TFP reacting to you coming to the base with an injury (more specifically a leg injury)

Authors note: I may or may not have fell through my porch (stop laughing how dare you) and injured my leg rly bad, i am in pain lol and this is how im coping

Optimus Prime/Ratchet:

Optimus was working and discussing something with Ratchet when they saw you hobbling towards the stairs like some elderly person

Immediately asked what was wrong and if you're alright

You nod and wave it off as nothing, but your hesitation to walk up the stairs said otherwise

Once they realize something's up with your leg, Ratchet quickly goes into medic-mode and Optimus wants to know what happened, how it happened, and if your ok

Now you have two old bots asking a billion questions at once

After you've sat down on the bottoms steps and reassure them you're alright, you explain what happened

Both of them are like :0

Ratchet goes into medic-mode AGAIN, grumbling something along the lines of "how have humans survived this long" and "cannot believe humans use wood for architecture when it's such a safety hazard"

Optimus is calmer now knowing that you're ok, but still watches as Ratchet makes sure you're 100% not dying

Eventually they settle down, and lift you up very carefully to the couch area where you can rest

Don't you even THINK about touching those stairs.

Bumblebee:

Freaks out for a second

*panicked beeping noises* "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FELL THROUGH THE FLOOR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR LEG ARE YOU OK!!??"

You calm him down, explaining that it was just your leg that went through and all you got were a few splinters and some nasty scratches

He'll do whatever he can to make you feel better

Video games? Absolutely !! TV? Yes ! Taking you on a drive? Yesyes

Figures that if he keeps you busy (but off your leg), it'll distract you from the pain

and it works, but you do eventually need to rest and he'll be there if you need help with anything

Arcee:

"You what"

Kind of the same reaction as bumblebee but 10x calmer (at least on the outside)

On the inside she's worried bc you just told her you hurt your leg, yet you're WALKING still (wouldn't even call it walking, more like shakily limping around)

Arcee's not gonna baby you but she is gonna make sure you're ok throughout the day

Which means she's probably gonna stick by you a lot more

You don't mind it though, the two of you chat and chill most of the time

If she has to go on a mission while you're still recovering, she'll put you on the couch in the base and says if you even think about moving she'll fuck up your other leg (not really ofc but her "arcee-ness" tone makes you listen anyways)

Bulkhead:

Sweet bot i love him so much <33

You explain what happened in great detail and if cybertronians could get queasy, he would most definitely be

If Miko was there she would be all ears though LMAO

"Was there a lot of blood???!!!" "MIKO!"

Ofc asks if you're ok and how long it'll take until you get better

Probably'll ask Ratchet or June if he can do anything to help, and June says to make sure you change your bandages every few hours, and put medicine on so there's no risk of infection

Bulkhead states that humans need to be wrapped up in what the kids called "bubble-wrap" 24/7

Ratchet agrees

It was a normal routine on the Nemesis. Soundwave was doing some work, Starscream was probably plotting something to overthrow Megatron, Shockwave was just in his lab doing who knows what, Knockout and Breakdown were prob making out in the medbay, Dreadwing was walking around the Nemesis, Predaking was just planning to kill Starscream, Airachnid? Idfk. And Megatron was prob smoking dark energon in his berth

Just then, Soundwave picked up a signal of a pod that had crash on earth. Megatron sent Starscream and Knockout to go check it out, seeing the two come back with a pod full of sparklings.

wuh oh.

Megatron:

-is kinda disappointed bc he thought there’d be something useful inside, although new sparklings means new soldiers, so it wasn’t that bad.

-he quickly ordered knockout and breakdown to check up the little ones tand wanted results soon after. (He wanted to know if they were in good condition for fighting in the future)

-he’d probably order some vehicons to make some type of room to care for the sparklings. And yes he’d keep them. Why? Well, not only does he want them for the future, but there’s a war happening. He doesn’t want anything to happen to them☹️

-after some time the sparklings had arrived he saw one all alone just in the halls of the Nemesis. He was confused, but he just picked up the thing and as soon as he did it beeped at him, smiling afterwards and started to play with his digits.

“Frag..” Megatron sighed.

-after that encounter let’s just say there would be atleast a couple of sparklings taken by the warlord. (He wants to tell them stories of cybertron and his past)

-sometimes you could catch him holding a sparkling or two while ordering some vehicons to do stuff. (He doesn’t scream at them though, they’re lucky a sparkling is near💀)

Starscream:

-he hated them. Hate hate hate hate.

-why? One of them spat on him 💀

-at first he thinks they’re gross and useless. Like, he doesn’t want gross babies around the ship during a war.

-sometimes when he’s ordered to take care of some he’d make some vehicons (Steve) to take care of them instead. He doesn’t have time for gross creatures.

-one day Starscream saw one of the sparklings in his berth, it was left by Steve(he still loves the sparklings, he just got tired of Starscreams bs)

-this specific sparkling was one that was able to at least mutter some things out. So next thing you know, Starscream is telling the sparkling to repeat after him💀

“Repeat after me, little one. ‘Lord starscream’” The sparkling just babbled and giggled at him while he huffed in slight annoyance.

-after that he’d still atleast a couple of sparklings from others just to teach them words like, “lord Starscream” or “master Starscream.” He wants them to know he’s gonna be the lord one day😭

-the more he took them the more they grew to him. Sometimes he’d just take some just bc he wants something to snuggle with after getting his aft kicked by Megatron.

Knockout:

-same reaction as Starscream. But he doesn’t hate hate them, he’s just a little grossed out bc they’re babies (he was rlly grossed out when one spat on Starscream, but it was funny)

-When Megatron ordered him and Breakdown to take care of some he instantly gave them to Breakdown. He doesn’t want anything happening to his paint🙄

-after a while, Breakdown eventually made Knockout to hold one. As soon as Breakdown gently gave it to Knockout, it snuggled into his chassis and smiled up at him. His spark ached. It wasn’t so anything disgusting, it was just snuggling with him.

Sparkling cooing at him with a smile while Knockout started processing his thoughts.

“Hm. You’re cuter and more behaved than I thought..” He mumbled.

-after that the more Megatron would order him and Breakdown to take care of them he is more than happy to. He loves them now. He wouldn’t steal them since he sees them everyday. (They’re babies wondering on a war ship, they’re gonna get hurt🤷🏻‍♀️)

-he’d tell them stories of his races, sometimes he’d lie and say he’d win the races he’s actually lost at💀 he’d also rant to them about drama stories or horror movies he’s watched at the drive in theaters, in return he’d get some giggles and babbles and he loved it<3

Breakdown:

-he LOVES them.

-at first though he was confused, and a little scared. He didn’t wanna step on any of them, they’re so small he has to make sure of his surroundings 😢

-when Megatron first ordered him and Knockout to take care of them he was excited, still nervous tho. When Knockout gave all of them to him he was ecstatic.

-he’d play with them, show them around the Medbay, make them laugh, like omfg he can do this with our babies too ykyk. (IM JPJPJPJP. maybe.)😓

Breakdown just holding a sparkling.The sparkling playing with his digits and giggling. *cue happy tears* </3

-he loves talking to them, he just says random things and they just listen closely. He loves Knockout, but it’s good to talk to someone else in the Medbay too yk?

-He wouldn’t really steal any sparklings since he’d see them everyday either way. (Again, Babies on a war ship.) He loves them very much even if he’s able to crush them☺️

Soundwave:

-he was a little confused, why was there sparklings just in a random pod? Could they all have a carrier? What’s happening.

-he honestly didn’t mind tho since there’s a war happening and sparklings cannot survive in war conditions.

-when Megatron first ordered him to take of some he was more than willing to.

Sparklings giggling while they’re in his tentacles as he works-

-ok. Yeah. He doesn’t know the best way to take care of them, so he just lets them rest in his tentacles while he does work.

-but he’d eventually do more like flash them smiley faces on his visor, play some shows like MLP. (Megatron was caught watching MLP with them once-) and he’d even let them mess with laserbeak. He’s pretty gentle with them, he’s just gotta do work to ykyk.

-when some can’t sleep he’d walk around the Nemesis with one and let them hear recordings he’s taken to make them sleep in his arms. (He’d play like lullabies🥹)

Shockwave:

-he thought it was illogical they were there. I mean, war times, hello????

-he didn’t gaf abt their presence. He’s busy in his lab doing stuff (to me) Jk!!

-But when the day Megatron ordered him to at least take care of one he acted differently towards the little ones.

Sparkling just watching him work, “what is it that your optics are looking at..?” Shockwave asked, the sparkling just giggled at him. Making his spark ache a bit, all he said was, “illogical answer.” 💀

-honestly, it’s nice having someone else in the lab other than himself. Sometimes he’d get to show them how some projects work and see the little reactions he gets from the sparkling(s) (dw the projects r like safer ones)

-he’d make them little stuff too in case they ever get bored while he works. And he’d make little goggles for their optics in case of danger.

-Although, it’ll take him a while to act like this to them. He’s not used to acting so differently around others, especially sparklings. (It’s been a while, give him a lil break-) But he’ll definitely warm up to them dw<3

Dreadwing:

-MY NUMBER 1😍😍😍😍😍

-at first he felt awful. Seeing little sparklings in a pod during war ached his spark. He was like one of the only Decepticons on the ship that still had some good in him.

-when Megatron ordered him to take care of some he did so right away. Not just bc he was loyal to Megatron, bc he wanted to actually care for them.

Sparkling(s) just sleeping in his arm while snoring softly. “I’ll protect you no matter what..” Dreadwing mumbled.

-love this man.😢

-he doesn’t want them to go through anything, especially after the loss of his twin brother. Losing him was enough, losing these sparklings who haven’t even gone through much of life yet would hurt his spark even more.

-he’d cradle them, cuddle, literally anything that’s good. He’d take them from Starscream tbh, he doesn’t want Starscream rotting their brains with dumb bs.

-He’d also take some from others when they’re not looking bc he loves them sm.

-sometimes you could catch him under a pile of them while just smiling or chuckling. (Ima marry this man omfg. HES ALIVE TO ME.😒)

Predaking:

-confused. What’s a sparkling?

-when he’s told what they are he’s a little scared of them. He’s like a cat scared of a little puppy. 😭

-but when Megatron assigned him to take one he instantly warmed up.

Sparkling crawling around and Predaking in his alt just sniffing it. Once the sparkling sneezed he flinched a bit but he loved its small cute beep sound. “You’re mine now.”

-he’d carry some almost everywhere. He’d also give them little ride when he’s in his alt mode. Like he’d let them hop on from his wings and like fly around, not to high though. He’d fly like the perfect height for them.

-you could also catch this dude stealing some sparklings, ending up with him behind buried in them while he rests in his alt.

-he’d especially take some from Starscream and teach them to say nasty things abt him. He’d growl at anyone (mainly Starscream) who tries stealing one from himself.

Airachnid:

-HATES THEM.

-literally she is the last Megatron would assigned the sparklings to. ACTUALLY NO. I DONT EVEN THINK HE WOULD ASSIGN ANY TO HER AT ALL. (I’m sorry Airachnid lovers, it’s the truth tho)

-if she even had the chance she’d probably just leave them. Or fucking eat it.

-although if she’s in her era where she spares the sparklings then she’d probably just feed them and that’s it. Like nothing else.

“Hm. Take this cube, young one.” She said, then walking away from the sparkling who had a confused face.

-other than that they’re dead. She’s eating them for dinner.

Transformer Prime Theory: The Optics

It’s interesting how, in TFP, the characters all have a variety of optics sizes and shapes, instead of everyone having plain solid colours like in G1 and most other continuities. And I personally believe there is some more biological reasons why some of these optics look the way they are (some big, some small, some solid colours and others not, and some having rings and others not).

TW: starvation mention.

THEORY #1:

The size of the optics is determined by how well fed and healthy the transformer is.

Firstly, we can see that most Transformers with big optics are Decepticons, who we always know have more Energon mines and supplies than the Autobots.

Secondly. Megatron has a big optic that take over the entire frame, and he is totally someone who would have a feast himself first before feeding his subjects. On the contrary Optimus have one of the smallest optic in the show, probably because, unlike Megatron, he would only eat himself when he knows his subjects are well fed. (Poor Optimus)

Thirdly, Breakdown and Bulkhead also have some of the biggest optics in their teams. Breakdown is one of the few in the show whose optics are complete solid colors, and, although Bulkhead’s optics are not solid colours, or completely take over the frame, they are still much bigger than most other Autobots. This is probably because they are both the muscles of the team so they must have been fed more so that they can be stronger and fight better. (Cliffjumper might have been one, too, because he also got a huge optic, but we never hang around him enough to know for sure)

Fourthly: Bumblebee also got big optics, probably because he is the youngest Autobot, and is probably still growing in a way, so everyone would want to make sure he got enough nutrients to grow up big and healthy.

Fifthly: I think this is the best proof of all. So throughout the show Starscream’s optics are always quite big and round (though it is not always obvious in bright lightings).

However, in the Orion Episode, while Starscream was sneaking into the Nemisis to steal energons, his optics suddenly fill the whole frame

(“Orion Pax Part One”, Season 2, Episode 2)

This is likely because, since Starscream had gone rogue at this point, and we know that in “Rock Bottom” (Season One Episode 19) Starscream has been hiding energons for himself, perhaps Starscream hasn’t yet learned how to manage supplies sustainably on his own, and quickly drained his resources that he’s hide for himself before. Thus, more energons in the eyes. That’s probably also why he has taken the risk to go back to the Nemisis to steal Energon cause he was out of it already. He was living feast or famine at this point.

Now, there are some bugs in this theory, such as why Knockout have such a small pupil despite not having any reasons to starve. However, knowing Knockout and his obsession with his appearance, I believe he would totally put himself on a diet to look even more fabulous. I don’t think Transformers can really gain weight from Energons, though, at least not in the way we think, but Knockout could also just love the look of a small optic and think it fits his beauty, so he starved himself to achieve that.

One question you might have for the theory, “But it has been going around that Ratchet starve himself to save the supplies for the others, but his optics are big?” Now. Ratchet, I believe, is a different situation, which leaves us to theory #2.

THEORY #2:

The ring around the optic signify how intensely the optic was used.

Firstly, like mentioned above, Ratchet have a special optic: his centeral pupil itself is pretty small, similiar size with Optimus’s, but it got a big ring around it, making it look big. Now I think the ring have nothing to do with how well fed the Transformer is, like the theory above, it is there to supply more Energon to the function of the optic, and making it sharper basically. Knockout also have one, probably for the same reason as Ratchet.

Secondly: Bumblebee also have one. Understandable. He is the scout, he need to look afar a lot.

Thirdly: if you look closely you can see that Optimus got these colorless, metal ring around his optic, too, which no one else have, but it doesn’t have Energon in them. This is probably because he probably used to have them, as Orion Pax, who was an archives working in front of computers all the time. But over the years of not using it in the same way as much as the Prime, Energons left the ring and left the area, leaving the empty ring behind.

Now, there goes my theories and how I think the optics works, kind of. There is still a lot that I am still working on and might make another post off in the future, such as why some of them had a white ring/circle in their optics (I don’t think white rings work the same as blue rings, cause Bulkhead have a white ring but he doesn’t have any reasons to need good vision more than others.) and why their optics are different colors.

Retirement Home AU<3

Autobots

Optimus

that one grandpa who has a concerning amount of grandchildren visiting him

wakes up randomly during the night to tell staff members about his 27947293th battle with megatron

tries to keep the peace (and never succeeds), lectures all the other patients when they fight

*stares off into space* i have a vision..

Ratchet

either a random guy, or the head of staff

everything is perfectly organized in his room, if anyone moves his stuff he throws his cane at them

always complaining about his sore joints, has full conversations with himself on the daily

will throw a fit if someone else reads the newspaper before he does

Bumblebee

the grandson that visits every week

befriended some of the other patients, has to suffer through hours of "back when I was your age..."

seems like the sweetest angel, but actually helps smuggle prohibited things into the home

the flamethrower wasn't his idea

Arcee

that one great aunt your parents told you not to talk to

has poisoned megatron's food on several occasions, doesn't plan on stopping either

probably that one patient who talks in a foreign language but refuses to translate it for anyone else

knows how to make anything in the retirement home into a weapon

Smokescreen

the staff member that is way too cheery

probably ends up causing serious injury to a patient by accident

tries to make sure everyone has their medicine and is getting along, but ends up causing chaos instead

^_^ everyone please stop fighting!! *stands perfectly still in the midst of everyone throwing objects at each other*

Decepticons

Megatron

pissy old grandpa (what did you expect?)

*aggressively plays chess against his arch nemesis* *throws the board when he loses*

constantly mumbles about how he had more respect back in the old days, and how he would blast everyone to bits if he could

prune juice and nap time guy™️

Starscream

supreme ruler of the retirement home (self diagnosed)

falls down the stairs at least once a week after he tries to run away from the staff <- has committed felonies

sells his meds to the other patients, not sure how he hasn't been found out yet

tries to be cool and fails

Soundwave

he exists. that's basically it

unnerving patient who will follow you around without saying anything and simply stares at any visitors

has escaped the retirement home at least twice, has a horde of items he stole from other patients under his bed

gossips with his roommate (megatron)

Knockout

old person who is far too confident and charming for his age

*tries to be smooth and flirty but ends up falling and needs 3 nurses to help him up*

routinely smuggles alcohol into the building, no one knows where he gets it from

tried to bribe the staff to give him extra pillows

Hello! I like to ask/request, if you have time, could you do the TFP Decepticons and Autobots, of your choice, and with human Reader? Romantic/Platonic

Reader adopts twin sparklings or cybertronian babies, Girl and Boy Twins, and Reader doesn't know what species/race/alien the twins are, yet Reader's raising and loving the twins as their own. Same with the twins and their kinda Mama's kids (?), they're very attached, love, and also very protective of their human parent…

Then One day, they meet them, the Autobots/Decepticons, and that bot/con kinda like or act as parent figure, being co-parent to their adopted sparklings, and also having feelings for the Human reader.

Gn human reader with sparklings encountering TFP autobots/decepticons (pt1?)

Grrr tysm anon for the request, I had a lot of fun with this! I was gonna do hcs with several characters but I got carried away with a Bumblebee scenario- so um yeah here's that. I plan on doing a follow-up at some point with more characters (hcs) for this but I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer! Hope that's okay :))

Bumblebee-

You were out looking for more of the blue substance your twins fed on. It had been a couple days since you ran out, and the twins were getting restless. The girl, which you had named Goldrush, started gnawing on her brother, Darkage. Darkage didn't take to kindly to that, swatting her off of him with a surprised squeak.

You sigh. "What am I gonna do with you two?" You chuckled, waving the twins back over, not wanting them to wander off as they bickered. As you walked off the road and towards a cave that you hoped would have some more, you heard an explosion.

The ground shook, nearly knocking you off of your feet, before you saw a yellow car, followed by 3 purple cars, racing towards you at an incredible speed. With a yelp, you dive out of the way, the twins landing next to you in a pile. "You okay?" You ask, worridly turning to the twins. They nod, with Goldrush looking slightly agitated at Darkage for landing on her.

A dark shadow looms over you as you look up to see one of the purple cars, now having transformed into a tall bot, reaching down to grab you. With a frightened screech, you duck out of the way. The twins rush in front of you, standing only a few feet taller than you are, growling and snarling at the purple mech.

Before it has time to react, a yellow bot slams it in the side of its head, sending it flying out of your view. The yellow bot looks down, noticing you and the twins, and starts beeping as what you could only describe as confused.

You hesitate, not sure if it- he?- is hostile or not. He looks an awful lot like whatever your twins are, but way bigger. You figure he's probably a completely developed version of whatever species Darkage and Goldrush are. He reaches out to you, seemingly offering a hand to help you up. The twins growl at him nervously, waiting for you to make a move.

Unsure of the situation but not wanting to make the twins more anxious, you accept the yellow bot's hand.Once you're standing on your own two feet again, the twins calm down. The yellow bot transforms back into a car, opening the door as an invitation for you to get in. You figure that if he's the same species as Darkage and Goldrush, he'll probably have some of that blue junk you need. You shrug at the twins and get in the car as they latch onto the roof.

A short while later, you end up driving inside of a mountain in the middle of who knows where. "So, uh, where are we, anyways?" You ask, not really expecting a coherent answer from the bot that speaks in beeps. As expected, he beeps a few times before stopping inside of some giant base. He lets you out of the car, and the twins jump off as he transforms again.

"Bumblebee! You're back!" You hear a kid shout excitedly, before seeing a short boy run over. The boy quickly takes notice of you, as does a large white and orange mech. "Bumblebee, you brought another human here?!" They shout in unison. The mech sounding displeased- while the boy sounds thrilled.

"Uh. Hi?" You say nervously, glancing behind the boy to the large, and clearly annoyed, mech. "I-" The white bot pauses, looking behind you to the twins. "Are those... sparklings...?" He questions, looking at you with bewilderment and suspicion. The yellow bot, who you assume is named Bumblebee, now turns to look at you, as if he just realized the twins were there.

"I guess? I don't know." You shrug nonchalantly. "So... are you gonna introduce yourselves or just stare at me?" You questioned teasingly.

"The name's Ratchet, but-" Ratchet gets cut off by the young boy, who eagerly introduces himself. "I'm Rafael! You can just call me Raf- as you probably figured out by now, he's Bumblebee." Raf gestures behind him.

You smile brightly at him. "I'm (y/n), and these two are Darkage and Goldrush." You say, gently grabbing one of each of their hands and leading them closer. Ratchet tries to speak again, but Bumblebee cuts him off with more beeps. "Oh, Bee wants to know if they need energon," Raf tells you, looking at the twins.

"Energon?" You question.

"Yeah, the blue stuff that cybertronians eat." He replies.

"Blue stuff... OH! Yeah, we've been looking for some for a while now. They could really use it." You say, happy to know that you'll be able to feed the twins soon. "By the way, how can you understand Bumblebee?" You look at Raf quizzically. Raf explains to you how Bee communicates through noises while Bumblebee runs off to get some energon for your sparklings.

At this point, Ratchet has given up on trying to talk to you, and is now inspecting the twins for any injuries. Soon, Bumblebee runs back in with an energon cube in each hand. He kneels to the twins' level, and carefully hands one to each of them. Beeping sweetly, he coos at them, before noticing you and the others staring at him. Looking embarrassed, he turns to you and starts rambling about how cute they are.

With Raf's help, you're able to understand him, and the two of you start getting along remarkably well. He goes out of his way to spend time with you and the twins after missions, and he tries to teach the three of you some combat skills, to varying degrees of success.

The twins cling to Bee like glue whenever he's around, riding on his back or grabbing onto his legs, while Bee lets you rest on his shoulder. In Bumblebee's free time, he teaches you and the twins about Cybertron before the war.

As Darkage and Goldrush get older, bigger, and stronger, you and Bee are able to properly train them. With the twins starting to go on missions, Bee takes you out with him so you can supervise your sparklings.

To the cons' surprise and dismay, you and Bee make an incredible power couple/duo on the battlefield, in spite of your small size. The two of you are inseparable, and with your newfound family, you're just about ready to take on anything.

Quickshadow does not like Blades.

It's usually small, annoying things: he gives her stupid, paranoid looks, he complains about her asking reasonable questions, he follows her around, and worst, he's taken to perching on Heatwave's shoulders to do all three of those things, just slightly more off the ground.

But this.

Heatwave grabs a chip and throws it at Blades' face, but the helicopter leans out of the way smoothly, the smug grin not leaving his face.

"You must be cheating," Quickshadow accuses, seething behind her cards. Blades' grin gets bigger.

"That's the worst part," Heatwave laments, slamming his head into the table, making his pitiful stack of chips shake. "He's not."

"I couldn't, even if I wanted to," Blades practically purrs, fanning himself with his cards, and Quickshadow wishes she still had her inset guns. "Chase is dealing. Nothing gets past him."

"Believe me, we've tried," Heatwave mumbles, face still smushed to the table. He ever so slightly turns his head towards her and flicks over one of Quickshadow's neatly stacked chips. "Quit while you're still ahead, Shad."

Oh, but she can't. Quickshadow has played cards against some of Cybertron's most corrupt- games of chance and skill- and she's won. But Blades. He's become totally different, melting into a personality she'd only seen snatches of between his bouts of anxiety.

"Who do you have to play against to get this good?" she asks aloud, and Blades expression drops from smug to somewhere between fondness and grief, but he doesn't answer.

She's about to ask more directly when Boulder reenters, brandishing bottles of high grade. "Heatwave, Blades, Quickshadow," they mumble as they pass them out, before dropping the rest to the floor. "Chase?" they ask, but the police bot shakes his head no.

"I cannot deal properly if I am inebriated," he says, and Heatwave parrots him mockingly under his breath, then swallows half his bottle in one swig.

"Alright!" Heatwave pushes his little stack of chips forward with one servo. "All in."

Blades' fanged smile grows wide once more.

Some Raph and Ratchet headcanons (plus basically canon stuff):

they are so special to me

grandpa and grandson vibes

ratchet is glad to have an intelligent young human on the team, but also grows to enjoy raph's company in general

raph loves helping out the team, and gets really happy whenever ratchet specifically tells him he did a good job

ratchet enjoys raph's presence the most, because miko tends to be too loud and all over the place for his liking. jack is more bearable but he doesn't really like to sit in one place for a long time

which leaves raph, raph will sit by ratchet in comfortable silence and is careful making sure he doesn't knock over or break anything

sometimes they'll chat for a bit, but most of the time raph will be on his computer doing his own thing while ratchet does his

they both are very similar, but grow even more similar throughout the seasons

for example, raph begins saying things like "I needed that!" and takes on some of ratchet's mannerisms

(miko's like "oh great we got a mini ratchet now" and ratchet's just in the corner trying not to smile)

raph would totally have those mannerisms at home too (his family wonders where he got the phrase "I needed that!" and the little "hmph" from but don't say anything.)

he stands up for himself more, and things like that

"ratchet can you help me with this science proj-" *cue flashbacks to that one episode* "uhh you know what, nevermind!"

ratchet is very proud of his smart little human friend

overall they are the "grumpy man adopts child" duo and i love them

Anyone else love the idea of unrequited love MegOp? Bonus points if Megatron practically becomes a yandere? (Specifically TFP for me because I’m obsessed with that show :3).

Optimus being able to move on and be at peace but Megatron can’t. He won’t move on. Instead he drives himself further, deeper into his obsession. Even though deep down he knows how different things are now, a big part of him still sees Optimus as little Orion Pax. His Orion Pax. He decides that he’ll do whatever he can to get Optimus back. If he won’t love him back, submission works just fine. No matter what Optimus and his Autobots may try, he’ll find a way to get him back.

And if he can’t have Optimus?

No one can.

their favorite parts of humanity . . (autobots)

optimus loves the way humans can work together, the beauty in how groups of strangers can all be united under causes that they are passionate about.

although ratchet doesn't feel the most positively towards some aspects of humanity, he does admire their compassion and willingness to help others, even at the risk of their own lives.

if bumblebee had to choose a favorite part, he would probably say entertainment. he likes how humans can make almost anything exciting, and he also loves the scenery on long drives.

above all, bulkhead loves the friends and family he's made along the way. other than that, he has a big appreciation for media and music (mostly due to miko sharing it with him)

arcee, like optimus, admires the teamwork and bravery she's witnessed in humans. she finds it admirable how accepting humans are, even to bots like them.

you might have guessed this, but smokescreen's favorite aspects of Earth life and humanity is all the action & excitement that humans seem to enjoy. (he even learned what "cancel culture" was /hj)

i think it would be hard for wheeljack to pick a favorite part of humanity. he enjoys their determination, and he also likes some of human's inventions- even if cybertron is much more advanced.

twins grooming each other!!! that's adorable. Since they're twins and both take a similar load on the battlefield, they would probably usually shed armour at the same time... they trust one another the most, there is no one else in the world who could possibly help them out better than each other...

When they shed their armour, they're their most vulnerable, and the door is locked tight and the shower is running for hours as they carefully scrub places they normally wouldn't reach...

Shattered Glass Knock Out Headcanons

These are my personal interpretations of how Knock Out would be in the alternative Transformers universe. I’ve seen a lot of interpretations of him and I’ve also thought about it a lot, so here is an extremely self-indulgent list of purely Transformers brainrot. I just had to put this somewhere before he took over my brain.

APPEARANCE

A blue-green paint coat (the color of hospital scrubs) as the primary color. White markings, or maybe silver for a little contrast.

Bright blue optics.

The elf ears stay.

PERSONALITY

A lot of headcanons portray him as callous when it comes to his appearance, which is great! But allow me to offer: SG!Knock Out who still cares about how he looks, but for completely different reasons.

He doesn't mind being covered in scratches, marks, dents, or the like. He only hates it because it's unhygienic and thus unsuitable for a doctor's office/surgical ward.

He also thinks having a clean appearance gives off a more professional and comforting impression to his patients.

Sometimes, on bad days, it can get a bit...obsessive.

"Um, doc, didn't you already clean-" / "I HAVE TO MAKE SURE BREAKDOWN I HAVE TO MAKE SURE!!!!"

Sometimes it's funny.

"My liege, you know how I respect you, but I swear if you set a pede into this ward without disinfecting your servos at least-"

RELATIONSHIPS

Breakdown: His partner and most trusted confidante in every universe<3 Knock Out tends to worry too much about his health, and insists on a check-up after every battle. Breakdown indulges him, but also makes sure to soothe his worries.

Starscream: My idea of SG!Starscream is that he always downplays how bad his injuries actually are, leading to Knock Out running after him (or, better yet, sending Breakdown to drag him to the medical ward). I like to think they exchange the same playful quips, but with a more somber undertone, because anytime Starscream actually allows himself to stay put in the medical ward means he's been severely injured.

Megatron: Knock Out takes his duty as the leader's official physician way too seriously. He has everything organized: Megatron's daily routine, optimal energon intake, regular check-up appointments. Megatron doesn't really need all that, but he humors him because he knows this is Knock Out's way of dealing with the guilt when he can't save a patient.

OTHER DETAILS

Speaking of guilt - Knock Out is really bad at not blaming himself. When vehicons are offlined and he's forced to disassemble them, he will later still remember where each piece came from, even if it's been attached to another bot.

I like to think this version of KO still likes the art of disassembly, but less out of a delighted, morbid curiosity and more out of a desire to learn more about Cybertronian anatomy.

He still street races with humans, but again, for entirely different reasons: he's fascinated by them, and has since picked up an e-book on human anatomy. And when he street races them, he always plays fair, and takes quite a great offense if another participant doesn't follow the rules. Allow me to demonstrate.

Racer: [keys Knock Out's side door]

KO, swerving to face him: Excuse me, are you out of your mind? Why would you ever ruin the joy of a good race with this childish behavior? And I have patients, you know! What would they think of their own doctor if they saw him in such unseemly fashion?

Racer: Wh-

KO, full on ranting: And I barely squeezed this race in between my busy schedule! Now I have to go back to base, disinfect the scratch, get buffed, all in time to prepare my office for the next line of patients! Do you have any idea how demanding it is to be a doctor on a warship? Always on call! I had this one hour to myself-

[It is at this point that Breakdown shows up to calm his favorite doctor. They end up just racing together<3 ]

And that's basically all I can think of, for now. My version of SG!KO because I know I'll never write this. Feel free to add more in the tags or whatever you like :)
