I’m sorry, but if at the end of Bridgerton S3 doesn’t have Pen and Colin hosting a masquerade ball and Benedict dancing with a woman in silver and her running away at the end of the episode and her butler/maid friend asks her; “Everything alright, Miss Beckett?” and then the episode cuts to black. I. Will. Riot.

Benophie au where Sophie is called in last minute to be a Party Princess for Amelia’s 4th birthday party - Daphne had hired the company Penwood’s Once Upon a Party to supply the Princesses - because Posy’s sick.

She arrives at Hasting House with the other 3 performers (an Ariel, Tiana, and Rapunzel) dressed as Cinderella and is swept immediately into the chaos of a party full of 4-5 year olds.

All of the Bridgerton sibs had been begged to dress up by their niece (none of whom can withstand the puppy eyes she has expertly mastered), and Benedict is in the middle of complaining to Colin about his itchy Prince Charming costume when the Princesses arrive. He is immediately enchanted by the Cinderella and doesn’t even notice Colin laughing as he stares at her with the same look of awe the kids have.

He spends the next hour trying to work out how to appropriately flirt with a Princess at his niece’s birthday when Amelia practically drags the Cinderella over to “Uncle Benny!” to meet her “Prince Charming”. Sophie is desperately trying to withhold a laugh at the girl’s enthusiasm and curtesies to the man standing in front of her.

Amelia’s “Uncle Benny you have to dance with her, she’s your Princess!” is all it takes for Ben to offer his hand to the performer and lead her to the ‘dance floor’ (the circle of garden full of children on sugar highs) where some ridiculous KidsBop music is playing. The pair dance as Amelia starts telling her parents, aunts, uncles, and grandmother to come join as well - she makes Colin dance with the Ariel (Anthony mutters something about Colin and Redheads to a bemused Kate) - and soon the garden is full of adults dancing “like they do in the balls!” between running children.

Benedict uses this chaos to try and find out all he can about the mysterious princess, his attempts being hampered by the Cinderella (because she refuses to tell him her actual name and risk breaking the magic if a child overhears) only answering in character.

“What do you do for fun?” “Oh, I listen to the wonderful stories of GusGus, and talk to the geese.”

“What’s your favourite colour?” “Well many think it’s blue, and my mother’s was pink, but I love silver. It’s why my fairy godmother made my dress like this.”

“Do you have any siblings? I have frankly too many.” “Only two step-sisters, they try their best but they can struggle to be kind.”

“Please tell me what your real name is.” “You may call me Ella if you so wish.”

The conversation goes in circles with Ben trying to control his growing frustration at her evasion as she smiles more broadly with each line.

Sophie is eventually pulled away by Amelia to go to the craft table and Benedict is left bereft and nursing a crush that has definitely been clocked by the many Bridgertons.

The party eventually winds to a close with the princesses saying their goodbyes to the children and parents arriving to pick them up. With the last guests gone, and only Bridgertons at the house, Benedict tries one last time to speak to the Cinderella hoping to ask her out for a drink, when he gets swept up by a tired Amelia asking to be carried. By the time she’s settled on his back the princesses have vanished and his heart starts to sink mentally kicking himself for missing his chance.

That is until Simon walks up to him and passes him a card with a knowing look. Glancing down Benedict sees the logo of Penwood’s Once Upon A Party, and underneath, a quickly drawn shoe.

“Not quite an actual glass slipper, but good luck mate”.

I hope that next season is NOT Benedict and Sophie. Why? Because we have the perfect opportunity to introduce Sophie at the end of this season then have an entire subplot of Ben tearing apart the ton next season trying to find his mystery woman and always getting So cLoSe just to barely miss her to build the anticipation and also really hammer in the point that this man tried his damndest to find his woman before even considering someone else (even if they are the same woman in the end)

You know, I really hope that Netflix can adapt all the Bridgerton books in the saga.

That of Benedict, who is not my favorite but whose character I adore in the series has great potential to be brought to the screen (which unfortunately will still not be season 4 which it seems to me will be on Eloise).

Volume 6 on Francesca & Michael is just the best book in the saga and must be adapted for the screen.

Afterwards, I must say that if the last two volumes on the last 2 children are not adapted, it's not that serious. Especially since it takes place years later when they have grown up, they could easily read them once the series is finished.

But Bénédict & Sophie, and especially Francesca & Michael have to be adapted for the screen, I'm sorry !

That'll be 6 seasons maximum ! Elite has had the right to I don’t know how many seasons ! (8 by the way !)

They can do that for Bridgerton !

Right ?!

Especially since Brigerton is a great success of the platform !

(I should point out that I still have a big problem with volume 1 and the affair between Daphne and Simon when he was drunk. Collin who squeezes Penelope's handle to the point of bruising her ?! But wtf ?! Then even if I love the Kanthony book, the scene where Anthony has his tantrum in the carriage when Kate doesn't want to consummate the marriage straight away, and she tells herself that he is right and that it is her right to take him to the room and lock him there if he wants... uh... discomfort. Even if volume 2 is my second favorite book in the series)

In any case I hope at least that Brigerton will go (it's a necessity in my eyes) up to 6 seasons, and why not up to the 8th if that's possible ? After all, once again, if a shitty series like Elite can have 8 seasons, why not Bridgerton ?!

Thoughts on the Season 3 Sideplots

*Spoilers for Romancing Mister Bridgerton and To Sir Phillip, With Love*

so i was rereading romancing mister bridgerton and it makes me wonder if philoise and benophie are both going to be set up next season. we know for sure that daphne’s ball isn’t happening next season since Phoebe isn’t there, but in the book it mentions that her servants wore silver dresses and it made me wonder if one of the other bridgertons (kate and anthony maybe???) will throw the ball at the end of RMB, which could be a masquerade for all we know. but at that ball (the whistledown reveal ball) eloise disappears to meet phillip crane. the ten episode thing would make sense if they’re setting up both of those things along with the polin plot.

this could also be who eloise’s secret friend is, i know we’ve been expecting it to be a woman but it might not be. that being said that would mean marina’s death would also have to happen this season which…i just can’t see that happening idk.

Let me start by saying that I have ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM with casting black actors for any roles. I love the casting of Kate Sharma, her whole family and the casting of the queen and all, but I think casting a black actress for the role of Sophie Beckett would be a bit too much. I actually love the idea of Sophie being of Asian descent. Maybe a blonde actress would also fit the role but I can't get over the image of Gemma Chan as Sophie.

only 72 days to my favourite characters and ships are back I do hope we get to see more Marina and Philip in dislike/enemies to lovers kinda story my fav trope I mean if we can get that in queen Charlotte, with Charlotteand George where it was a marriage of convenience force and without love at first but they grew to learn about each other their situation form a bond only they can and love each other would be so epic + it’ll give plot twist instead of the predictable ending we are headed.

we saw the queen stand by the king with his illness love him still does to modern day Bridgerton, it’s beautiful would love to see a man standing by his wife and hee illness it would be so very much different unexpected by man especially during that time and not having him abandoned her emotionally mentally checked out on her and her/their kids now when she needs someone/him the most why is it only woman characters that stay and try to be understanding unconditionally loving protective and helping of their partner’s illness especially during that society time.

give us something new please something unexpected different in the show a change the whole show talks about putting a modern spin on that world all the time, what better way would then seeing a man be in the role of carer of his wife like qc takes care of her husband!

We know they won’t change the end couples which is fine don’t mean that sir Philip can’t come to understand and love marina and Marina him and once she is no longer with him he can ofc fall in love again you don’t just fall in love just once in your life there’s first love and then there’s true soulmate love!

Still waiting on that princess Edwina a Brid story for s2 of the spin off after polin season and before Benedict season followed by lady Danbury a Bridgerton story then s5 of Bridgerton, then lastly prince Adolphus a Bridgeton story and the last ever season of Bridgerton having all the remaining 2 siblings stories go together s6 the end! this way everyone gets their happy endings and also first love and true love aka their soulmate love

Sometimes I feel like the reason they pushed Benedic and Sophie's season has nothing to do with Polin, and is more about Show Benedict getting popular by hijacking Book Colin's personality and now they don't know how to fit into his book (where he's kind of an ass to Sophie at the beginning) this new personality... But they must remember Colin was OoC in his book too so 🤷🏻‍♀️
