Professional ear wax removal employs advanced techniques like microsuction, minimising the risk of injuries. Professionals prioritise your safety, using sterile equipment to ensure a secure and comfortable experience.
Myth 4: Earwax Removal Triggers Hearing Loss
Some believe that removing earwax may lead to hearing loss. The truth is, excessive earwax can cause mild hearing loss. However, professional earwax removal is designed to restore and improve your hearing immediately, ensuring you leave with crystal-clear ears.
Myth 5: Earwax Candles Provide a Safe Alternative

Brion Gysin
“ Brion Gysin (1916 –1986) was a painter, writer, sound poet, and performance artist born in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. He is best known for his discovery of the cut-up technique, used by his friend, the novelist William S. Burroughs. With the engineer Ian Sommerville he invented the Dreamachine, a flicker device designed as an art object to be viewed with the eyes closed. It was in painting and drawing, however, that Gysin devoted his greatest efforts, creating calligraphic works inspired by the cursive Japanese “grass” script and Arabic script. Burroughs later stated that “Brion Gysin was the only man I ever respected.”

"There were three great ship-burials near this Thames of yours, in days past. One was dug up in the last century near Taplow, and destroyed in the process. One was this ship of the Light, not destined ever to be found by men. And one was the greatest ship, of the greatest king of all, and this they have not found and perhaps never will. It lies in peace."
Merriman, assuaging Will's horror as the Rider spitefully sets the ship on fire with lightning:
"When his king's father died, he was laid in a ship in the same way, with all his most splendid possessions round him, but the ship was not buried. That was not the way. The king's men set fire to it and sent it off burning alone over the sea, a tremendous sailing pyre. And that, look, is what our King of the Last Sign is doing now: sailing in fire and water to his long rest, down the greatest river of England, towards the sea."

Cold vs Flu: How to Identify the Difference
Tumblr media
As international travel grows more accessible and enticing for globetrotters, it is important for them to know about common health ailments they might encounter. Among the most prevalent are the common cold and the flu, both notorious for dampening travel experiences and putting a damper on holiday plans.
In this blog, we’ll shed light on the distinctive symptoms of these two common ailments and how you can get vaccinated at a travel clinic in Gerrards Cross, Fulmer, and Taplow.
Decoding the Symptoms
Let’s begin by dissecting the common cold symptoms vs. flu symptoms, as recognising them is the first step to effective management. The common cold usually starts with a sore throat, followed by sneezing and a runny or stuffy nose. You might experience a mild cough and feel a bit tired, but rest and fluids often do the trick.
On the other hand, the flu hits harder and faster. Symptoms include a sudden onset of fever, body aches, fatigue, and a dry cough. Unlike the common cold, the flu can lead to more severe complications, making it essential to differentiate between the two.
Seeking Guidance from NHS
For a more detailed understanding, let’s turn to the trusted NHS for cold vs. flu symptoms. The symptoms of flu and cold are quite similar, and cold symptoms tend to be milder and can be managed with over-the-counter medications. In contrast, the flu demands more attention, with vaccines prescribed to reduce the severity and duration of symptoms.
How can we help?
Understanding the distinction is important, not only for personal well-being but also for those considering preventive measures before jet-setting off to their next destination. This is where our travel clinic services in Fulmer, Gerrards Cross, and Taplow can help you with expert guidance.
Beyond the symptoms, understanding the fundamental differences between the common cold and the flu is crucial. The flu tends to come on suddenly and can lead to more severe complications such as pneumonia or bronchitis. While a cold might make you feel unwell, it rarely results in serious health issues.
Taking Preventive Measures
Now that we’ve uncovered the nuances of cold and flu symptoms, it’s time to focus on preventive measures. A visit to our travel vaccination clinic in Taplow, Gerrards Cross, or Fulmer can provide personalised advice on vaccinations and health precautions based on your destination.
Our clinics specialise in providing essential vaccinations to protect against various diseases, ensuring you’re not only physically prepared but also equipped to stay healthy during your travels.
Empowering Your Health Journey with Aroga Pharmacy
When we talk about cold vs flu, remember that knowledge is your best defence against these seasonal adversaries. Whether you’re battling a cold at home or gearing up for international travel, staying informed and taking proactive measures can make all the difference.
So, the next time you plan a trip, consider a visit to our travel clinic in Gerrards Cross. Contact us to learn more about our travel clinic services.
