This month's discord server prompt was "Motherhood"
RD and Scoots aren't your traditional mother/daughter pair and probably not the first thing you think of when you hear 'Motherhood'. But I love to think that their relationship frequently shifts between sibling-like to motherly - and leaning more towards the latter the more time passes. Scoots does start to see Rainbow as a parental figure, especially once the topic of adoption comes up and becomes more serious.
I basically always headcanon that RD eventually adopts her and this is supposed to be a Mother's Day either shortly before or after the process. While Scootaloo wants to gift RD, she's pretty unsure about how to go at it. Ultimately she writes her a heartfelt letter, explaining what Rainbow means to her and why she wants to gift her something for that day.
Obviously Rainbow, who neither sees herself as "responsible" nor a "mom", didn't expect anything But she's absolutely thrilled and touched by getting something from Scoots. And the more such small instances happen, the more she shifts into a maternal role. Until one day she realizes (to her horror) that she did in fact become the "uncool and very protective mom".
The first time Scootaloo calls her 'Mom' is something I've been pondering on as well, but ultimately couldn't decide on yet...

The 'Spitti' Valais Blacknose Sheep
Very rarely a purebred Valais Blacknose is born as a 'spitti', whose pattern is 'reversed' or heavily spotted. In their native Switerzland, Spitti lambs are considered lucky for both the farmer and the flock.

hiiii just wanted to say that your drawing from december of RD and Spitfire being Scoots' mums gave me nothing but joy and life and happiness and wondered if you had any headcanons about Spitfire and Scoots' relationship (stepmom bonding with the stepdaughter?)
Ok listen, LISTEN. Spitfire learning that little Scootaloo can't fly but still loves adrenaline? With her little scooter??? There is only one logical bonding activity: Motor bike rides.
I definitely think Spitty has a need to fly but even on ground she probably rides a motor bike. And she would love to take Scootaloo with her.
I hc Scoots being somewhat shy when initially meeting Spitfire. Kinda like when you meet a celebrity - it just leaves you speechless and awkward. But once Spitfire sits her the first time (when Rainbow was supposed to spend the day with her but unfortunately became way too sick) they just hit it off.
I see Spitfire as not thinking of herself as a parent and being a mom for most of her life. She's career-driven and loves her job with the Wonderbolts way too much. She can't handle being around small Children and babies too well (which is also a funny canon comic moment btw). A kid doesn't really fit into it all.
But Scootaloo easily makes her change her mind. Especially because there is the added bonus of meeting Rainbow much more. Spitfire pretty quickly starts to identify as a parental guidance to Scootaloo and soon after potential, actual family.

It drove Harry crazy, the way his hand could make contact with Louis’ clothing and then travel and travel inwards through empty space, before meeting the warmth of his body. Harry lived in those moments of suspension, anticipation, and died every time his hand made contact through clothes with the dip of his waist, the curve of his back, the softness of his tummy. He made a fist in the material under his palm. Then he let it go before running his hand up Louis’ side, over his chest, pressing down hard.
Or: Harry comes home at two in the morning.

A thing I feel like people overlook: Izzy sure is a spitter. I see a lot of fic depict him as this very tidy, together guy and okay, his uniform is all in order, but I read that stuff and I'm just remembering the spitting. Guy's like a llama.

Tuvok-Chakotay dynamic should have gone from two people who are always poking at one another to two people who are always joking with one another - in both cases this is an unspoken thing. They’re playing a game of chicken that gets steadily less hostile. From “I’m not trying to be difficult here.” (lie) to “I’m not trying to be funny here.” (lie)
