tended to be more affected by these things than me) that they should probably try to do better about in the future. other creators agreed, but then went to go on to justify why their female character in particular needed to go in the fridge. mark millar, who would later go on to write kick-ass said, and i quote: "granted, the female stuff has more of a sexual violence theme and this is something people should probably watch out for, but rape is a rare thing in comics and is seldom done in an exploitative way." ron marz himself responds to alex's death!
Tumblr media
because fridging isn't about one death. it's about a trend of awful things happening to women, often far more awful and gratuitous than happens to men, at a far more frequent rate. but fridging also doesn't mean that every individual death or disability is a problem or than individual deaths and disability shouldn't happen. the problem is the sum of the parts, not that this one character was used one time specifically to give pain to another character.
which is why the fridging conversation generally doesn't and can't cover a lot of protagonist male characters--because of the ways their deaths are usually handled with grace, autonomy, guarantee of long term grieving, and a dignity that women characters aren't afforded. it's why, though, you can use the fridging problem as a baseline model for how characters of color and infants often are treated in comparison & why those of far more apt comparisons--because they're often used in similar, concerningly frequent ways to affect protagonist characters with no consideration to the thought there may be a larger problem at hand there. (consider war games: an event designed specifically to cut down what was considered excessive bloat of the batfamily designed to kill off steph & gavin king. why, when the decision to kill them off was made was steph even given consideration of a heroic swan song arc where she was given the reward of robin as a consolation prize for her upcoming death & an entire heroic redemption arc from making a mistake -> fighting to rectify that mistake and learning the true meaning of her heroism while gavin king is not given any consideration in his own death--he was a pawn in a plan he was unaware of, there only to get his throat slit & his identity used for evil)

I want to read an absolutely ridiculous Gt soulmates!au.
Like, picture this.
You're going about your day, and bump into someone on the street. You turn to say something but they make some snotty comment and you get into a bit of a confrontation with them. Nothing serious but enough that it leaves you in a foul mood.
What a cold personality. Who raised someone who could be that rude to a stranger? Maybe you fantasize a little about them tripping into a puddle. You definitely replay that argument over in your head a few times, wishing you could replay that moment and say that banger of a comeback you thought of just a smidge too late.
As the day passes, this mood lingers. Isn't it funny how one bad interaction can just ruin a perfectly good d-
You hear a yelp.
You turn to face the direction, and it's like the world falls out from underneath your feet. You almost missed them initially, but you caught the movement at the very periphery of your vision. That nasty person from earlier stands right at your feet, tiny ... and absolutely terrified.
No.
No. No. No. No.
Not them.
Why them??
It wasn't supposed to go like this! You'd spent so long daydreaming of the day you'd meet your soulmate. It was supposed to be cute and fun. Maybe a little awkward, but this???
You feel your stomach in knots as you look at them. A thought that a piece of your soul that small was with them right now was chilling. Maybe it was a mistake? Could you accidentally drop a bit of your soul?
You sigh. As much as you want to doubt it, you know there's no doubting... something to do with compatible frequencies that create an attraction? You never paid much attention during that class in high-school...
You bend down to get a better look at them. They aren't bad looking... quite the opposite... and at this size? They're pretty cute. You take a deep breath. Everybody had bad days, right? They're probably-
"This has got to be a mistake."
Nope. That's it. They suck.
------
OK OK OK LIKE???
When you meet your soulmate this sort of metaphysical reaction occurs where the souls have complimentary frequencies and this somehow acts as a sort of magnetic reaction, pulling a small bit of someone's soul away from their whole. That small bit of the soul then physically manifests as them.
BASICALLY, soulmate au where your soulmate finds a tiny version of you, and vice versa.
You don't share a consciousness with your shed bit of soul, maybe some kind of shared dreams or something, so you have no idea what some part of you is dealing with.
AHH I love it. It's stupid and silly and adorable.
Angst potential?? Fluff potential?? CONSTANT SIZE SWAP DYNAMICS???
I beg of thee
Please use this silly au.
SoulSwap au? SoulShard? I dunno.
If anyone has any cutesy names for this, please share

(( Minors DO NOT INTERACT! !!! ))
Al Haitham was smart, you’d give him that. Still, you sometimes disliked how he acted as though he knew everything. As smart as he was, he could be rather inept when it came to speaking to others, which was exactly how you’d landed in this situation…
You’d had one job; accompany the Scribe.
You could at least say you’d stuck with him, though that hardly made you feel better about your current situation…
The two of you were currently stuck in Dori’s storeroom. Al Haitham had gotten into an argument with the merchant, and she’d opted to lock the two of you in, with the condition of letting you out when he apologized.
You didn’t think it was quite fair that you were written off as ‘collateral damage’ so quickly, but Dori was rather bullheaded. She wasn’t the type to hold herself back, if it meant she’d get something, and she seemed to really want that apology.
You sighed, observing the door.
“Okay, Mr. Know it all… Is there any way to pick this thing?” You asked, your tone thick with sarcasm.
Al Haitham shook his head, irritation evident on his face.
“No. As obnoxious as Dori is, she’s one of the most wanted traders for a reason. She wouldn’t lock us in here, especially me, if she didn’t have a means to keep us…”
Al Haitham explained, shuffling around in his bag for something. You glanced at him curiously, wondering if perhaps, he had some sort of hidden weapon. Whatever was fine, so long as it helped get you both out…
Then—
He pulled out a book.
Your brow twitched, and you stared at him unimpressed. “Just apologize.” You spoke, your tone clipped.
Al Haitham didn’t even bother looking up, opting to turn the next page of his book.
You withheld the urge to snatch the book, instead furrowing your brows in thought. You’d figure it out yourself, and then—
He could stay in here without you. You doubted you could surpass Al Haitham in a battle of pure strength, but you were quick. It came with the territory of wielding an electro vision.
Should you manage to get the door opened, you were confident you could manage to slam it in the prideful scribe’s face.
“Ah well, the prouder they are the harder they fall…”. You muttered to yourself, going back to observe the door.
Dori used electro as well, right?
Well, it was worth a try.
You narrowed your eyes, channeling your visions energy into the doorknob, as though it were a monument.
You noticed the scribe look up from his book, and resisted the growing urge to poke at him. You knew it wasn’t the time for verbal jabs, yet you couldn’t help but feel slightly frustrated.
The doorknob rattled and for a moment you were sure you’d done it, but then the rattling stopped. You sighed, running a hand through your hair. The scribe looked at the doorknob and then you, and laughed. Your lips formed a snarl, as the last of your cool slipped. Slight static built up in the air around you, likely due to your frustration affecting your electro vision.
“You think this is funny?” You spoke, your tone a masked calm.
Al Haitham raised a brow, setting down the book. His gaze met yours, and he smirked vindictively.
“It’s amusing. You’re trying incredibly hard. I wouldn’t have thought of it being vision related, but regardless… The doorknob is likely adapted to a certain frequency. More likely than not, a frequency designed to mimic how Dori controls her vision. As skilled as you are, given you haven’t seen her fighting style, you likely wouldn’t be able to replicate it.”
You processed his words, before sighing.
“Apologize.” You said, your tone soft with rage.
Al Haitham met your gaze defiantly, “No, I will not. Everything I said to Dori was the truth.”
His gaze trailed to the book, and you knew exactly what he was thinking of doing, so you moved.
You used a small burst of electro to enhance your speed, flashing across Al Haitham’s side, before snatching the book.
Satisfaction bubbled up in you, seeing the surprise that briefly passed his face.
You’d caught him off guard.
Good.
You likely wouldn’t have succeeded, had he be on guard against you. You scanned the back of the book, looking for a description, before sighing. You gestured towards Al Haitham, your gaze still on the overview of the book.
“I’m not surprised you’re bad with people, if this is your choice of literature. People aren’t like equations, though they’re just as complicated. Still, no human is quite this dry… Except, perhaps you…”
You spoke, your tone a blend of irritation and amusement.
Al Haitham glowered, stepping forward, his shadow enveloping your form.
“My book.” He spoke, his expression dark.
You rolled your eyes, slightly amused at the intimidation tactic. It may work on those he was unfamiliar with, but you’d had the unfortunate pleasure of playing babysitter for the past month.
You grinned at him, scanning the first pages’ content. “What about your book?”
Al Haitham’s brow twitched, and you donned an expression of mock disappointment.
“I’d thought the Akademyia’s scribe would have a more expansive vocabulary. What about your book, Al Haitham?” You goaded, hoping for him to take the bait.
Al Haitham’s hand caught your wrist, and he attempted to pull the book from your hand.
You grinned, channeling energy from your vision into the book, as though it were a catalyst.
Al Haitham pulled his hand back, his eyes narrowed in irritation.
You laughed at that, observing the frustration evident on his face.
“It’s irritating, isn’t it?” You asked, and he met your question with a deadly glare.
“Beyond irritating…” He bit out, his tone chilly.
You nodded, humming to yourself.
“Well, now you know how I feel~! You should apologize.” You said, your tone light.
Al Haitham crossed his arms, still glaring at you.
“I refuse. Unless, perhaps… You return my book.”
You laughed at his response.
“Why should I do that? I’ll give you your book after you apologize and we get out, or in a couple of days if you don’t. Maybeee I’ll wait a few weeks or months… Hmmm.”
You rebuked his statement, taking pleasure in the way his eyes narrowed.
“I can always get another copy.” He said, returning to his seat with an icy expression.
You grinned, looking at the book in your hands.
“That’s great~! If you can get another copy easily, it won’t hurt anything if I fry this one, right? I’m starting to get bored cooped up in here.”
Al Haitham’s eyes narrowed, his gaze falling on the book in your hand.
“Do not fry it.”
You rolled your eyes, before flipping through a few more of its pages, tauntingly.
Al Haitham took the bait, stepping forward. His face was incredibly close to yours, and you grinned.
“Man, Al Haitham. I never knew you were so forward. Consider me flattered and all that~!”
You quipped, your tone light.
Al Haitham scoffed, his gaze narrowed.
“You act as though you could live up to my standards.” He rebuked, and you smirked.
“Is that a challenge or an insult?”
You asked, and Al Haitham’s eyes widened a fraction before he leaned in closer.
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” He returned, his tone silky.
You grinned up at him, meeting his look head on.
“I’ll pass.” You responded, a cheeky grin on your face.
You stepped back, flipping through the book once more. It really was boring.
Suddenly, a hand obscured your view of the pages. You rolled your eyes, glancing at Al Haitham, your expression unamused.
“Why’d you go through all that effort to rile me up, only to pass in the end?”
Oh, so that’s what this was about.
He wasn’t used to others saying ‘no’ , was he? Al Haitham was usually at the top of the food chain, so it wasn’t surprising.
“Says the one who has ‘standards’.” You responded, the jest falling easily from your lips.
Al Haitham’s eyes narrowed and his hand’s weight on the grew heavier.
Your eyes narrowed, as you glanced up at him.
“Fine, Al Haitham. I’ll prove to you that your standards are low.”
Al Haitham raised a brow, his expression one of amusement. “I doubt it. It takes a lot to live up to my expectations, especially in this regard.”
You hummed, glancing at the door, a wicked smile making its way to your face.
“If I prove you wrong, you apologize to Dori. How’s that sound? If you prove me wrong, I’ll return your book and I’ll take my leave for a week, so you won’t have to deal with me during that time.”
You wagered, your tone amused.
Al Haitham smirked, “You’re rather confident, aren’t you? Fine. Let’s see you back up those claims.”
You grinned, pulling off your top and slipping off your bottoms.
“Back at you, Scribe.”
Al Haitham scowled in response, harshly tugging off his clothing.
You smirked, bringing your hand to cup his cheek. You pulled his face forward harshly in a display of strength, that surprised even you.
Al Haitham’s eyes narrowed as you slammed your lips into his with a passionate fervor.
He returned the kiss, slightly frenzied.
You met his challenge, pressing yourself closer to his form, and digging your fingers into the skin of his cheek. You let your tongue trail across his bottom lip, before biting down on it.
Al Haitham’s eyes narrowed, and his lips twitched, yet he made no move to open his mouth.
He was making it hard, but that was fine—
You could work with that.
You slipped your hand down towards his back, harshly pinching his butt, before using the same hand to teasingly flit across his lower back.
Al Haitham’s mouth parted in surprise and you slipped your tongue in, feeling incredibly triumphant. Al Haitham’s tongue slid across yours, and suddenly his hand was gripping your shoulder. You drew your hand up from his back, snaking it around the wrist of the hand on your shoulder, and tugged—
Al Haitham stumbled closer to you, allowing you easier access to his form. You grinned, slightly feral, before teasingly pressing your leg against his cock.
Al Haitham’s lips parted once more, as he huffed slightly. You grinned up at him, pressing your leg down harder.
You let your trail down towards his inner thigh, as you lightly caressed his bare skin with your fingers.
Al Haitham jerked at the contact, and you smirked deviously, before pressing your entire body closer to his form.
“You’re…stubborn…”
He breathed out, his tone a low rasp.
You could feel the muscles in his body tense, and anticipation sparked within you.
You slowly trailed one of your fingers tantalizingly close to his privates, a vicious smile on your face.
“You’re one to talk… Apologize.”
Al Haitham grit his teeth, and you pressed your leg down harder, subsequently wrapping a hand around his member.
Al Haitham growled, his form slackening.
“I…apologize…”
At that moment, the door swung open—

Disco-Spider OC Asks - Part 2
Know: How well does your OC know themself—their wants, their goals, their motivations? Do they engage in any sort of self-reflection? Is there anything about themself they willfully ignore?
For the most part, Disco knows what she wants, and what means the most to her. She a communist - raised Marxist - and she cares about the health of the community over the health of herself. That leads to little self-reflection on her needs and wants. She's always in motion, so it's easy to just 'never have the time'. She'll willfully ignore her own wants for the Spider Society, and Miguel, and sometimes that backfires.
Intimacy: Is your OC the type of person to engage in long-term relationships, or are they more casual in their intimacy and affection? How do they feel about intimacy and relationships in general?
Unlike some people, Diane loves consistency. But she loves independence as a black woman too. She's poly, and not really for labels - not until she knows it's serious. Disco operates under the no-face-no-case model. When it comes to intimacy, she's surprisingly private. With Spider Society heavily regulating things like 'canon romances', and with Jess on her ass 24/7, it's just easier that way. And more fun in her opinion. The whole 'lovey-dovey groupie persona is a good cover for this'. Hobie and Diane aren't outwardly romantic, don't have a name for what they are, and if asked Hobie will say 'She's my bird.' and Diane will say 'I know him.' or 'We talk.'
Partner: Does your OC currently have a partner? Multiple partners? How did they meet, and what is that relationship like?
It's complicated.
Contrary to what they'll let on, Hobie and Diane have dated in the past. And they fought for two weeks straight, recorded a great album, then broke up. Immediately after, they were back to normal, and back to their normal flirting. They just suck at labels. Only Gwen knows about this. Most of the arguments stemmed from the fact that Hobie deeply dislikes Diane's dedication to the society. And over time he tells her that they're purposely taking advantage of her. But in her eyes, Jess is like her family - she assumes they just want what's best for her. And thing can get heated when Hobie says that canon events aren't real. She says it makes her feel like her pain means nothing. But Diane and Hobie are close in a lot of ways. Both are far leftists, with experience in oppressive governments. They're both from the same era. And the thing they bond most over, is their music The two of them are huge muses for each other - even though the music they make is completely different from each other. While Diane plays smooth funk and Hobie plays hard rock, they're both a big part of the others creative process. Every now and again they'll feature as bass or guitar on the other's songs, or Disco will do uncredited vocals - but they're no Cher and Sonny. They're not each other's supporting act, but each other's biggest fans. Which is like, the perfect way to describe their relationship. Even if they're not dating, they're kinda riding each other's frequency. If you've ever seen Morgan and Garcia from Criminal Minds, it's like that. Except sometimes they make-out at parties if they get really drunk. Diane finally breaks out of the Society's coding and leaves shortly after Gwen gets sent home. She's still adjusting to losing her 'family' and place in the society. But she's thankful to Hobie for his help and honesty, so they're going from there

•Smudging
According to the Chopra Center, “If you’re feeling stuck, negative, sluggish, or even downright depressed, it may be due to some stagnant energy in your field.”
And by field, they mean anything from your emotional, energetic, mental, spiritual or physical body to your environment, which, of course, includes your home, office, or any other space. As the studies show, being around negative energy can be extremely detrimental to your health—mental and physical. One way to remove this stagnant energy is by “smudging.” The art of smudging dates back to ancient times and includes burning sacred plants to clear and bless a space. The smoke that results from burning plants like tobacco, cedar, sweet grass, juniper, pine needles, cypress, lavender, frankincense,
One way to remove this stagnant energy is by “smudging.” The art of smudging dates back to ancient times and includes burning sacred plants to clear and bless a space. The smoke that results from burning plants like tobacco, cedar, sweet grass, juniper, pine needles, cypress, lavender, frankincense, rosemary, and sage, is shown to actually cleanse the air of impurities, including bacteria and viruses. You can “smudge” your space any time you feel like it needs to be cleared.
A good time to smudge an area is when you move into a new home, when you begin a new job or career, after a guest leaves your home, before you meditate or after there has been an argument or someone has been sick. You can buy pre-made dried herbs in a smudging stick or you can dry your own. Place them in an aluminum bowl and light the herbs. Blow the flame out gently as you would when you are creating cinders for a fire. As the cinders burn they will release a smoke that will cleanse the air. Carefully walk from room to room, letting the smoke waft through your space. When you are finished, make sure the cinders have died out. This will help attract positive energy into your space.
•Essential Oil Diffusers
Much like smudging, the heated oils release their cleansing properties into the air, clearing the space of negative energy, including any viruses and bacteria. Essential oils have been used for thousands of years to raise your vibrational frequency.
Oils that are known to help include:
•Peppermint—An effective astringent that can clear tension and negative energies. Also a great oil for relieving headaches.
•Frankincense—A Biblical oil known for purification of any negative influences.
•Myrrh—Another ancient oil good for purifying your environment. When combined with other oils, myrrh can increase their potency.
•Rose–One of the highest vibrational frequency oils.
•Cypress—Great for purifying and raising your vibration while grounding and protecting you and your home.
•Cedarwood—A wonderful oil to counter excessive negative energies.
•Basil—A sacred oil known worldwide for its protective properties.
•Juniper—Cleanses negative energies that can affect your health while transforming any negative emotions into positive ones.
•Lavender—Good for removing stubborn energies and for neutralize negative frequencies. A well-known calming agent.
•Sage—A popular oil for neutralizing existing negativity energy.
•Palo Santo—A potent oil that helps clear your home of negative energy while bringing good luck!

Hellooooo 16 and 20 for the ask game please and thanks!
I've got two of these writer asks lingering in my inbox because both asked the meta question (20), and although I answered it here for a chapter of Nova, Baby, I've also been like, I should do meta on different fics! So it's taken me a bit to get around to them. But thank you for asking!
16. Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)
I don't think I've tried anything TOO new since I started writing for RWRB, honestly. I'm trying to write more silly short fics, though, and there are some prompt scenarios in my inbox now that will definitely stretch my creative muscles (like the STI clinic meet cute, lmao).
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
A bit of meta for All for a Taste of the Honey (aka FBI agents and stripper!Henry).
I have to admit when stripper!Henry swept the Brownstone, I did not think I would be participating. That's definitely a genre I don't usually write in. But then my brain gave me undercover-as-a-stripper as a concept, and undercover missions?? Now that's a genre I know. I chose FBI agents because I was in the middle of writing a CIA/MI6 AU (fun fact, I actually left @celeritas2997 and @cricketnationrise on a big cliffhanger in my docs and took a break to write this fic, lmao. I'm amazed they didn't murder me), and didn't want to overlap with that, but FBI agents was closer to spies than detectives or something. I just love writing bickering partners who are actually in love but just don't know it yet, and this was ripe for that.
(Spoilers below)
As with any undercover as a stripper trope fic worth its salt, the whole point of this one was to get Alex to have a breakdown over Henry stripping. Not just the taking off clothes and gyrating on stage, but the whole competency kink thing, because Henry's actually good at it. Also an excuse to put Henry in a slutty Navy uniform; the American flag briefs were chosen for maximum psychic damage to Alex. I like to think Henry kept them for the future and deploys them when he wants something.
Looking at this fic again, I think the part where Alex watches Henry come out on stage might be my highest frequency of italicized words in text ever. 😂 This boy was really suffering.
“Straight like you’re straight?” Henry asks smugly, like the absolute asshole he is. Alex hates him so much right now. “Or actually straight?”
I'm pretty sure this is everyone's favorite line based on how often it got quoted back to me in the comments, and it's mine too. Something about cocky, teasing Henry just gets to me.
I love Alex having a slow bisexual crisis, and I also love him getting hit over the head with a 2x4. This is the latter.
Henry had caught a small-caliber round to the gut on what should have been a simple sting, and Alex had not taken it particularly well. There’d been no real reason for him to linger at Henry’s bedside in the hospital, even though he’d desperately wanted to.
Just me hinting at one of my favorite tropes to write, the ol' sitting by the hospital bed of your injured partner standard. Often leads to feelings realizations. In people who aren't as dense as ACD.
The scene where Alex busts into the back room was probably the hardest part of this fic to write, because I needed Alex back there without raising too much of a ruckus, but I also needed Vega's security to be tight. Alex's distraction + quiet takedown of the bodyguards is very much a Michael Weston (Burn Notice) move.
“Apologies,” Henry says to the other dancers as they go. “Pleasure working with you. You were all very lovely.”
Henry being a Polite King delights me to no end.
The car chase + argument scene was possibly my second favorite part to write after Alex losing it in the club. For some reason I find car chases actually quite easy to write; I'd just written a really big one for a fic in a different fandom, so it was fresh in my mind I guess. I also love their fight over Alex being overprotective. I do remember hemming and hawing a bit at their words to make sure it wasn't too similar to one of their Alex-being-overprotective fights from Nova, Baby. (Yes, Alex being overprotective, especially when Henry doesn't need protecting, is a big fave of mine.)
then he’s climbing across the center console and into Alex’s lap, somehow managing to not bump into the car horn as he does so.
I spent too long thinking about if this (and everything that follows) is actually possible. I googled photos of cars. We're going to pretend that it is.
Henry’s hands sink into his curls
Pretty sure every fic I've ever written about them includes this line. I love being vindicated.
All right, I think that's all I've got for now! Thanks again for the ask!

Yes yes yes to all of your points about jegulus and the capitalism of fandom as a whole. I find the whole thing so interesting in a mildly terrifying way lmao
One thing I’ve noticed with jegulus on TikTok that I’ve never really registered seeing with another ship (tho I could obviously be wrong, thx algorithm) is that people advertise their fics in a way I’ve not really seen before in forms of countdowns and trailers pre posting. And yes be proud of what you’ve created, I am the biggest supporter of tooting your own horn but sometimes it feels a little… off to me. Like almost like people are viewing fic writing as becoming ‘content creators’ and trying to go viral with these pieces of work in the same way that art and TikToks goes viral. And with the marauders and jegulus in particular being such a TikTok heavy fandom (as you pointed out in your essay) maybe that’s why it’s more apparent, because a lot more people interacting with this subsection of the fandom have been ‘raised’ (for lack of a better word) to view the internet as a place where the point is to go viral and become well known, so to create art for the sake of creation is an entirely alien concept. So why would you not make a trailer for your story and post it half a dozen times to TikTok?
And then pair that with jegulus having fewer works than bigger ships which means that the ‘bigger’ fics are known and read by the majority, which ultimately means that people have a better chance of going ‘viral’ if they post a story with that pairing compared to wolfstar where the competition is higher.
I’ve never really kept a track of these fics that are advertised and hyped up before chapters are posted, but I would be interested in how many are abandoned if and when the author doesn’t get a barrage of kudos and comments, and the subsequent serotonin boost with it.
Sorry this ask doesn’t really have much of a point or direction, (and I’m not even sure if it even made much sense ☠️) it’s just something I’ve been noticing with increasing frequency recently and I was wondering if you had any thoughts, as you write your points and arguments so well!!
anon i literally want to kiss u on the mouth u brought up sooooo many good points!! yes i have so so so many thoughts about this maybe i need to make a separate post bc like....ive talked so much about the way that like. people interact as readers with the like tiktok/social media/influencer mindset but ive definitely seen it crop up with people who write fanfic too. and the thing is bc there aren't really cleanly delineated boundaries between readers + writers of fanfic (like....most of the writers are also readers, and many of the readers are also writers) it definitely comes from both sides.
i think for anyone who has like. internalized this mentality that art must be validated by an audience to be worthwhile and that you can only be Seen by turning urself into content for consumption it's very easy to approach fanfiction with a mindset stuck in a consumer economy. and like. that isn't a moral failing, because we are literally all being conditioned to think of any creative pursuit as something that is only worthwhile if it can be turned into Profitable Content. but i DO think it's important to recognize when we're falling into that mindset, because fanfiction is so antithetical to it. and also just like....i don't think any of these people who are approaching fanfiction with this underlying idea that they need to curate an audience for validation will be able to find deep or lasting joy, because if your primary motivation in writing is just to get as many eyes on it as possible, then like....idk. it will never be enough. there will always be someone with a more popular story, with more people reading it.
and like. i actually mentioned this in my little tiktokification essay that escaped confinement, and i got a bunch of responses of people in the tags or reblogs going "there is NOTHING WRONG with wanting to share your work and wanting people to read it!!!" and i was like...i didn't say there was anything wrong with it?? i said if your primary motivation in creating art is just to get as many eyes on it as possible, you probably will not find lasting joy in the creation of that art. so :/
anyway now i think i want to write another essay so thank u for that anon lmao

"Dog Fighting is a key skill for pilots in this job. You are the best of the best and right now, this is your chance to prove it. I'm going to be here with all the others listening on the radio, right now, I'm just here to assist Captain Mitchell," She explained.
Pete nodded, standing in the front of the group with her. He looked over at Bradley, seeing the soft look of yearning on his face as he gazed up at Robin.
He knew of the past that the two shared, he had heard all about the ways that Bradley broke her heart after their summer together. But he also knew Bradley, that there was
"Payback and Fanboy, Hangman, let's go," Maverick said and the three followed him towards their jets.
The rest were still lingering, waiting to be told where to go. Robin sighed, turning to the group,"If you'd like to follow me, we're going to the comms room," Robin said
She brought them to the large room and she sat down next to the radio, changing the frequency until she heard Peter's voice, "I copy Maverick, you ready?" She asked.
"Always," he said.
"Whoever gets shot first has to do 200 push ups," Payback announced over the lines.
Hangman scoffed, "You're on," he said.
They could hear the group conversing over the radio and within a matter of minutes, they could hear the loud beeping of the target go off and they knew that Payback and Fanboy had 'died. The others laughed, making comments on how it was inevitable for them to go down.
Hangman had been targeted a minute later, Maverick having managed to get both of them. The man walked in with his head hung low a few minutes later with Maverick trailing behind him, his signature cocky smirk on his face.
They looked out of the window to where Payback and Fanboy were on the deck doing press ups, another man watching over him.
"Who's up next?" Maverick asked, raising an eyebrow at the initiates. Robin smiled to herself, chucking at everyone's opposition to going in the sky.
Maverick chose the others as well as Phoenix and Bob. They went out and like the others were decimated.
Robin kept communicating with the group when they were on the radio, helping out with Maverick and every time somebody would come in the room frustrated and each time somebody else would go outside and wear themselves out with the 200 pushup.
Eventually, it was Rooster's turn to go up into the sky and spar off against Maverick. She knew that something could go wrong with the history between those two and with the way the two men were looking at each other, she was sure something was going to go wrong.
The two men left, leaving Robin and a few other in the room, "I have a bad feeling about this," Natasha said as she looked at Robin, the two girls sharing a worried glance.
They had only been in the sky for a short amount of time before the two boys began to argue, even though it sounded more like two children bickering with one another, and Robin realised her worst fears had come true.
The radios began to glitch but the last thing he heard was Bradley telling Pete that it was on before she heard the alarm of the hard deck being broken sound through the radio.
"May I remind you boys that the hard deck is 6000?" She said into the mic of the radio. Her job is to monitor what's going on and this is definitely wrong.
She got no response but as she looked out of the window she saw the two planes spinning around each other as they began to descend.
Robin shook her head. If there was one thing that she knew about Bradley, it was that he was stubborn. He wasn't going to be the first one to pull up, especially against Pete.
"Gentleman, you're now approaching 2000, pull up," she continued to speak into the mic.
Robin tapped her foot against the floor, rolling her eyes as she realised that they were both ignoring her and there was no way that they were going to stop. They were testing each other and she could see that this wasn't going to go well if it continued.
"They're not stopping," Natasha said as she looked out the window, turning back to look at Robin.
She groaned, picking up the mic, "This is Benjamin, you're both approaching less than 1000 altitude. You're both going to pull up now! And that's an order!" She announced, this time firm in her decision, that this wasn't going to be happening under her watch.
"Give me a minute, Dime," Bradley's voice said over the mic. She could tell it was strained, almost like he was putting all of his effort into holding the plane in its position.
Pete pulled up first as they reached around 500, Bradley pulling up just a second later.
Robin let out a breath that she had been holding in and shook her head as she watched the planes hover in the sky for a second.
"You're heading back right now, both of you," she ordered and this time they followed her orders as they began to head back to their spaces.
She turned back to the group, watching as they all looked at her. She was sure that none of them took her seriously until that moment but now they seemed sure of her place in the mission.
"You're all dismissed. Good job today everyone," she said, everyone nodding as they began to walk out of the room. She was the last to leave, locking the door behind her as she prepared to yell at the boys.
Robin was angry about what he had done with Pete. It was reckless and neither of them realise the full extent of their actions and how it could have gotten both of them (and their expensive planes) in danger.
She began to storm across the hangar, ignoring the looks from those that worked there as she made her way to the flight deck. She could see Bradley and Hondo in the distance in the warm colouring of the California sunset.
Hondo looked up at her as she began to approach and he waved. Bradley looked up as much as he could from where he was doing press ups on the floor. He ignored her, continuing to get the last of his press ups done.
She looked away from his body in the white tank top. She could see his muscles rippling in his arms with every press and the hard muscles on his back through the thin white fabric that was slightly soaked with sweat.
"I'll take it from here Hondo, you can go home now," she said with a polite smile.
He nodded his head, "Sure, you have a nice night ma'am," he said and she replied with a similar thing before watching him walk away.
She looked down at him, arms folded across her chest,"You don't tell me what you can or cannot do. There are rules about the hard deck for a reason," she explained.
He continued to do press ups as he would occasionally glance up at her, "I didn't think that it was going to be that big of an issue okay, you don't need to act like my mother," he explained.
Bradley grunted as he lowered himself down again, muttering a number to himself. She felt her cheeks go warm, recognising the sound even after so long. She took a deep breath, allowing her annoyance to cover her lust feelings for Bradley.
"I'm your superior here Bradshaw!" She announced and he jumped up. His body was sweaty so that it made his skin glow in the setting sun and his dark brown hair stuck to his forehead.
She wanted to look away as he wiped it off so that he didn't see the reddening in her cheeks but she kept her eyes on his, holding her ground. Even with her heels on he was taller but she didn't budge, looking up at him as he challenged her authority.
"I'm sorry love, I think that I am the Lieutenant here," he said with a smirk before he began to walk away.
She scoffed, rushing after him, "First off Lieutenant, I'm the one in charge here to make sure this mission goes smoothly. Second, you don't address me like that in our work space,"
He smirked, "Then where can I address you like that?" he questioned, putting his sunglasses back on before continuing to walk.
Robin spluttered slightly, cheeks heating up as she continued to walk with him, "That's not appropriate for work Lieutenant," she stated and he just continued to smile, knowing he had pushed all the right buttons to wind her up.
"I think you took that the wrong way Officer, it was an innocent question,"
She scoffed, "Innocent question my ass," she muttered under her breath, continuing to walk with him back to the headquarters and away from the setting sun.
He paused before they reached the door, pulling his sunglasses off as he looked down at her, "Why don't I come round yours tonight? We can talk over what I can and cannot say in work," he suggested, lip quirked up in a smirk.
"Whatever Bradshaw, here's my address," she said, scribbling it on a piece of paper before storming off, heels clicking on the floor.
He watched as she walked away, hips swaying slightly. His eyes flicked down to look at the paper and his smile fell as he thought about their summer together.

This is an ill-advised rant that is just thoughts and based on conversations with people in my life rather than any actual research. I'll likely delete it but I'm just feeling a certain way and need to write it out so that I can get past it.
I'm so sick of hearing that people understand information bubbles. It feels like a straw man, that thing you mention at the beginning of an essay of I'm acknowledging that some people say x, so as to lend some apparent credibility to my entirely ignoring that in favor of what I want to say.
Acknowledging that information bubbles exist is not the same thing as understanding them or seeing your own.
How is it that I could write a list of wedge issues and know for a fact where my brother and my mom will fall on every single one of them? How is it possible that people raised in the same family structure the same socio-economic structure the same geographical location, who had access to the same education, who have had all the same privileges of their race, whose core morality is so similar would fall on opposing sides of every single one of them?
Isn't it strange that each of them are able to believe starkly in an agenda that contradicts itself? Shouldn't, if one were to go to the core of each issue, people who advocate for gun rights and abortion rights be on the same side of the argument? Both are about personal sovereignty and the ability to protect oneself from an overbearing government or other outside threat. Is there not some disconnect that disallows people on either side of both arguments to see that rationale in the other? What makes them both cling to stories of the worst perpetrators abusing their rights, yet be able to accuse the other of doing so without seeing it in their own arguments?
How is it possible that a country as vast as the United States of America can be split into two parties? Yes, those parties are 'diverse', full of factions and co-opting by their most vocal and and opinionated members, but if one were to poll the average voter from both on that same list of wedge issues, it is likely that their answers would be the same as my brother and mom's.
How does that happen? How did we make that decision? I refuse to believe that it is because democrats are soft and republicans are cruel. Often people who try to define either party as such are misdirecting you from looking too closely at their own.
People seem to think that the information bubble is just about what slant your news has, but that is only the first piece of it. The biggest, that I've seen, is frequency. It is not just how an issue is discussed, but how often an issue is discussed. What is that mark of demarcation? What takes a story from an oh that is such a weird thing! to this is a problem threatening our children and our country? How many articles and sound bites and podcasts are required to galvanize a base? How many single sentences from 250 page reports are required to convince whole swaths of the population of dangerous misinformation?
Brainwashing is a term that is used lightly and often, as a way of separating ourselves from those that we deem radicalized. In some cases, to horrifying results, it is absolutely true. But to use it so liberally (ha!) is harmful, because it allows us to presume an intellectual or moral superiority which only furthers the chasm, and makes the gap that much harder to bridge.
I know I know, the irrational man says meet me in the middle and you take a step forward and he takes a step back. I get it. I am not equating anything. I am firmly on one side of each of those wedge issues and nearly all of them fall along party lines. I am not superior, I am susceptible, but I am trying, and I wish more people in my life were doing the same.

born 95’ in gwasuwon. he’s local. his parents are born and raised. his parents live a bit further out towards the country side more than they do central. his father is a mechanic and the type to refuse help from anyone else because he wants to figure it out himself. there’s numerous times in which yijoon has (reluctantly) held up a flashlight while his dad tries to figure out something outside of his skillset. his mother owns a convenience store in the centre, a part of a franchise and it does well. why wouldn’t it? yijoon’s just happy she got out of her housewife days.
as a child, he became sick with a type leukemia at the age of four. the visited a local clinic which told his family there is better help to be had out on the mainland so his parents packed up their savings, left their business in trusted hands and took him to his aunt who lives in seoul. there began his treatment when he was just six years old.
a lot of his memories as a child are clouded by the frequency of which he was at the hospital and he’s quite frankly, suppressed a lot of these memories because it was overall an unpleasant time. there’s just a fog over these years, he was not there mentally and he’s left with a scar after a wonky removal of his port. but he was deemed in remission when he was nine years old and when he was fourteen he was considered healthy again. but these experiences have rendered him pretty scared of being at a hospital even if he was never mistreated.
both in between treatments he was able to return to school but he was often tired to properly play with his friends. his energy would pick up on occasion but it was not properly restored until he was finally done with his treatment and he was able to properly play with his friends (which is what he wanted 🥺)
there’s (so far) not a lot of things that make his growing up stand out – he was studious, curious, a little shy and just over all just a child. as he completed his education, he chose to proceed and study double degree in chemistry and education. this was per advice of his parents to have a back up – his original idea was to do just chemistry but they suggested teaching. he wasn’t certain he would be a good teacher, but he went with it anyways. better two plans than one.
come his university graduation, he was looking into furthering his education and dive deeper into chemistry but he got roped into teaching. the back up plan. his parents argued he shouldn’t leave the island, he should stay around and yijoon’s easily convinced but the conversation that dinner night was one he still remembers. he hates how they used his back up plan against him, leaving him with so few arguments on why he should not teach. but he caved, carrying guilt in his shoulders as he said he would look into it. his uncle works at the schools administration department, he could put a good word in. or something (he did).
somewhere along the line he did end getting engaged to the girlfriend he had from university !! she was also a local from gwasuwon (so they knew each other in high school) but she decided to stay in pohang for her career. yijoon would argue the split was pretty amicable, uneventful even.
random tidbits
halfway through his degree, he took a break to complete his military service before he returned to his studies – meaning he graduated when he was twenty four !! he's been a teacher since
he absolutely hates tomatoes, it’s just how it is. he’ll eat them out of courtesy though. and try to not make a face.
he wears the same watch every day, it was a graduation gift from his dad !!
yes he smokes. if you ask him, it’s just in social situations but alas… he has his own pack on hand if stress picks up. ironically, he only started smoking more when he became a teacher
he tries his hardest to Not stay too late at work but somehow, he ends up coming home late… this is the reason he hasn’t adopted a pet yet
he’s a cat spotter (real). if he had an active sns account it would be just about the cats he spots when out and about.
surprisingly handy but his dad is a firm believer in, you can fix it yourself so it’s not weird that he followed those footsteps
plots & connections
co-workers !! this one’s pretty given but if there’s any other people who work at tv valley pls hmu…
classmates ! this could either be from when they both studied in pohang or it could have been from when they were kids in thyme valley (and earlier schools). it would be fun to have some friends that go back quite a bit. whether they’re awkward today or not can be completely up to us!
i want him to havea at least a few friends. So possibly a plot surrounding them helping each other out, maybe yijoon helped them out with grocery shopping when they were down with the flu or something….
maybe a… oh no we’ve bumped into each other so many times… let’s just… talk. idk.

What Benefits do Organic Crops offer?
Food that is organic may be more expensive than food that is inorganic, yet it is far better for your health as well as the environment to eat organic food. Read on to learn six compelling arguments in favour of selecting organic food, all of which are supported by factual evidence, as we discuss the benefits of organic eating in this piece of writing.
1.  Organic farming results in the production of Fresh food:
Fresh vegetables are obtained directly from farmers when it is organic. At the grocery store, on the contrary, neither the length of time the product was kept in storage before being placed on the shelves nor the length of time it was left out on the floor is known to us. Produce that has travelled from another country may also have been subjected to a long journey before it was even able to cross the border, let alone reach the supermarket. How recent could it possibly be? Every Thursday, Book My Crop, an AI-enabled Agri-tech platform where you can buy online crop seeds in India, makes a trip to the local farmer's market to acquire fresh fruit and vegetables, which it then brings directly to the doorsteps of its customers by the end of the business day. If you raised your own food, it would be the freshest stuff you could possibly eat.
2.  Organic farming results in the production of food with higher nutrition:
It should not come as much of a surprise that food produced through organic farming is healthful. The British Nutrition Journal published a study that found that organic foods have higher quantities of antioxidants than foods that were grown using conventional farming methods. In the past, the consumption of antioxidants was linked to a reduced risk of acquiring chronic diseases like neurodegenerative disorders and certain forms of cancer. The study concluded that meeting this goal was equivalent to increasing daily fruit and vegetable consumption by one to two servings.
3.  Organic Foods are next to Chemical-Free:
It's common knowledge that the average person ought to consume at least five servings of veggies and fruits every single day. In point of fact, it is recommended that you consume at least ten, but were you aware that produce grown using conventional farming methods may contain significant levels of metals as well as pesticides than the organic produce? Organic agriculture is supported by a stringent certification process, and there are significant limitations placed on the use of pesticides on crops. It was discovered that conventionally grown crops had a frequency of occurrence for pesticide residues that were four times higher than organic crops. In addition, the levels of the potentially cancer-causing element cadmium were found to be 48% lower in the crops grown using organic farming methods than the conventional ones. Cadmium is considered to be a likely human carcinogen. When people who are allergic to chemicals consume organic food, they may see a reduction in the severity of their symptoms. Buy crop seeds online that are chemical free and indulge in organic farming growing chemical-free food with Book My Crop.
4.  Ingredients that have not been Genetically Modified:
Organic standards prohibit the use of any substances that have been genetically engineered, and produce that has been cultivated according to these standards is never washed with chlorine. Although genetically modified foods are not widely available in the UK, they are nonetheless used in the majority of conventional animal feeding practices. Because of this, meat, eggs, and dairy items are extremely common in supermarkets yet are rarely labelled.
5.  Organic farming benefits the climate:
Organic farming improves the health of the soil and, as a result, decreases the rate of soil degradation. Additionally, in comparison to conventional farming, it results in far reduced contamination of rivers and other waterways. The Soil Association states that making fundamental improvements to the food chain as well as adopting farming practises that are more friendly to the environment could help limit the rate of global warming below 2 degrees Celsius. In most cases, organic farming also draws in a higher variety and quantity of local animals. Pollination is essential to the growth of the majority of the crops that we consume, but unfortunately, numbers are fast falling. A number of academics feel that shifting to more environmentally friendly methods could reverse the trend because of the good impact that it has on biodiversity. On organic farms, there may be up to a 50% greater abundance of plants, insects, and wildlife.
6.  Farming using organic methods is preferable from an animal welfare standpoint:
Animals must be provided with ample room, access to pasture, and clean air, as well as be kept in settings that are consistent with their natural behaviours, in order to meet the standards set by the Soil Association for organic farmers. Because of this, farmers will not administer hormones or antibiotics to their animals. One of the most important tenets of organic farming is to practise moral treatment of the animals used in the farming process. If you are concerned about the well-being of animals, it is recommended that you give financial support to organic farming. If you are looking to buy online crop seeds in India, look no further than Book My Crop.
Eating organic food is beneficial for both you and the environment since organic farmers are required to comply with stringent legislative criteria that place an emphasis on the well-being of animals and the health of the soil.

"For most people the 17th Gift seems beyond their capacity, because to give up your viewpoint is to give up the deep-seated need of your mind to identify with something fixed. Your mind believes that in finding a fixed view or philosophy fear can be held in check and life will be under control.
And yet, the 17th Gift is not about having a great holistic vision of reality that takes no sides and is beyond opinion. The 17th Gift is a mentally dynamic Gift — it does not sit idly by with a philosophy of passive acceptance. This Gift has a purpose and that is to understand the minute mechanics of life as well as seeing the whole picture. Like its Shadow, the 17th Gift is driven by its programming partner the 18th Gift, which is Integrity. Thus the true purpose of the 17th Gift is to serve and uphold Integrity by challenging all misrepresentations of truth in the world. The very quality that leads to narrow-mindedness at the Shadow frequency has a mission to create open-mindedness at the Gift frequency.
The advantage of the 17th Gift over the mass-held opinions of the Shadow frequency is that it entails a higher form of cognition — far-sightedness. Because the 17th Gift doesn’t dictate direction in a person’s life, it is freed to do what it was always intended to do — differentiate between those patterns that lower your frequency and those that raise it. Not only does this Gift see beyond opinion, it also grasps the operating mechanism that gives rise to opinions and the human tendency to get caught up in them. It is through working with this Gift frequency that the process known as the opening of the third eye begins. The first stage in this process occurs when you see the futility of identifying with a specific opinion. This Gift brings access to a whole new inner language that circumvents the need for one-sided expression and highlights the deeper issues that underlie argument.
If you have this 17th Gene Key as an integral part of your hologenetic profile then this specific Gift of prescience can be a powerful reality for you. These people can grasp the divine mathematics of evolution and the progression of its plan. In seeing the whole plan as well as its parts, they are truly the real scientists. Unlimited by the traditional views and free to translate their deep knowing of the perfection of life however they wish, the people of the 17th Gift are the ones who will ultimately organise the next new human civilisation.
The higher frequency dimensions of the 17th Gene Key offer a view of the collective future of humanity, and it is through this foresight that the various aspects of future reality will be organised and constructed. Every individual carrying the 17th Gift oversees a specific aspect of a great evolutionary pattern moving toward unity. However, at the Gift level, your view is still restricted to a specific aspect of the overall pattern. For example, one person with the 17th Gift might see how to restructure a new economic paradigm that will serve humanity instead of dividing it. Another might see how to create a community network based on a similar model. In this way, each 17th Gift holds a fractal part of the overall jigsaw puzzle of the evolving humanity."

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎୧ ‧₊ when you give mammon a forehead kiss.
Tumblr media
꒰ 𝐌𝐃𝐍𝐈 ! ꒱
mammon is still learning to love shamelessly; he's still learning how to be adorned with adoration.
while he’s always grateful to have your arms tightly clasped around him, hugging him with all your might, he still struggles to accept all your loving gestures fully and readily. despite how much he wants to feel loved by you, despite how much he aches to feel safe in your softness, he can't help but shy away from its frequency, from the pride you exude when you slip your hand into his. but you've made it your mission to break down his apprehension.
exposure therapy. whenever you can, you press a kiss to his temple. when he's least expecting it, your small hands cup his unsuspecting cheeks, your fingertips tingling as his face flushes and warms beneath them. your thumbs stroke his soft skin, taking in a towering man turning timid for you. now is no different.
you notice he’s keeping his distance again, and that simply can’t be sustained. not while you’re around, not while your endeavor is ardency, not while you’re teeming with all the fondness you’re desperate to display for him. “come on, let’s take a nap together.” you suggest, pulling on his hand until you’re dragging him along. despite roseate cheeks giving away timidity, mammon’s rejection attempts to persist. “oi, listen! let go, yea? i got stuff to do.” he protests softly, weakly, and with little effort to stand by it, but allows himself to be tugged by you because the truth is he doesn’t want to do anything else except be yours. he wants nothing more than to be all for you. he doesn’t want you to let him go; he just wants to hear you say you want to love him instead. a soft smile and a shake of the head from you. “nope, the only thing you have to do is treat me like a tree and become my koala. let me hug and rub on you.” “me, a koala?” he raises a brow, looking away from you as if it would reduce the pressure and heat in his face. “eh, no thanks. you’re not really an adequate tree.”
pouting, you huff at his comment and grip his shirt, pulling him down until his face hovers just over yours. his lips anticipate the softness and adoration of your kiss, and as his eyes flutter closed to brace for arduous impact, he hears your amused giggle instead. there’s a sinking feeling in his gut then that begs him not to ever let you slip from his devoted grasp. when he feels your lips plant firmly against the center of his forehead, he freezes, eyes shooting open wide. your warm-blooded murmur follows. “well, i’m the best tree you’ve got so you better cling to me well, okay?” so of course, his lips clamp shut and he nods without argument or protest, gulping with a mousy expression. you draw him in for a hug then, an all-consuming one, one that makes him melt into your arms and surrender to his willingness to reciprocate. you don’t see the amused and moony smile he gives you; you never do. you don’t feel the way his heart skips a beat in his chest at the thought of crawling on top of you, being caressed and embosomed by you. even if he does suck it up and say it aloud, there won’t be enough emotion in his voice to convey it befittingly: his heart is not with him anymore.
his heart has a new chasm to dwell and meander around in. on a plot of your tenderness with a foundation of your holiness, that’s where he builds his new life and his new will. right there with you. when you lay in his bed on your back, arms expectant and open, you just look at him blankly. he tries not to smile so triumphantly knowing you’re about to wrap him up and he’s going to be laying with his head on your chest, your soft fingers raking through his hair, an endearing palm rubbing along his spine. finally, he lays down with you, sinks right into your patient and waiting embrace, nuzzling his head into the indentation of your collarbone, claiming your signature scent of cashmere and peonies for himself. it clings to you as closely as he does. “all i needed,” he sighs against your skin, a little hidden smile you don’t need to see to know is there for you. “you always make it better. every time.” there’s nowhere he’d rather be than with you. there’s no future without you by his side, without you loving him so much it makes him move. there’s no such thing as ‘in love’ if it’s not you and him, in the end.

Bankruptcy Attorney Salt Lake City
Bankruptcy Attorney Salt Lake City
You’ll need to attend a hearing or two when you file for bankruptcy. For instance, in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the court will appoint a trustee to conduct a hearing that all filers must attend the 341 meeting of creditors. If you file for Chapter 13, you or your attorney will also have to appear at a confirmation hearing. Depending on your case, you might be required to go to more hearings.
Bankruptcy Court and Trustee Responsibilities
In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing, the bankruptcy trustee sells your nonexempt property, assets that you can’t protect with a bankruptcy exemption and distributes the proceeds to creditors.
In Chapter 13, the trustee doesn’t sell your nonexempt assets. Instead, you pay the value of nonexempt assets through your repayment plan. The trustee will review your plan, however, to make sure it’s feasible and that it treats all creditors fairly. If the court confirms (approves) the plan, the trustee will disperse the monthly payments to creditors.
Bankruptcy Court and the 341 Meeting of Creditors
In both bankruptcy chapters, the trustee appointed to your case will review your paperwork and supporting documentation, such as pay stubs and tax returns. The trustee is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your petition and presiding over the meeting of creditors. When you file your case, the court will notify you and your creditors of the time and location of the 341 hearing. While the hearing might be held at the bankruptcy court, the trustee won’t hold it in a courtroom. Instead, the trustee will oversee the hearing in a conference room.
At the meeting of creditors, the trustee will verify your identity and ask you questions under oath about the contents of your bankruptcy papers. Creditors will have a chance to ask questions about your financial affairs, as well, but rarely attend the meeting. If you don’t appear, the trustee will move to dismiss your bankruptcy (more below), and you won’t receive a discharge, the order that wipes out qualifying debt.
Bankruptcy Court and the Chapter 13 Confirmation Hearing
If you file for Chapter 13, you or your attorney will have to appear at the repayment plan confirmation hearing. Before the hearing, you’ll send your proposed repayment plan to the Chapter 13 trustee and creditors. Each will have an opportunity to file a written objection. If you resolve the issue raised, the trustee or creditor will likely withdraw the objection. If not, you’ll have the opportunity to respond in writing and to advocate your position to the judge at the hearing. Unlike the 341 meeting of creditors, the judge will hold the confirmation hearing in a courtroom. The judge will consider any objections and oral argument at the confirmation hearing. If the repayment plan is approved, you’ll move forward with Chapter 13. If it isn’t, the judge will give you time to remedy the problem in all likelihood. If you’re unable to present a confirmable plan after a few tries, the judge will dismiss your case.
Additional Bankruptcy Court Hearings
Here are other hearings that occur in both Chapter 7 and 13 with some degree of frequency. If you have a car loan or mortgage, and you want to keep the house, car, or other collateral, you must make the monthly payments during bankruptcy. If you don’t, your lender can file a motion for relief from the automatic stay and ask for court permission to foreclose or repossess your property.
For instance, it isn’t uncommon for a debtor to file for Chapter 7 or 13 to stop a foreclosure or repossession. A lender who stands to lose money as a result of the automatic stay can file a motion asking the court to lift the automatic stay. You’ll have the right to oppose the motion and ask the court to hold a hearing. If the Chapter 7 trustee requires the property for the bankruptcy case, the trustee will oppose the motion, as well. At the hearing which will be held in a courtroom in front of a bankruptcy judge, the Chapter 7 trustee will explain that creditors will benefit from the liquidation of the property. The lender holding a lien will be paid in full once the property gets sold, thereby saving the lender the time and effort of foreclosure or repossession. If a Chapter 7 trustee doesn’t intend to sell the property, to defeat the motion, you’ll need to show that: • enough equity exists to protect the lender from financial harm—often referred to as an “equity cushion,” or • you can afford the monthly payments and to catch up on any missed payments. If you’re in Chapter 13, you’ll have to make adequate protection payments before your plan is confirmed. You also must make your monthly payment, and be able to catch up on arrearages through your Chapter 13 plan. Otherwise, you won’t survive the motion.
Chapter 7 Reaffirmation Hearing in Bankruptcy Court
If you file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and have a secured debt such as a car loan, you may need to reaffirm that debt if you want to keep the car. When you reaffirm a debt, you sign a new contract with the lender that makes you personally liable on the obligation despite your bankruptcy discharge. If your monthly budget shows that you can’t afford to make the monthly payments, a presumption of undue hardship arises. You’ll be required to attend a reaffirmation hearing in a courtroom in front of the judge. At the hearing, you’ll have to explain why you need the car (or any other asset you are trying to keep) and how you can afford it. The judge will decide whether to approve the reaffirmation after hearing your explanation and reviewing your finances.
Trustee’s Motion to Dismiss Hearing
The motion to dismiss arises in several situations. For instance, if you fail to make your Chapter 13 plan payments, the trustee will file a motion to dismiss your case. If you don’t file a document or a certificate of completion for a required bankruptcy course, or if you don’t show up for the 341 hearing, the trustee will likely request a dismissal.
Adversary Proceedings in Bankruptcy Court
An adversary proceeding isn’t a hearing. It’s a lawsuit filed in your bankruptcy case that a judge will conduct in a bankruptcy courtroom. If you incur debts shortly before filing for bankruptcy, hide assets, lie on your bankruptcy papers, commit fraud, or otherwise abuse the bankruptcy system, the trustee or your creditors can file a complaint and start an adversary proceeding in your case. Once the plaintiff files a complaint, you will have a certain amount of time to answer or oppose it. The court will set a discovery schedule to allow each side to collect evidence. Each party will present the case at trial.
The most common types of adversary proceedings include: • actions by the trustee to recover fraudulent or preferential transfers • complaints by creditors to have their debts declared nondischargeable because of fraud • objections to your entire discharge filed by the trustee or creditors as a result of bankruptcy fraud, and • complaints to strip junior liens from a house (only certain bankruptcy jurisdictions require an adversary proceeding to strip junior liens–others require a motion).
Proof of Claim in Bankruptcy
A proof of claim is the paperwork that a creditor must file before getting paid in a bankruptcy case. Under the bankruptcy payment system, some debts—like income tax and domestic support obligations have “priority” status and are paid before other claims. The proof of claim tells the bankruptcy trustee about the type of claim, as well as how much a creditor is owed, so the trustee can determine the amount to pay the creditor if anything.
Who Must File a Proof of Claim
All creditors who wish to be paid out of bankruptcy funds must file a proof of claim. Of course, if funds aren’t available for distribution—such as in a Chapter 7 “no-asset” case—a creditor won’t be told to file a proof of claim. That status will change if the trustee finds undisclosed assets during the review period. Then the trustee will instruct creditors to file a proof of claim.
Secured Creditors and Liens
Like all creditors, a secured creditor; such as a mortgage or vehicle lender must file a claim in order to receive money through the bankruptcy estate (with a few exceptions). However, even if the secured creditor doesn’t file a proof of claim, the creditor won’t lose its lien. When a lien is in place, the debtor can keep the property securing the debt only if the debtor remains current on the loan. If the debtor doesn’t pay as agreed, the creditor will be able to take back the property, sell it at auction, and use the funds to pay down the loan.
As a practical matter, if a secured lender doesn’t file a proof of claim in a Chapter 12 or 13 case (and won’t receive monthly plan payments), a debtor who wants to keep the property securing the claim (such as a house or car) has a couple of options.
• Pay outside of the plan. The debtor can make the payments directly to the creditor (instead of through the plan). However, if the debtor arranged to make the payment directly, it likely won’t be possible. Most of the debtor’s funds go into the plan leaving nothing left for a hefty payment. • File a proof of claim for the creditor. The debtor can file a proof of claim on behalf of the creditor. Doing so will allow the trustee to use bankruptcy plan payments to maintain the secured payment. When Must a Proof of Claim Be Filed in Chapter 7, 12, and 13 Bankruptcy Cases?
The deadline for filing a proof of claim for non-governmental creditors in a Chapter 7, 12, or Chapter 13 bankruptcy case is 70 days after the petition filing date. The first notice sent to creditors includes the deadline for filing proofs of claim. This notice informs creditors that a petition has been filed and indicates the date set for the meeting of creditors. This notice also sets the last date on which they can file objections to the discharge. Although the court doesn’t usually permit extensions once the deadline has passed, the court has the power to extend the filing time if a creditor shows extenuating circumstances.
What Must the Creditor Include in a Proof of Claim?
Here’s what the creditor must include in its proof of claim;
Formal Proof of Claim
A proof of claim must conform substantially with the official bankruptcy form, Proof of Claim (Form 410). You can download all of the official bankruptcy forms, including Form 410 from the U.S. Courts Bankruptcy Forms page.
The information a creditor will need to include is as follows: • the debtor’s name and the bankruptcy case number • the creditor’s information, including a mailing address • the amount owed as of the petition date • the basis for the claim (such as goods or services purchased, a loan or credit card balance, a personal injury or wrongful death award), and • the type of claim (secured or unsecured).
The creditor should attach supporting documentation, such as the contract, as evidence of the claim. Official attachment forms are available. Also, the creditor or an authorized representative must sign the proof of claim.
Informal Proof of Claim
Some courts will accept an informal proof of claim from a creditor if it meets five requirements: 1. the proof is in writing 2. the writing includes a demand against the bankruptcy estate 3. the writing demonstrates the intent to hold the estate liable 4. the writing is filed with the bankruptcy court, and 5. allowing the claim would be fair under the circumstances of the case.
Although a bankruptcy judge will consider these requirements, the decision about whether an informal proof of claim will be allowed is ultimately within the discretion of the bankruptcy judge.
Objecting to a Proof of Claim
The court usually accepts the proof of claim and its stated amount unless the debtor, trustee, or another interested party objects. Some of the most common reasons that someone might object to a claim include: • the amount is incorrect • the claim includes improper interest or other penalty charges • the claim indicates that it is a priority or secured claim when it is not • the creditor filed the claim for the purpose of harassing the debtor, or • the creditor did not attach supporting documentation.
What Should I Expect from a Bankruptcy Attorney?
Bankruptcy, like most legal matters, is a process and the safest route is to have an attorney guide you through the process if you want to succeed. A good bankruptcy attorney will give you peace of mind if they provide at least these four things: 1. An initial consultation – usually free! – to get an overview of your case 2. Advice on options available, including what type of bankruptcy to file 3. Completed paperwork necessary for filing bankruptcy 4. Representation when the case goes to court.
