They delivered a 7.7% sour ale with blueberries, blackberries, marshmallow and lactose - this is the first #TeamLactose beer in Link Up (I believe?), let’s go! It pours a murky deep purple with a light pink head and a juicy nose, it rocks Mosaic Cryo, Citra and Chinook hops, it’s hella creamy and sticky, there’s some subtle vanilla from the marshmallow, the lactose delivers some body without making it too sweet, it’s even a touch bitter, there’s tons of juicy berries, it’s a hella crushable summer beer, wrapping in a dry, refreshing finish. I made a vegan burrito that was like 200 calories and drank a liter (litre?) Of seltzer water and im stuffed i have eaten nothing else today yas lord JASUHS YAASSS it was so good im cry legit:

Handfull of lettuce-prob 10/20 cal (a handful for me is roughly a cup.)

Old Fashioned Sour Ceam pound cake Ingredients: 3 cups sugar 1 cup butter 6 eggs, separated 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1 cup sour cream 3 cups all-purpose flour, sift before measuring 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt Directions: Cream together sugar and butter, add the egg yolks one at time; beat well after each addition. Blend in vanilla, lemon juice and sour cream. Into a separate bowl, sift sifted flour, salt, and soda. Add sifted dry ingredients to batter; beat well. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites into the cake batter. Sour Cream & Onion ist in Deutschland bei Kartoffelchips die drittbeliebteste Geschmacksrichtung nach Paprika und Ungarisch. Manche Hersteller verwenden auch die deutsche Bezeichnung Sauerrahm. Obwohl damit eine passende deutsche Bezeichnung vorliegt, hat sich “Sour Cream” für die Geschmacksrichtung durchgesetzt. Bei Sour Cream handelt es sich um nichts anderes als Saure Sahne, also durch Gärung gesäuerte, verdickte Sahne mit einem erhöhten Fettanteil.

Inzwischen gibt es sogar schon Mandeln und Cashew-Kerne, Linsen-, Tortilla-, Brot– und Süßkartoffelchips, die mit Sour Cream & Onion gewürzt sind!

Die verschiedenen Bezeichnungen und Fettstufen lauten:

Saure Sahne: mindestens 10% Fett.

Sour Cream: 18-20% Fett.

Schmand: 20-29% Fett.

Crème Fraîche: mindestens 30% Fett.

Der Zweite des zusammen gesetzten Aromas ist meistens Onion, also Zwiebel. Zwiebelgeschmack ist sehr intensiv, scharf, zwiebelig. Er stammt vom in der Zwiebel enthaltenen ätherischen Öl Allicin, das auch für das Tränen der Augen beim Zwiebelschneiden verantwortlich ist. Manche Snacks wie der Pic Pom von XOX oder Kruspers von funny-frisch kommen auch allein mit Sour Cream bzw. Sauerrahm daher – ohne Zwiebeln. Andere benennen besondere Zwiebeln, zum Beispiel lobt Lisa “Lauchzwiebeln” aus und Chipsfrisch nennet sie “Wild Onion“. Beim Brotsnack “Brips” sind es “Roasted Onions“. Aber mal ganz ehrlich: Wer würde diese Feinheiten erschmecken?! Es geht wohl eher um die richtige Vermarktung des Geschmacks und die Abgrenzung vom Wettbewerb.

Geschmacksvariante: Sour Cream and Black Pepper

Anders als die feinen Unterschiede bei der Bezeichnung der Zwiebel macht das Weglassen ebendieser und das Ersetzen durch schwarzen Pfeffer sehr wohl einen schmeckbaren Unterschied! Die Kombi “Sour Cream and Black Pepper” haben unter anderem im Programm: Lays, Sunbites Grain Waves und Proper Corn mit seinem Popcorn, der Sorte “Sour Cream and Black Pepper”, denn den schwarzen Pfeffer konnte ich definitiv erahnen.

Eine weitere Variante bringen etwa die Lorenz’ HofChips ins Spiel mit “Sauerrahm–Schnittlauch” und die Eigenmarke Snack Day von Lidl mit den Süßkartoffelchips “Sour Cream & Chives” (Chives = Schnittlauch).
