My heart goes out to all the Shadow and Bone fans. I'm so sorry about the cancelation. I'm not really a part of the fandom but I understand completely, having gone through the same thing 6 months ago with Lockwood and Co. Capitalism has once again shown its ugly side. I hope you guys get picked up by a platform who cares about their subscribers/audience.

The funniest thing about the whole S&B cancellation business, is people threatening Netflix and calling S&B "a good show".

Like: Don't get me wrong, current Netflix wouldn't recognize a good story if they'd pay for it *cough 1989 vs. TWN cough*, but Shadow and Bone is certainly NOT the case...

I woke up with the news of Shadow and Bone cancellation, which includes the Six of Crows spin-off never happening, so not a great way to start the day. Honestly i’m really pissed. They have at least some of it written and ready to go, so I don’t understand what’s stopping them from continuing. It really really really makes me sad because for once in a blue moon they were actually doing kind of a good job. Was it equal to the books? No, but it was still enjoyable and the actors were absolutely brilliant and they deserved to see their characters story told just as much as we did. To be completely honest i had lost my hopes on Netflix the second it cancelled Fate:The Winx Saga and this is just proof again of how that network apparently is not able to make sound decisions. I hope they never pick up another book adaptation to anything because clearly, SAGAFTRA and WAG strikes asides, they not able to see anything through.

There might be only one minuscule hope: that is picked up by another network, but honestly, as they have just come out of a huge pause due to the strike, I think it may be unlikely.

I hope the soc spin off doesn't mean that sab s3 will be sacrificed for it, I love the crows and I'm dying for the spin off, but I don't want Alina's story to end up that way and since I'm pretty sure kos will be adapted in sab s3 I need it to exist

Also I want for the actors Jessie Mei Li, Sujaya Dasgupta, Anna Leong Brophy, Archie and Paddy and Lewis too, they deserve it to have the story they are telling us finished

One theory I have as to why shadow and bone wasn’t picked up for season 3 and why were not getting a six of crows spin off is because the whole cast stole props from the set 😂

I feel like,,, if people could just,,, understand that some tv shows are meant to be versions of the books they’re adapted from, aka not 100% canon, aka not the books word for word, aka a chance for the author to try things they chose not to when writing the books,,, they might be able to enjoy book adaptions more,,,
