In the past week;

Top hose of my car had a hole, leaked coolant, caused my engine temperature to spike and the engine to overheat to the point it was smoking

Water pump in the car had a leak two days later, leaked coolant everywhere again, got stuck on the side of the interstate in 98 degree heat

Grandma died

Now there’s a hole in the steel belt of my tire and I have an air bubble so I gotta get a new tire, it could also be a steering column issue if the car keeps pulling right

But hey, at least I saw Charles in Miami 🫠

ANDY WAS SO SWEET IM GOING TO CRY...... I was in the doorway getting my photo op ticket checked when he walked in and him and his handler both complimented my makeup..... Andy was like "I mean, really, you have a career in this" and his handler asked to take a picture of me and said she would show it to Casey Biggs later???? I'm gonna go to Andy's table later to get my copy of ASIT signed but rn I'm just taking a breather lol. I was feeling Unwell this morning (normal regular occurrence for me dw) and rushing to get my makeup done before the photo op time and I was so nervous but GOD Andy is so so sweet he just instantly put me at ease he's so wonderful.......

I'll be going to Prague by bus on Monday (short city trip with my mom) and I'm downloading The Fellowship audio book in English! I've listened to the German one which was easy to follow (not very easy, but okay) and I hope the English version won't be too hard haha...

We'll be in Prague for 3 days. My mom found this trip online, it includes a sightseeing tour, hotel and other amenities, but the main event is the Bruce Springsteen concert on day 2!

i have GOT to stop eating things i'm allergic to these foods are not giving me energy all they're doing is making my tummy hurt

#allergic to eggs and gluten #but i had ramen like 6 times in the last week #the pms cravings got my ass #also allergic to vanilla and beans and pineapple and a handful of other things #it wont kill me but the fatigue and stomach pain really isnt worth #not to mention the nausea #i wonder sometimes if i don't have crohns disease at all and just have these food allergies #bc my endoscopy only showed mild inflammation #technically i have microscopic/indeterminate colitis but if untreated it evolves into crohns or uc #and so based on my symptoms they call it crohns and are treating it as crohns #anyway since the inflammation was on the microscopic level it's entirely possible that it's just food allergies #which is still autoimmune mind you #but has a much easier treatment than crohns does #and i've noticed since i stopped gaffing abt my diet again my stomach hurts im having diarrhea im nauseous #hell my joints and head hurt again too #BUT i also havent been taking my meds so idk #i should talk to my doctor but i dont like him #so idk what to do #it's whatever

took my meds yesterday and today. slept like shit. nauseous. starting to notice a connection.

#i dont know if its just like the influx of chemicals from not taking my meds consistently #but every time i start taking them again i get nauseous #and now its making my gummy not work #so :/ #gonna try to take them for about a week to see if it gets better #but if not my mom had the idea to stop all of them and then slowly add them back in #like one at a time to figure out which one is bothering me #i havent been nauseous like this since high school #and the only med i was on then was birth control #and every time my obgyn tried to increase the estrogen in my bc #because im on a progesterone one #but when we tried to switch to loloestrin or w/e it was instant nausea. #i think maybe my body just really doesnt like my hormones #idk what the fix would be. #anywayyyy rant over

I would rather be stuck with cramps all week with nothing for the pain than have a sore throat for a day.

I would also rather be stabbed than have a headache.

Idk why but for me these are the worst forms of pain and discomfort and I would do anything to get rid of them. And also nothing works.

I did not hit last years goal of finishing one of my original stories. But on the bright side, I did write over one novel's Worth of words. So here's to hoping this new year I focus more on One story at a time so I can start finishing things. I'll count this as a kind of win. (I'd still like to finish at least one of my original stories before January ends just so I can say I've finally finished one asap lol)

In other news. This past year, sunday, I had italian bread with butter. I had lemon cake this year. I had pizza, the last two days in a row. I have had a waffle almost every day of the week. I still have to take benedryl if I overdo it, or more gi medicine if I really screw up. But this time last year I couldn't touch bread, pasta, waffles, any wheat. This time last year I was dreaming and hoping miserably I'd get to have toast and pizza again. That I'd be able to risk any dairy. Any wheat. My only severe allergy left now is potato. I'm still a ways away from being able to stop needing my gi meds to eat. But rhe fact I simply CAN eat, most days, relaibly without worrying I won't be able to the next day? Awesome. I had a bad flare in August and was on a liquid diet and feared I'd never eat yummy food again. And all of 2022 was awful mush. I'm so so grateful I can eat a waffle, and will probably still be able to eat the next day. I'm going to sincerely hope now this is the year I'll be able to transition off of needing gi meds.

#rant #new year #my health issues #mejo writing #regarding the health stuff: i have gastroparesis. it was worse last year. i was on liquid or mush diet #during flares im unfortunately still eating mushy solids and mainly liquods #but my flares are shorter now #and less food is triggering flares now #it used to be 1 risk of eating bread like a small piece of toast and i had nausea 4 days puking and couldnt use bathroom #now i can eat about 2 handfuls of wheat daily and dont get a flare up unless i surpass that amount #im still angry i meed my 3 daily meds or else i will be in the ER in a couple weeks from vomiting and unable to use bathtoom #but im hoping as i keep gradually tolerating solid foods more... that hopefully ill be able to lower and eventually stop my expensive meds #i want my gi tract to heal and work the way its supposed to healthily again #and during the health issues my allergies got worse. but ive been taking a probiotic i happen to tolerate #and gradually my food allergies have gotten less severe (except potato. i got way worse allergies to potato now)
