9. “You can’t banish me! This is my bed too!” for Robron? 😊

Robert had mostly not meant the slightly nasty comment he’d made about Chas’ new hairdo.

Mostly.

He just hadn’t expected it to get him in the trouble it had gotten him in, Aaron steadfast in his refusal to speak to Robert the entire evening after they’d gotten home, banging dishes and plates in the sink like a man determined to break everything they owned.

And now?

Now he was being banished from his own bedroom.

“Aaron, come on, don’t be liket his,” Robert pleaded, standing in the doorway of their bedroom, bare feet curling against the soft carpet of their upstairs landing. His husband had given him the courtesy of showering and brushing his teeth before he’d demanded Robert fuck off, a stony expression on his face.

“Be like what?” Aaron gave him aninnocent look.

“It’s my bed too!” Robert protested. “You can’t just banish me from it.”

Aaron smiled sweetly at him, ahand on their bedroom door. “I can, and I will,” he said, slamming it with an unnecessary amount of force, the key turning in the lock.

That was that, then.

Robert, at the grand old age of thirty-three,had just been kicked out of his own bedroom by his irate husband.

In his own defence, Chas hadlooked like a poodle after her visit to Hotten’s only (and not particularly good at their job) hairdresser.

(That defence wasn’t exactly going to get him a good night’s sleep.)

Sighing, Robert padded down thehallway to Seb’s room, easing the door open gently. Thankfully, Sebastian wasfast asleep, tiny wheezing noises escaping his mouth, the kind that stillmelted Robert’s heart right down to his toes.

Settling his head on the pile ofsoft toys that had found a home in the corner of the room, the teddy bears making for a half decent pillow, Robert laid down, lamenting the fact he hadn’t grabbed a blanket before he’d been booted from his own room, Seb’s baby blanket not exactly going to do much to keep him warm.

It would be too much to get into his son’s cot next to him, wouldn’t it?

(It would.)

Robert really needed to learn how to keep his stupid mouth shut.
