We still have this little critter, and she has successfully healed from her spay.
She rejected her homemade cone of shame (rolled up soccer socks courtesy of J) so we got her a proper baby shirt. It’s shocking we got her into it, and that she tolerated it as well as she did. She may be a shit, but she’s a good kid at heart. Maybe because she’s so stinkin’ cute.
It is probably wishful thinking, but her manners seem to be getting better. She still hasn’t been formally introduced to Zelda, but we can already tell she’s a little bully, so keep your fingers crossed because it would kinda suck to rehome her.
(It’s doubly hilarious because I’m the “no more cats can’t deal argh!” sort and this lil shit just HAD to choose OUR yard as the place to hang out in.)
Mammals are so utterly frustrating!

people don't get that Lucrecia is absolutely fucked up person and that's good, that's the point
I hate Dirge of Cerberus as much as anyone and I'd throw the entire thing into the ocean too especially for how it goes about Lucrecia's story but her being a fundamentally broken person whose prone to guilt ridden mental break downs? No absolutely not, it was the one thing they got right about her. Lucrecia is ultimately not a good person as much as she wants her intentions to be good because there's no world where a good person would do what she's done to any child, much less her own child she carried for 9 months
like talk about dead on arrival, Sephiroth didn't have a chance because whether or not Jenova is his mother or Lucrecia is his mother, he was still created with the exact purpose of being used by Shrina. When he couldn't be Cetra, he became a weapon and the fact is that Lucrecia knew this going in
like Lucrecia wasn't stupid, she wasn't naive, she wasn't blinding running into the experiment with Hojo leading her by the hand, she knew what she was doing
but the last shred of conscience kicked in at the last second and realized the enormity of her actions
and who KNOWS, right? maybe in another universe had she gotten out before it was too late, had she been able to raise Sephiroth somewhere out in the big wide world or given him to some one who could have protected him from Shrina, Sephiroth could have had a good life
but I doubt it because for all of Lucrecia's (of which I believe) love for her son it doesn't change that deep down Lucrecia was broken enough or determine enough to do what she did in the first place and things like that don't get fixed because the shame suddenly smacked her up the face
Lucrecia and Sephiroth are ultimately a tragedy--the woman who should never have been a mother and the child who should have never been born

one of the things that makes wolf 359's characterization work so well and feel so genuine is how much it's about perspective. maxwell is a manipulative backstabber in hera's story, a "gift of a friend" in jacobi's, and - from their subjective perspectives - both of them are right about her. i love eiffel, and i'm completely on his side, but... if you were kate garcia and your ex you had a toxic relationship with, a man you had to tolerate in your life because you had a child with him, who - after you were awarded full custody - attempted to kidnap your daughter, and got in an accident that left her disabled... if you thought that man was serving 26 years in prison for what he did, and then you thought he was dead, and then he showed up alive - walking free - and wanted to make amends...? would you want to hear him out? eiffel has suffered so much, and he became a better person in a way carceral punishment would never have done, but from kate's perspective, it must seem like he has never had to face consequences for anything. and that's... complicated, but it's real.

As a fun little thought, yaknow how fanon Maedhros sometimes will have grey in his hair from like the torture and stress? I think it would be SUPER FUN if during the long peace his brothers would sometimes die it different colours. Obvi nothing crazy, but I think it would be cute if sometimes they dyed the grey like yellow/gold to go with his copper hair, or yellow-green in the spring to make it look like he has flowering plants woven in his hair, or black to tease him how the dark colour washes him out

Look I'll admit after the reboot I had my issues with Kristen Bell and her clear dislike of the Veronica/Logan relationship but the one thing I'll always give her is that regardless of it not being her favourite romantic dynamic- she never ever phoned it in. Like when she as Veronica looked at Logan, all that love and chemistry and tension was there. She sold it truly and completely.

good trope: the (future) love interest has a special nickname for the main character, which showcases the uniqueness of their relationship
even better trope: everyone calls the main character a certain nickname except for the love interest, who calls them by their full name to showcase how they see them fully and love all of them

to be honest i think there is a very clear pathway to cheronica happening this season (cheryl’s “get out of my school” vibes, veronica introducing the concept of bisexuality to the group, hermione telling veronica “no boys” which EYE think would be very fun if veronica was like “okay fine then girls”) but i KNOW they’re not gonna take it

Thinking about the comment one of the members of my college friend group said a few years ago about how I'm always trying to explain and get to the root of things, and I immediately tried to discern why I do that because I never noticed, and she said "See?"
It kinda felt shameful to me, to be exposed like that. Idk I still feel bad when I remember cause it's like she noticed my patterns and I'm weird and if she noticed then so did everyone else.
