Warriors knew Marin in the war, and figures out Legend is the Link she was always talking about. It comes out somehow that Warriors met her and Legend lights up and immediately starts hounding him for details.

...Warriors just has to figure out how to break it to him that Marin died in the war.

“Time,” he asked quietly. “How old?”

Time was silent for a long time.

“Physically... around sixteen,” he said finally, voice not more than a rasp. “Maybe seventeen. I’ve never known exactly how old I was.”

“...mentally?” Twilight asked.

Time closed his eyes, and Twilight saw him swallow, purposely not looking in his direction.

“About nine,” he croaked.

In hyrule warriors my theory is that the twilight princess area happens after tp itself based on how things are set up, but this of course begs the question of where exactly tp Link is, and my answer is that Cia goofed up and accidentally blasted him to botw’s time as a wolf
