LATELY, YOUNGER FANS of Harry Styles and Taylor Swift have been trying to piece together the puzzle of exactly who Dita Von Teese is. The burlesque legend had a cameo in Styles’ leading man debut Don’t Worry Darling then popped up in the video for Swift’s Midnights single “Bejweled.”
Von Teese, meanwhile, has been blissfully unaware that a new generation is discovering her.
“It’s really funny when things like this happen,” she says over Zoom. “I’m not very active on TikTok even though I have one. On Instagram, Facebook, and everything, I don’t really dig too much. I’m not trying to hunt for accolades. When you start to hunt for the good stuff, you’re gonna find some bad stuff.”
Von Teese has remained a steady and successful presence in the burlesque scene. She has been crucial in helping re-popularize the performance style, often becoming the de facto face of it. In the aughts, she made appearances on shows like America’s Next Top Model and RuPaul’s Drag Race. All the while, she has built a steady touring career, including her current Glamanoatrix revue that will traverse North America from New Year’s Eve through late February.
Over the summer, she got a call out of the blue from Taylor Swift’s people pitching her on a scene in the video for “Bejeweled.” The track is the second single off Swift’s tenth album Midnights and was accompanied by Swift-directed, cameo-filled visual that also features Laura Dern, Haim, Jack Antonoff, and make-up artist and entrepreneur Pat McGrath.
Swift herself also spoke with Von Teese ahead of the video. “She said, ‘I watch people be inspired by you. You’re on everybody’s mood board but nobody ever credits you or features you.’ She wanted to do that. I thought that was really nice that she said that. That’s the kind of attitude that makes me want to share my trade secrets.”
Swift’s costume designer Joseph Cassell came by Von Teese’s house on day to take a look at her collection and then made water-proof, “PG” recreations of the Catherine D’Lish originals for the shoot.
Von Teese filmed her appearance in August. In the video, she and Swift do mirror performances of the burlesque diva’s martini glass dance, in two of the glasses from Von Teese’s personal performance collection. They didn’t rehearse; Swift had been studying Von Teese’s videos and took some early tips.
“We worked it out on set in a matter of several hours. She’s a pro. I think the one thing she had the hardest time with was the stocking peel. I was able to talk her through it,” she says.
Vintage glamour is a new look for Swift, and Von Teese loved seeing the pop star dip into her world. “She’s so fan to look and such a good sport,” she says. “It’s such a delight to work with somebody like her who is not afraid to express gratitude and shine the spotlight on other people because she realized it doesn’t take away anything from her own power as a woman. A lot of people just see the mood board and they say they’re inspired by someone and they just run with it. I liked that she was not afraid to say ‘Thank you for being part of my video’ to everybody that’s in it. You don’t get that you don’t get that a lot in show business”

Catfish: Lisbeth Olofsson/Elofsson
Name(s): Lisbeth Olofsson, Lisbeth Elofsson, Lisbeth Olofsson Gordy
Facebook (DEACTIVATED)
LinkedIn - BANNED
IMDb - REMOVED
Tumblr media
Lisbeth Olofsson profile preview, featuring stolen multimedia.
Our first catch of the day. Lisbeth Olofsson is presented as being the 40-year-old daughter or niece of Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren, born out of wedlock. This persona claims to be from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, with a high school upbringing in Silverdale, Washington and her alma mater being Olympia College & Malmö University. Her LinkedIn profile listed her profession as being an archaeologist and curator at the Swedish Museum of Science and Technology. Since the Lisbeth Olofsson profile emerged in 2013, this individual has claimed credits that include cameoing as Lundgren's character's daughter in The Expendables 3, being attached to the Luna Project and as Kara Zor-El in the Arrowverse; a production secretary on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Labyrint, Wallander and Lucy. As of this juncture, the Olofsson Facebook profile has over 3,200 followers and is utilized for networking and smear campaigns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images of Alana Cragin (left) & Rafaela Pesci (right), stolen to represent Olofsson.
Olofsson does not exist. None of the aforementioned productions ever had someone with such a name involved. Evidence claiming to show a connection between Olofsson and Lundgren has been manufactured, through the use of stolen pictures and videos, with the sources generally being marketing and paparazzi materials. The likeness of several women have been stolen over the years, with the initial main source being American former model Alana Cragin, with supplementary material from Brazilian former bodybuilder Rafaela Pesci. The primary source since 2016 is a 27-year-old Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences graduate of Guelph University named Sara Pindera. Since the creation of the Olofsson profile, Pindera has been extensively preyed upon, with dozens of pictures and videos of she and her friends & family stolen and re-published for building the false identity. Content is generally stolen and re-posted within a week of its original upload.
Tumblr media
The victim shares a graduation picture from Guelph University in 2016.
Tumblr media
The perpetrator applies a minor adjustment and claims it is from Olympia College in the early 2000s.

My 3 chosen Field of Expertise/  Social Media  Influencers
What is Social Media?-  It is a forms of electronic communication (such as websites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (such as videos). The social media platform is a crucial tool for your business marketing strategy. Social Media increase awareness about your business, connect you with your customer and increase your leads and incomes. To engage with brands and latest fashion most of the people use social media accounts. Some examples of social media sites and applications include Facebook, YouTube, Del.icio.us, Twitter, Digg, blogs and other sites that have content based on user participation and user-generated content (UGC).
DANCING
First field of expertise that i chose is Dancing, one of my influencer is MAJA SALVADOR. Maja Ross Andres Salvador ; born October 5, 1988) is a Filipina actress, dancer, singer, model, occasional host and producer. She is currently under the management of ABS-CBN's Star Magic and is regarded as the "Dance Princess".[1] In 2011, Salvador co-produced and portrayed the title role in the film Thelma, which earned her the Gawad Urian Award and the Film Academy of the Philippines Award for Best Actress.[2][3] She is widely known for her roles in the TV series Nagsimula sa Puso, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, Ina, Kapatid, Anak, The Legal Wife, Bridges of Love and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. In 2017, Salvador rose to prominence for her role as Lily Cruz / Ivy Aguas in Wildflower.
I really love Maja Salvador when it comes of Dancing and Acting that’s why i choose her as one of the influencer in Dance Category. The most important why her because i love her wild confident while she performing on the stage, and i love her also when she act  on the TV screen she can portray both protagonist and anthagonist. Im so proud of her very versatile or  multi-talented person that i know in showbiz world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ENTERTAINMENT
Second expertise that i chose is Entertainment, in that field of expertise i choose MAYMAY ENTRATA or her real name was Mary Dale Entrata born in Camiguin on May 6, 1997 though raised in Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines. She grew up with her grandparents as her father left them when she was just a year old and her mother went to Japan as an OFW. Starting at the age of 14, Entrata began auditioning for various reality TV shows to fulfill her ambition of becoming an actress.
Through the years, she was rebuffed from Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010, Pinoy Big Brother: 737, The Voice and Pilipinas Got Talent. In 2016, Entrata auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 and was chosen for the Teen Edition. Entrata was the Lucky Teen Housemate chosen by the Celebrity housemates after accomplishing 6 out of 7 lucky tasks to become a fully pledged housemate for the Teen Edition. She entered the house a day after the two Celebrity Housemates, Jinri Park and Nikko Natividad & McCoy DeLeon were announced as the two Lucky Stars finalists.
- Im really proud of her now because of her achievements on her life from nothing  until  she became a successful young woman in abs-cbn network. I love her confident also because she show her talent to the world and her fighting spirit im really amazed. She shared her joy to others that makes people happy and i wish she will not change of what she is right now, and  let her life will recieve a more blessings. SHE JUST KEEP ON FIGHTING AND DREAM HIGH MAYMAY ENTRATA.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NEWS ANCHOR
The last field of expertise that I chose is News Anchor and for me, one of the influencer is MIKE ENRIQUEZ or  .Miguel Castro Enriquez (born on September 29, 1951, Santa Ana, Manila), also known as Mike Enriquez, is a Filipino television and radio newscaster. He is also the Consultant for radio operations of GMA Network, and president of the network's regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM. ..
He started his career in broadcasting as a staff announcer at the Manila Broadcasting Company in 1969. It began when he visited a friend in that company and accidentally discovered his interest in radio.[1] He has since worked in various positions, as a broadcast reporter, a news editor, program director, and station manager, until he became manager of a medium-sized radio network.
He also had stints in other radio networks such as Freedom Broadcasting Radio Network and Radio Mindanao Network (RMN), where he became vice president for the company. He was the man behind the huge success of DWKC 93.9, which stayed in the number 1 spot for so many years before he left in 1995. He is the voice behind the Mellow Touch 94.7 signature and introduction.[1] He also became a disc jockey known as "Baby Michael" and he played a cameo role as a disc jockey in Andrew E.'s 1992 movie Mahirap ang Maging Pogi (It's Not Easy Being Handsome).
Mike Enriquez was one of my best anchor for me because he has a gifted voice given by GOD, i love his modulated and husky voice and the way he delivered his report on TV News Caster it is very nice.
Tumblr media
In general, i would say that its better to know your self of  “Who i am “  or “What can i do” as a person, we need to explore more ourselves because it would be easy to know of what field of expertise we belong as individual in this world where we are living. We can’t say that we don’t have a talent or expertise and the answers is no because  all of us have a field that we are good and expert, but there was a time that we are afraid to show our talents beacuse fears is always win. If we have a talent let it show to the world , do not hide of what you can do because it you no one can take your place or substitute of your life.
Right now, i really know of what field that i belong to. The field of expertise that i have was Dancing, Acting, being an anchor of Filipino Broadcasting and last is being a Good chef. I have full confident to showcase or shared my talents in front of many people, sometimes even if i have that confident the destroyer of all my talents was a Fear, a fear that push me not to do like for example the comments and reaction that i will recieve to others after doing my performance, to let this fear will not appear i would always thinks positively in order to achieve my goals and to be successful person, as what i said no one can take our place because its our individuals self no one can controlled us.

Thess vs Human Interaction
Article I tripped over on Facebook was talking about how D&D’s popularity was on the rise. The article raised a lot of good points, focusing particularly on its visibility and accessibility lately, and citing being able to play on line on platforms like Roll20 as one of the reasons it’s gaining wider appeal.
But of course, we had to have a Luddite - one who basically said, “Of course D&D is more popular now! People are fed up with being online all the time and crave human interaction!”
...So ... I guess he missed the part about Roll20?
Seriously, I’m looking at the groups with whom I play regularly. They’re people I met online, for the most part. Two from the Daria fandom - one directly, and one in a Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon sort of way (and in fact is only one of two who I met in person before talking to them online). Three from the SW:TOR community. One from a forum-and-chat WoD RP site back in the day. A couple from the Dragon Age fandom (sadly no longer with us, but one at least comes back for cameos). And one I met in the queue for a Critical Role panel at last October’s MCM Comic Con that I wouldn’t have been able to go to had it not been for the aforementioned online friends.
Some of these people would never have met if I hadn’t gone, “Hey, let’s play D&D!” Others already knew each other but probably wouldn’t talk as often. I’ve managed to re-establish contact with two people I hadn’t spoken to in awhile through RP (one invited to my D&D group, the other currently in my Saturday evening Dice Box shenanigans who would apparently be totally into my D&D group if it didn’t fall on his other group’s RP night). Point is that whole new friendships ended up forming just because I said, “Hey, how about we play D&D?” - and without the online component, it wouldn’t be possible.
Online interaction is great for people like me - and I know that there are more of them out there than many might like to think. It’s human interaction with escape clauses, safe zones ... hell, training wheels. You don’t have to let people see your face or hear your voice if you don’t want to. Text gives you time to think about what you’re about to say. Sure, being on a video call takes most of that away, but there’s still the security blanket of there being a screen and all those miles between you and the person you’re talking to, and ... well, when you’re roleplaying, you don’t have to be you the whole time. Plus if you talked to people through text-only means first, there’s time to build up comfort levels instead of throwing yourself full-tilt into a face-to-face social situation where escape is rude.
It also helps that online is one place that you’re guaranteed to be able to express your interests in things without mockery, which is really important. Teenagers are still living in the shadow of a time when ‘nerdy’ interests were mocked, and they can’t tell who still adheres to that stupid arbitrary thing about what is and isn’t cool. It’s worse when you’re an adult - there’s no way to tell who in the office is going to be thrilled to hear about someone else being into D&D or video games, who’s going to be clueless but interested, and who’s going to think you’re a childish weirdo. Online, though ... well, you’re in that particular section of the internet specifically because you have those interests. Sure, some people might turn up specifically to mock, but most people are going to be looking for other people interested in what they love. If your small town doesn’t have a game store, or no one’s running events in your area (or has room for you if they do), online is your best bet for social interaction that actually involves sharing interests instead of just mouthing platitudes and pleasantries.
In short, I really wish that people would stop insisting that the internet and human interaction are mutually exclusive terms. The internet didn’t kill human interaction; it allowed human interaction to evolve. I would never have found so many people who share my interests if it weren’t for the internet; I would not have as many friends. ...And honestly, literally, I would not be alive right now if it weren’t for the people I met online.

i'm too overwhelmed to watch the rhy's vianton cameo video; i don't suppose there's any chance you've come across a transcript? or if you would mind sharing the key points/quotes? 🫣🫣🫣
CW: Spoilers for the Rhys Darby Vianton Cameo
Oh sure hon! I haven't seen a transcript... and normally I'd try to do it tonight but I am getting ready for bed.... SO here are the highlights: 1. The name of the person who requested the video was "VIANTON" so they got Rhys to say that name with NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANS.
2. He comes up with Anton's last name- Anton Anderson (AA)
3 . How did he become a werewolf?
He was assertive
head supervisor back store room manager of the christ church branch of the bbq factory
middle management
"definitely had people under him"
giving orders, getting orders, ordering people
Then unfortunately he was attacked by a werewolf on his way home (maybe from a pub) after he cut through a park otw home
4. Werewolves hang out in packs, they met at night as werewolves and woke up with no clothes.
5. Anton really became a leader by starting up a support network (WSN: Werewolves Support Network) - monthly meetings - had a facebook group, having each others back when transformations happen
6. These people can be anyone, nerdy types, it guys, they arent aggressive type men
7. Anton claims to be the alpha male (and then rhys makes this face),
Tumblr media
8. Anton has the confidence and uses it in the group, and for self assurance. He's gained confidence being a werewolf.
9. Had to leave his job at the bbq factory, and we see him in wellington paranormal, and he's a park ranger now.
10. Werewolves do their attacks at parks so they are away from people and he has security over his own actions. He's also able to cover his attacks better in the woods.
11. As to "We're Wolves" - no update right now, but Rhys will see Jermaine soon so he'll have a chat with him (thats all he can promise)
12. Thank you for your fandom, and here's to the werewolves, they're gentleman, but when they turn, boy do they turn.
13. He pretends the full moon is coming and says "Oh shit-- omg these pants arent gonna last". and then says "alright gonna love you and leave you!"
Hope that helps :D

The Pepper Thai Cookbook: Chrissy Teigen's mom talks food, family and her need for Thai spice (CNN) — As anyone who’s visited Thailand knows, food is a key part of the experience. Whether you’re street side in Chiang Mai slurping back a bowl of khao soi noodles or enjoying a Michelin-starred Thai meal in a high-end Bangkok restaurant, the memories of those powerful, balanced flavors stay with you long after you’ve left the country. Vilailuck “Pepper” Teigen knows this all too well. Mother of model, TV personality and entrepreneur Chrissy Teigen, Pepper emigrated to Utah from Thailand’s northeast Isaan region in the early 1980s. For years, she says she tried to replicate the flavors of home, struggling to find ingredients in the small American town she lived in. “When I had Chrissy as a baby I remember going to a little market,” she tells CNN during a recent video interview. “I was the only Asian in that little town — Delta, Utah — where Chrissy was born and I requested ‘Can you bring in bean sprouts and lemon grass please?’ And they did. But other than that, I had to travel 100-200 miles just to get gaprao (Thai basil).” Today, Pepper lives in Los Angeles with Chrissy, son-in-law John Legend and their two kids, Luna and Miles. She makes regular cameos on their Instagram feeds, often appearing in the kitchen cooking alongside Chrissy or her grandkids, or joining them on their travels. Pepper’s influence can be found in Chrissy’s two cookbooks and on her Cravings website. But for the first time, the mom/grandmother is sharing her stories and recipes in her very own book. “The Pepper Thai Cookbook,” out this week, is an 80-recipe collection filled with gorgeous photos of food and her family, accompanied by laugh-out-loud anecdotes and touching memories of her experiences growing up in Thailand and her life in the US. “It’s just kind of like having a baby again!” Pepper says of her new book. “The same feeling. I’m so excited and a little bit nervous.” The book features dishes from several regions of Thailand. But Pepper puts her own spin on some of them — pad Thai brussels sprouts, anyone? — while also including other family staples like scalloped potatoes, the first “American dish” she learned to make. “Our family loves to eat,” says Pepper. “So I have my favorites from Isaan (in the book) because that’s where I’m from originally. That’s my most favorite flavor. And then my family likes exploring some northern and southern Thai foods.” “Don’t be afraid” Thai cookbooks can often be intimidating for at-home chefs, depending on the availability of ingredients or personal dietary restrictions. But Pepper knows from experience that adaptations are often unavoidable and just wants people to have fun in the kitchen, saying she regularly gets asked for advice on how to make Thai recipes healthier or vegetarian-friendly. “Thai people tend to eat all day. A little bit here, a little bit there. Food is everywhere. The aroma of street food hits you as soon as you walk out the door in the morning.” Vilailuck “Pepper” Teigen “Don’t be afraid,” she says enthusiastically. “I worked very hard with the writer’s (Garrett Snyder’s) help so we got it. It’s easy, and simple.” What wasn’t easy, though, was having to document the measurements for each recipe. Pepper says a lot of what she does in the kitchen is based on instinct, so she had to figure out how much of each ingredient she was actually using. “Everything comes from my head, so the measuring, the weight…that was the biggest challenge. When I did it myself I don’t need a recipe — when I needed two tablespoons I did it without measuring. But I tested myself. It was almost exactly perfect every time.” Exploring the tastes of Isaan Pepper grew up in the small city of Nakhon Ratchasima — unofficially known as Korat — in Isaan, where her grandparents were rice farmers. This region is famed for offering some of Thailand’s greatest culinary hits, including larb (a spicy minced meat salad) and som tum (papaya salad). (See recipe for Pepper’s fried chicken larb at the end of this feature.) These bold, intense flavors were always a part of Pepper’s life. The oldest of five kids, she says she was in the third grade when she began helping out her mother, who worked in a school cafeteria. “I started going to the market with my mom and came back at about 5 or 6 in the morning and just started preparations,” she recalls. “I was the sous chef for my mother before I could leave for school. At lunch time I had to come down and help her selling, like a food vendor.” Pepper feels Thailand’s reputation for being food-obsessed is deserved, with the question “gin kao yung” — have you eaten yet — a constant fixture in everyday conversations. “Thai people tend to eat all day,” she says with a laugh. “A little bit here, a little bit there. Food is everywhere. The aroma of street food hits you as soon as you walk out the door in the morning.” Even though it’s been decades since she left Isaan, Pepper says she needs to eat Thai food once a day — which can get tricky given how often she’s on the road with Chrissy, John and the kids. “Every time we travel I start packing chili peppers, a krok (mortar and pestle for crushing ingredients like chilies and garlic), instant noodles, chili powder, fish sauce,” she says. “Travel for me is very difficult because I have to have Thai food.” Fortunately, she says her Grammy-winning son-in-law is an adventurous eater who isn’t afraid to try new flavors. “John is so good!” she says when asked whether he can handle spicy food. “He can eat all the things with me. He’s a very good sport. He tries everything. When we were back in my hometown he tried all the bugs in the bug cart.” That trip took place two years ago. Pepper brought Chrissy, John, Luna and Miles back to Korat with her, where they explored the city’s street food scene. A visit to a local market caused a bit of chaos, with fans swarming the family as they made their way through the crowd, their tour even broadcast live on Facebook. Pepper acknowledges it’s difficult to travel with her celebrity daughter and son-in-law given the attention they attract, but feels honored to have received such a warm welcome in her hometown — she was even granted a key to the city of Korat from local officials. “I’m so happy people recognized me,” says Pepper. “From just being a little girl who goes to the market every day, to being a mother… and look at me now.” Introducing her grandkids to Thai flavors When visiting Thailand, Pepper says she always has to have a bowl of boat noodles. Shutterstock When asked to single out the first thing she eats when she steps off the plane in Bangkok, there’s no hesitation. “Ahhh, me and Chrissy gotta go get boat noodles!” she says, referring to kuai tiao ruea — small bowls of beef or pork noodles with a hearty broth accompanied by herbs and veggies. The name is derived from the original vendors who once paddled through the canals and rivers in and around Bangkok, cooking steaming hot bowls of noodles right in their boats. Today, they are served in restaurants as well but you can still enjoy the classic, floating version. “Sometimes we get in the car and go straight from the airport, straight to Ayutthaya where (some of the best) boat noodles are,” says Pepper. Though Chrissy might be a huge fan of Thai food now, Pepper says that wasn’t always the case. In the intro of her book, she notes how her famous daughter always wanted American foods like grilled cheese and pizza when she was a kid. But as Chrissy grew older, she began to ask for all those Thai dishes she grew up cooking and eating with Pepper. Pepper’s grandchildren, on the other hand, already have Thai favorites of their own, which are included in the book. “They love my food! They always ask for it and I enjoy doing it, I am so happy. Luna advised me this morning, ‘Tell them I love your jok,'” says Pepper, sharing the advice her five-year-old granddaughter gave her about what to discuss during the interview with CNN. Pepper says her fried chicken is also a hit, and Miles, who is nearly three, particularly loves her ribs — with lots of garlic. These days, Pepper doesn’t have to travel hundreds of miles for ingredients. She says she has a garden filled with fresh produce, while other items are easy to find in Los Angeles, allowing her to cook all her Thai favorites at home. And as the Thai-American embarks on her latest journey as a cookbook author, she says Chrissy has been a huge source of support and comfort along the way, encouraging her to share her recipes with the world. “She’s just so proud of me,” says Pepper, breaking into her trademark smile. Recipe: Pepper’s Fried Chicken Larb Pepper’s Fried Chicken Larb. Jenny Huang/Clarkson Potter Serves 2-4 FOR THE DRESSING — 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice — 1 tablespoon fish sauce — 1 teaspoon light brown sugar — 1 tablespoon Toasted Rice Powder, store-bought or homemade — 1 teaspoon Roasted Chile Powder FOR THE LARB — 6 fried chicken tenders (about 12 ounces), sliced, or 3 heaping cups of chopped fried chicken — 1 medium shallot or ½ red onion, halved and thinly sliced (about ½ cup) — 4 scallions, thinly sliced (about ¼ cup) — ¼ cup packed cilantro leaves — ¼ cup torn mint leaves FOR SERVING — Cooked sticky rice or jasmine rice Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, brown sugar, rice powder, and chile powder until combined. How AI & ML are Transforming Social Media?
With the advancement in technology and artificial intelligence, various AI-based application platforms have been gaining popularity for a long time. AI has turned out to be a boom for popular Social Media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. To know more about AI and Machine Learning development services in Social Media, continue reading this article!
Today Artificial Intelligence has been a major component of popular Social Media platforms. At the current level of progress, AI for social media has been a powerful tool.
What is Artificial Intelligence? The term artificial intelligence (AI) refers to any human-like intelligence shown by a machine, robot, or computer. It refers to the ability of machines to mimic or copy the intelligence level of the human mind. This may include actions like understanding and responding to voice commands, learning from previous records, problem-solving, and decision-making. Many companies are providing AI application development services, which has made it easy for organizations to adopt AI and ML-based applications. What is Machine Learning?
In general terms, Machine learning (ML) is a subset of AI focusing on building applications and software that can learn from past experiences and data and improve accuracy without being specifically programmed to do so. Machine learning applications learn more from data and are designed to deliver accurate results.
How AI works? Not going deep into the engineerings and software development part of AI, here is just a basic description of working of AI:
Using ML, AI tries to mimic human intelligence. AI can make predictions using algorithms and historical data.
AI and ML in Social Media
Today, there exist several applications of AI and ML in different social media platforms. Big Companies have been using AI for a long time and are still into improvising their platforms and also acquiring small firms. There exist varieties of
AI and Machine Learning App Development Services
that are making the adoption of AI and ML possible.
AI is being used on Social Media platforms in various ways. Some of them are mentioned below:
   Analyzing pictures and texts
   Advertising
   Avoiding unwanted or negative promotions
   Spam detection
   Data collection
   Content flow decisions
   Social media insights, etc.
It may sound surprising but your favorite social media apps are already using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
1. Facebook and AI
Whenever it comes to social media, the first name that comes to mind is Facebook. Talking about cutting-edge technology, repurposing user data broken down into billions of accounts, Facebook is the leading social media platform.
Users on Facebook are allowed to upload pictures, watch videos, read texts and blogs, engage with different social groups, and perform many other functions.
Thinking of such a crazy and huge amount of data, a question arises how Facebook handles such data? Here, AI in Facebook comes in handy.
Facebook and the use of AI in Social Media
Here are some major examples of AI applications in Social Media:
* Facebook’s Text Analyzing
Facebook has an AI-based tool “DeepText”. This tool provides deep learning and helps the back-end team to understand the texts better and that too around multiple languages and hence provide better and more accurate advertising to the users.
* Facebook’s Picture Analyzing
Facebook uses Machine Learning to recognize faces in the photos being uploaded. Using face recognition, Facebook helps you find users that are not known to you. This feature also helps in detecting Catfishes (fake profiles created using your profile picture).
The algorithm also has an amazing feature of text explanations that can help visually disabled people by explaining to them what’s in the picture.
* Facebook’s Bad Content Handling
Using the same tool, DeepText, Facebook has been hailing the inappropriate or bad content that gets posted. After getting notified by AI, the team gets to work to understand and investigate the content.
As per the company guidelines, we get to see a few things that are flagged as inappropriate content:
   Nudity or sexual activity
   Hate Speech or symbols
   Spam
   Fake Profiles or fraud
Contents containing excessive violence or self-harm.
   Violence or Dangerous organizations
   Sale of illegal goods
   Intellectual property violations, etc.
   Facebook’s Suicide Preventions
With the same tool, DeepText, Facebook can recognize posts or searches that represent suicidal thoughts or activities.
Facebook has been playing a crucial role in suicide prevention. With the support of an analysis based on human moderators, Facebook can send videos and ads containing suicide prevention content to these specific users.
Facebook’s Automatic Translation
Facebook has also adapted AI for translating posts automatically in various languages. This helps the translation be more personalized and accurate.
2. Instagram with AI
Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social media platform that has been owned by Facebook since 2012. Users can upload pictures, videos (reels and IGTV) of their lifestyle, and other stuff and share them with their followers.
This platform is used by individuals, businesses, fictional characters, and pets as well. Managing all the data manually is next to impossible. Therefore, Instagram has developed AI algorithms and models making it the best platform experience for its regular users.
Instagram and the use of AI
* Instagram Decides What Gets on Your Feed
The Explore feature in Instagram uses AI. The suggested posts that you get to see on your explore section are based on the accounts that you follow and the posts you’ve liked.
Through an AI-based system, Instagram extracts 65 billion features and does 90 million model predictions per second.
The huge amount of data that they collect, helps them to show the users what they like.
* Instagram’s Fighting against Cyberbullying
While Facebook and Twitter are dependent mostly on reports from users, Instagram automatically checks content based on hashtags from other users, using AI. In case something is found against the community guidelines, the AI makes sure that the content is removed from Instagram.
* Instagram’s Spam Filtering
Instagram’s AI is capable of recognizing and removing Spam messages from user’s inboxes and that too in 9 different languages.
With the help of Facebook’s DeepText tool, Instagram’s AI can understand the spam context in most situations for more filtration.
* Instagram’s Improved Target Advertising
Instagram can keep a track of which posts have most of the user engagements or the user’s search preferences. Later, Instagram with the help of AI makes target advertisements for companies based on all such databases.
* Instagram handling Bad Contents
Since Instagram is owned by Facebook, more or less, Instagram also follows the same community guidelines over bad content.
3. Twitter and Use of AI
On average, Twitter users post around 6,000 tweets per second. In such a case, AI gets necessary for dealing with such a huge amount of data.
* Tweet Recommendations - AI in Twitter
Twitter firstly implemented AI to improve and give users a better user experience (UX) that would be capable of finding interesting tweets. Now, with the help of AI, Twitter also detects and removes fraud, propaganda, inappropriate content, and hateful accounts.
This recommendation algorithm works in a very interesting way as it learns from your actions over the platform. The tweets are ranked to decide their level of interest, based on the individual users.
AI also considers your past activities of engaging with various types of tweets and uses it to recommend similar tweets.
* Twitter Enhancing Your Pictures - AI in Twitter
Posting of pictures on Twitter was introduced in the year, 2011. Since then, it has been working over an algorithm that is capable of cropping images automatically.
Firstly, they created an algorithm that focused on cropping images based on face recognition, because not every image is supposed to have a face on it. Thus the algorithm was not acceptable.
AI is now used over the platform to crop images before posting them, to make the image look more attractive.
* Tweets Filtration - AI in Twitter
Twitter uses AI to take down inappropriate images and accounts from the platform. Accounts connected to terrorism, manipulation, or spam are taken down using this feature.
* Twitter Fastening the Process -  AI in Twitter
How did Twitter use AI to speed up the platform?
For this, Twitter uses a technique called Knowledge Distillation to train smaller networks imitating the slower but strong networks. The larger network was used to generate predictions over a set of images. Then, they developed a  pruning algorithm to remove the part of the neutral network.
Using these two models Twitter managed to work over cropping of images 10x faster than ever before.
4. AI in Snapchat
Snapchat started by acquiring two AI companies. In 2015, it first acquired Looksery, a Ukrainian startup, to improvise its animated lenses feature. Secondly, it acquired AI Factory to enhance its video capabilities.
* Snapchat’s Text Recognition in Videos
Snapchat uses AI to recognize texts in the video, which then adds content to your “Snap”. If you type “Hello”, it automatically creates a comic icon or Bitmoji in the video.
* Snapchat- Cameo Feature
AI in Snapchat can be used to edit one’s face in a video. Using the Cameo feature, the users can create a cartoon video of themselves.
From the above-mentioned renowned, we can extract a list of benefits of AI and ML in Social Media, which is given below:
   Prediction of user’s behavior
Recognition of inappropriate or bad content
   Helps in improving user’s experience
More personalized experience to the users
Gathering of valuable information and user data.
AI has also helped understand human psychology, tracking multiple characteristics of your behavior and responses.

SOUTH OF EDEN UNLEASH DEBUT SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO, “DANCING WITH FIRE”
Columbus, OH based Rock band SOUTH OF EDEN (formerly BLACK COFFEE) has released their debut single and music video, “Dancing With Fire.” The song’s official music video follows the band through months on the road including the band’s first label performance (look out for a cameo by LAVA’s own Jason Flom). It includes footage from South of Eden HQ in Columbus, OH and shows the band in their natural habitat.
“We wanted this to be a personality piece, and with all of us in quarantine we knew the best way to do that was to show what we have accomplished leading up to this release. John Payne, our media man, has been following us around for the last two years! The best thing to show with raw music is raw footage.” – SOUTH OF EDEN
youtube
Rip-roaring riffs abound on this incendiary and irresistible anthem. Helmed by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer GREG WELLS (ADELE,TWENTY ONE PILOTS, DEFTONES], hyper-charged guitars, and thunderous percussion collide with towering falsetto as the refrain soars to the heavens and back. Emerging with a scorching sound of their own, the boys siphon grunge melody into classic rock-style virtuosity with unapologetic attitude and a whole lot of grit.
“We knew we wanted our first release to showcase our personalities, both in the music and visual. ‘Dancing With Fire’ is just that; personality. It’s a song about conflict, and to us that conflict is being a bunch of twenty-two-year-olds attempting to make it as a rock band in unprecedented times. We’re excited to see how people interpret the song into their own lives.” – SOUTH OF EDEN

“We’re a band that writes, records, and plays like the pioneers of rock before us. We aren’t looking to bring anything back, but instead to remind people what rock n roll means. No rules. This music represents what we believe is real, raw music. No click tracks and triggers or copy and paste bullshit. Just a bunch of hippies in a room.”
South of Eden (formerly Black Coffee) are: Ehab Omran [lead vocals, acoustic guitar], Justin Young [lead guitar, vocals], Tom McCullough [drums], and Nick Frantianne [bass]. The Columbus, OH quartet have already performed alongside everyone from the Foo Fighters to System Of A Down, and invite you to join them on their journey of looking at rock ‘n’ roll through a modern lens.
“We want to open up the doors for rock in the modern era,” exclaims Ehab. “We want to sound the way we hear rock in our heads—vintage with a sprinkle of today. We try to give listeners the feeling of discovering the genre for the first time. We think now is the moment to be a rock band.”
The band has already paid their dues to reach this point. Growing up in Columbus, OH the band formed by combining their passions and uniting over their love of music. Originally from the country of Jordan, Ehab primarily listened to the Arabic music his parents would play, in addition to superstars like Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, and James Brown. After coming to America, he was introduced to a wider range of music that inspired him: eighties and nineties rock including Guns N’ Roses and notably Queen. Just like Freddie Mercury’s parents, Ehab’s parents didn’t agree that a life in rock ‘n’ roll was the best thing for their son. However, as he met the rest of the band, his dream became a life affirming reality.
Ehab and Nick performed together in various bands (channeling Iron Maiden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Alice In Chains) and eventually joined Justin and Tom who had been working on their own band (influenced by Van Halen and Black Sabbath). Justin, who was at the time attending Berklee College of Music, describes first writing with Ehab and noted “The first jam was crazy. He came over with Tom and just listened for a while. We had the riffs to songs, and he just immediately started singing. Here I had gone to music college to find people I could mesh with stylistically, only to come back home and find that my best friend and a singer that I had already known about were all I needed!”
This newfound discovery lead to a fast-paced evolution. As Tom noted, “We didn’t have a bass player, bass amp or a bass! Ehab wrote most of the bass lines on guitar and we grooved so well. We were a band for like a week before we had booked our first show two weeks out. We ended up borrowing equipment and we became a band.” As they continued to tour, they crossed paths and shared bills with Puddle of Mudd, Red Sun Rising and recently graced the main stage of Sonic Temple and Epicenter in 2019. That very same year Jason Flom caught wind of the band and signed them to Lava Records.
When it came to recording, they honor the methods of those who come before them and “tape in a vintage way, with no click track, pitch correction, copy-paste, or any of that nonsense.”
The musicians headed to Los Angeles to record with legendary GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Greg Wells [Adele Twenty One Pilots, Deftones]. “When I first heard the band, it had its own original identity,” explains Greg. “That was something I had waited years to find. I emailed them back saying, ‘I want to be your Mutt Lang’.”
Ehab notes “It’s a mixture of a lot of things. We’re ‘classically rock’ influenced, but listen to so many different genres and eras that there are a lot of different feelings in our music.”
On the lead single Ehab describes “We knew we wanted our first release to showcase our personalities, both in the music and the visual. “‘Dancing With Fire’ is just that; personality. It’s a song about conflict, and to us that conflict is being a bunch of twenty-two-year-olds attempting to make it as a rock band in unprecedented times. We’re excited to see how people interpret the song into their own lives.”
“When you hear us, I want you to walk away thinking, ‘That was honest and different’,” Ehab leaves off. “We’re just doing what we do. We’re proof you can do anything you want and shouldn’t compromise your dreams.”

New Text-Based Conversation Platform Community Strives To Deliver What Social Media Promised, One-To-One Relationships
My friend Jefferson Graham of USA Today reached out to talk about Community, a new conversation platform that promises direct and instant communication at scale between a brand, celebrity, artist, personality and their ‘community’, via text messaging.
Cue the record scratch.
Text messaging?
But we live in a world of social media…you know, “social” media?
The great social experiment that is social is still evolving. Some might argue that in many ways, platforms have cultivated anti-social behaviors. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my connections on the platforms I use. I’ve had to though, over the years, especially recently, curate my networks to continually shape creative, productive and fulfilling engagement.
The idea of Community is to bring 1:1 engagement using a platform that still after all these years, thrives as such, text messaging.
Did you know that 90% of text messages are opened within the first 3 minutes?
Maybe they’re on to something…
I wanted to share the conversation I had with Jefferson with you here. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on the platform.
USA Today: Want to text Amy Schumer or Paul McCartney? Community can help
Over the years, social media has, app by app, helped celebrities build closer and closer connections with their fans. Going back to the early days of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snap and now TikTok, etc., made it so that direct to fan relationships could flourish, without the traditional publicists or fan teams speaking on their behalf all the time. But even though this is supposed to be ‘social’ media, the platforms ultimately owned the data and the audiences. Plus ever-evolving algorithms pretty much guaranteed that fans didn’t always see every or most updates.
Since social media gave everyone a voice, it complicated the attention economy in a way that made it almost impossible for meaningful engagement to thrive at scale. Attention became a currency that was spent and overspent on every platform. Everyone, not just celebrities, was craving attention at all costs. The onslaught of updates coming from everyone and everywhere resulted in plummeting engagement.
Then services like Cameo came along, and for a fee, celebrities could send personalized videos to fans. It was a reminder of what one-to-one engagement looks like and why it’s so special.
Now, with tCommunity, celebrities are betting on text messaging to further that personalized engagement through the semblance of one-to-one connectivity.
Is it always the celebrity reaching out?
No.
But text is a very direct and personal medium. It’s platform agnostic. It creates a closer sense of belonging and engagement and that’s what communities are all about.  I bet celebrities will actually start to feel more compelled to engage everyone personally because of the very human nature of direct engagement.
You can read Jefferson’s full story over at USA Today.

Region B Wishlist
Whenever I used to visit Amoeba Music on Sunset Blvd (which was at least once a month, 2016 through 2017), I’d make a beeline for the staircase, up up and away to the movie department. Directly to my right at the top of the staircase, in a display rack stretching the entire length of the floor, sat a single column of movies known to me as the “non-Region A” section. I could rely on the movies lurking in this small section to turn my eyes green with envy: a gorgeous Region B Blu-ray of Possession, the Vanessa Redgrave vehicle Isadora, and several other movies that seemed like the stuff my dreams were made of. Unfortunately, at the time, I had yet to invest in a region-free Blu-ray player, so that section of movies taunted me on my monthly visits to Amoeba, as I’m sure they do to many movie fans that lack the proper technology to play them.
For those uninitiated into the world of movie collecting, different regions of the world have differently coded discs that only play in that region’s disc players. Back in DVD’s heyday, that consisted of Region 1, 2, and 3. Now, in the age of Blu-ray, those regions are alphabetical rather than numerical: A, B, and C. Region A discs play in the Americas and some countries in Southeast Asia, including Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Region B discs play in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Region C discs play in any Asian countries not covered by Region A. Film copyright holders like region coding because they want to control when movies are available in specific countries. (I assume because they can make more money if they sell the American, European, and Asian distribution rights separately.)
Movie collectors, however, hate region coding. Which is why I finally splurged on my region-free Blu-ray player. I bought my first Region B discs online at Foreign Exchange Blu-ray Imports, a neat store in Culver City, California with reasonable prices and an online catalog. (You can check them out on Facebook here.) I picked up Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger’s adaptation of the opera Tales of Hoffmann from StudioCanal and the Vincent Price camp horror classic The Abominable Dr. Phibes from Arrow Video.
While I’m thrilled that I can now watch movies unavailable to the majority of casual viewers in the United States, I still hope and pray for Region A releases of the following five gems, both for simplicity’s sake and to better keep these films accessible to future appreciative audiences.
Martin, 1978, directed by George A. Romero
Martin is a disturbing little film shot in the Pittsburgh suburbs about a maybe-vampire teenage boy, who looks an awful lot like a Sprouse twin. (So maybe Cole and Dylan are the real vampires?) With black and white fantasy sequences, the gruesome reality of Martin’s vampiric conquests contrasts with his internal, romanticized version of events.
Arrow Video released a Region B DVD a few years ago, though it’s now out of print. Diabolik DVD had a Japanese Region A disc available for a time, though it sold out quickly. I hope that Martin’s copyright hell freezes over, because I would freak out for a Region A Blu-ray that I don’t have to scramble to pre-order online before it sells out. In the meantime, you can watch the movie on YouTube until legal means become available:

Napoleon, 1927, directed by Abel Gance
I probably could write several articles about the various silent films no longer available on disc in North America. (I’m still waiting for the latest restoration of Mauritz Stiller’s Saga of Gosta Berling to make its physical media debut, now that the Kino Lorber DVD is out of print.) I am planning to invest in the BFI’s Region B Blu-ray of Abel Gance’s Napoleon sooner rather than later, both because of its historical significance and the care that went into restoring it. Kevin Brownlow, film historian and author of such tomes as The Parade’s Gone By…, spent 20 years painstakingly piecing Napoleon back together and continues to discover and restore missing scenes to this day. Gance shot the final reels of Napoleon using innovative Polyvision technology, which means that the film requires three projectors to play three separate reels side-by-side for the ultimate in widescreen presentation.

Isadora, 1968, directed by Karel Reisz
I only watched the biopic Isadora thanks to a Korean copy available at my once-upon-a-time local video store in South Pasadena, Videotheque. (Visit them online here.) The sound was a bit shrill, but the image looked decent and I still enjoyed the stunning performance from a young Vanessa Redgrave as the groundbreaking dancer Isadora Duncan. The movie also features a cameo from early Hollywood star Bessie Love as Isadora’s mother.

youtube
Isadora would make a great double feature with the more recent film, The Dancer, giving a contrasting depiction of what it personally means to be an artist and a dancer: for Isadora, it’s a fancy-free attitude and imagination, for Loie Fuller, it was back-breaking work and determination. (Though Lily Rose Depp as Isadora is a disgrace, Soko slays as Loie Fuller.) I’m unaware of any plans to make Isadora widely available in North America, but you can find clips on YouTube to get a taste of what we’re missing out on.

The Devils, 1971, Ken Russell
I won’t go into much detail on this movie, because you can already read about my previous experience with The Devils here. The BFI sells a special edition DVD on their website and several streaming platforms offer it to stream intermittently, like the Criterion Channel and Shudder, but America has yet to see an official DVD or Blu-ray release of Ken Russell’s controversial tale of religious hysteria and hypocrisy.
Leather Boys, 1964, Sidney J. Furie
I saw Leather Boys at Cinefamily (before I found out it was a haven for abusers), followed by a Q&A with the director, who blessed our ears with wisdom like, “The sun is the enemy of art,” when encouraging aspiring filmmakers to shoot in cloudy locations. Leather Boys grapples with marriage and sexual identity issues in a gentle way while also making room for the audience to laugh at the naivety and passion of adolescence. I returned home that night eager to share the film with others. Unfortunately, I was not able to find it available anywhere on physical media. I’m not above watching a movie free online when I have no other options, but I’m both a movie lover and collector and can’t stand that I can’t add Leather Boys to my collection, to rewatch at my leisure and share with my friends and family. Luckily, someone uploaded it to YouTube and you can watch the whole film here:

Snapchat will launch Bitmoji TV, a personalized cartoon show
Snapchat’s most popular yet under-exploited feature is finally getting the spotlight in 2020. Starting in February with a global release, your customizable Bitmoji avatar will become the star of a full-motion cartoon series called Bitmoji TV. It’s a massive evolution for Bitmoji beyond the chat stickers and comic strip-style Stories where they were being squandered to date.
Creating original in-house shows for its Discover section that can’t be copied could help Snapchat differentiate from the plethora of short-form video platforms out there ranging from YouTube to Facebook Watch to TikTok. Bitmoji TV could also up the quality of Discover, which still feels like a tabloid magazine rack full of scantly clad women, gross-out imagery, and other shocking content merely meant to catch the eye and draw a click.

With Bitmoji TV, your avatar and those of your friends will appear in regularly-scheduled adventures ranging from playing the crew of Star Treky spaceship to being secret agents to falling in love with robots or becoming zombies. The trailer Snapchat released previews an animation style reminiscent of Netflix’s Big Mouth.
TechCrunch asked Snap for more details, including how long episodes will be, how often they’ll be released, whether they’ll include ads, and if the company acquired anyone or brought on famous talent to produce the series. A Snap spokesperson declined to provide more details, but sent over this statement: “Bitmoji TV isn’t available in your network yet, but stay tuned for the global premiere soon!”
The Snapchat Show page for Bitmoji TV notes it is coming in February 2020. Users can visit here on mobile to subscribe to Bitmoji TV so it shows up prominently on their Discover page, or turn on notifications about its new content.
Snap realizes Bitmoji’s value
Snap has had a tough few years as many of its core features have been ruthlessly copied by the Facebook family of apps. Instagram Stories killed Snap’s growth for years and effectively stole the broadcast medium from its inventor. Facebook also ramped up it augmented reality selfie filters, added more ephemeral messaging features, and launched Watch as a competitor to Snapchat Discover.
Two years ago I wrote that Facebook was crazy not to be competing with Bitmoji too. Six months later we were first to report Facebook Avatars was in the works, and this year they launched as Messenger chat stickers in Australia with plans for a global release in 2019 or early 2020. But Facebook’s slow movement here, Google’s half-assed entry, and Twitter’s lack of an attempt have given Snapchat’s Bitmoji a massive headstart. And now Snap is finally leveraging it.
“TV” is actually a return to Bitmoji’s roots. The startup Bitstrips originally offered an app for customizing the face, hair, clothes, and more of your avatar and then creating comic strips for them to appear in. Snap acquired Bitstrips back in 2016 for just $64.2 million — a steal not far off from Facebook snatching Instagram for under a billion. The standalone Bitmoji app blew up as soon as Snapchat began offering the avatars as chat stickers. It had over 330 million downloads as of April according to Sensor Tower despite Snapchat now letting you create your avatar in its main app.
Eventually, Snap began expanding Bitmoji’s uses. In 2017 Bitmoji went 3D and you could start overlaying them as augmented reality characters on your Snaps. The next year Snap improved their graphics, then launched the Snap Kit developer platform and Bitmoji Kit. This allows apps to build atop Snapchat login and use your Bitmoji as a profile pic. Soon they were appearing as Fitbit smart watch faces, alongside your Venmo transaction, and on Snapchat-sold merchandise from t-shirts to mugs. It’s part of a wise strategy to beat copycats by allowing allies to use real thing rather than building their own knock-off. That’s fueled the “Snapback” comeback which has seen Snap’s share price climb out of the gutter at $5.79 at the start of 2019 to $16.09 now.
One of Snap smartest innovations was Bitmoji Stories — the ancestor to Bitmoji TV. These daily Stories let you tap frame-by-frame through short comic strip-style interactions starring your avatar. Occasionally Bitmoji Stories would include rudimentary animation, but most frames were still images with text bubbles. Bitmoji could once again drive a narrative, rather than just being a communication tool. Still, they seem underutilized.
In 2019, Snapchat wised up. Bitmoji have become nearly ubiquitous amongst teens and Snapchat’s 210 million daily users. They’re the Google or Kleenex of cartoonish personalized avatars. Their goofy nature is also a perfect fit for Snapchat, and a reason they’re tough for stiffer and older tech giants to convincingly copy.
In April, Snap announced its new games platform inside its messaging feature that let you play as your Bitmoji against friends’ avatars in games ranging from Mario Party ripoff Bitmoji Party to tennis, shoot-em ups, and cooking competitions. Snap injects ads into the games, making Bitmoji key to its efforts to monetize its central messaging use case. Last month it launched custom and branded clothing for Bitmoji, which could open opportunities to earn money selling premium outfits or showing off brand sponsorships.
To truly take advantage of Bitmoji’s unique popularity, though, Snap needed to build longer-form experiences with the avatars at the center that . Stickers and Stories and games were fun, but none felt like must-see content. With Bitmoji TV, Snap may have found a way to get users to drag their friends into the app. Since everyone sees their own Bitmoji as the star, the cartoons could be more compelling then ones with impersonal characters you might find elsewhere around the web.
But Bitmoji TV’s success will depend largely on the quality of the writing. If your avatar is constantly getting into funny, meme-worthy situations, you’ll keep coming back to watch. But Snap’s teen audience has a keen nose for inauthentic bullsh*t. If the Shows feel forced, too childish, or boring, Bitmoji TV will flop. Snap would be savvy to invest in great Hollywood talent to produce the episodes.
High quality Bitmoji TV shorts could rescue Snapchat Discover from its own mediocrity. There are a few strong brands like ESPN SportsCenter on the platform, and Snap has several original Shows with over 25 million unique viewers. It’s also greenlit additional seasons of Shows like Dead Girls Detective Agency and new biopic clips from Serena Williams and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Still, a scroll through the Discover and Shows sections reveals plenty of trashy clickbait that surely scares away premium advertisers.
Bitmoji TV could offer video that’s not only fun and snackable, but out of reach for competitors who don’t have a scaled avatar platform of their own. As with the recent launch of Snapchat Cameos, the company has realized that the most addictive experiences center on its users’ own faces. Snapchat turned the selfie into the future of communication. Bitmoji TV could make an animated recreation of your selfie into the future of content.
