Author’s note: This is a request I got on Wattpad ages ago but that wasn’t able to write until now because I had something like a writer’s block with everything I'm working on 🙈

It is supposed to be something like a slow morning, but I’ve never read anything like that and the lurking I did was zero inspiring, so I hope I at least managed to write something cute to read 😅

"Good morning" I yawn.

"Good morning, sunshine" Kalvin replies.

"Have you been awake for too long?"

"Half an hour."

"Half an… and why didn't you wake me up?"

"You looked too cute, I didn't want to bother you."

"So you just stared at me like a creep" I chuckle.

"Yep" he smiles.

"Have I ever told you that I love your dimples?"

"That literally was the line you used to slide into my dms, so yes, I have" he laughs.

"It wasn't a lie. And it worked, didn't it?"

"It definitely did. But wait, where are you going?" he says, grabbing my arm as I try to leave the bed.

"To the bathroom."

"Is it urgent?"

"No."

"Then come back here" Kalvin says, pulling me back to lay next to him. "It's a Sunday morning, we should take it slow."

"But we have things to do. We can't spend the whole morning cuddling in bed" I chuckle.

"It sounds like a wonderful plan to me" he shrugs.

"But we can't. We must take the dogs out for their walk, and we also need to do the food shopping. The fridge is completely empty, I don't know what we are going to eat for breakfast."

"What about each other?"

"Kalvin!" I laugh, hitting his chest.

"It was just a suggestion" he says with an innocent smile. "But I think I have a plan."

"I don't know if I like how that sounds."

"You'll like it, you'll see. We'll stay here cuddling and just chatting until our bladders can't take it anymore."

"Which will probably happen soon in my case."

"Don't think too much about it and it'll pass."

"What?"

"It works" he shrugs again. "Anyway, my plan. We cuddle in bed, and then get ready and take the dogs out for their walk. While we are at it, we stop to get some breakfast and sit in the sun, taking advantage of this glorious morning."

"It probably is freezing cold."

"But the sun is out, and that already makes it glorious. Now may I continue or do you have more comments to share with the class?" he asks with a teasing smile.

"You may continue" I chuckle.

"Thank you. Once we are done with breakfast and the dogs, we will go do the food shopping. Buy something yummy we can cook ourselves."

"Something yummy?" I say, trying not to laugh.

"Yes, yummy" Kalvin replies, sticking out his tongue. "And we should also buy a really nice bottle of wine to drink while we cook and listen to some music. Maybe have a dance around the kitchen."

"Cooking while drunk?"

"Can you please stop being a party pooper and focus on what matters?"

"Which is?"

"The aesthetics. The vibes."

"The what?" I laugh.

"The… urgh" he says, rolling his eyes. "You are just teasing me, aren't you?"

"Maybe" I shrug, trying to hide my smile.

"That's rude. I'm here trying to picture a perfect morning, and you are making fun of me."

"A little teasing in the morning never hurt anyone" I smile.

"If you say so…"

"Kalvin, what are you doing?" I say as he quickly moves to be on top of me.

"Teasing you" he grins.

"You won't dare."

"Watch me."

"No! No, no, no! Kalv!" I laugh.

"It sucks, doesn't it?" he says while tickling me.

"Stop, please!"

"Nope."

"I told you my bladder was about to explode!"

"And I told you not to think about it" he says while he keeps tickling me.

"Kalvin, please!" I laugh, tears rolling down my face.

"If you want me to stop, you have to agree on my plan for this morning."

"I agree. I do."

"Say it is perfect. What you always dreamt of. That we are couple goals."

"Yes, yes. All that. Now please stop."

"Say that you love me."

"I love you, Kalvin. And I can't wait to do all you have planned. But seriously, if you don't stop…"

"Ok" he says, finally stopping and laying down again.

"Thank you" I say, taking a deep breath. "But no more cuddles for now. I really need to pee."

"Not if I make it first to the bathroom" he grins, quickly getting up from the bed.

"Kalvin!" I complain.

"Sorry, my love" he says from the door.

"You are such a kid" I laugh.

"And that's why you love me" he replies with a smile that is all dimples before disappearing into the bathroom and closing the door behind him.

"And that's why I love you" I smile back even if he can't see me. "But don't take too long, ok?"

"Can't promise anything, I'm having a slow morning."

"Urgh" I grunt. Though my annoyance doesn't last long, and I find myself smiling again, picturing us doing everything he has planned for today and thinking that more than us being couple goals, he is boyfriend goals.

Or shall we look around?” you asked him, trying not to come across to eager. But all you wanted was food. “No it’s cool. We can all have a few things and just sit and eat it” you nodded as you liked that idea. “Yes I agree, I will get some things and you can get some too” you nodded. “Yes great idea” he laughed. Both picking up multiple food items each from all of the different food stalls. “Wait is that sushi, no” you shook your head. “Well you said you wanted to try anything. So sushi it is” you rolled your eyes. “I am not sure that sentence came out of my mouth, but I will try it just for you” you told him as you sat at one of the empty tables as Kalvin grabbed some cutlery. “I am not a fan” you groaned as you tried a small piece of sushi. He laughed. “Fine, you tried it I guess” you nodded. “I like them, glad I got that chocolate. Way better than the sushi” you laughed. “Alright, I get it. You don’t like my choices, we get it” you smirked. “Only joking babe” you laughed. - The rest of the evening was perfect, chatting for ages about absolute rubbish just getting to know each other. “Let’s go now, its pretty cold and woah look at the snow” he pointed as the snow was even heavier than what it was when the date first started. “Are we going to be okay to get home?” you asked Kalvin as you walked up to the car. “I think we will be okay” Kalvin replied as you got in the car. “Oh shit, maybe not” he looked at the phone as the car was not starting due to the snow. “Looks like a taxi or we walk for a bit” you laughed as you got out, the snow was falling really heavily as Kalvin sorted out the paying for the car as it was stuck. Kalvin stopped as he took something out of his pocket. “What’s that?” you looked at him puzzled. He kissed you on the lips as he put what he had in his hand above the two of you. “That was perfect” he mumbled as you pulled away from each other as the snow falls on your eyelashes as he took it off. “A first kiss in the snow, guessing it wasn’t much of a disaster just yet” you laughed. “No it wasn’t babe, now let’s see if we can get home” he suggested. Avery -

- Sneezes like a kitten, and most of the time she accidentally uses her fire breathe when she sneezes, so watch out

- Sleeps on a rock

- Is made uncomfortable by actual dragons, it's just... too weird for her...

- Has a strange and inexplicable extreme fear of eels

- Reacts to fear by singing/humming/speaking very loudly, and also by running and screaming (basically, how markilpler acts when playing horror games? yeah that)

- At least once a week her dad has to help her brush through her hair, he says they should get it cut but she absolutely refuses

Kalvin -

- Used to be an adventurer/ mercenary

- Huge, ripped, has all kinds of scars, but his 4" tall wife is scarier than he his, he's basically a teddy bear

- Makes potions, does restocking, inventory, and doesn't as much anymore, but makes potion bottles

- Has scars/tattoos from various adventures

- Used to have dragon scale armor, he once saved a village from a dragon, but has sold it and no longer tells the story, he now claims it was a bear

- He's a great dad ❤

- Loves ale & meat, but not as much as his girls

- I cannot overstate how much he loves his family, he LOVES his wife and daughter, like a LOT, it pretty much defines who he is, he's a family man

- Met his wife while on a quest

- He used to be a nomad while adventuring and getting paid for jobs, he'd wander from town to town, until he settled at Tradeskeep and put up a shop

Kalvin knew he was lucky to have her and he tried to make her understand that.

If there was one person that made Kalvin feel like he was the luckiest man in the world, it was her.

Two years ago, on a very cold December night, Kalvin had found her alone in the parking lot after they attended one of their friends' birthday party. She'd looked like she had been in trouble, frantically talking to someone on the phone and pacing back and forth in front of her car, while looking completely freezing. Her car had apparently broken down, so Kalvin kindly offered her a ride. She'd been reluctant at first but after he promised that he wouldn't kidnap her, which made her laugh, she accepted.

That had been their first meeting after a couple of years. Kalvin had honestly forgotten about her. Maybe it had been because he'd never really paid any attention to her in the past, but he didn't remember thinking that she was attractive. And that night, she'd looked extremely gorgeous, Kalvin had been stunned the first time he laid his eyes on her. He'd stolen so many glances at her during the party, more than he'd dared to admit. Something about her, that he'd never noticed before, had intrigued him. He couldn't even stop himself from kissing her when he dropped her off by her door. He'd ended up waking up in her bed the next morning.

They still laughed if they thought about it now, remembering that time when they said it was just going to be a one-night thing. But it had turned out that not everything was in their control as they somehow had kept running into each other. It'd happened quite often to the point that Kalvin thought that maybe it was happening for a reason, maybe it wasn't supposed to be just a one-night thing. He'd decided to try his luck to pursue her. It hadn't been easy at first, but she'd fallen in his arms in the end.

Kalvin had never been in a relationship quite like this. He'd fallen in love with her so hard. With her, everything felt so real and so right. Even if things were hard, it always seemed easy with her. Even if they fight sometimes, Kalvin only fell in love with her more when they made up. And he always considered himself lucky to have her. He had so many reasons for it.

One of those reasons was waking up to her every morning in the bed they shared, the room they shared, in the house they had been living together in for the past year.

Kalvin loved their mornings. He loved the fact that the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was her face. He loved the times when they laid in bed, her head on his chest, with no words exchanged between them as they enjoyed each other's warmth. She would look up to him and he would hold her so close, saying "I love you". He'd touch their noses together which always, always made her smile. Sometimes they would just lay side by side, hoping that they didn't have to go to work because they just wanted to be there as long as they could just to admire each other, just like what happened this morning.

"Am I dreaming?" Kalvin muttered. His sleepy eyes were gazing at her. There was a smile on his face, a very light one that wasn't enough to make his dimples show. "Don't wake me up if I'm dreaming..."

She didn't look confused by his question, because sometimes Kalvin did that, just mumbling random words when he hadn't grasped his consciousness fully. "We literally just woke up, baby. I don't know what you dreamed about, but this one's a reality," she replied.

"Good then," he murmured.

She furrowed her eyebrows, because this time it seemed like Kalvin was onto something, he wasn't just mumbling random things. "What are you thinking about?" The curiosity was obvious in her voice.

Kalvin didn't answer immediately. He was still taking his time to admire her, trailing his fingers on her bare arm. The sun was already out and the light that escaped the curtains crept into the room, illuminating her face. His heart skipped a beat when she blinked slowly. Those beautiful orbs of hers never left his and Kalvin felt like he was being sucked into it. He was actually starting to feel hazy, unsure if it really wasn't a dream because she did look so dreamy. But the light squeeze on his arm brought his focus back.

"I just feel so incredibly lucky to have you, have I ever told you that?"

She tilted her head slightly, he could tell that she was thinking. "Sometimes..." she mumbled.

Kalvin's smile faltered. For him, "sometimes" meant he barely ever said it, and it wasn't good enough for him. How could he not tell her every day about how lucky he was to have her? Made sure that she understood that he was truly grateful to have her in his life? He suddenly wasn't happy with himself, and the change of expression on his face surely didn't go unnoticed by her.

"Hey... You okay?" There was a hint of worry in her voice. Her hand went to the side of his face, tucking some falling strands of curls behind his ears before resting her hand on his cheek and caressing it. Kalvin softened up upon her touch, appreciating her warmth. His hand went down to her waist as he tried to hold on to her.

"I'm so lucky to have you, I'm the luckiest man." He meant every word, emphasizing on the word lucky so that she could really feel it. "I should tell you that every day. Because that's the truth."

Kalvin's mind was immediately flooded by all of the reasons, small and big, why he thought he was lucky to have her.

Kalvin remembered the first time he showed her his worse side. They'd just been dating for a few months back then and he'd lost an important match. He'd been so devastated and his emotions had gotten the better of him, so he said some things that he shouldn't have said. She'd stormed out the room, he'd expected her to just take the keys and leave. But she'd come back to the living room a moment later with a blanket and a cup of tea. She'd forgiven him instantly and still wanted to take care of him. That was the first time Kalvin thought that she was a real keeper, telling himself that he was lucky to have someone who could handle him at his worst.

Kalvin remembered when last year he'd gotten an injury and had to spend a few days in the hospital. It had been her exam week. Kalvin had known how stressful it had been for her, but she'd been willing to divide her focus for him, stayed with him in the hospital whenever she could, and took care of him. For three nights he'd just stared at her while she studied, and asked her to hold his hand every time he thought she needed a break, saying that his leg had been hurting again as an excuse. It had been the first time the thought of her being his wife ever crossed his mind, that everyone who would be her husband would be the luckiest man, and he'd hoped it was him.

Kalvin remembered when he'd suddenly felt anxious before the England versus German match in the Euros a couple months ago. He'd felt like he couldn't do it. Good thing he'd decided to give her a call because apparently all he'd needed to regain his confidence back was for her to remind him that every little boy in Leeds would still dream to be like him no matter what result they would get that night. That was another reason for him to feel lucky, for her to always know the right thing to say when he needed it the most.

But the biggest reason of all was the most important. It was how she taught him how to love and how to be loved.

Before her, Kalvin had been alone for a quite long time, believing that he'd gotten all he ever wanted and that he didn't need love. He'd never thought that she would come into his life, proving him wrong in everything he believed in.

"I thought I knew what love was, I always thought it was just going to hurt me. But when I met you, I wasn't afraid of anything," Kalvin confessed as he locked his eyes with hers. "I let myself fall for you completely and I never regret it. Because if it's not you, I know it's not gonna be like this. And if it's not like this, I don't want it."

He watched her shoulders rise as she took a breath and a small smile appeared on her face as her shoulders fell again. "Oh, Kalvin..." she breathed. Her fidgety fingers played with curls, as if she was trying to find some comfort by doing so.

"I just don't think I can thank you enough for... Everything."

She shook her head. "What I do is nothing compared to all the things you do for me, Kalvin. I've never done anything, I could never—"

"That's not true, definitely not true," Kalvin interrupted, not wanting to give her a chance to think that what she was saying was true. "Baby, I wouldn't be here if I didn't have you by my side."

Kalvin shuffled closer to her and held her face, making sure that he had her full attention. He stroked her cheek gently with his thumb and could actually feel her melt into his touch. She softly sighed, before she mirrored Kalvin's loving smile.

"You know what you do? You push me to do impossible things. Every time I think I can't do it, you convince me that I can," Kalvin said. He could see her eyes were starting to glisten with tears. She reached his hand that was resting on her cheek, squeezing it tight. "You help me go places. You make me reach the stars, darling. And guess what? I'll always take you with me," he whispered.

"To the stars?" she sobbed as a couple drops of tears escaped her eyes. Kalvin chuckled, his dimples were on full display, and it made her chuckle between her sobs too.

"Yeah, I'll take you to the stars, or wherever you want, really."

She shuffled closer to Kalvin who immediately welcomed her in his arms. She put a small kiss at the corner of Kalvin's lips, making his heart skip a beat again. Kalvin wrapped his arms safely around her and let her bury her face at the crook of his neck. He inhaled the scent of her hair that he really loved, let it fill all the space in his lungs, before kissing the top of her head.

"I'll go wherever you take me to," she mumbled. "Even if we just stay here, it's fine by me, as long as I'm with you."

She ran her slightly trembling hand on his chest, and he hoped she could feel how hard his heart was pounding right now, the heart that beat for her. His heart felt full and it almost felt overwhelming. This surely would be another morning that he would cherish and remember forever, the morning he poured his feelings to her and touched her heart. But he thought it couldn't get better until she said the things she wanted to say.

"I think I need to say it every day too, Kalvin," she mumbled to his shoulder. "That I'm the luckiest girl in the world, because I have you and I'm loved by you. I guess it's my turn to let you know how grateful I am for you?"

The Potters forward, who came through the ranks at West Midlands neighbours West Bromwich Albion , is out of favour at the Bet365 Stadium after a highly public off-field issues. Costing Stoke £12m when they brought him from Albion in January 2017, Berahino has scored just three league goals in two-and-a-half years and they’re ready to cut their losses and moving him on. READ MORE The 25-year-old has returned from Egypt after representing his native Burundi in their first ever African Nations Cup campaign. According to the Sun , Blues will look to offer him a Wast Hills trial in pre-season to permit him the chance to earn a contract at St Andrew’s. Blues boss Pep Clotet is in the market for a new striker after losing Che Adams to Southampton. However, BirminghamLive has been told a move for the striker is unlikely. KEEPING KALVIN Blues’ Championship rivals Leeds United have opened contract talks with Kalvin Phillips in a bid to keep the midfielder amid interest from Aston Villa. Villa have been chasing Phillips this summer and still retain an interest as they mould Dean Smith’s squad ahead of the Premier League season. They have tested the water with an offer of around £14m but so far have been met with a determination from Leeds to hold onto the fan favourite.
