I was thinking at warden Alistair and the huge survivor guilt he may build up if Hawke is left in the Fade instead. Like, he already gave full command to a rookie back in the day, was taken advantage as a pawn when a ruler had to be chosen for Fereleden, he then failed to convince the wardens to act wisely rather than throwing themselves in the hands of a complete tool of a man. I think he'd feel like, worthless knowing that someone chose him over another person for just, another decision he couldn't make for himself - which is unfair considering that 1) he gave full command to a person that was more fit for the job 2) he was ready to sacrifice his wellbeing for the good of many 3) he was alone against a fucking army. And they were desperate to the point of sacrificing their own brothers for a suicide mission. A worthless one, to add insult to injury. Try to reason with that, alone, without backups.

The guy needs a vacation, really, and also a huge pat in the back because he's actually putting an effort rather than sitting in a corner crying about his bad luck. I mean, he would do that, but the next day he'll be standing and make a self deprecating joke about it as he pushes through.

i clearly love and support slower paced, grounded films with thematic intrigue and artistic merit like big fan of all that but the things that gets me so excited about dune is that it combines the spectacle and ambition of the 'low brow' franchises with the depth and artsisty of so called 'high brow' cinema you can literally have both!!!.and it can make money!! you can entertain the masses and also challenge their philosophy you can put the biggest movie stars in the weirdest sci-fi you can spend the insane studio budget on niche 'genre' fiction that's something you can actually do??? there's no excuses. is it the most emotionally effective film out recently like idk but it's everything to me that these films exist cos that's what cinema is about!!! I will always respect creative ambition over consistency or technical perfection

Something I just noticed on my 15th season 5 rewatch

In 5x18, when Tim comes up to Lucy’s interview. In his cop voice he’s all “interview over, I need Chen.” And then IMMEDIATELY his voice gets all soft and he goes “hey” to her

The cheek… the nerve… the gall… the audacity, and the gumption of that man to deny he is a big softy (for Lucy) 😅 This part always makes me cackle (that and when they want Tim to read Jake's text messages). His timing though - Lucy was getting so uncomfortable with the line of questioning right before Tim interrupted them. I wonder if he saw it and went extra gruff on the director for that reason (not that he needed a reason to begin with). His little 'hey' was so soft. I also love that ending scene, when he was about to throw hands, and one little touch from Lucy was all it took to calm him down. It's the way he is so protective of her and their relationship that makes me all gooey. 🥺

idk but the idea of the tweels and azul being able to always grow their teeth back amuses me (i know theyre not sharks but shut up it makes sense to me seeing how dangerous the ocean is so merpeople probs get in a lot of fights either just for fun ((see floyd)) and to survive so maybe they tend to loose a lot of teeth and are able to regrow them back shut up shut up) because imagine if floyd and jade gift you their teeth whenever it falls out because you mentioned once how pretty their teeth look, and maybe gifting something so personal from a merpersons body like scales or teeth hold extra meaning too but they dont bring it up and thats something for another time

♡Now picture Azul learning about this and also wanting in on it, but his teeth are more dull and normal looking especially in his land form. So when he finally comes up to you to gift a perfectly pristine tooth, you can't help but laugh because with how normal his teeth look and how happy and proud he is. It feels and reminds you of a little kid giving their freshly fallen tooth to their parent to give to the Tooth Fairy.

♡Azul starts to feel anxiety sink in as he watches you laugh and try to calm yourself down. Is his tooth not good enough? He's always on top of his dental hygiene, so its pearly white. Maybe it look weird? Misshapen? Is there a chip he didn't notice? Is this a rejection??? As you start to come back down you notice Azul's face is getting redder by the minute, and are quick to assure him you do love the gift. Its just that it reminded you of something back at your home universe. Nothing bad dear! You tell Azul about the Tooth Fairy and explain that after many gifts of sharp teeth, seeing a more normal looking on just threw you off and you weren't making fun of him.

♡Azul is relieved, but also slighty offended. To think him being so nice and benevolent to gift you one of his teeth, from a mer octopus no less, and you compare it to that of a kid's gift??? He scoffs at the cheek, the nerve, the audacity, and the gumption of it all. Still, he is pleased that you at least accept and love it. His curiosity gets the better of him, and he asks some more questions about this Tooth Fairy because... why would a fairy even do or even want childrens teeth for? The idea boggles his mind really. He knows some teeth are more valuable like a sharks tooth, but he can't understand what would small fragile children's teeth be used for. Honestly, you don't even understand it either, does anybody? You just know that parents like to collect their kids teeth, and came up with this story for some reason. You remember your parents doing it for a bit when you were young, and you got some money in exchange for the teeth.

♡Hold on. You got money for giving them teeth? If Azul gives you more teeth, will you give him some money too??? And to think just a moment ago he was offended to being compared to a child, and look at him now. Excited at the thought of being gifted a whole ass dollar for a tooth. You quickly shut down this weird money making scheme he's forming in his head, and tell him most of the time kids only got a single madol from it, its nothing huge. You dont know what the currency conversion rate would be for one dollar to one madol, but you don't bring that up and just assume its close enough.

♡Azul looking disappointed at this is almost enough to make you laugh again, but you resist. He is quick to recover, and go back to his professional persona you're used to seeing. He thanks you for your time, and says it was worth the mild embarrassment to be able to gift you something special and also learn more about your world before hes heading off. You are positive hes still pink in the cheeks, but think he has had enough teasing for today and let him go.

♡Azul back at the lounge retelling the story to an amused Jade, Floyd half listening on the couch. Until Azul mentions the part of getting a gift in exchange for a tooth and shoots right up. Gift???? Koebi chan has never given him a gift for any of the teeth he gave them! Floyd quickly leaves the room ignoring the rest of the story, or the fact the gift was a silly dollar and story was a childrens tale, he is a man on a mission now.

♡The next day you're rushed by Floyd early in the morning. A fresh bloody tooth is pushed into your hand, with a Floyd looking pleased and like he's expecting something. The fact the tooth has blood and is a bit.... wet? Is it from saliva? Did he just loose this tooth? Seriously, did it pop out seconds before you got there??? You question him what tf happened. Floyd may or may not have pulled a tooth out himself just to get a gift from you. He just tells you he fell down or something, whatever. It's fine! Just give him his gift already!

♡The two of you stand there staring at each other for a few minutes. How did it come to this. You are guessing that Azul shared the Tooth Fairy story to the twins. You don't think Floyd would be really happy to receive a madol, especially with how hes looking at you so you shove your hands into your coat pockets looking for something decent to give. Luckily you find some of the lollipops Sam gave you as a little extra from when you bought some snacks from his store the other day, perfect. You give him the lollipop, and thank him for tooth as you place it in your pocket. You'll have to wash this and the coat later. You pray that the blood comes out after all that time.

♡Thankfully, Floyd seems pleased with the gift. He quickly shoves it into his mouth, thanking you before running off to god knows where. Disaster avoided, you won't be getting the 'I'm now sad so I'm gonna squeeze you until I feel better' squeeze today. You hope that this isn't the start of a bad habit, and head off to class yourself.

♡Until you round a corner and spot Jade walking towards you with a certain look in his eyes. Hands holding something out for you to take. You're gonna have to start buying more lollipops for these two.
