How does the JNRZ team deals with "Jaune's Fanclub"?

The constant thank you notes and casseroles send to Jaune. He already has Flora and Willow bewitched by the Arc charm.

The Team tries to be jovial about it, messing with Jaune from time to time for all the attention he gets, it's just sometimes it can get to be a bit of an issue for them when they're trying to do their jobs.

Team JNRZ rushes up to a woman sitting on a park bench.

Jaune: Excuse me ma'am, are you Valerie Maldives?

Valerie: *Gets up excitedly* Yes! Yes I am! You received my message?

Neon: Sure did! Came right over here as soon as we heard how urgent it is.

Valerie: Thankyou! I didn't know how else to contact you.

Jaune: No worries. All that matters is that we're here to help. So, can you tell us more about this missing person?

Valerie: Yes. I just can't seem to find my husband anywhere. I was hoping that maybe a tall handsome young man like you maybe could fill that role?

JNRZ: *Exasperated groans*

May: Are you for real right now?

Reese: Lady we goddamn skipped breakfast for THIS!

Cut to an city intersection, crossing guard Jaune watching over the local kids.

Jaune: That's it guys. An orderly line means you'll cross just fine!

Kid: Mr. Arc, my mommy wanted me to give you this, and told me to say thankyou for helping me! *Hands Jaune a letter*

Neon: Oooh! Looks like Stud got a love letter~

Jaune: *Opens letter* Oh please, I'm sure it's just a thankyou note. *Pulls out polaroid's and starts blushing hard* N-n-n-naked!!

Reese: Whoa! She sure looks thankful alright, and limber.

May: Who has their own child deliver nudes?!

Jaune: *Carrying a whole stack of food trays and casseroles into a food shelter*

Volunteer: Wow! Well will you look at that? You make that all yourself kid?

Jaune: *Tired eyes* Let's just say I collect local donations from caring mothers around the area. VERY caring mothers.

JNRZ October Update!

After a while in an impromptu hiatus, JNRZ is finally back in time for my favorite time of year! The blog’s ask box has been reopened so feel free to stop by, I’m sure I have plenty of catching up to do.

I’d also like to take this time to announce that in celebration of my favorite holiday, I will be releasing a JNRZ Halloween Special Drabble, after which I’ll then proceed to continue writing for the JNRZ Year 1 storyline you all have been waiting so patiently for!

Can I ask when was basically the first week of the JNRZ dorm... like three girls and a guy co-ed situation + one girl swings to the other side.

The JNRZ dorm was formed since pretty much the first day of school. Teams were formed before the school year started so their living arrangements were also decided by that time.

Everyone is talking about kids and other stuff if the whole team hooked up. But the REAL thing that we should be asking is would they keep their bed arrangements the same? Or would they change it?

Hmmm, bunk beds for four married adults would be abit weird, huh?

How about this. Each JNRZ has their own bed room that doubles as either their home office or personal workplace. Each member can spend the night within eachothers rooms whenever they see fit. But then they have "The Bed Room" which is just a room with one large king sized bed they'll all share from time to time and the kids aren't allowed to go into.

Has the headmistress of Bulwark ever gotten a thank you letter from the police for when JNRZ are helping them or maybe a positive report saying how the police would like to work with them again

What would a typical Arcade date look like between the four?

Honestly, it would be alot like how they usually hangout as a group. Going to the movies, going to the arcade, going to the boardwalk, etc. The only real difference I'd imagine is alot more PDA.

I can't help but to feel JNRZ would be the perfect yordles, that said, is there any team JNRZ really don't like?

Nah, none of the other Huntsmen Teams in their year really stick out to them as particularly dislikable. Maybe a couple of the teams from the older years for dunking on the freshmen, but no one they really bothered to learn the names of.

Which team is Team JNRZ closest to? Or are they in equal standings with the other teams that you write?

Without spoilers, all I can say that there is going to be clear dynamic shifts between teams, but pretty much the Teams they tend to hangout with most are Team Wisdom (Weiss, Ilia, Emerald, and Gwen) and Team Crimson (Flynt, Mercury, Sun, and Neptune). Every once in a while they will also hang with a few of the Cadets (Mostly Penny) and the ever mysterious Team Dune (Dove, Nadir, Nolan, and Octavia) whenever they happen to be around.

I've got two headcanons. Both are based on stuff I've seen these past few months.

Headcanon 1:

This first one is based on your second post, the illustration of Jaune carrying his teammates with all of them in various states of distress and dishevelment.

This is actually a surprisingly common sight around Bulwark. With how active JNRZ is with patrolling around Atlas and Mantle, them stumbling upon so much trouble is something the student body is somewhat envious of. Being seen doing cool stuff is what many consider a big perk for becoming Huntsmen, as it tends to lead steady work, income and prestige.

Those same students are also grateful that it's JNRZ and not them getting alarmingly routinely blown up, covered in junk, dust, or soil and what not. People's got other bills to pay and dry-cleaning and equipment repair ain't cheap.

Of course, Jaune being seen carrying all three with rather surprising ease also contributes to the pervasive rumour that the blond knight is actually a Harem Protagonist. Because that particular rumour shall not die an easy death.

Headcanon 2:

This one I basically got thanks to fanfic writer Urist over on AO3. They've got a series of Bees' Schnees fic that are absolutely incredible and hilarious. Definitely, and shamelessly, recommending it here and now.

Anyway, the thought I had thanks to that is the following:

Inside the buildings of Bulwark academy campus, with some regularity, a rather dusty looking crow is spotted nesting in various high nooks, crannies and alcoves.

With similar regularity, around those same nests, a rather dusty looking Professor Branwen is spotted having fallen out of nowhere, hungover and sporting new scuff marks bruises that he refuses to explain.

This has lead to people believing that the crow and Qrow are mortal enemies of some kind and that the crow is, somehow, winning.

For reasons unknown, the professor has declined any and all help in getting payback and has told everyone to leave the bird be, which has been reinforcing the notion that there's some sort of important vendetta between the two.

I freaking love that Qrow idea! Too good.

You've told how JNR_ helps out May on a bad day. How does JNRZ go about helping out the rest? I can imagine Neon "Nothing gets me down" Katt to actually have the worst 'down' days of the team, her kind of positive energy is susceptible to big emotional crashes. I feel like Reese would be the most stable of the lot, whilst with Jaune it's becoming somewhat routine to lift his spirits after combat training.

What characters do in general to help people who are feeling down.

Jaune: Lends an ear to to let people vent their troubles.

Neon: Makes her Katt Special Cocoa

Reese: Uses the signature Chloris "Hope You Feel Better Hug"

May: Prepares specially made snacks.

Specially Designed Remedies:

JAUNE

Neon: Cuts the crap and stops teasing him for as long as he's upset. Will do little gestures for him while giving him genuine words of encouragement and comfort.

Reese: Reese brings out their comics book collections and relaxes with him for a reading session. Also makes an effort to stay out of trouble just for him

May: May has picked up some recipes from Jaune's mom for Gallorish dishes and will make some for Jaune when he's down. It makes him feel right at home.

NEON

Jaune: Pulls out a list of his dad's pickup lines and reads through it with her. They always get a laugh out of Neon, and a part of her secretly likes it when Jaune badly flirts with her.

Reese: Splits a jug of ice cream just for the two of them and both rant about life's various bullshit till they both run of steam and cream.

May: Will brave a hug just for her. Neon loves May's hugs, but knows it takes a lot out of the poor girl. May puts up with it when Neon is down just to give her a longer hug.

REESE

Jaune: Will voluntarily help Reese pull off a harmless prank where as he usually has to be dragged into her shenanigans. Also Princess Carry's and piggy back rides abound.

Neon: Telenovela Marathon baby!!! Time to feel better about themselves by comparison as they watch irresponsible adults fuck up their lives, their relationships, and each other!

May: Helps Reese collect a bunch of random objects and haul it to the gun range so they can blast it all to bits with their weapons for target practice.

Question for winter what are your thoughts on team JNRZ?

Winter: Although their tactics are rather... unusual even by Huntsmen standards, it does seem that their out of the box thinking has delivered them their fair share of victories. To see them in the field alongside Atlesian soldiers would be an interesting sight.

JNRZ on Family feud, competing against SSSN

Jaune and Neon are big fans of the show, as they used to watch it with their families all the time. Reese is familiar with the show, but she imagines it's like a boring triva game show.

Jaune always guess correctly but embarrass himself and the team by sharing a couple of funny stories with the audience.

Neon is taking the show more seriously, but her answers being is like tossing a coin, and betting wether it's heads or tails.

Reese wasn't too enthusiastic about it at first, but quickly turns into a crackling goblin over the few misshaps and gets into a competition with over who can the most weird answers right.

May tries to keep up, but stage fright makes her reaction time slow and sometimes makes her stumble over her words, leading to some hilarious answers.

Editional

Sun has gone rougue the moment he stepped into the building. He says all the weirdest stuff, and gets them right most of the tike, much to the dismay of the host.

Sage is the only serious one on the team, he's trying to get the team to work together and to win, but he's still having fun.

Scarlett is trying to flirt with host, but is still trying to win in his own way.

Neptune is like Jaune, getting all of his guess right, but tells stories that makes him or SSSN look cool, and is usually called out by either JNRZ or by his own team for some ...artistic liberty

(P.S. they all agreed to share the prize with the losing team.)

Oh I like it! Very detailed and interesting choice bringing original Team SSSN in on the action!

So question specifically for William and Sonia what are your opinions on the team JNRZ

William: They're admittedly a mixed bag for me. Arc and Neon don't keep up with their weapon maintenance as much as they should while May does a remarkable job keeping her rifle in peak condition.

But then there's Reese... I have never seen such an amazing feat of engineering in the hands of someone so... FILTHY! You know how absolutely agonizing it is to see a hoverboard with it's own self recharging dust reactor to be covered in fucking CHEEZEY FLAKE DUST?!

Sonia: I absolutely love them! (Don't tell Cardin I said that) They're just super fun to hang around with, and Neon is like the sweetest to me. We go and party all the time together!

does ironwood brag about his students doing community service of there own free will with no extra credit on the line. I could imagine goodwitch being green with envy students helping civilians without causing explosions. ( I know JNRZ has probably caused a boom or two but goodwich dosen't know that)

Ironwood absolutely loves it. Good soldiers follow orders, but great leaders take the initiative.

While Ozpin brags about his beloved Team CFVY, even he has to admit its rather endearing to see Huntsmen in the making choose to help people without promise of money or any other ulterior motives.
