Hae Rin thinks of the young man she knew. She also thinks about the daughter she doesn’t know. She then makes a strange request to both her first love and her husband : to live with Hee Jung for a year.
Although her request is shocking, due to her health, they accept.
Hee Jung comes to find his daughter. They are not close and both feel awkward with each other. He tells her that her birth mother is ill and that she is coming to live with him for some time. She also hopes to meet with Ye Eun.
Ye Eun is disturbed by her father’s decision. She doesn’t understand him, nor Hae Rin, and even less so Hae Rin’s husband.

enhypen as dads (act)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : enhypen x fem!reader
genre : dad!enhypen , fluff
not proofread
📎rei's notes : this is just my opinion and we will never know if I'm ever correct 🥳 I know it's weird include the younger members too but I hope you understand that this 'how they'll act' not 'how they'll be'
Tumblr media
Heeseung :
rate him 10/10
he has the father figure
It doesn't matter how many kids he has, he treats all of them equally.
he is the type of dad who would stay up late to prep his kids lunch box and leave a extra note in it that says 'I hope your day in school goes well! Don't get into any trouble!'
his kids all love him bc he picks them up from school and buys them ice cream (even though you told him to stop)
"don't tell mom I brought you guys ice cream"
... you'll find out eventually when one of them spills the tea
Jay :
rate him 10000000/10
literally the definition of dad
he treats his kids and you well. Cooking you guys dinner even when he is tired.
just note he is definitely going to dress up your kids in branded clothing only (bc he has the money)
"jay, babe, I don't think they need branded clothes at a young age"
"y/n, shh. This is fashion"
every saturday, he would bring his kids out to have a father and child(ren) bonding day while you rest at home.
he would tuck his kids in bed and make sure to leave them a goodnight kiss.
Jake :
rate him 9.5/10
that 0.5 is him, losing his brain cells whenever he brings his kids to his dance rehearsal.
"NAURRR! LEO! COME BACK HERE!"
* chases after your 3 y/o son *
he would be super duper adorable if you guys have a daughter. especially if she's only 1 y/o.
he is going to dress her up in those cute outfits and take many many pictures. (*whispers* he has a dedicated folder for his kids)
Sunghoon :
rate him 8/10
a menace to society...he tries to be a good dad
BUT THEN
he likes to annoy the hell out of your kids
your son doesn't like him very much bc sunghoon likes to prank him a lot.
"Jun, your mom loves me more than you"
* cues your son cries *
"PARK SUNGHOON! YOU BETTER SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" *smacks hoon's head*
RIP /jokes
Sunoo :
rate him 9/10
probably the calmest among the rest BUT
he would probably get nervous whenever your child cries
"Why are you crying!?!?"
* your child cries louder *
"please don't cry, I'll give you my wallet" 😓
Jungwon :
rate him 10/10
I mean he is the ✨LEADER✨
your kids flavor him more than you
why?
he buys them whatever they want...and maybe bc he has the most adorable face that makes your kids melt.
"he won't stop crying", you handed your son to jungwon. Your son immediately stops crying.
you looked at him like 👁️👄👁️
"what the hell, yang jungwon..."
"It's the face y/n"
"are you calling me ugly then?"
*panics* "N-NO! WHAT! BABE!"
Niki :
rate him 8/10
as much as I love him...he is the real menace to society
your kids always complain about their dad not being fair
"Riki, what did you do?"
"*gaps* Y/N! WHAT HAVE THOSE DEVILS DONE TO YOU"
you face palmed yourself. Niki tries to hide the candy behind him.
"Riki, just give them back their candy"
Niki pouts and throws a tantrum. You blinked blankly at him.
Your child enters the room and yeets a pillow right on his head.
"SEE I TOLD YOU!! THEY ARE DEVILS!!"

5 Amazing K-drama’s you might not have seen (kdrama recommendations)
These are all from the past few years and are all relatively recent.
#1: Flower Of Evil
Tumblr media
Flower of Evil: 2020, 16 episodes
crime, romance
main leads: Lee Joon Gi & Moon Chae Won
summary: Although Baek Hee Sung is hiding a dark secret surrounding his true identity, he has established a happy family life and a successful career. He is a loving husband and doting father to his young daughter. But his perfect façade begins to crumble when his wife, Cha Ji Won, a homicide detective, begins investigating a string of serial murders from 15 years ago. Ji Won notices changes in Hee Sung’s behavior and begins to wonder if he could possibly be hiding something from her
Why i love it: I’ve been watching K-dramas for years and this drama is probably my favorite that I’ve ever seen. From the acting to the cinematography to the amazing plot twists. A female lead that isn’t annoying and dumb, a plot that isn’t unnecessarily dragged out and side characters as fleshed out and interesting as the main characters. Anyone with an interest in crime or action dramas has to have seen this masterpiece.
#2: Her Private Life
Tumblr media
Her Private Life: 2019, 16 episodes
office romance, comedy
main leads: Park Min Young & Kim Jae Wook
summary:  A dedicated professional, Sung Deok Mi lives for her work as an art gallery curator. Devoting herself to her work, she is exceptional in every way, save one. Beneath that cool, professional facade, Deok Mi carries a dark secret. A secret she desperately wants to keep from the world. A secret that has driven lovers away. A secret that rules every moment of her personal life...
Sung Deok Mi is the ultimate Cha Shi An fangirl. The devoted manager of a Shi An fansite, Deok Mi eats, breathes, and sleeps for Shi An. He is her sun, her moon. Her entire universe revolves around him. This is the secret Deok Mi must hide from the world. And hide it she does. At least until Ryan Gold, the art gallery’s new director, saunters into her life. A once famous painter, the former artist turned director considers himself an indifferent being, unconcerned with the lives of others. But when he uncovers Deok Mi’s secret, everything changes.
Why i love it: I HATE love triangles with a burning passion and haven’t seen popular dramas like ‘Love Alarm’ or ‘True Beauty’ purely because I feel like the love triangle is going to drive me insane. But ‘Her private life’ did the impossible and not only managed to make me still love the show despite the love triangle. But they also showed me how, if done right, a love triangle can be really fun! I genuinely like all the characters in this and I love how mature they go about the dynamics between the characters. And seeing a plot where the female lead is a fangirl and it’s not portrayed in a way that I feel like is offensive, makes the little fangirl inside of me really happy. All around this is a cute drama with just the right amount of angst. Every fangirl deserves a partner like Ryan Gold.
#3: Ghost doctor
Tumblr media
Ghost doctor: 2022, 16 episodes
medical, fantasy, comedy
main leads: Jung Ji Hoon (Rain) & Kim Bum
summary: Cha Young Min is a genius doctor, with excelling skills at surgery, but he is arrogant and selfish. One day, he gets involved in an accident and due to this, his spirit possesses another doctor's body, Seung Tak. These two doctors are complete opposites, with opposite personalities and medical abilities.
Young Min is arrogant and cold-blooded, only cares about his career and doesn't care about any of his patient's personal stories. Seung Tak is the luckiest and richest resident doctor whose grandfather is the founder of Myung-shin hospital and whose mother is the chairman of the hospital. Never wanting to be a good doctor, he becomes possessed by a ghost doctor.
Why I love it: I’ve always liked both Rain and Kim Bum as actors and I closely followed all their projects. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered they were going to do a drama together. I mostly just love the concept of this drama. It pulls off the buddy comedy and fantasy elements perfectly. And even the emotional heartfelt moments and plot twists hit home the way they should. At the core of this story is the bromance between Rain and Kim Bum and I think the drama does a good job at making sure that the love-plotline doesn’t steal the attention away from it. All around, it’s a cute and funny drama that I have rewatched a few times and enjoyed every time.
#4: Under the Queen’s Umbrella
Tumblr media
Under the Queen’s Umbrella: 2022, 16 episodes
historical, comedy, political
main lead: Im Hwa Ryung
summary: Within the palace exist troublemaking princes who cause nothing but headaches for the royal family and are about to be turned into proper crown princes. Their mother, Im Hwa Ryeong, is the wife of a great king. But instead of having an aura of elegance and grace, she is a prickly, sensitive, and hot-tempered queen. Once more serene, she changed since people kept pushing her buttons. She is a queen who sometimes abandons her pride and is even known to swear! Every day of her life is full of trials, but she withstands them all, for the sake of her children.
Why I love it: This is one of those dramas that I find difficult to describe. I intially scrolled past this on Netflix every time because the summary just didn’t appeal to me even though I love historical dramas. But then I saw someone on twitter talk about how underrated the show was and I decided to check it out. OMG, I can’t tell you happy I am that this person tweeted about it. The relationship between the queen and all her son’s and the way she steps up for them is just so *chef’s kiss*. Acting, cinematography, plot, this drama isn’t missing anything in my book.
#5: Weak Hero class 1
Tumblr media
Weak Hero Class 1: 2022, 8 episodes
Action, school
main lead: Park Ji Hoon & Choi Hyun Wook & Hong Kyung
summary: Yeon Shi Eun is a model student who ranks at the top of his high school. Physically, Yeon Shi Eun appears weak, but by using his wits and psychology, he fights against the violence that takes place inside and outside of his school.
Why I love it: I’m not a very emotional person and don’t cry easily at things. But when I tell you that this drama BROKE ME. Omg, my sister and I were in shock for like three days after watching it. This drama is based on a webtoon and the show was so memorable that for the first time in my life I started reading a webtoon. This show centers around the friendship of the three main leads and how they deal with bullies, gangs and abuse. It’s been months since I first saw it and it’s still often on my mind. Definitelly recommended but maybe not to the faint of heart lol.

Hoon’s older brother theories eh?
*cracks knuckles*
Tumblr media
So Hoon was a figure skater. (How much for the other characters know about Hoon’s figure skating days? Like Do they know my beloved Snow Queen was his partner? Do they know she can skate? Anyways—) Family probably had money. Maybe not a ton of money, but enough to be comfortable. Maybe appearances are EVERYTHING to Daddy Park. He wants to be high up on the social ladder than he is. Business stuff probably. He’s just rich enough to NOT really be truly wealthy, but if he has two stand out sons. Say… one genius and one Olympic athlete?
That is bankable social currency.
Older Brother Park (Park Chadwick or some other pretentious name) is super good looking (bonus points if he appears and hits on Snowflake or if Snowflake calls him hot) but is also a prodigy. Music maybe? Or Math? Medicine? Something where he can be obnoxiously exploited at a young age by his social climbing parents.
Chad is internationally known. Currently (un)happily engaged to a pleasant but vacant daughter of Korea’s 100 Most Influential because he and his brother were both raised addicted to Daddy’s favor and even if his actual heart may or may not be with a beautiful young teacher he met while volunteering for appearance sake at a local Elementary School career fair, he is still marching to the Park family drum.
He and Hoon are cold but cordial. Sometimes passive aggressive. Occasionally outright aggressive. Hoon is tired of hearing how disappointing he is compared to Chadwick. His parents tend to spend most of their time when they talk to Hoon telling him how well Chadwick is following their 678 step plan for his life.
It’s a sore spot because Hoon looked up to his brother and loved him and he feels like he’s lost so many of the relationships from his childhood that were truly important too him.
Chad is secretly jealous of Hoon because he sees him as having broken free. Hoon maybe finds out that his older brother hot for teacher and tells him to go for it—their father’s approval isn’t worth losing real love and the chance at a real family.
Chad is a secret HardCore Hoon/Yn shipper. Does flirt with YN if he sees her but with the sole intent of pushing his brother’s buttons.
Deep down the brother’s love each other but there has definitely been damage and distance in the last decade or so and it’s mostly Papi Hoon’s fault…
But yeah I haven’t thought about it that much…
Sike I love making up random backstories and sorry about naming him Chadwick, it just popped into my head 😅
(Alternatively his brother could be Park Jimin [BTS] with all the same backstory just like an internationally renowned dancer…)
Sorry l’ll stop
Tumblr media
AAAAH I LOVE THIS THEORY!!!!! ngl it's actually quite close to what's actually happened between the brothers BUT i dont wanna spoil anything yet since it'll have a bit to do with later plots so i gotta thank you very much for this and the good laugh i got out of this bc you called him chadwick 😭😭😭🤍 i love you sm

Enchanted to meet you
A Park Sunghoon fic.
Warnings: Female reader, terminal illness, mentioned impending major character death, might be a little sad at the beginning, mostly will be fluff
Not proofread!
A/N: If you couldn’t tell by now, I mainly write based on music, and mainly based on Taylor swifts music bc why not. So in honor of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), here is a new Sunghoon fic based on Enchanted. Also I so totally planning on making an angsty part two of this based on Dear John (maybe it’ll be from Hoon’s pov) (also I’m not really good at angst but I can try)
Word Count: 1,180
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am awoken by a knock at my door. It is my father. He opens it with sad eyes. “Hello darling”, he says, “I’ve brought you breakfast”. “Thank you father, but I have no appetite”, I say weakly and give him a tired look. I watch as he sets the tray of porridge on my bedside table and backs out of the room with tears brimming his eyes.
It pains me to know how much this hurts him. To think how he has such a limited time left with his only daughter. My mother died during my delivery. It pains me to know that not only has my father lost the love of his life because of me, but he will also lose the only resemblance of her he has in his life.
I close my eyes and let out a deep breath as my head begins to ache. Though this time is not as bad as most. You see, when I was 14, the doctors discovered a tumor in my brain. As time passed, these headaches have been getting worse and worse. Most days they are unbearable, as if someone is constantly banging into my skull with a hammer. But today, I smile softly as it is simply no more than a dull ache. I know that I don’t have much longer, I know, my father knows. I’m honestly luck to have made it this far. Especially without the proper treatment. I think my father blames himself for this somehow. I thinks he blames himself for not bringing in enough money for me to receive proper care. But it’s not his fault, and I tell him that constantly.
I jump when I hear the door open again. “I’m sorry, my love”, my father says quietly, he must have sensed the headache by the look on my face. “It’s okay father.”, I say and smile weakly. He sits at the foot of my bed and says, “I have a surprise for you my dear.” I look at him expectantly as he stands again. He walks out of the room and comes back with the most beautiful gown I’ve seen in my lifetime. I gasp and stare at him with wide eyes. “Father, how did you afford this”, I ask astonished. “My darling I did not buy it. I’ve made it for you by hand.”, he says. I feel tears begin to pool as I slowly rose from my bed and wrap my arms around him.
“Come now,” he says as he wipes away his tears and leads me to the dressing room, “this is not the only part of this gift darling.” I give him a confused look. “What do you mean father?”, I ask. “I made this gown for you so that you could attend the princes ball tonight.”, he says and I stare at him wide-eyed. Attending a hall has always been my dream. “Thank you so much father”, I say as I begin to cry again. He gently embraces me once more and wipes my tears. “Nome of that now, you must get ready. The ball does start in 2 hours.”, he says and I gasp as I scramble to get dressed, pushing him out of the room as I do so.
I marvel at the gown once I have it on. It is truly the most beautiful piece of attire I have ever seen. I had no idea father could do handiwork like this. I turn to myself in the mirror. I had no idea I could look this beautiful.
As I arrive at the palace, I am nervous. I’ve never been this nervous before. I’m not sure why though, most girls walk into the princes ball looking for marriage, whether it be from the prince himself or from some other royal family. But for me, this is simply my dying wish. I walk through the entrance and to the top of the stairs that lead to the ballroom, heels clicking with each step. I stare at the large room, all filled with people. Women in some of the most beautiful gowns, men in their most dashing suits. I sigh as I feel the dull ache start to creep its way back into my head.
I put on a smile and walk down the steps. I hear the room go quiet save for the gentle music playing, and many sets of eyes are turned towards me. I blush slightly, not used to all the attention and continue to make my way downstairs and across the room.
Eventually, people return to dancing and chatting as they were, and I remain in my place at one of the tables. I stare down at the small plate of sweets I had picked for myself and think about just how happy I am. And how bittersweet this feeling is after all. After 18 long years I’m finally living my one true dream. And it’s all because I’m dying. I’m snapped out of my haze when I hear a someone clear their through with a tap on my shoulder.
I slowly turn to meet eyes with the person and it’s like the world has stopped. Suddenly, I no longer hear the music and chatter of the ballroom. The dull ache in my head starts to fizzle away and Is replaced by silence. I am absolutely enchanted by this man and by the looks of it, he is just as enchanted by me. He takes my hand with a smile and gives me a slight bow. “Prince Park Sunghoon, it is a pleasure to meet you milady.”, he says. “Y/N L/N”, I reply, “It is a pleasure to meet you as well.” He leans down and places a soft kiss the the top of my hand and a small blush makes its way over my face. “May I have this dance?”, he asks and extends his hand in my direction. I smile and take his hand.
We dance for hours on end, laughing and smiling. We even talked while dancing. I got to know him, and all the little things like his favorite color, his favorite food and all kinds of other things. And he got to know mine. Now I know this seems fast but, I think I truly love this man. And as the night closed, he did something that truly surprised me.
After our final dance, Prince Sunghoon grabbed both my hands and stared deeply into my eyes, an expression of pure and utter love reflecting into my own. Slowly he bent to one knee, and said “Y/N L/N, I may have only met you at the beginning of the night, but I feel like I’ve known you for a thousand lifetimes. You truly are the most amazing and kind woman I have ever met. Will you make time the happiest man alive and be my bride?”, he asks. I let out a small gasp before my eyes well with tears. “Yes, a thousand times yes”, I answer and pull him up to wrap my arms around his neck.
The end~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I kinda rushed it a little at the end bc I got distracted and lost my train of thought 😞
Anyways I fully plan on making the part two as of now. It will probably be in sunghoons pov and will follow up on the whole “I know I don’t have much longer” aspect of it.
Anyways, it kinda sucks but I hope you enjoyed it at least a little! Have a good day <3
Love,
chaerin <3

just finished binging remarriage and desires! didn’t know much about it before watching but kim hee seon? park hoon? lee hyun wook? come ON. also it looked like a revenge makjang (and it was) sooo. yes please! it was fun. but like, only because I had zero expectations and switched off my brain before watching bc there ARE plotholes and dumb stuff happens.
- it was only 8 episodes! this was mostly fine because there was NOT enough plot for more but there were a few things that still needed resolving at the end imo, like what happened with hyung-ju’s company? did seok-jin get his inheritance or did the stepmother take it?
- ok “rex” marriage agency was ridiculous and that masquerade party?? i laughed, i cringed, it was great. sooo overdramatic. why did they put kim hee seon in that frilly outfit tho that was a terrible choice
- jung yoo jin/eugene as the villain was appropriately OTT and evil. she was great. at the start she maybe seems a little guilty about that dude killing himself, by the end she straight up tries to murder a child, just cuz
- for most of it i couldn’t tell who the male lead was? probably because the romance/chemistry wasn’t happening with EITHER of them. both were good guys.... i mean one gave her a car, one bought her a house...how does a girl choose. tbh i would’ve chosen seok jin but what do i know, apparently. hyung ju was fine but how were they in love? i refer u again to the lack of chemistry. he took hye seung and her daughter on his yacht ONE TIME. while also dating two other women?? the downside of an 8 episode drama i guess.... also they never even kissed (i think this is a kim hee seon thing actually, by now i don’t expect it from her despite all the sexy younger male actors she gets paired with. *cough*joo won*cough*lee soo hyuk*cough*...sad for her)
- omggg the wedding scene at the end was so funny. surprise! groom swap at the altar!! her mum and daughter were loving it (as was i! not sure i’d feel the same if it were my relative but 🙃). hye seung kept saying throughout that she had no intention of ever remarrying so part of me hoped she’d stay single, but i guess not (although all we saw was a smile at her replacement groom so who really knows...)
- speaking of the ending i know in my heart that netflix won’t give us another season. i didn’t even WANT one. but then that final park ji hoon cameo?? why did they do that to me. i changed my mind, i would watch that drama

DRAMA REVIEW | Not Others (2023)
This drama was a pleasant surprise. It's not that common to see a kdrama that has as leads a single mother and her grown daughter, mostly because of the stigma this kind of family stills carries in South Korea.
Thankfully, Not Others manages to not make it all about the stigma of teen pregnancy or single motherhood, it finds a good balance between every day life events, criminal investigation and rom-com. Particularly because Mom and Daughter are so unbothered by it that they carry on with a "it sounds like a you problem" when someone points out they are, within their society, wildly unconventional.
At the heart of it, there's a story of two women making their way in the world through hardships, love and growing pains. About how it's possible to choose your family and make that unit be whatever you want, not what it's expected.
My favourite part of this drama was the performances. Jeon Hye Jin and Soo-young shine as the outspoken Mother-Daughter duo. Their characters are kind, smart and brave about their life choices. They have great chemistry with each other and make you feel everything.
The rest of the cast delivers solid support. Kim Hye Eun plays the rich, cool aunt and she's a hoot in every scene she's in. Park Sung-hoon in a great counterpart for Soo-young and Ahn Jae Wook delivers as the lovable fool supporting whatever his ladies wish for.
There's also a murder mystery surrounding the central story that manages to keep it all very centered and makes all the characters interact with each other making their world better developed.
Don't miss out on this found family! Their affection it's the real deal.

QoT was overall a pretty solid show imo but I do tend to go into shows with the expectation that I will be very disappointed which is a bad habit I’m trying to break but it’s the current truth.
Anyway, some thoughts I’ve had since it started bc I want them out of my head.
I was gonna put this one under the cut but no: Whoever came up with the summary on Netflix for this show needs to be stopped. I went in with COMPLETELY different expectations (I’m not someone who really watched trailers) and nearly didn’t watch the second episode.
Hae-in has been rotating around in my head like a rotisserie chicken since I started the show. She is now going around and around next to Keyleth of the Air Ashari (I made it to the end of this list and was gonna put this there but I think it’s better here lol)
There was SO much potential for some great commentary on class and while I knew from the beginning that they weren’t gonna do anything meaningful with it it’s still a bit of a disappointment
While I’m definitely super curious about what exactly Hae-in and Eun-sung’s relationship is/was I think it’s absolutely fantastic writing that we aren’t given anything else. It really shows that as a person he is so unimportant to her and her life story. Like he’s important in the sense of the role he played but he doesn’t mean anything to her.
Seul-hee had the potential to be grown into a good character but they didn’t really let that happen so she sorta stayed as the classic…like to me her character is more Mini Bad Guy #1 and not BBEG? She didn’t have to be and the story they wrote for her definitely had the room for a grander antagonist but she just sorta plateaued in the first like third idk
I think they could have been a tad more consistent with Eun-snug’s characterization bc he doesn’t start to really “unravel” until the second to last episode and although it’s in character it came on sorta sudden? Like honestly even if they had just moved Hae-in’s line about him pushing her into a ditch just so he could help her out or something like that I think at least for me it would have flowed a bit better. There was just such a jump from him threatening his mother for trying to kill Hae-in to him trying to kill her
I’m glad Soo-cheol was able to grow up and be the man and father he wanted to be. I was definitely a little worried in the beginning that he would stay the silly idiot baby brother
The whole “oldest sibling dying” thing was sorta idk lack luster. I know that it was a good way to have Hae-in and Hyun-woo be connected from a young age and be a reason that Seon-hwa resents her for so long but I dunno I guess I would have given it all a different resolution which would be that Hae-in and her mother reconcile but not completely. Like she treated her daughter terribly for 20+ years. I get that Hae-in is dying and that plays a role but I think I would have done things a bit differently
I never skipped an opening credits. That shit is magical. God tier editing. I think about it all the time. And the fact that the title card at the end is in color oh my god.
I loved that in the last handful of episodes the show played into how similar Kim Soo-hyun and Park Sung-hoon can look. Idr if it starts when Hae-in sees Hyun-woo instead of Eun-sung or if there’s some of it before that but if there was then they ramped it up at that point which is such good design/writing
My absolute biggest problem with the show—as in every other thing is just sorta nitpicking—is that Hae-in never once saved Hyun-woo. He was always the one giving and healing and comforting. And I know it’s part of his character and their dynamic that he makes all these sacrifices because he loves her but I really really think it would have been good for Hae-in’s character arc if over the course of the show, even just in the back half, she had even one moment where she took on that role for real. Between their familial/childhood class differences and the way her family treats him for so much of the show, the fact that he is constantly in service to her and all she does is verbally defend him two or three times just sorta rubs me the wrong way
The way it ended is so just !!!! On one hand it’s pretty much how I wanted it to end but on the other I feel like there was so little closure about their relationship! Idk maybe I was just expecting to have a second wedding montage after everything or even a photo of it next to their first one. They didn’t have to go that far into the future tho! That was so sick of them!! Sending them my therapy bill as we speak. I do sorta wish Hyun-woo had been the one to go first bc I think it would have been a good flip of their conversation in Germany and also for reasons related to the above bullet point that I’m having trouble wording atm
Secretary Na the love of my life💗💗💗
The epilogues were so cute😭 it’s fun when shows have that sorta thing but in the ones that I’ve watched they’re usually just sorta a short continuation of the episode or something that just feels sorta isolated from the rest of the show. But making them flashbacks focused on their relationship was just ahhhhhh I loved it. I was a little meh about the second to last one but 🤷‍♀️. I was also thinking that depending on how the finale ended that epilogue would be a flashforward instead to them with a kid or something
The narrations that happened were a little weird just bc they felt so untethered sorta? Like they didn’t happen in most of the episodes and they sounded like they were talking to someone else but I don’t think they were? And imo the audience didn’t really need them? I think if it had just been the one in the finale it would have been fine but the one Hae-in gives a few episodes before makes both a little out of place to me

‘Moving’ Episode 19: The Final Battle at Jeongwon High School
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+) The episode began with the continuation of the fierce battle between the former agents and the North Korean army. The North Koreans were determined to complete their mission and bring the file back to their country, while the former agents were willing to do anything to protect their children. Lee Kang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon) was brutally beaten by Park Chan Il (Jo Bok Rae), who had super-strength powers. Kang Hoon was inexperienced and overpowered by his opponent. Their guidance counselor, Cho Il Hwan (Kim Hee Won), tried to stop Park Chan Il, but he failed. Luckily, Lee Jae Man (Kim Sung Kyun) arrived in time and saved Kang Hoon from the North Korean soldier. Their father-son relationship touched the viewers as Jae Man apologized for coming late. Jang Joo Won (Ryu Seung Ryong) was able to defeat Kwon Young Deuk (Park Gwang Jae), who had the same powers as him. Joo Won used his healing abilities and superhuman strength to overpower his enemy. However, the situation turned worse when Kim Deok Yoon (Park Hee Soon) called for backup from their strongest soldier, Lim Jae Seok (Lee Suk Hyeong). Lim Jae Seok had the ability to crush anything with a clap, but he was sensitive to light and could not stand seeing it. Lim Jae Seok unleashed his destructive power and demolished half of Jeongwon High School, causing chaos and panic among the students and teachers. Joo Won had to save Jae Man again from the collapsing building, but he got trapped under the rubble with a metal rod piercing his chest. Joo Won’s eyes were severely damaged by Lim Jae Seok’s attack, and he decided to remove them himself. He told Jae Man to take care of his daughter, Jang Hui Soo (Go Youn Jung), and said his final words: “I love you.” Jae Man managed to escape from the building with Kang Hoon and others before it was too late. He carried Joo Won’s body with him and mourned his death.
The Heartbreaking Reunion of Ryu Seung Ryong and Go Youn Jung
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+) Meanwhile, Kim Bong Seok (Lee Jung Ha) and Hui Soo were hiding in a classroom with Frank (Ryoo Seung Bum), who had betrayed the CIA and decided to help them. Frank used his healing abilities to treat Bong Seok’s wounds and told him that he was his uncle. Frank revealed that he was Kim Doo Sik’s (Zo In Sung) younger brother, who was kidnapped by the CIA when he was a child. He said that he never forgot his brother and wanted to see him again. He also said that he was sorry for what he had done and asked for Bong Seok’s forgiveness. Bong Seok accepted Frank’s apology and hugged him. He said that he was glad to have an uncle like him. Frank smiled and said that he was proud of his nephew. Hui Soo was worried about her father, Joo Won, who had not contacted her for a long time. She tried to call him, but there was no answer. She asked Frank to help her find him, but Frank said that it was too dangerous. Hui Soo insisted on going out, saying that she could not just sit there and do nothing. She said that she loved her father more than anything and wanted to see him alive. She ran out of the classroom, followed by Bong Seok. They encountered Lim Jae Seok, who was still rampaging outside. Hui Soo tried to fight him, but she was no match for his power. Lim Jae Seok grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up. Bong Seok used his flying abilities to rescue her, but he was also caught by Lim Jae Seok. He squeezed them both until they lost consciousness. At that moment, Joo Won’s voice echoed in Hui Soo’s mind. He told her that he loved her more than anything and that he was sorry for not being a good father. He said that he was proud of her and that she should live happily. Hui Soo regained her strength and broke free from Lim Jae Seok’s grip. She used her healing abilities to heal Bong Seok’s wounds and helped him fly away from Lim Jae Seok. They landed near a truck where Jae Man was waiting for them. He told them to get in quickly and drove away from the school. On the way, Hui Soo saw her father’s body lying on the back seat. She was shocked and devastated. She cried out his name and hugged him, hoping that he would wake up. She asked Jae Man what had happened to him, but Jae Man could not answer. He was also in tears and grief. Hui Soo blamed herself for her father’s death. She said that she should have stayed with him and helped him. She said that she was sorry for not being a good daughter. Bong Seok tried to comfort her, saying that it was not her fault. He said that her father loved her very much and that he sacrificed himself to save them. He said that they should be grateful for his life and honor his memory. Hui Soo sobbed and said that she loved her father very much and that she missed him. She said that she wanted to see him again and hear his voice. Bong Seok hugged her and said that he was there for her. He said that they were not alone and that they had each other. He said that they would get through this together. The episode ended with a heartbreaking scene of Hui Soo and Bong Seok mourning their father’s death, while Jae Man drove them to safety.

tbh I mayhaps started writing again. Currently I have 30k of a Sunghoon fic(idk how long it's gonna be but lets just say it just hit the climax), 12k of a Heeseung fic, 6k of a Sunoo fic, and finished a 7k Yuma fic and 11k Jo fic. Like I can't just focus on one thing at one time, I get writers block and start a whole new fic. I also have a bunch of other ideas, I have at least one plot for each and every member of &Team and Enhypen, some have multiple, to give a little taste of some I have ideas for but I haven't started yet kitsune Taki, guardian angel which turns into fallen angel Euijoo, enemies to lovers Jay, and a the Little Mermaid fic with Jake(since tell me Jake is not Prince Eric coded). And it's so sexy to see you using some of the ideas I've sent you for Strictly Business, before long we'll all be sending you Strictly Business thoughts and headcannons.
Of course Sunoo and Niki may have been in it sparsely, but they are still family, and ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. Allow me to leave you with a few last, last for now I'll probably think of more later, Poison future thoughts:
Everyone always takes vacation together once a year, all 14 of them and their 15 kids, they all rent a private jet, thanks to sugar daddy Jay and his extremely extremely well paying job. They all enjoy an amazing two week vacation together each summer, all the kids and adults alike. It's a tradition that started back when only Hee and y/n had a child and the only married ones were Hee and Hoon, the rest were just dating. It however, has turned into a long standing tradition; they all set aside two weeks each year and just enjoy being together, no responsibilities or anything, except for their children until they get old enough to handle themselves. It is on these vacations that their children grow closer, the ones that aren't in the same grade.
Each birthday within the group is celebrated with everyone, a minimum of at least 30 people, since Jay's sister will come when he asks her too, will come to each party; even if none of the kids friends come, they have a full party regardless. Sunghoon plans each and every party, wanting nothing but the best for all their kids, he even offers to help Sunoo and Niki plan their kids birthdays. He's also prepared for everything, like once his daughter wanted a Princess Elsa birthday party, but the princess he booked got the flu the day before and had to cancel, so instead of that Elsa, they had a 6 foot tall Elsa that looked oddly like Hoon singing Let It Go off-key, but his daughter had the time of her life at least.
Hoon's daughter is an absolutely princess and he's dreaded the day she comes home telling him she has a crush, like he knows how he reacted to his little sister having a crush, his daughter having a crush would be even worse. And worst it is, she comes home saying she's in love with one of the Sim boys and Hoon's heart just about stops, he loves Jake and all, they are besties, but she had to fall for his son. Hoon however encourages it, and little does he know that crush a 15 year old girl had on the 14 year old son of Jake, will turn into him walking her down the aisle with tears in his eyes to marry that son only ten years in the future.
Jungwon's daughters are all princesses as well, but not as bad Hoon's, he however dreads the love talks even more, I mean how can he not when he has to deal with 3 times compared to Hoon's 1. When his middle daughter comes home with hearts in her eyes, he'd terrified of what to say and of course their mom isn't around, so he has to deal with it. He's even more terrified when the name out of the girl's mouth is the name of Jay Park's son. What starts as a simple crush turns into Jay's son attending family dinner, taking Jungwon's daughter to prom, and before long asking Jungwon for his daughter's hand in marriage with tears in eyes. Jungwon might be a protective father, but deep within his heart, he knows there is no one that would love his daughter as much as Jay's son does, and he happily gives her away, crying tears of happiness at the wedding, that quickly turn to tears of sadness as it hits him he has to do this two more times.
All their children remain friends even once meeting adulthood, their friendship reminiscent of the friendship between their parents. Jake, Jay, Heeseung, and Sunghoon's sons are carbon copies of them, forming their own little group, the six of them being just as bad as their dads were. Meanwhile Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Heeseung's 5 daughters form a somewhat similar group, all the cousins being best friends.
bestie you're a MACHINEEEEE and im afraid very much needed for this fandom so pls do reconsider coming back on here and blessing people with your talent 😭😭😭💞 and pls its so sexy of YOU for the ideas to strictky business you've sent me like its an honor for me to use those and i hope you know how much i appreciate your input 🥺💞
and please every time i think im over poison you send me headcanons like these and i get all emotional bc i lit teared up thinking about the boys creating mini mes and having them gang uo as well like i just 🥺 i'd marry your brain if i could and since i cant pls accept my kisses 💔🩷💞💗

Okay im adding the rest of my glory liveblogging under the cut so i don't have to keep making more posts lol
God everyone in this show is so fucked up. Yeon jin kissing jae jun SECONDS after he strangled her and also jae jun showing up to father day (or whatever its called, idk i never had those) with do yeong RIGHT THERE AUGSHSJJAJA don't listen to them do yeong i would treat you and your money right
do yeong clearly getting pissed abt the way jae jun talks about dong eun IS SO HOT AND STUPID honey you are an old married man with a 1st grader, is now really the time to be getting jealous about your one sided emotional affair. but also its hot. (whats that phrase? hate to see you go but love to watch you walk away? idk i think this is improper usage) this is now the second "hot old sad married business man that was cheated on but also had his own emotional affair BEFORE he realized he was being cheated on" on my list of rotating men
god GOD WAIT the way all of her bullies are swearing "ill do anything you say. i swear ill follow you until you die" THE METAPHORS. THE METAPHORS OUGHGGHHG
DO YEONG PLAYING VERY LOUD CLASSICAL MUSIC IN HIS CAR SO THAT HIS DAUGHTER DOESN'T HERE HIM CONFRONT JAE JUN. HQGSJSJSJJSS ALL OF THE MEN IN THIS SHOW ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF FUCKED UP
soft spoken carefully dressed married businessmen aggressively confronting the people bothering their emotional affair-ees (GOD MY TYPE IS SO WEIRD AND UNOBTAINABLE AHGSHZJAKNAS)
nothing and i mean NOTHING will outweigh the fucking ECSTASY i felt watching park dong hoon beat threaten and beat the shit out of that loan shark in my mister. ive got goosebumps just THINKING ABT IT AAAAAAA
sorry my edible just kicked in
do yeong please. i am begging you. just one chance just ONE
man this show is fucked up. the way jae jun doesn't seem like a terrible awful person at first bc you don't see him physical abuse dong eun but then you watch his character reveal more and more how fucked up he really is and it just shows how men like that never really grow out of it unless they're fucking called out on it
Oh dong eun. honey i am holding you (a woman capable of murder) so gently in my hands. they're all fucked up but jae jun and yeon jin in particular and the way they look at you (the camera) hits a little too close to home
God it is so hard to type under the influence i get so stupidly dizzy
i wonder if do yeong is going to be angrier with dong eun for using him or his wife for lying and cheating? Bc every time I think he's clearly over dong eun he says something that makes me think he intends to defend her or something
noooooo old man stay loyal to your emotional affair 🤡
I CAN BARELY TYPE THIS IK SO EXCITED. YEO JEONG AND DO YEONG IN THE SAME ROOM. EVIL DOCTOR MEETS SAD LONELY BUSINESSMAN
"you need to get up close and personal so you feel it as you go in" i have been so horribly obsessed with love for so long that my taste in men has soured. what is it about these crazy dangerous MANIACS THAT HAS ME SO PUFFED UP. KÖNIG AND GHOST AND NOW YEO JEONG. god the barely contained unhinged violence in his eyes. also is his meeting w do yeong genuinely like an accident??
oh my god. oh my god. YEO JEONG HAS SEEN DONG EUNS ROOM WITH ALL THE PICTYRESWTAPED TO THE WALL AND HE WAS LIKE "yeah okay. secretly i like this and also sure lets have casual domestic hang outs while we talk about damning the people from your past"
THE MEETING WAS ORCHESTRATED. HE'S PLAYING HIS PART AS A PAWN SO EAGERLY "i was annoyed he was cooler than me" sorry. id like to be sandwiched inbetween you two and also dong eun
do yeong is so easily convinced when a pretty slightly dangerous woman looks threateningly in his eyes without wavering AT ALL
yeo jeong, uncomfortable at the sudden mention of illegal violet child abuse: so. uh. how frequently do you wash your sheets
HAGAJJSJABABA ALSO YEO JEONG after being prompted abt his murdery daydreams from a girl planning on being a murderer (i assume): um. can i persuade you to ask me something else?
Also dong eun the whole show is like " 👁👁 "
IM SORRY. THE MAN WHO MURDERED YEO JEONGS DAD WROTE HIM LETTERS DESCRIBING THE MURDER FOR LITERALLY THAT WHOLE TIME
"so your poor son went to hell after all, huh?"
WAIT DONG EUN IS TRIGGERED BY THE SOUND OF SIZZLING AND THAT SOUND RELAXES YEO JEONG. THE METAPHORSSSS
dong eun living literally across the street from yeon jin will also never not be funny
YEON JIN FINDING DONG EUNS ROOM WHILE THE HEAVY METAL PLAYS. YESSSSSS
OH LORD THE HEAVY METAL WHILE YEO JEONG WALKS THREATINGLY INTO A MORGUE. GOD HELP ME. THE GLOVES. also something about a doctor being in the hospital they work at in casual clothes. hot
yeo jeong i would die for you. and i think you would end up being the cause
DO YEONG IN DONG EUNS BEDROOM?????? Oh the parallels
IS THAT THE ENDING
THATS IT????????????????????????????? NO BABY I NEED MORE RIGHT NOW
part 2 coming march 2023. O have to stay alive until march 2023
NOOOOOO IT CAN'T BE OVER I WAS JUST GETTING SO FUCKING EXCITED
noooooo NOOOOO ugh. god damn it how am i supposed to know if do yeong is there to confront his wife or if he's there to protect her!!!!!! NOOO I NEED TO KNOW HOW MURDERY YEO JEONG IS
Edit literally 2 hours later: bro I CANNOT stop thinking about yeo jeong. I have a huge fucking problem. whats that post thats category 5 autism event or something bc i am going through it
I NEED MORE. I NEED MORE RIGHT NOW
something about yeo jeong drives me fucking crazy bro i cant stop thinking about the scene with him gently skimming his fingertips over his scalpels as they slowly get bigger and turn into knives of more and more lethality
The way he described stabbing someone to do yeong. good god these insane men are making ME INSANE TOO
god. christ. i can't handle it. hes so sweet looking but the way the actor immediately shifts into the dead eyed dangerous side of him was so masterfully done
oughghhhh i have to rewatch it RIGHT NOW OR ILL DIE I THINK

little women, ep. 1
Tumblr media
When I first watched the trailer for Little Women, I was intrigued by the premise of struggling sisters navigating the mystery around a huge amount of money, and how it changes the lives of these three “little women” in the midst of big people with power, connections, and wealth. It’s not entirely a new concept, but I am such a sucker for kdrama sister portrayals that this was a no-brainer addition to my to watch list.
Sure, one can first get caught with matching the characters and scenarios with the Louisa May Alcott source material (who’s the Jo? the Amy? the Meg? the Laurie? etc.), but by the second half of the first episode, you get the sense of considering the story on its own.
And it’s good. It’s so good! I don’t expect myself to be able to sustain an entire series review, but I’d like to be able to take notes along the way. It feels like it’s going to be a great watch ahead, and I just want to make something out of my excitement. That said, be warned that the series in itself has a lot of violence, which might come up in these recaps, hence the tw tag.
Tumblr media
We begin with our three sisters: the Meg, the Jo, and the Amy. Poor Beth, no counterpart in here. Or maybe there’s more we don’t know, because mysterious baby picture, anyone?
Tumblr media
Among everyone, it’s Kim Go-eun that I was really looking forward to the most. I have never watched her past dramas, but I’ve been itching to see any of her work, and I felt that this role might just be too good to pass. I love the seeming naïveté of her Meg, whose Cinderella fantasies of getting married and being whisked away from poverty translates fittingly into our series’ Oh In-joo, dowdy green vest and tacky tulle skirt included. At home with her sisters, though, she can be straightforward and determined behind the smiley and meek behavior she shows outside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When she cried upon seeing the contents of the duffel bag her friend, Jin Hwa-young (played by Choo Ja-hyun), left her, I felt as if we were witnessing only the initial unraveling of her character.
Tumblr media
Nam Ji-hyun as Oh In-kyung is also riveting. This is my third Nam Ji-hyun drama and the other two had her as the childhood-friend-and-fated-endgame of a wealthy amnesiac. Here In-kyung is barefaced, buttoned up, but not quite sober. She’s an investigative reporter with a deep empathy for people, and a righteous understanding of the pitfalls of wealth.
Tumblr media
I loved her scene with Great Aunt Oh. They’re just having breakfast and talking, but the way this was set up made me wonder if we’re supposed to look at how In-kyung was influenced by her aunt despite not having had the warmest upbringing.
Tumblr media
Great Aunt also meddles in her love life, and we see the Laurie for this series, too. It’s Kang Hoon as Ha Jong-ho. When they met each other under aunt’s ruse of bringing a mistakenly delivered package, we understand that there’s history between them. In-kyung is at the tail of a highly tense investigation, and we can wonder how this might affect their relationship as the series moves forward.
Tumblr media
I don’t have much to say about Park Ji-hu’s Oh In-hye just yet, except that I can certainly understand her wanting to make her own money after seeing her sisters toil to provide for their family. She’s ambitious and gritty and I cannot help but wonder where the story will take her character, especially with her association with who seems to be Park Jae-sang’s wife and daughter.
Tumblr media
Wi Ha-joon is another actor I was excited to see in this series. I thought his character in Romance is a Bonus Book was compelling enough. His role as Cho Do-il is obviously different so I also cannot wait to find out more about him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It seems orchids is a recurring motif in this show. From trying to google ‘princess of thieves orchid’, I saw some twitter threads on the repeating symbolism of this flower on the show. Since I’m behind watching, I didn’t read too far and suspended spoilers. Anyway… too many orchids. From the orchids in the office in the 14th floor to…
Tumblr media
the blue orchid tattoo…
Tumblr media
the wallpaper in Hwa-young’s apartment (excellent mirror-threshold blocking, by the way)…
Tumblr media
a blue orchid beside her fishtank…
Tumblr media
and a blue orchid brooch on the suit of Park Jae-sang (played by Um Ki-joon). Yikes… Personally, I think orchids are also an appropriate motif in a tight environment of power and wealth. Orchids are expensive and requires a lot of precise care.
Tumblr media
I cannot wait for the sisters to tie up the associations together. The context surrounding Hwa-young’s death becomes even more sinister in light of In-kyung’s investigation on the four money-related suicides from the Bobae Savings Bank Case.
Finally, what will In-joo do with the money that landed on her via yoga locker? Director Shin Hyeon-Min is after the slush fund, and it seems In-joo is in it now, too. Not to mention, she signed an account opening form for Hwa-young, so it seems like the money in the bag is not all there is to it.
