Okay, first of all, sorry to bring up the topic in 2022 but it full on makes me laugh my ass off that Kubo must’ve seen Naruto being an absent father and the birth scandal and Naruto’s son doing the same stuff Naruto did for attention and, even with how quickly Kubo had to wrap stuff up, made absolutely sure to include that Ichigo is a STAY-AT-HOME dad who works from home and then have Renji behaving like an absolute malewife while Rukia is a leader in her community and Orihime looks like a total girlboss. Reminds me of the WOTHH wife!

Also Ichigo and Rukia argue over each other’s parenting skills in the epilogue. Ichigo is a more attentive and careful parent while Rukia is kinda carefree (she lets the gay fighting uncles teach her daughter to protect herself so she knows she can handle herself) but is very loving and always bragging about Ichika all the same and it makes Ichigo mad that she doesn’t know where her kid is at that exact moment while Orihime’s Soten Kisshu is keeping tabs on Kazui and his safety at that same moment. Immensely funny dynamics we got here!

Oh, and Ichigo’s friends come over and hang out and it’s actually believable that they are still friends! Seriously! Did I mention the kids are perfect mixes of each parent? Like they actually look like they could be the kids of their parent and there wouldn’t be any doubt who the mother or father is? No question!

Plus everyone is gathered to watch Chad’s Boxing match. The guy is famous and gotten so handsome! And we get a little hint of some Chadishi with Uryuu softly smiling from his work while looking at his phone during his break. This sweet man who loves to help people and would’ve probably been happy with Orihime’s powers in another life is doing that for work. Blessed. We really, really could’ve gotten the bare minimum here but it was refreshing to see not all is lost in a timeskip to adulthood like so.
