让座和老人 （一）
在公共巴士或者是地铁，多数都会有专门给老人或有需要的人留座位，如果你累了一整天，你站了一整天你头痛脚轻，好不容易在地铁等到了一个位子，刚坐下不到一个站，有个老人进来了，他表面看起来很健康，但是根据头发样貌就知道他是老人了，就进来站在你的对面不远处，你会让座位吗？
我假设的这几个问题，如果你坐的是留给老人的座位你会让吗？如果你坐的是普通座位，任何人都能坐的（全部留给老人的位置也被其他老人坐满了）你会让吗？如果你坐的是普通座位但是老人离你有段距离，你看得到他，但是隔了许多人，大概6个位子的距离，你会让吗？怎么让？以上假设都是在你累得只想休息，头痛脚轻得情况下发生，你会选择什么？
再假设，一个看起来很明显脸青唇白的病人和一个普通老人，你会怎么做？让给病人？让给老人？还是想着这么多人，肯定有人让的，不需要我让（就是这么多人也有这样的想法所以才....)
想探究的是，让座的意义是什么？我们很习惯的想着看到老人就要礼让，但是老是很容易看得出的，生病的人除非你特地观察或不经意看到，不然谁会无缘无故让着好不容易等很久的座位呢？谁知道你病了？谁相信呢？所以可能有时看到不让座的年轻人是不是都有......为自己着想没有错，只是好奇大家的想法。
最后一个假设，你坐在了满座的地铁上，这时，你看到面前的门走进来一位老人和一位孕妇，你会.....

Adding your finger prints to my phone, holding my hand to help me change my sseat while the jeep is on the move, biting my finger because you don't want me to hand me my phone which is in your hand, buying me bread because I was in a bad mood.... Tried to hold my hand but I mindlessly shrugged it off unintentionally and those days where you rest your head to my shoulder when you feel tired...hah. I don't know why I suddenly remembered those memories of yours but I didn't forget. I didn't jayds. However, remembering those days will not change the fact that I did nothing for us to be more than friends. I was comfortable enough to enjoy the feeling of being cared, to feel that someone is there for me giving lil butterflies and not cared if will it end. And it did... And someone who you fell in love with came. I was sad... because I was too late.

saving regulus black
the whole idea for this entire post: “reggie has a panic attack (and we all know who i want to calm him down, hint hint)”. so, i guess, enjoy? <3
tw; mentions of ab*se by family members, panic attack, mild slurs
regulus had expected this at first, but now, over a year later, nothing’s improved.
as he walks down the hallways, he can hear the whispers, feel the stares. even when he enters the common room, it’s the same.
his dorm mates haven’t looked at him in nearly a year.
he’s sat in potions alone, drumming his fingers lightly on the desk, because nobody wants to sit with him anymore.
why had he ever thought running away with sirius was a good idea?
regulus knows why.
sirius couldn’t stay in that place, but he refused to leave without his little brother; it was a miracle when james and his parents agreed to take them both in.
regulus wishes he could’ve had his older brother’s gryffindor bravery and confidence. maybe then, he would’ve been able to leave by himself.
instead of burdening the potters.
he sighs, trying to focus on what the professor’s saying, but he can’t; his mind is whirling so fast, he can’t think straight.
“mr black, pay attention!”
regulus jumps in his seat, mumbling apologies as the professor glares sharply before returning to the lesson.
his classmates snigger and the whispers start flying about again. he swallows harshly, trying not to pay attention to the noise aound him.
“what a pathetic coward – unworthy of being a slytherin by far.”
“pureblood scum, i say, the little blood traitor.”
“can’t do anything without his brother, can he?”
he last one makes regulus’ blood boil.
sirius is a lot of things – hyperactive and cheeky, flamboyant and crazy. but he’s not worthless, he’s never been worthless.
it’s you who’s worthless.
“i heard he’s queer,” another voice hisses, laced with venom. “for his ratty brother’s best friend, one of those damned marauders. james, is it?”
regulus’ heart is thumping, his ears beginning to ring. he can feel his breathing become shallow as his chest tightens, lungs void of oxygen.
that’s my boyfriend! he wants to yell. don’t say anything about him, nor my brother! they’re worth twelve of you!
but he doesn’t. he stays in his seat, helpless, unable to concentrate on anything but his rising temperature and ragged breathing.
“mr black!” the teacher directs the class towards him. “don’t make me tell you again, pay attention!”
he sinks into his sseat, feeling his head become fuzzy as a sudden wave of nausea washes over him, and his heart rate quickens.
regulus stands up, knocking over his chair and stumbling to the door.
people are laughing, he can feel it, but all he can think is holy shit, this is how i die, this is how i die.
he throws himself around, unable to see straight. he isn’t sure where he’s going as he topples up some stairs, falling in every direction, until:
“reggie?”
he gasps, focusing on that voice. “help,” he wheezes, collapsing to his knees. “i’m—i think—death—"
there’s thudding, footsteps, and then regulus feels himself melting into james’ warm, tight embrace.
“focus on me, on my breathing,” james whispers soothingly. “you’re going to be okay, just focus on me, baby black.”
regulus’ hands grasp james’ shirt tightly, eyes squeezed shut as he listens to james’ heartbeat through his clothes.
“that’s it, reg, you’re okay, i’ve got you, nobody’s going to hurt you.”
it takes another few minutes until his breathing regulates again.
the younger boy opens his eyes, body still trembling and vision hazy, but he has the strength to pull back ffrom james’ touch and leans against the wall.
“what—” he breathes heavily. “what the fuck was that?”
“panic attack,” james strokes his cheek softly. “sirius gets them sometimes, after he has a nightmare.”
regulus nods, leaning his head back against the cool stone. “terrifying.”
“shouldn’t you be in class?”
the slytherin shakes his head. “couldn’t stay,” he whispers, jaw tight as he holds back tears. “they—they all hate me in there, because, well, you know...”
“could always beg minnie to let you stay in gryffindor,” james offers lightly as a joke. “then again, i’m leaving in a few months...”
regulus looks at his boyfriend. “hang on... shouldn’t you be in class?”
“free period,” james shrugs, half smiling, as he moves to sit next to regulus.
“i’m sorry about this,” regulus drops his head onto james’ shoulder, feeling his temperature even out and shaking stop.
“s’okay, as long as you’re not hurt?”
“no. you stopped me dying, thanks.”
james knows regulus has never had a panic attack. in the moment, not knowing what was happening, he probably felt like he was dying.
but james hears the edge to his tone, and knows exactly what reggie is trying to say.
thank you for saving me from them.
without james, regulus would’ve been dead already. rumours have ben flying for years, and no doubt his mother would’ve heard them sooner or later.
by opening their home, by opening their hearts, james’ family saved more than one innocent life.
but now, they’re safe, they’re free, they don’t have to think about what might’ve happened.
they’re all together.

Andrea wasn’t precisely shy about how highly she thought of herself -- years of building herself up from scratch had landed her in a comfortable enough position that she felt secure in her wealth and power. Which didn’t mean others didn’t need to be reminded often. To her employees, she was encouraging with tales of how she’d been in their shoes once upon a time; to her clients, she was welcoming because she knew how easily one could turn around and take business elsewhere.
But she knew the place and time to hype herself up -- and this wasn’t it. Not at this table, not after drinking a generous amount of alcohol, and definitely not with the company she watched approach her. She’d been successfully avoiding him since she’d arrived and she’d done a damn good, thank you very much, but he was fastly walking over and there was no time to jump and hide now.
Her poker face wasn’t as good as it had been in the past, she felt her smile falter when he finally took a sseat by her side. It was unfortunate, too, that the other three people at the table promptly stood up and walked off, leaving the two of them alone. “Evening,” she greeted him with the coolest tone she could manage. Maybe that one last drink hadn’t been such a great idea. “I don’t think I’ve seen you in my club before,” she started, doing her best to look innocent. Of what, she didn’t know yet, but Andrea knew she’d better be safe than sorry. “Chief Keaton, is it?” As if she didn’t know exactly who he was and why she’d been avoiding him for hours.

Garrus was tired… Actually saying he was tired wasn’t exactly accurate: He was exhausted. He’d been searching the demolished pieces of London for 4 days straight and it was beginning to feel like he’d never make it off that planet. Honestly though he wouldn’t have left even if he could… Not like anyone was going anywhere.
At least not anytime soon… Not with the mass relays down. Not with most of their technology fried and not without a way to fix it all.
But hope wasn’t lost, at least least not yet. Garrus was still in London. He could still find her…
As crazy as it sounds he knew she’d be down there, somewhere. Joker had spent nearly as much time as he had looking, in part they both knew it was because he was feeling guilty. Guilty for leaving her. Again.
No matter how unlikely, they didn’t stop though. Neither of them hardly sleeping or eating a wink– doing the bare minimum to function with only one goal in mind: Find Shepard.
Saying Garrus didn’t understand the probability would be like asking him if he knew how to calibrate his riffle. He knew that she was likely not going to be alive… That if she did make it off of the Citadel before it exploded– she would have just as likely died on her way down. Or at any point in the last 4 days they’d been searching the rubble to no avail.
If anyone knew the possibility, it was Garrus. But he also knew Jane Shepard. He knew how strong she was. How powerful she was. Shepard had died once and been brought back, hadn’t she?
Even if she was dead when he found her… Maybe there would be something Miranda could do…
With even the smallest possibility he couldn’t give up hope.
Today was like the three that came before it; fruitless and painful. Each day seeming less and less likely that she’d be found, but still… He couldn’t give up.
But today didn’t end the same as the three before it had… That evening he saw a burned set of N7 armor reflecting in the distance. In the first moments, he could have sworn he was hallucinating. But slowly he walked towards it, hardly breathing in an inch of air.
Everything inside told him to run to her, but the fear of her body being lifeless hung over him far too heavily.
“Please…” Garrus whispered to no one with wide eyes as he active the targeting on his visor.
There was a pulse… But what if it wasn’t Shepard over there after all? It could be any N7 soldier… He couldn’t see her face from there, and each footstep closer was heavier than the last.
Knowing his world would either be shattered to given life again was almost enough to make him scream then and there.
But he didn’t. He just closed the space between them finally seeing a pair of feet… Scanning slowly up a pair of legs, ending on a torso. It was definitely a woman in there. Her armor was so badly burned he was afraid to look at the rest of her…
When he slid his eyes to her arms, they were covered in burns and large bloody gashes- all of which had already begun healing and glowed of a bright orange hue.
“Shepard.”
Garrus threw himself beside her, pulling her face into his hands as he nearly wept with joy. She was alive… She was here… and she was alive.
Those fucking cybernetics Shepard hated so much was likely the only reason she was still alive right now. Quickly he paged Joker sending over their coordinates as he look down at her half burned face. He could still see those sweet brown freckles he loved so much speckled beneath the brown and red blood.
“Don’t leave me… Please Shepard.” Garrus whispered into her ear as he tuck her hair away from her face broken face.
“D…did you save me a– sseat?”
At first he was confused… but then he realized what she meant: the bar.
Garrus hugged her far tighter than he should have as the sounds of sirens and chatter approached steadily behind them. He looked down at her, one of her eyes could barely open it was so badly swollen and bruised… but her other… It shined a bright green: her bright green and she even seemed to be smiling at him.
“Of course I did… But they aren’t ready for us yet. They aren’t ready for you… We need you down here. I need you, Shepard.”
Now she was definitely smiling as she closed her eyes, and he knew in that moment she would be okay. That she’d always be okay. Because if there was one thing he learned from the first time she died.
It was that this life meant nothing without her in it.
