Splatoon Headcanons - #1!

Let's start off with a classic, ''How do specials/bombs work?"

My personal headcanon is that they are adjustable in size.

For example, the Tentacooler starts off as a small, tuna can-like container. Once placed, it expands into a tall cylinder with drinks on it.

I think that the specials can be downsized enough to fit into this part of the inktank.

Either that, or the specials go on the side or the bottom, and the bombs go on the top (since it kinda looks like a curling bomb.) I just know I believe it comes from somewhere on the inkling or octoling's back, due to how the sub/special activation animations look.

Notice how the inkling pulls the Tenta Missles from their back like that?

My exeptions to this are non-weapon based specials (Splashdown, Kraken, Ink Armor, etc) I believe those are embedded into the weapons themselves (similar to my HC for ability chunks, which I'll get to in a different post.) rather than being an add-on that comes with the weapon like the other specials + bombs.

By the way, when I say bombs, I mean subs in general.

the current splatoon challenge was MADE for me im so glad i was paying attention to the challenges despite not playing since splatfest

a few months ago i was doing this thing i called brella sweep which was basically just me trying to get undercover brella to superfresh and i played almost exclusively brella (in regular) for *months*

A new type of boss salmonid classified as 'Decoy' has been appearing lately. It seems the salmonids are trying new psychological tactics to hinder our employees.

An employee was kind enough to take an on-site photo of this new boss type, our photographer left a few months ago for "life related reasons"
