Reintroducing Rin!

A little while ago I decided to do a small revamp of my yan oc Rin and change a couple things about his design and character I no longer liked. And they’re finally finished!

His updated information will be under the cut! Please feel free to ask things for them or suggest drawings I can do, I love talking about my boy! Also, all Rin posts will now be under the #Rin Lovemail tag so please block that if you don’t want to see the posts 💕

General Information

Rin is 21 years old and his birthday is December 4th! They are a pansexual demiboy and use he/they pronouns

He is doing a photography course at university and is currently in his last year

His favourite thing to photograph besides his darling is nature and wildlife! They especially likes taking pictures of pretty moths and other small insects that people usually dislike

Rin is 6’5, but because of their tendency to hunch over and his bad posture, he usually looks closer to being 6’3-4

They were often told that they have RBF and paired with his height it made him look scary and intimidating, so they make a conscious effort to widen their eyes and smile more so he looks more approachable

Rin’s younger brother is a very popular idol, and because of this he was always being pressured by his parents to pursue a similar career. This led them to becoming the drummer for a visual kei band when he was 17

The band was very popular, but they ended up quitting when they were 18 because they didn’t like the attention. He does still play the drums as a hobby though!

He currently works at a butler cafe, which he also doesn’t enjoy much but it pays well and they need the money for their expensive camera equipment

His hair is naturally greyish white, which makes it perfect for dyeing, but he doesn’t do it very often because he hates maintaining it. He will occasionally switch up the small dyed strand of their hair though, depending on what colour he likes more at the time which is definitely not influenced by his darlings favourite colour at all

Rin loves cooking and baking! He does most of the cooking for him and his roommate and he loves to bake cookies and sweets when they have downtime from uni and work

Although it may seem like Rin would enjoy romance movies, they actually prefer horror/suspense movies much more! They’re also super good at guessing which characters are going to die and in what order, it’s kind of a little game they play any time they watch a new one

He’s also a big fan of “scary” rollercoasters and haunted house experiences and the like! He’s very hard to scare or startle so he’s on like a small personal mission to find something that scares them

Yandere type!

Rin is a very soft yandere, he would never put his darling in any danger or uncomfortable situations. They just want the best for them and for them to be happy… and to maybe be a factor for their happiness

He’s like a big lost puppy, with the way he follows his darling everywhere they go. He’ll usually walk behind them because he’s worried he’d be overstepping their place to walk next to them. But if they invite him to walk with them, he’ll be over the moon

They have a constant need for validation and always worries that anything he does might upset their darling. But he also doesn’t want to annoy them by constantly asking if they’re happy/uncomfortable/upset etc so he’ll keep a mental list. They’re very attentive

Absolutely melts at any form of positive feedback from his darling. This includes anything from smiling at him, laughing at something he said or greeting him first to being allowed to hug them or hold their hand, and especially verbal praise

When dealing with people they consider to be threats, they are very clever about the way they go about it

He knows killing someone is very risky, so he’ll usually keep it as a last resort. Often times they’re able to just intimidate people enough to scare them off. He is 6’5 and capable of mustering up a deadly glare if the situation calls for it

And it’s quite easy for them to get away with it as well. Rin has a reputation for being a massive softie, and he looks like he’s on the verge of tears half the time. In what word is he intimidating? Sure he’s tall, but that’s all they’ve got in terms of fear factor… right?

I’m gonna leave it here to give you guys ample opportunity to ask about him so I have more excuses to ramble 😌

I know you’re not fond of receiving letters (especially during this time of the month) so would it be alright to ask if you could spare me just 5 minutes of your time? I promise to keep this letter short (for as much as I can… that is…).

I have something to confess. I used to hate you. Loathe you even, because of what you did to my friend (Yoichi-kun) before but after consideration, contemplating, and sometimes witnessing you during your practice/matches… Also, although I planned to tell this to you face to face… I feel like I will just disturb you even more if I do so… I would like to apologize for quickly judging you based on what transpired that day. I didn’t know how deep and what soccer means to you so after learning a bit from Yoichi-kun, I want to support you and your goals in life!

So imagine my shock when you’re about to face the U20, especially against him (I don’t want to mention his name in this letter because I thought it would make you angry). The game was so intense– I feel like if I were to shift my eyes somewhere off the field quickly, I would miss the perfect opportunity to see your kicks straight toward the goal!

However, there’s one thing about the match that made me feel so… worried about you… despite the crowd cheering because of what they’re witnessing, to me, something doesn’t… feel right… even Ego-san mentioned it was twisted. It's about your flow state. I can’t bring myself to grin in delight like the crowd because of what astonishing moves you’re displaying, instead, I just– watched with brows furrowed in distress and a huge concern (maybe I'm just being weird). Did something hurt inside your body when you were in your flow state? Are you alright during your flow? What about your aftermath? Please don't forget to take care of yourself! Please don't hesitate to rest if you feel like your body is going mush- You're the captain of the team and- Never mind, don’t answer those questions if you don’t want to… B-but enough of that! As Rin reads through the first part of the letter, his face forms scowl, thinking it was a dumb decision to spend money just to send him some hate letter—when he finally gets to the later half. Concern, it was a constant throughout the letter since then, a feeling one shouldn't feel for their supposed enemy, laid inside the letter sent anonymously. The letter, that contained a concern so genuine makes his eyes soften and twitch his lips into a small small smile.

Wait. No. Disgusting. Absolutely not.

For a minute, Rin considered throwijg the letter away, before ultimately deciding against it. With a pause at the start, Rin begins moving his pen.

I appreciate your concerns—your cheers too. But I have no need for them. I will be fine. If I fail to do something so simple such as handling the setbacks of my flow then that would only mean my incapability as a striker—Or a football player for the matter. I do not need your lukewarm pity, or cheers for the matter. I will be the best striker—and nothing will ever dare change that.

AHH THIS ONE’S UNIQUE, I LOVE!! here’s me quite literally writing a whole fanfic plot

1) @hwajin + hyunjin — and there was only one bed. . . trope. they would go on a staycation (platonically) and one of ‘em would mess up the hotel reservations thus leading to only one room aka one bed being available. (hyunjin’s 100% the one to mess up, he’s 1/3 of baboracha for a reason.) i can see them arguing over who gets the bed EVENTHOUGH IT’S LITERALLY KING SIZED ‘N THEY CAN SHARE. would definitely end up sleeping at the edges of the beds, not facing each other 😭 and then fall in love overnight. it got cold so they probably had to get close or some shit. then wound up talking abt their lonely love lives and Boom. they date. slay.

2) @jkefelx + jeongin — classic bumps-into-each-other-in-university trope. we’ve got kana darling rushing to a class and jeongin walking while being on the phone and Tada. . . they Bump into each other then all their books fall so they both scramble to gather them awkwardly but Wait. . . two hands graze each other’s. gasp! the act gets them both shy. shy enough to accidentally swap books. what happens then??? jeongin’s book just happened to have his number in it so wooo, kana calls it and then the rest is history. 🤸‍♀

3) @starlostseungmin + felix — childhood best friends to lovers with a twist. listen. Hear Me Out. i feel like keisy suits the whole pining, slowburn trope. felix as well! they’d be kindergarten friends who got separated once felix moves and then they meet each other in a 💫 fated reunion 💫 therefore all memories rush back or some shit like that 😭 “i’ve never forgotten you” “me neither” (plays the ouran high school host club theme song) 🎶 kiss kiss fall in love yeahh 🎶

4) @zoe8stay + bang chan — blind date trope. look. they’re both busy people. frankly, they’ve got no time to date. . . which leads to jisung practically blackmailing bang chan to go out on a date with this beautiful person he happens to know (you can’t tell me that jisung wouldn’t do this shit.) so chan goes, not expecting much out of it only to end up enjoying the date. idk how but he tolerates zoe’s love for mint choco ice cream (yes i’ll bring this up ‘til the day i die.) one date turns to three turns to five turns to a committed relationship. zoe’s happy, chan’s happy and jisung’s happy!!!

5) @comet-falls + minho — enemies to friends to lovers. i feel like they’d despise each other at first over some trivial thing. then they’d find out that they have something in common (which is wreaking chaos) so they become partners in crime. somewhere along the way it’d turn into something romantic. 💏

6) @asters-abditory + changbin — classic seven minutes in heaven trope. . . except it’s nothing sexual. i feel like within those seven minutes, they’d wound up having a wholeass deep talk. changbin would say something that’s funny and somehow it turns into a talk about their life??? but not the type of talk that makes you cry. it’s light-hearted, yet meaningful and sprinkled with jokes in between. both changbin and aster are the chill type, but with some chaos in between u get me? people would leave them in the closet thinking some nasty shit is going on but it’s a deep talk instead 💀

7) @milkybonya + jisung — the-extrovert-adopts-the-introvert trope! i’m aware that han is an introvert, but on the surface, he’s the life of the party. he enjoys talking to new people, and i feel like he’d get intrigued by quiet people. milky’s a very sweet person, someone laid back who i feel like at a party, they’d stay on a sofa and just watch while relaxing. i feel like jisung would get attracted by that! mans would end up trying to impress milky for hours 😟

8) @starseungs + seungmin — academic rivals to lovers. ah, the two excellent students in class gets paired for a project. they’d argue here and there (it’s mostly seungmin provoking for fun) and in return, cielle would accidentally fuel into seungmin’s need to provoke??? cielle’s just making remarks that’s supposed to be funny but seungmin takes it Seriously and ends up roasting cielle 😭 it becomes a roasting battle. (which is basically a ticket to seungmin’s heatt tbh) they’re both your typical chaotic duo, it’s entertaining.
