Even now, with his father lost to the universe, and not even a body to bury, Gabriel was still here. He was in his room, in all the belongings his money had bought, in all the clothes that bore his brand. He was in the Miraculous on Adrien’s hand, the twin rings hanging from a chain he could never remove, in all the words Ladybug refused to tell Chat Noir. And he was in the statue in the Place des Vosges, immortalized in gold, looking out at the city with serene contemplation, but never down at Adrien. Never again. “He was Monarque,” Adrien spoke into the darkness. Maybe Plagg could hear, maybe not. His Kwami was always good about knowing just what Adrien wanted him to know. “My father was Monarque.” His words hung hollow in the silence, their weight somehow growing heavier on Adrien’s chest as he spoke. The voice didn’t answer, keeping silent long enough for Adrien to wonder, once more, if he really had imagined it. Then it was there again, as close and clear as though its speaker was in the room with him. You’re Chat Noir, it told him firmly. Cataclysm his statue.
moonie i'm obsessed.

You ever think about how Adrien probably has a lot of 'Those' fans?
Like the ones that act like they know him because of his commercials and now because of the Alliance rings. Like I know its a kid show but I think its totally feasible that Adrien probably has some 'Actual' stalkers. Why do you think Gabriel has a LOCKDOWN system in his mansion and not a single person questions it? Like seriously, it makes a lot of sense when you think about it, no one is going to question why Agreste manor is a literal fortress when you have a son with Celebrity status. Its kind of f***ing terrifying if you think about it. No wonder Adrien hates modeling.
People accuse Marinette of being a stalker, nah bro. You people got ZERO idea what an actual stalker is. Its f***ed up.

Technically Felix knows Gabriel was Hawkmoth and so does Ladybug so now I can only imagine Chat Noir jumping up onto a random roof in the middle of the night and seeing Ladybug and Argos sat down on a different roof with matching t-shirts and caps and upon closer inspection both T-shirts and caps say “Gabriel Agreste hate club” and upon even closer inspection they’ve both got a lot of spray paint and are getting ready to vandalise his statue

The End: Bad Ending
Adrien loses his life in the final battle when an akuma created to fight Félix’s senti accidentally hits him with its magic. Even Ladybug’s powers can’t undo that kind of damage. Because of that, Gabriel decides to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his son.

I love miraculous but I think a massive misstep for the show was to barely have the unit of ladybug, chat noir, rena rogue, carapace and queen bee work together. I love the season 2 finale because I think they worked so well together as a unit! Rena and carapace’s banter, chloe being snarky, carapace having chat noir’s back etc. it was so great. Sadly it wasn’t even in heroes day that much because they got akumatised pretty quickly. When I saw it again in miraculer (one of my fave eps) I was so glad they were continuing with it!! (Chloe’s writing in that ep was also rlly good). I wish they kept the group going rather than giving everyone in the class a miraculous (although I did end up liking this more than I thought I would and how it fleshes out the class more). Maybe if Thomas Astruc didn’t hate Chloe :/ (why would u start writing a redemption arc for a character and then stop halfway through like???). But yeah. I wish they had lots more interactions as heroes 😭 at least in season 5 we’ve had mari, adrien, alya and nino hang out again.

I like to think that after kissing Chat Noir out of Dark Cupid's spell in season one, Ladybug wouldn't stop thinking about it for weeks straight. Occupying her every waking thought and even her dreams ("No, Tikki! These are nightmares! NIGHTMARES! WHAT A DISASTER!!!")
Like holy shit!? Who knew that a boy's lips could be so soft??? And he tasted sweet as well! (Very familiar to the candy apples she gave out in class). And he's absolutely NOT her first kiss no no no THAT DOESN'T COUNT. They were just TOUCHING LIPS. THAT'S RIGHT. Her first will be with ADRIEN of course-- butshedoesn'tmindthatit'schatnoir I MEAN SHE DOES MIND.
Chat Noir's lips were so shapely and softer than she had ever imagined. It was meant to be a quick press. A BAM. But no...she ENJOYED it.
"Damn you Chat Noir and your stupid lips grr grr..."
"What was that, My Lady?"
"NOTHING."

I can totally imagine Lila ( as Ladymoth ) revealing to Adrien that his father was Hawkmoth to try and get him akumatized, but he transforms into Chat Noir and destroys this statue instead.
Just like how he almost cataclysmed the Christmas tree in the Christmas Special, but this time he'll have no regrets destroying this statue of a fake good person who never even existed in the first place. 😃✨

“The new ladybug and cat had one job and it was to not fall in love—” ACTUALLY their one job was to Not have a mental breakdown about secret identities.
Marinette and Adrien were so in love and it was never a problem. They were always allowed to be in love, they just have to be cool with Not Knowing who they are as civilians. That was the thing that was crushing them and the reason they needed to take a break and get some perspective and remember how to be Kids for a minute.
If a new ladybug and cat wielder flirted incessantly and also thought that keeping their identities secret was fun and sexy then they would be absolutely fulfilling their job requirement perfectly. And in that case they could and should be allowed to kiss on the lips. In this essay I will—

I honestly could write an essay about how Miraculous Ladybug isn't a good story... but to summarize why it doesn't work as a story: Gabriel shouldn't have been the main villain of the story, because it robs Adrien of having an arc.
I know Thomas wanted Adrien to basically be The Girl character we always see in action cartoons with male leads, so he doesn't have to think too hard about writing a decent romance. Even though good romance stories need to develop both of it's main leads, so that we - as the audience - can be invested in them and their relationship with one another.
Gabriel should have been used as the antagonist Adrien needs to overcome, while Marinette should have got a Big Bad that's relevant to HER character arc.
This story's foundation - the protagonists' [Marinette's] conflict with the main antagonistic force [Gabriel] - isn't well thought out, so everything else that's built on top of this foundation isn't going to be stable. This is where the show fails as a story and why the writing often times is completely nonsensical.
