Hello again, Mamma Star! Thank you so much 💜💜💜 I wasn't sure if I was going to get a response or not, but you popped up the other day and I remembered how much you always seemed to lift my spirits and figured I could give it a shot (very much appreciate the saltines, thank you). I'm not trying to dump, but it happened with someone who I considered to be extremely important in my life and I am not handling things well right now (which is to be expected).

I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but I just keep getting told that and every time they do, things go to shit again. And I know this situation is going to screw my mental state up so badly for any future relationships I try to build. I have a terrible habit of pushing my emotions down, which is not good right now, but I am definitely doing my best to just let myself process. It was really bad yesterday, I will say that. I really hate feeling like this.

Lovely, Dark, and Deep is such an amazing story-Literally every time "The Woman" mentions Virgil I want to scream. Also it totally reminds me of this horror book I read, Deep, Dark, and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahm even though they're actually nothing alike. (I think it's just how the titles resonate in my dumb brain.) And oh my goddddddd the amount of times Logan called it a "Draw" even though Virgil corrected him was just precious, and the freckles and everything was just so CUTE.

Anyways, you're one of the best writers I know, have a great day.

This chapter was forever ago, but I'm still confused about it.

I was rereading LDAD (lovely fic, btw, one of my faves) and Logan turns into a human and is unable to use his electricity.

HOWEVER, during chapter 9, it says that he can use his electricity and he even eats multiple raw fish, despite being human. Virgil takes him to his room to sleep with him, and later, Logan like... glows in the dark.

I'm confused with the situation? Is Logan human or a merman during these scenes?

once logan turns into a human, he’s too weak from the change and the shock (plus the strain of learning to walk and his injuries) to use his electricity in that form. he’s still able to eat raw fish because his internal organs/stomach tolerance for raw fish hasn’t changed at all, and the glowing/bio-luminescence of his skin isn’t something that he has to consciously devote energy to. it’s just how his skin naturally is, the way that cats’ eyes naturally reflect green in low light
