I can't imagine the sheer strength the Sanada Ten Braves can prove to be if they're all in one place. Some of the NPCs do look cute though. I have simped for a bird, so I don't know what to say.

And another one of the Sanada Ten joins us. I’ve referenced this before, but the full gang was meant to unite in Sasuke’s sequel, though we don’t know when that will ever show up in SLBP.

Miyoshi Seikai’s full name in the original legends was Miyoshi Seikai-Nyuudou 三好清海入道. “Nyuudou” refers to “entering the path of Buddhism”, and this can refer to both an actual monk, or lay-monks (people who are devoted to Buddhism, but still live regular lives and don’t actually become monks). As such his standard depiction was something more like a warrior-monk type.

The game dropped the Nyuudou part, and so he’s just a regular warrior now.

Hello Miss O. 👉👈 You said you wanted play arm chair psychiatrist? May I offer my sample? I see some common trends, sure, but sometimes I'm grasping at sand. From SLBP, Shingen, Ieyasu and Yukimura. From Ikesen, Sasuke, Mitsunari and Hideyoshi. Ikevamp, Arthur & Napoleon and Fenrir from Ikerev. (No comment about Ikepri since I've yet to finish a route!)

First ask and you're not going to make this easy on me, are you? I also can see some definite trends, but there's an outlier or two that bucks the system…so let's see if there's anything maybe deeper that brings these characters together.

My initial read over this, I wanted to say these are all men that are very humorous reads - maybe the character themself is funny, maybe they aren't 'funny' but they act in amusing ways. Yukimura for example, is inadvertently funny, and so is Hideyoshi and Mitsunari. Ieyasu is far from humorous in the traditional sense, but his cutting remarks are often hilarious.

But looking past that, what I do see is that these are all characters who are keenly driven by a higher goal. Certainly, they all have a personal goal they want to attain, but in the grand scheme of things they are ALL working much harder towards some vision they hold of a greater good. This theme isn't anything unusual in otome games, especially ones set in wartime or times of conflict as many of these titles are, but there are certainly some characters who are operating on motivations that are far more about themselves and a need they have to fulfill rather than something done for others.

These are all very earnest men too - the only one I would accuse at all of being disingenuous at times is Ieyasu, of course (he's really our problem child in this group) but even behind his deflecting snark and inability to be honest with himself or others there's a man of sincere convictions. These men all work tirelessly and selflessly in pursuit of their goals - and if most of them want to have a bit of fun along the way, all the better right?? There might be a mischief maker or two in here, such as Arthur, but in general you can trust all of these men implicitly.

Just a slapdash eyeballing puts them all in the Lawful Good and Neutral Good category, as well. This leads me to believe you appreciate people who don't relish in creating a lot of chaos or rebelling TOO hard against society save for when they feel it is a last resort method of improving things. In general they respect authority and the usual standards and rules of conduct and honor - there might be the occasional thumbing of their noses at the powers-that-be (Fenrir for example, or Arthur) but that's usually the exception to the rule, not the norm for them.

In the end, I think I would say you want a partner who can show you a bit of fun, is at their core a genuine and good person, and whom you feel you can hand over your heart to without question. They won't take it for granted, they won't put you through angst unnecessarily or leave you wondering where you stand with them, and at the end of the day (if you pay attention to their actions especially rather than their words) they will never leave you questioning if you mean the same thing to them that they mean to you.
